- Johan (10/5): Love at first sight! - The hotel is located a short walk from the citycenter. From the porch you have two meters to the river. Nice chairs to sig and watch the sunset. The owners was fantastic. They helped you with everything. Nice and clean room with a very good aircondition. For me, this was love at first sight!
- ALAIN (8/5): Bon séjour, mais description Hotels.com erronée - Séjour agréable dans un logement moderne et situé en face du rio avec une belle vue. Hôte prévenant. A repondu rapidement à nos demandes. Neanmoins, la description d'Hotels.com était erronée car il etait indiqué piscine et possibilté de petit déjeuner, critères qui nous ont poussé à prendre ce logement, or il n'y avait rien de tout cela. Quand nous avons voulu vérifier sur le site, Hotels.com indiquait qu'il ne gérait plus cette location! Incroyable car Hotels.com me demande de repondre a la fiche de satisfaction. Concernant le logement proprement dit, la description etait peu détaillée. Il est situé un peu loin du centre du village, surtout quand il pleut, le chemin etant en terre. Le logement est de bonne taille, mais n'avait ni armoire pour ranger nos vêtements, ni chaises, ni table, ni bouilloire, ni machine à café. Or pas de café proche pour prendre un petit dejeuner. Isolation murs et toit insuffisante, on entend parler les voisins. Par contre présence d'un coffre non indiqué que nous avons decouvert le dernier jour car installé sous le lavabo de la salle de bains.

- Armandina (10/5): - Quiet, hasi it’s own dock for boats, shuttles pick you up the property as long as you wait for them outside.owner connects you with a tour company that is very reliable . Rooms have hot water an air conditioning which is a blessing when you come back from the outdoor activities. Love the place and donot think there is a nicer place this close to the village.

The staff was excellent and arranged to have someone at the water taxi on each end to help guide us from La Pavona to Tortuguero to Casablanca. We didn’t notice the “no hot water” on the description but the shower was refreshing on the hot day. Air conditioning was excellent in every way. It would’ve been nice to have blankets on the beds, especially on the bottom beds (just a sheet) but not a huge deal for us. The pool would be fun for kids (it is the size of a hot tub). The staff was very prompt to respond on WhatsApp when they weren’t nearby.
- Scott (10/5): - Great stay in a clean room with a large bed and bathroom perfect for our stay in Tortuguero. The room had air conditioning and a great view right on the water with two rocking chairs on a nice porch area. Within walking distance to the town.

- roisin (10/5): - This property has a central location in the small village that is easily walkable to the main attractions and less than a 5 min walk from where the small ferry boats arrive. It has a very small clean pool, fridge and coffee making facilities. It was well priced and we preferred to spend the extra money on the tours. Air-conditioning was perfect. There is a well priced supermarket on the corner and an ice-cream shop and cafe just a few doors down. It is on the way to the night turtle tour. We enjoyed it as a family of 5
- Magnus (8/5): - Great little place next to the beach and quick walk into town. Would have been great to have some more lights in the property but very small detail. The aircon was a gift sent from heaven.
- CEDRIC (8/5): - Nice hotel, a few minutes from center ! Quiet. There is a supermarket at 1 minute. Be careful, there is no ATM on Tortuguero and the only solution is the restaurant in front the supermarket that proposes cash, with your credit card. It can be useful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ottima sistemazione - Soggiorno presso la "depandance", Casablanca Torre. Meno centrale della struttura principale ma più tranquilla e con un magnifico affaccio sul canale. A due minuti dalla spiaggia. Ottima pulizia. Servizio wifi e smart tv. La barca da La Pavona ci ha lasciati e ripresi direttamente dal molo davanti alla camera.

Henry and Zajaria (did I get that right? ) were super helpful! They helped with the TV, gave us extra blankets, and helped me with my Spanish. We had a great stay!

- Karen (10/5): - Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Hotel Casablanca. Bereits vor unserer Ankunft wurden wir über alles wichtige per WhatsApp informiert- vom persönlichen Parkservice bis hin zum persönlichen Bringen zur Unterkunft. Die Gastgeberfamilie war unglaublich hilfsbereit. Gleich bei unserer Ankunft wurde uns am Strand ein Faultier gezeigt- z.B. Hilfe bei der etwas komplizierten Buchung via Internet zum Nationalpark und meinem Sohn wurde sogar der persönliche Laptop des Gastgebers zur Verfügung gestellt- damit er das Deutschland Spiel schauen konnte. Kurzer Weg zum Strand und Stadt. Es gibt auch noch eine große Wohnung im Hotel, von der aus man Leguane und Affen beobachten kann. Wir können das Hotel Casablanca uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Danke für diese schöne Zeit
- Traci (10/5): - We arrived to Tortuguero on July 2, 2024. Our room was so nice! We were on the front street side. The room was huge, with a giant bathroom with a shower and an extra large 2 person soaking tub. Great mattresses….1 queen, and solid bunk beds with a trundle, so it slept 5. Small pool, but perfect for us. Henry is a great guy! We highly recommend!
- mengling (8/5): - Good a/c, spacious apartment and many kinds of birds around. However, the maintenance of the facility can be improved and it would be nice if the manager could go over the essential when guests arrive rather than having guests to discover issues( broken curtain rod, moldy coffee maker and missing keys for patio glass doors etc) related to their stay. Sadly, the house is only two year old but deteriorates beyond its age.
- Gill (10/5): - We loved our stay, very friendly hotel. Beautiful Island. We had to travel for two of the days back and forth to Torteguero so missed out on two nights. Easier to be in San Jose for our flights. Hotel said they would refund the days.

