• Julia (5/5): - Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich großartig und auch das Frühstück hat mich absolut überzeugt – vielfältig, frisch und ein perfekter Start in den Tag. Leider gibt es aber auch einige deutliche Kritikpunkte: Im gesamten Haus ist es sehr hellhörig. Im Zimmer hört man praktisch jede Tür, die geöffnet oder geschlossen wird, was die Nachtruhe stark beeinträchtigt. Zusätzlich sorgt das zum Hotel gehörende Café, das sehr lange geöffnet hat, für weiteren Lärm – bei meinem Aufenthalt war es bis etwa 1:30 Uhr nachts laut und bereits ab ca. 5:00 Uhr morgens (vermutlich durch Reinigungstätigkeiten) ging es wieder los. Auch die Heizung wurde erst eingeschaltet, als uns vom Personal das Zimmer gezeigt wurde, wodurch es anfangs recht kalt war. Auch das Badezimmer ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt durch die Abnutzung (z. B. Fugen) nicht mehr wirklich sauber, selbst wenn es grundsätzlich gepflegt ist. In Summe gleichen die tolle Lage und das sehr gute Frühstück einiges wieder aus, sodass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis insgesamt noch in Ordnung ist. Aufgrund der massiv gestörten Nachtruhe würde ich persönlich jedoch nicht noch einmal hier übernachten.

• Tom (6/5): Hotel hat seine besten Zeiten hinter sich. - Die Lage ist wirklich super. Das Hotel hat aber seine besten Zeiten lange hinter sich. Das Zimmer war sauber und ausreichend für eine Nacht. Das Personal hat mir auch angeboten, das Fahrrad in den Hinterhof zu stellen. Das Frühstück ist ok, man muss 200 m weiter, was für mich ok war. Obwohl ich meine Kreditkarte angegeben hatte und das Hotel hier schreibt, man kann mit allen Karten bezahlen, wurde ich gezwungen, mit Bargeld zu bezahlen. Angeblich ist der Praktikantin das Kartengerät runtergefallen. Unmöglich fand ich, dass zum Sonntag morgen um 7 Uhr die Handwerker irgendwelche Reparaturen durchgeführt haben. Es wurde laut gehämmert, die Nacht war früh vorbei.

The spartan room was tiny and hot with no fan and only one outlet (more in bathroom). Mattresses were lumpy and the "two beds" was really just one. It's a couple of rooms over a restaurant. Breakfast is down the street (but excellent, the best part). You can do better in this town.

• Anna (7/5): Good - It is right in the middle of the city in the main square full of cafes and restaurants (the place has its own cafe too, the seating area outside looks great, the interior is a bit old fashioned). The rooms are simple but clean, it is a very good value for money. The breakfast, although served in a different cafe belonging to the same chain, 2 minutes away, was excellent, fresh bread and rolls, cold cuts, fresh fruit, cereals and some local pastry (apfelstrudel and topfenstrudel), and it starts at 7 a.m. so it is convenient for those who want to set off early. I had a bike with me, I was shown a place that apparently was not intended as bike storage but it was OK and it felt safer than on the street (where there are public rails to lock it to as well). There were no power outlets in the room, one had to charge their phone in the bathroom - a little bit inconvenient. It was a bit noisy, you could hear your neighbours entering and leaving their room, locking the door etc., and unfortunately they had some rather noisy kids with them.
• Alenkah (9/5): Perfect location - Old-fashioned little hotel on a good place and with great staff. We had a big room with wonderful view on Melk Monastery. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned up. The great thing (for us) is that they accommodate pets, so we could come with our dog. :-) The breakfast is served in a different place nearby, but it is rich and tasty. It is not possible to pay by card. :-(

Ripped couch, old furniture. Could put some money into refurbishing the room to meet the price of what we paid to stay there.
