• Guest (6/5): - La ubicación. y el personal amable La habitacion que nos toco daba a la calle, no habia persianas ni cortinas para que no pasara la luz y a las 5:30 era de dia ya. Además, se escuchaba todo, coches que pasaban al lado, gatos y perros callejeros peleandose, la gente hablando.

• Cloe (8/5): Très bon emplacement - Super emplacement pour aller à pied dans la ville. Logement spacieux et propre. Emplacement bruyant, pas de volet pour qu'il fasse noir. Pas de vrai parking, il faut se garer dans la rue et ça peut être difficile en période estivale.

• Giovanni (7/5): Great for a quick trip to Gjirokaster - We loved the guest house’s central location. It's just a five to ten-minute uphill walk from the bus station, which is to be expected in this hillside town, but it didn’t feel like much effort at all. We were only carrying daypacks though. From here, the beautiful old town is just a short, almost effortless walk away through the narrow cobbled street of stone houses. Our room faced the road, but privacy wasn’t an issue — unless the person walking past is over 2 m tall and peering hard, they can't look in. We only noticed the occasional car passing by, and it was not too disruptive. Inside, the room was basic but perfectly functional. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated having a fridge. The bathroom was small, and the shower wasn’t sectioned off, so things did get a bit wet - but slippers were provided, so it wasn’t a problem at all for our short two-night stay. Best of all, the owner is an absolutely lovely lady who was always happy to help and made our stay that much more pleasant.

• Elodie (8/5): Good value room in Gjirokaster - It was fairly close to the old town and quiet. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly. It had a private entrance so it felt like your own accommodation. About 20 mins walk from the bus station uphill and then also 5/10 mins uphill to old town. The kitchenette did not have any equipment to cook with, which is one reason why we booked it. It also wasn’t thoroughly cleaned between visits, we found empty bottles from previous guests in the bathrooms and it was clear things had just been given a quick wipe down.

I really liked how close it was to the highlights of the city - When I arrive to my locations by bus, I like to walk to my accommodation to get some exercise but it was hot and most uphill. But that said, it was in an excellent location to visit the castle, go to the colourful markets, eat a meal and be in the hub bub of the scene! The room was air conditioned-always a plus. It was a slog uphill and I’d recommend a taxi.

I only wish I had more time to explore everything. I slept like a baby 😎, the bed was extremely comfortable and just had everything I needed right there. • Maximilia (10/5): Amazing staff and location - First of all, the location is perfect: it is right next to both the Bazar and the Castle. Secondly, but not less important, the staff were amazing. The landlady invited us to some coffee and fruit, and they always kept the whole house as clean as a whistle. The room was very large and cozy, which allowed for a good rest and space to organise our belongings. The bathroom was also very clean and had everything one could need. The views from our window were perfect! I'd recommend it right away if someone is planning to go to Gjirokastër. We will miss them!

Beautiful family. The only thing -maybe- is that is very cold at night (end january- beginning february) and the ac is not enough haha but we had blankets and Raki.

• Helen (9/5): Would happily stay here again - Location is great for old town. Bit of a hike uphill but it’s a hilly city. Very picturesque. Owners are very kind & friendly. Room was spacious & fairly quiet. Having a kitchen was great although it could be better equipped Thicker curtains would be nice to block the street light NOT a comment on accommodation but a warning to other travellers: beware of scammers near bus station!! Literally, got taken for a ride & grateful to have survived it.
• Lauren (9/5): Wonderful Homestay - Very friendly family, clean large room. Wonderful view of castle out of bedroom window! Thank you for sharing your home with us :) Nothing- but my own mistake when I clicked on the property I saw it had A/C, but did not notice that only certain rooms did! The one we had booked did not. It ended up being fine as the weather cooled down the two days we were there, but I do think you would be hot in the summer without a/c if you aren’t used to the climate

The apartment is located next to the street so it's quite noisy. There is no natural light in it. Quite poor ventilation, so you can feel this characteristic humid smell.

• Javier (10/5): Simply perfect. Faleminderit! - Best place we stayed in Albania. Nice big room with amazing views of the "Kalaja". The owners are awesome, such a nice people. They offered coffee when we arrived and at night gave us homemade raki from the vines of their garden. The last day even the lady gave us some fried bread with cheese that she has prepared for our journey. They are so nice, seriusly, faleminderit for everything!! Hope to see you again. Too many light in the room, you wake up with the first light, but its worth 😀

Use of little courtyard garden with grapes growing. Two little corner shops a short walk away. Owners very helpful and friendly. Strongly recommend. Was perfect.

The hosts served coffee in courtyard in morning and were so accommodating. The apartment had two twin beds, sofa and table, super clean bathroom with nice hot hot water for shower and sink. The room was not in interior courtyard of guest house, but right on street. A little noise occasionally. No TV.
• Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Very spacious and clean room with a little kitchenette and its own bathroom. Cheaper than a hostel dorm! My room had its own entrance from the street and the place is not far from the bazaar and lots of restaurants. Also not too far from the bus station. Lovely host as well!