Notre chambre était située à l'entrée du village à l'écart de l'hôtel (15 mn du centre du village donc pas de soucis). Nous n'avons eu aucun contact avec le personnel de l'hôtel qui était situé dans le centre du village. Nous y sommes allés mais n'avons trouvé personne !

- Héctor Allan (8/5): Amplia y con buen AC, hermosos atardeceres - Habitación amplia con buen clima de AC, TV de buen tamaño y una excelente vista hacia canal tortuguero donde podrás ver hermosos atardeceres, y solo a unos pasos tienes la playa donde puedes ver hermosos amaneceres. Como mejoras cambiaria las almohadas por unas de nivel hotelero, ya que son algo incómodas y checaría el tema del internet ya que estuvo muy lento, prácticamente imposible de usar
- Andrew (8/5): Nice place but a few flaws that need sorting - A nice place but an bit of an indifferent welcome followed by a few minor problems. The kitchen has great facilities unless you need to heay water or cook. Just 2 frying pans or a huge pot to use. No regular kettle or coffee machine so we had to use the microwave to heat water. The refrigerator was temperamental too and leaked water. Also, the owners were absent and we could not find anyone when we needed someone - we ran out of toilet paper and also wanted blankets. This happened 3 or 4 times and we shouted and knocked but nobody was to be found.

Canoe tour, night tour and transport to Puerto Viejo arranged via the hotel - and these were all fantastic and great value. Maw (who arranged these) met us from the boat and was very helpful

- Venkat (8/5): Great Place to Stay. - It was great from the start to the finish. Even before our arrival we received a lot of specific details on how to prepare for our stay. For those of you who don't know, Tortugeuro island can only be reached by boat. Starting at La Pavona boat dock, we were met by a guide, Donis, who showed us to the boat which took us to the island. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Adrian who carried part of our luggage and walked us over to the hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay for one-night at Hotel Casablanca Tortugeuro. It was clean and compact with an unexpectedly large bathroom. Henry is a wonderful host! He went out of his way to get some coffee for me. In a great central location. Supermarket and restaurants around the corner, boat docks and beach only a couple minutes walking. We went to bed early to get ready for a 5 AM wake up for a canoe tour but were kept awake by the neighbors, locals not tourists, who live across the street who were talking fairly loudly among themselves well past 11 PM. Some dog barking every now and then. Not the hosts fault, I guess this happens everywhere else in the island given how close the houses are to each other. Not a big deal however. It was definitely a great place to stay and we wnjoyed our visit to Tortuguero.

L espace n est pas vraiment optimisé. Le plus était le frigo et la possibilité de profiter d un petit jardin calme. L accès aux chambres a l arrière n est pas totalement fini : l impression est que c est sale. Dommage !

- Celine (6/5): - Nous n'avons pas eu les clés du coffre fort (un client précédent serait parti avec) Pas le code wifi non plus...et personne à l'accueil nous avons demandé le code aux clients d une autre chambre. Le personnel ne semblait pas motivé à nous aider. Sinon la chambre était très propre et l'hôtel est bien placé

- Michael (10/5): Tolle Unterkunft direkt in Tortuguero - Wir hatten das Familienhaus für eine Nacht gebucht. Es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer jeweils mit Doppelbetten und in zwei dieser Schlafzimmer können noch Doppelbetten dazu ausgezogen werden. Es gibt eine große Küche und einen großen Aufenthaltsraum mit TV, Kicker und Tischtennisplatte. Ein Frühstückslokal ist 50m entfernt. Es war sehr sauber und alles in einem guten Zustand. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
- Selvi (10/5): - Wir wurden sehr freundlich und herzlich vom gastgeber, henry und seiner familie, begrüßt. Henry war ein kommunikativer und hilfsbereiter mensch , der uns in unseren anliegen sofort geholfen hat. Das zimmer und das bad sind groß, sauber, es war alles vorhanden was man brauchte! Das hotel ist zentral gelegen, zur einen seite läufst du eine minute zum strand und zur anderen seite kommst du innerhalb einer minute in die stadt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten liegen direkt um die ecke Wir würden das hotel definitiv weiter empfehlen, denn wir hatten einen fabelhaften aufenthalt. Vielen dank und liebe grüße selvi& Frank
