Guest Reviews
- Anthony (8/5): Magic - Loved the location absolutely wonderful even with restaurant next door felt we had our privacy, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thanks I do feel that the property needs some maintenance, also was woken up at night by a lot of noises on the roof, not sure if Possums, ducks, rats etc etc? Took me a while to get used to them. Main open sliding door needs a stronger bolting mechanism at the bottom. Any can just pull and walk in.
- DARREN (8/5): We had a great time in a great place and hope we will be back again soon. - Loved the location close to everything in town and sitting out on the jetty in the afternoon was great. in the photos it shows the concertina doors open allowing a natural breeze to flow through the boatshed which was not possible with one set of doors and the other set of doors was quite difficult to open which made it quite warm inside the boat shed.
- Nat (6/5): Not worth the money - Central location Not as nice as the photos. Very basic accommodation. Not private, people walking past constantly. Uncomfortable bed and pillows.
- Jessie (9/5): -
- Clare (9/5): Fabulous location on the waterfront in Huskisson, unique accommodation in a renovated boat shed. We loved our stay and w - Waterfront location
- Catherine (8/5): Was comfortable, great location but facility was certainly not worth $400 per night. - The location was amazing The Boatshed itself needs a tidy up maintenance wise. There was no wi-fi access therefore no Netflix. The bed and linen/pillows were certainly not up to standard, pillows felt like rocks once slept on for a while, no doona cover just sheets.

- Wardhaugh (8/5): Great view, great location - Location was amazing. Beautiful view and so close to restaurants and other amenities We liked it. Think the photo of it is a bit overdone. It's a quirky place because it is, we assume, a renovated boatshed -so it's important to understand that you are not in a luxury apartment but you are in a beautiful spot to sit and look at the Bay and it's a wonderful base from which to explore the area. The sea air means that it is challenging to keep it maintained so it has a "rustic" charm.
- Lewry (10/5): A remarkable little slice of paradise - The most relaxing accommodation in the most idealic location. It was like being miles from anywhere and yet walking distance to all that Huskisson has to offer if/when it's wanted.
Absolute water- fronting onto glorious Currambene Creek as it flows into Jervis Bay.
Waking up to the sun shining in across the water was something really special that made this spot the best imaginable.
The quirky mosaic tiled bathroom certainly added to the sense of uniqueness to this place.
The kitchenette offered everything we needed, although we chose to wander further afield for meals apart from breakfast.
The bed was comfy, and the sofa was the best to sloth out on.
Needing some serious R and R, we were not disappointed and will definitely be back. The bed could have been larger. It was more like a double size.
There are a couple of wooden steps down to the bathroom, which are difficult to see at night.
- Chung (6/5): Pleasant - Great location and views - this is our second visit. Poor maintenance - cold winter night and the aircond/heater did not work -
- Zoë (8/5): Very good - Location was amazing, shower was incredible. Very cute 2/3 day get away. Could really do with a deep clean, there was only one drinking glass + wifi didn't work despite requesting 3 times
- Niccole (9/5): Loved it. Will be back - Amazing location. Accomodation was perfect for our large family weekend away with adult children. Mum and Dad has the gorgeous waterfront boatshed and kids had the very roomy house to themselves. Very easy walk to pub, club, shops, cafes. Loved it Only thing was there is just a single bathroom for a house that sleeps 9. Otherwise it was all great
- Ondre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (10/5): Amazing property, killa views, great weather and catching dinner off our own dock, priceless! - Location incredible, everything you could need is a few minutes walk away. Would have loved a washing machine for our clothes being we stayed for 10 days. We also had limited cooking stuffs so had to purchase a large frying pan and pot to use on the BBQ, but being we loved the place so much we left these items for future guests to use. Also had a large group stay in the Boat house on the Saturday night that had a lot of friends over early evening with a lot of children taking over our patio for the Boat shed that we didnt expect, but the parents were pretty cool at keeping them under control overall.
