- Karen (10/5): Perfection really, nothing we would change & would most definitely go back! - A beautiful little space in a fantastic setting but still close to everything. Surrounded by nature with oceans views, what more could you need! We found it quite hard to regulate the shower temperature, but thatâs really no big deal at all.
- Sian (8/5): - Beautiful simple accommodation. Great for a one night stay at Cresent Head. Enjoy the bottle of wine we accidentally left there!
- Suzi (10/5): Perfect location, wonderful hosts and a very comfortable stay. - Everything! What a great little find. Perfect for a couple of nights. Great location and perfect hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thoughtful little touches to make us feel welcome. Beautiful linens and fluffy towels. The resort style pool was delightful. Highly recommend. Thank you Anna and Max. Not a thing.
- Ree Coverie (9/5): -
- McNeill (9/5): I'll be back. Quiet. Peaceful. Pool and spa to myself đđ»đâđŠș - Perfect for the single traveller. Beautiful crisp sheets and a multitude of comfy pillows to choose from. It is a bit squishy in the "kitchen" area. However, the bathroom and bedroom were spacious.
- Walsh (10/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): -
- Angus (7/5): Pleasant spot in close proximity to Cresent Head Town - It's a nice spot for couples wanting to be out of town ! Property needs some updating and maintenance!
- Karen (8/5): Lovely stay close to Crescent Head - Serene and beautiful location, short drive to town (loved Crescent Head). Were greeted on arrival by Max and were then left to our own devices. Amazing view from the bedroom. Great pool with shady spot to sit and admire the view - lovely resort feel. A little bit tired. Water from shower flows into bathroom. Small bar fridge only.
- THOMAS (8/5): Overall nice stay , wouldnât recommend driving into property without 4WD - View from bed Could do with privacy screening from back door
- Pam (9/5): -
- Kevin (8/5): We loved the quiet and clean room and the view of sunrise. - Breakfast? Coffee was good!
Linens, kitchenware, bath ammenities, VIEW! Pool was dated(rusted furniture) and we were unable to use the spa.
No information on how to get to the beach from the property as advertised.
- Adriana (9/5): -
- Paul (10/5): You will never want to leave - Location, view and facilities were all outstanding The only negative was the shower was difficult to get the temperature correct
- Rhonda (8/5): Great property - strongly recommend - The location was excellent beautiful property with relaxed atmosphere and outstanding views. The shower was very difficult to regulate
- Florent (8/5): -
- Tony (10/5): - The house was easy to find, the key was in the door ready for us and everything was clean, neat and tidy.
Lovely view from the bedroom, the only minor thing was we found it difficult to adjust the shower temperature.
A great stay would recommend and certainly stay again.
- Megan (8/5): Peaceful & relaxing - Stunning location & view with a beautiful pool.
- Beverley (10/5): -
- Tiah (10/5): -
- Haydon (10/5): - We arrived at The Pool House and had a great introduction with Max.
It was a very homely stay, with 'relaxation' written all over it.
We had privacy and full access to all facilities with no hassles at all.
We recommend The Pool House to anyone and everyone.
Thanks Max and Anna! Struggling to think of things there wasn't to like.
- Bruce (8/5): -
- Barb (10/5): - Serenity
Great facilities
Amazing views
Pool
- John (10/5): Compact and super comfortable - Compact and super comfortable Nothing to dislike
- Jeff and Donna (8/5): A short stay that catered for our needs.Peaceful bush setting with ocean views - Every need was catered . The area was small but functional Shower was tricky to adjust. Our ability to navigate the TV was dismal
- Rick (10/5): -
- Devika (9/5): Great for a short weekend getaway - The location, the view from the bed, and itâs more suitable if youâre coming for a pool party to do barbecue with friends or family. I think that there was something wrong with the Wi-Fi password because it wasnât working. And I called the property managers, but it seemed like they couldnât really help me. In which case I wasnât able to use Netflix or YouTube that was provided with the TV that came in the room.
Also, I would have preferred if the bathrooms had a door to the showers. Because otherwise, water would be everywhere.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Marcelle (9/5): - Magnificent view. An excellent way to break up a long drive along the coast.
- Mitchell (10/5): - Love the Pool House, what a stunning location & very accomodating hosts!
- Renae (6/5): - Nice view and comfy bed
Lots of kookaburras It is a bit tight for space.
Outdoor kitchen is very minimal. BBQ and sink.
Shower is hard to get to a comfortable and consistent temperature.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - To wake up in the morning to see the best of both worlds the National park meet the ocean. You could hear the ocean watch the sunrise in bed. Very warm didn't need heating for this time of the year. Great outdoor setting. No hand rail to hold onto going up and down the stairs. 3 other little things need attention too.
- Glenda (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (1/5): No Help in a Medical Emergency â Felt Completely Helpless - No Help in a Medical Emergency â Felt Completely Helpless
I had a deeply distressing experience during this stay. My husband became seriously ill overnight â vomiting constantly, with a high fever. We were in a remote location with no hospital nearby. I contacted the host in the morning and was told it was fine to stay âa bit longer.â I specifically said that if I stayed another night, I would let her know â but I never did.
We had arrived at 1:00 AM and left by 1:00 PM. During that time, I was doing everything alone to care for my nearly unconscious husband and get him to a hospital. I felt completely helpless. The host offered no assistance, no support, and no concern â just silence.
Days later, she tried to charge us for another night and claimed we agreed to it, which is absolutely untrue. She also accused us of not paying a pet fee that was never mentioned anywhere in the listing or during our booking. I wouldnât have minded if it had been communicated clearly, but it wasnât.
This lack of empathy during a crisis was extremely upsetting. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what we did. Cristina King No Help in a Medical Emergency â Felt Completely Helpless

- Judith (8/5): Very good - Simple and suited our needs . Ocean view
- Warren (9/5): Superb - Tranquil amount the trees, quiet. Lovely outlook with the big windows. It was too cold (for us) to cook and eat outside. Inside facilities are pretty cramped. Fine for a night however.
We didn't meet our hosts, maybe because our door was closed!

