• Gerard Anthony (9/5): Great Staycation - New, clean and modern accommodation. Unique garden. Friendly host. Easy check-in procedure. Short drives to places of interest and eateries. We stayed for 2 nights, would appreciate a change of towels and top up of amenities, and the hairdryer was a little sticky to hold.

• Richard (10/5): Fantastic Stay at a lovely property - Everything was perfect at River Retreats, from the welcome from Jess to the fantastic room and feeling we got from our stay. Everything in the room was of a high standard, and so peaceful, yet just a few minutes away from the lovely town by car.
• Irene (8/5): Schön und gut für 2 Nächte - Sehr schönes Apartment und groß genug für Reisende. Nette Begrüßung von Jess Etwas kleinlich mit der Einrichtung der Küche und Bad. Je 1 Glas, Teller…… Der Fernseher war so klein oder so weit weg, dass wir doch lieber mit dem iPad tv schauten. Wir mussten nachfragen damit die Handtücher ausgewechselt wurden, oder wir mehr Kaffee oder Duschmittel bekommen. Leider auch kein laundry Service.

A l’écart du centre-ville nous avons pu y découvrir un ciel exceptionnel. Rien, nous reviendrions avec grand plaisir !

Plunge pool is cool and refreshing with outdoor shower. Hosts are friendly, responsive, offer excellent advice and afford maximum privacy to guests.

• Christine (7/5): New accommodation option with budget fit out - It was clean and tidy. Furniture was new, however lower quality. Bed was a double, not a large double. There’s nothing within walking distance from the accommodation. We would have loved to spend some time in the pool but there is no shaded area near or around the pool and no pool chairs/ outdoor furniture to enjoy the area and stay out of the sun. The pool is also a few meters from the owners/caretakers family dining/ living area of their home so it’s a little uncomfortable when using the pool.

• Lindy (9/5): A little oasis in Kalbarri - A beautiful studio room with basic kitchen equipment but a BBQ for private use. The bathroom was extremely spacious with a separate bath and shower! it was exceptionally clean and was decorated beautifully with nick knacks and artwork. The garden area was spacious and had some very funky artwork in it. We didn't get around to using the pool, but it looked sparkling clean. It is out of town so you need a car but I liked the quiet away from the main tourist area. The host was fabulous! We would book again. :)

There was a huge bathroom with walk-in shower plus a large bathtub. The kitchen had everything we needed for our short stay. It was an easy cycle into town and then along the river and to the spectacular ocean beaches. A great place to experience sunrises and sunsets, either at the property, at the nearby lookout or at the gorges. Jess and Jeff are ideal hosts - friendly and responsive at the same time as allowing privacy. Highly recommend. Nothing

Paper thin walls! It was a real disappointment to be in such a peaceful location and not get a restful night's sleep due to our neighbours' restlessness, who weren't "noisy" per se, but you could just hear everything!

The wind and the flies but good screens kept the little devils out and I guess you can’t do anything about the weather - It is WA in Autumn after all!!
