• Rebecca (10/5): A beautiful place with lovely mountains, great food and a warm and intelligent host. - The owner was very intelligent, warm person who to great care to make us welcome. The view was wonderful, the location was close to may attractions. There are great restaurants, museum, and hiking nearby. It was the off season and the weather was cold and rainy.

Очень уютный дворик, особенно приятно там завтракать в хорошую погоду. Отличные виды. Гостеприимная хозяйка, дополнительно есть вкусные домашние завтраки и ужины. Комнаты дачного типа. Есть своя небольшая кухня. В межсезонье может быть прохладно, но потом комната прогревается. Мало розеток и в трехместной комнате маловато места для вещей. Но есть один шкафчик с вешалками и полками. Вай-фай не всегда работает из-за погодных условий.
• Elena (9/5): - This guesthouse is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are spacious, kitchen's equipped, and the outdoor seating was spectacular! Our stay was calm and smooth. Nelli is a friendly and hospitable host. She kindly offered us free early checkin and was very responsive. My husband speaks Armenian but I don't, so she addressed me in English and we communicated really well. Thank you Dilijan Orran staff! The bathroom is a bit small, the shower was great, but the outer floor didn't have a drain, which kept it wet for extended amounts of time. The house also had many insects, which is normal in Dilijan because of the nature, but people with phobias should be extra careful.
• Karl-Gunther (2/5): Never again - It was a cheap accomodation. This stay was a new experience... in a negative sense. We didn't get the apartment we had booked – I had booked two bedrooms, but we only had one. The other rooms were locked. The dinner was poor quality – it was adequate, but you can get better and cheaper food in the restaurants in Dilijan. That's why we declined dinner the next evening and also declined breakfast. I had expected there to be a washing machine in the apartment, but we had to give our laundry to the manager and pay 1,500 AMD – after washing, our clothes smelled of frying oil and smoke, so we had to wash everything again at our next accommodation.
• Mariska (10/5): Een charmante en persoonlijke guesthouse van waaruit je Dilijan en de omgeving goed kunt verkennen. - Ons verblijf bij Nelly was zo fijn dat we een extra nacht hadden bijgeboekt. De huisjes zorgen voor veel privacy en ruimte en het uitzicht vanaf het terras was prachtig. Het ontbijt en avondeten bij Orran was ook heerlijk. De omgeving is uitstekend voor wandelen waarna we heel goed hebben gegeten bij de guesthouse.

• Jasmina (10/5): Liebevolles Hotel in Dilijan - Wir fanden das Orran Hotel super. Die Anlage ist super schön und liebevoll gestaltet. Nelly ist total nett und wir hatten dort das beste Abendessen auf unserer Reise! Wir hatten ein riesiges Zimmer und es war sehr heimelig eingerichtet. Alles war sauber und es gibt Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig und am Hügel gelegen, mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen :) -

• Elena (9/5): - We liked the guest house very much, the view at the mountains is beautiful, the host and other personnel very friendly and accommodating. The location is quiet, you can go for hikes in the vicinity, there are grocery shops you can get to on foot. They serve traditional Armenian food which was very good. All in all it was a very nice stay we will remember fondly.

The house is ideally located a bit out side of Dilijan, far from the crowd, about 5-8 minutes drive from downtown and in the intersection of other activities (trekking, monasteries, wine tasting, etc.) It’s calm and private. The common space is charming. The rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with everything we need. Our host was very nice and always ready to help us whenever we need. Breakfast can be a bit more expensive than at other places but it was the best breakfast of all the guest houses BF we had in Armenia. Diner is also delicious and local, the kind of homemade food you can’t find in restaurants.