- Con (8/5): Very good -
- Roslyn (7/5): Special but a few details needed attention. - No milk for a cup of tea on arrival. The cushions on the outdoor furniture were wet. The approach to the house after rain was difficult to negotiate. One of the blinds wouldnât go down for privacy.

- Judy (2/5): Wouldnât recommend Dissapointed - Nice surroundings Mowing and whipper snippers and loud blower where l staying Not much privacy couldnât sit at the windows with cars arriving and going My only big complaint wad l walked to town and coming back a unattended large dog barking and standing its ground wouldnât key me get to my toom ad l didnt know the dog and it didnt know me Unprofessional stay đ

Luckily had enough provisions for dinner. Not happy with drive in & out of property. Pool a little dirty, spa Ice cold. Was looking forward to swim & spa on arrival. Not to be!

- Lorraine (9/5): Superb -
- Korina (9/5): Superb - Absolutely stunning views! Laying in bed and in the distance could see the whales breaching in the ocean! Just magic!
- Steph (9/5): Superb - Fantastic overnight stop to help break up the long journey to move interstate. Honestly, the place was even nicer than the listing made it look, I think. We got in after dark, in the rain and had no issues with access or facilities. Friendly hosts were very gracious when our dogs got loose and disrupted their own dog and their evening. They were chill and approachable yet kept to themselves and gave us space and privacy to be exhausted in peace. Also, you can see and hear the bush and the ocean from the room. We'd stay again for sure. Highly recommended. Kitchenette is a little awkward (converted cupboard) but this wasn't a big issue for us for one evening. It's a little off the main north south routes but again, we didn't mind given it was inexpensive, pet friendly, private and lovely.
- Pedro (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (9/5): Perfect location for that getaway. Nicely perched on a hillside location with easy access to all amenities. Private wit - Privacy and great access. Nothing I can think of.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - We had the best time at the pool house. It was so cosy and cute. I already miss waking up to the sunrise over the sea. Highly recommend!
- Lisa (10/5): such an amazing place that shows the owners care about a lot! will definitely be our choice to stay when in crescent fro - that view! comfortable bed, kitchen well equipped.
- Adam (10/5): Amazing stay. The kind of stay that makes you want to give them a bad review just so the next time u go it will hopefull - Aesthetics Steam room a bit colder than used to, and pool not heated currently but staff told me the pool heater is being delivered.
- Mia (10/5): The most amazing views. We could see whales from our bed. Loved waking up to the sunrise each morning. - Was so easy to access. Amazing views. Nothing.
- Tory (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony (10/5): Excellent -
- Silz (9/5): Excellent spot to stay for a quiet out of town visit to the region, close to all surfing beaches - The location is perfect, just far away from town but not so far that even a quick trip for milk to the shops. The driveway was a bit tough for a regular car, more suitable for a 4wd and bed was a bit too soft for our liking. However the room was cosy and warm and bed was spacious.
- Janet (8/5): Very good - Secluded , private and very comfortable .
Lovely view and cost Boltonâs hole!
- Cail (9/5): Superb - Really nice accommodation with attention to detail . The view was fantastic and peaceful too . Only a few minutes drive from town .
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mimi (10/5): Exceptional - We were stopping between Brisbane and Sydney and needed an overnight place. It seemed to be pretty good. And it was. We live in the Blue Mountains so have lots of views, and also on the River on the Hawkesbury with our own water front and boat.
- Edward (9/5): Superb -
- Graeme (8/5): Enjoyed the peace and quiet. - Great outlook from the bedroom, very quiet and relaxing area, short drive into Crescent Head.
Anna was friendly and helpful, would stay here again. Kitchen a little small but no major problem.
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (10/5): You can have a million dollar weekend for much, much less. - Having a recently diagnosed car issue unable to be repaired before the weekend at the Pool House, I spent much of the weekend just looking out the beautiful octagon windows at the ocean. I didn't mind that it rained most of Friday and Saturday. Sunday was beautiful. Be aware that the kitchen sink is outdoors with no cover. Luckily there were enough dishes in the kitchen cupboard that I could just let them accumulate until the rain stopped.
- Maurie (9/5): Superb - The location and views were brilliant
- Ruth (10/5): 10/10 would stay again - The pool house was awesome, we booked last minute and only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer. Amazing location with ocean views, I recommend keep the curtains open at night to see the stars and sunrise. Everything was excellent, we did not end up doing any cooking but did make a cup of coffee in the morning. Super clean and felt like being in our own private hotel. Would love to go back and stay in Crescent longer, I am sure we will be guests at the pool house again. No complaints about anything :)