- Kerry (9/5): Excellent - Perfect! Location & view were amazing. Shade umbrella was broken
- Max (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (4/5): Great view, and very comfortable if you've brought a baseball bat to sleep with - The location is great, the property itself has alot of character and it is as it looks in the photos... fine... Unfortunately the experience itself left alot to be desired - the first is that the location is the opposite of private - I'm not sure who the landlord or the property manager is but they left out the fact that it essentially allows for random members of the adjacent businesses (they could be the owners of the property?) to walk right down the side path and through the front area of the Boat Shed without introducing themselves. The second is that the back door inside the property does NOT latch or lock. It is not possible to lock this door at night. The main entrance has a deadbolt that catches with (and I am not lying here) 1-2mm into the latch itself, hardly inspiring confidence - and on top of that the extra sliding bolt at the top of the door has been damaged so it cannot be used properly, with the bottom one not even line up to secure the mechanism - So the security of the location is pathetic if you care about that sort of thing - maybe you don't and the Huskisson locals are just known to be super trustworthy, but for me that isn't the point. I think the landlords here rely on the fact that the enjoyment of the local landmarks, beaches and cafes/restaurants will overshadow the quality of their property, and under normal circumstances this would - but we experienced a fair bit of bad weather while there, so the ancient TV and lack of WiFi really held back entertainment options for us. Come on guys, for $4-500 a night this is really below par as far as standards go for short stay accommodation and i'm genuinely surprised nobody else mentions these things in reviews. I rarely write reviews but the lack of privacy and inability to secure the doors has prompted me to go on this tirade. I have stayed in countless hotels, Airbnbs and regular booking.com properties all across the year but never have I been in a place that made me sleep with one eye open.
- Chris (10/5): Boatshed - Fabulous and enormously convenient location. Rustic vibe. Perfect for a couple. Off-street parking was difficult during busy periods. Carrying luggage from off-street parking to accommodation down a narrow walkway was tiresome.
Adjoining tour boat operation became annoying given the number of tours departing and the volume of customers taking the tours.
All pretty minor inconveniences. I would book again without any reservation. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
- Greg (8/5): Very good - over priced for the basic facilities
- Virginia (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (9/5): Superb -
- Lyn (5/5): Very disappointing, for the high cost of renting one expects more than a very basic accommodation. - Location was great. Bed was comfortable No fly screen in bedroom. A lot of dirty crockery and cutlery in the cupboard. Blunt knives. Some of hotplate burners would not stay alight.garbage bag too small for kitchen bin. Not enough weight in quilts for winter, we all woke up cold. Rubbish in both front and back yards. Outside walkway lights for the boat shed not working. The property was very run down compared to what was advertised. A/ c very noisy. No light over cook top, hard to see what you’re cooking. Erk small tv. Lounge room furniture very uncomfortable.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malissa (10/5): perfect - location, great for fishing, walking distance to everything If I had to pick anything it would be no laundry facilities
- Andrea (8/5): Very good - Amazing location with beautiful views and a lovely deck to sit and take it all in. Quite a few cockroaches around - probably time for some new baits.
- Michelle (4/5): Very disappointed 😌 - The view! The shower Sharing the pier with a party of guys having a great time. Not being able to fish or dock our boat as it was being used by others and listening to them having a wow of a time, great for them but definitely not relaxing. Noise from back house, loud music, swearing and loud voices constantly.
Guys Walking past noisily past our shed to get to the back house at 1am shining lights which we could see through the port holes and not knowing if they could see in if they looked. Privacy compromised like I was living at home with my teenage sons. Even getting out of shower I felt uneasy in case the guys could walk past and see in.
We thought we had a parking spot across driveway but other renters parked huge ute in driveway which prevented us from even walking past without squeezing through.
Have stayed here before. If on our own without sharing the pier and having our privacy, it's the best, but unfortunately cannot stay again as I'm not taking the chance of that happening again and ruining our holiday that we save all year for.
One last thing. Photos do not show accurate description. Place has gotten pretty old now. Doors do not open fully. And hard to unlock and lock.No pretty canopy over bed or ornate decorations I'm sorry to say.
- Guiselle (9/5): Superb - The view and the location was amazing. The lock to the front door is old and broken. Made it hard to lock and unlock the door.
- Danos (7/5): Good -
- Emma (10/5): The best location - We stayed here for our wedding with our whole family! The location was amazing and the staff were so so accommodating! The cleaner was so lovely and friendly! We had the best weekend ever! The only downfall was only having one bathroom in the house for 9 people! Not a deal breaker at all, but just something to consider :)
- Sonia (7/5): Good -