We found Nelly the host to be friendly, helpful, and responsive to our requests. Nelly is an excellent cook and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and dinner that we had. The food was tasty, interesting, and excellent value. My husband has a dietary requirement and she happily prepared some options for him. We would stay here again :-)

Nelly is exactly the kind of person you wish every host to be, incredibly kind, accommodating and also a great chef. We had both the dinner and the breakfast and they were both excellent. Would stay here again and would also recommend to solo women travellers (I was not but always like to note these safe places as a person who does travel alone often). merci Nelly! We only booked one night 😕

• Radina (6/5): Didn’t meet our expectations - sorry! - Liked the photos on the internet and the high rating but in reality it turned out to be much different than expected. however it was clean and there was a nice garden. Very small uncomfortable beds, old furniture like taken from a flea market… Moisture in one of the rooms on the wall. Both rooms below ground level with absolutely no view. Not even coffee, tea or anything else in the so called “kitchen” for the guests. I understand that there’s reasoning behind that to purchase their breakfast at an additional cost, but cmon, not everything should be about money in this life.. The electric sockets came out of the wall, need serious repair. Absolutely not worth for the money considering the location which is 45-50 minute walk from the city centre.

• Tanel (10/5): A quiet place and beautiful place with delicious food - Great apartment with private bathroom, kitchen and sitting area in the front. The owner is really nice and takes care of all of your needs. She also speaks good English. I would really recommend to get breakfast and dinner in the guesthouse as it is simply very very delicious - everything homemade by themselves. The location is very quiet - closest shop is 10-15min walk away. Get a taxi to go to the city centre.

The lady of the house (Nelly) has made us delicious dinner during our 8 days stay. The house is located outside a city center but to get a taxi it's not a problem and it cost around €1-2.

We travelled as a family with a car so we didn't have any problems reaching the place, we could park the car on the property's territory, which was very useful. The room was nice and clean with gorgeous view. We also ordered breakfasts, I could totally recommend it, we found it a little bit more expensive than average price in other guest houses but it was tasty, you can try Armenian products. We also got a dinner once, which was also tasty and homey. I also want to mention Nelly, the owner of the place. She was very nice and helpful, gave us tips on where we could go, she was very accommodating. Overall the guest house is really nice, would definitely stay there again. It was a bit chilly in the room, which was actually nice, but it means that the floors are always cold, I would recommend taking socks or home slippers with you. There are electric heaters in rooms, that we used at night, but they are making quite loud noises than they are heating up or cooling down.

Nelly is so kind, happy and peaceful that makes stay special. And finally the food is excellent and the terrace for breakfast (and also dinner) is just a perfect spot.

Everything matches the description. Aesthetically. It was really silent. Breakfast was great. I had no problems. I highly recommend this facility. There isn't a lot of light inside. It is best to travel by car because it is located outside of the city centre. Apart from that, everything went well for me.

Breakfast and also dinner was all hand cooked with love and a lot of Armenian flavour in - absolutely recommendable. The rooms are in very good shape and look super nice, as you would expect them to look given the mountain scenery around. If we would return to Dilijan, for sure we would love to stay here again. The guesthouse is a bit remote (~3-4km from the city center), but gg cars are cheap and available so we did not have any issue with that.

It's outside Dilijan on very bumpy roads so a difficult drive. That meant we stayed put and didn't want to go into Diligan. But what we really didn't like was the fact that the bathroom is outside the property. It was all a bit run down and in need of renovation.

We had our own car so the distance to "downtown" wasn't a problem. The mattress was a bit "springy" and the room smelled like (maybe) chlorine. It was a pretty cold in the bathroom, even with the heater. The wifi in the room was a bit spotty/not reliable too.

• Gustaoprieto (9/5): Good place, staff and cooker! - The room was actually a mini apartment, with a kitchen and bathroom. It had enough space for three. The beds were fine. The woman who runs the Guest House was very nice and nice. She speaks good English, she cooked us dinner and breakfast, and everything was excellent. My two friends took a shower and they warned me that the hot water came and went... when I took a shower, I had no problems, so I don't know what happened. In the bathroom the electric heater was not enough. Luckily it wasn't too cold.

• Marigadzh (10/5): Exceptional - The place is amazing, it is located in quite area a bit far from historical center but it’s not a problem at all (taxi is cheap around), it’s also a good spot for a hiking start. Other benefits - breakfast and dinner are delicious , it’s homemade from local products. 100% recommended!

• Hamlet_hay (10/5): Amazing one night stay! - Very calm and beautiful location, although a little far from the city. The breakfast was just amazing. You feel at home there! All was fine, but be informed that if you are travelling with a kid, they do not have baby cots to provide.

This guest house has a very special atmosphere, which is even difficult to describe! If you'll visit it, you will understand what i mean :) Everything is perfect!
