- Gary (10/5): A gem, wonderful farm stay - This is an amazing gem, a must stay, the host is just fabulous. It felt like we were staying at home away from home. The kitchen was stunning, could easily cook up a large meal. Perfect place to unwind Nothing it was perfect! Best property on our long road trip.
- Neil (10/5): Nice place to stay, 30 minutes from Ballarat. - Nice quiet location. The staff left us alone, but were there if needed. That's just how we like it. Beautiful gardens. Large room (we had the king). Phone reception was patchy, but the free WiFi more than made up for it.

Queen room - Clean. Comfortable bed. Hot water temperature and pressure fluctuations. Odd smell at times from the grate in shower. Toaster needs attention.

- Prabath (10/5): Amazing location and people!! - Very calm and peaceful location, central to many places. Daylesford is 20 minutes, Creswick is about 12 minutes, Bendingo is about an hour away. Value for money and animal feeding was a new and joyful experience. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Steve, Allan and Jerry were very friendly and helpful. Help us to plan our trip by giving suggestions which was great!! Definitely recommend to anyone and we will be back again at some point. Thank you very much for everything!! Nothing really.

- Thomas (10/5): -
- Moy Ying (9/5): Great place !!! - Steve was a wonderful host. We booked one cottage and two rooms, all of which were uniquely decorated, very clean, and felt cosy and comfortable.
We had so much fun during the animal feeding time , there were alpacas, sheeps, turkey, and chickens. It was such a lovely experience!
Another plus point was the late checkout at 11am. Since we checked in late at night, it gave us more time to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The only thing to note is that there are no eateries nearby — the closest one is about 10 km away. None
- Amreen (8/5): - The staff and feeding the animals
- Tony (1/5): - I booked a delux room with kitchen , but ended up getting a double bed room, the room full of cob webs, dirty and small Room ful of cob webs, small with no kitchen cooking facilities

- Murphy (9/5): Superb - Nice spot, very nice welcome. When I mentioned I was hungry from the drive, the staff member gave me some croissants which was unexpected and very well received. Much appreciated
- Virginia (8/5): Very good - Quiet, clean & very welcoming. Room got quite hot through the night.
- Basiri (10/5): I enjoyed my stay in the Smeaton’s New Horizon farm and I would recommend it to families with young - I liked the whole farm experience, the nice and quiet atmosphere, friendly hosts and the beautiful view of the horizon, the pond and plenty sitting areas available for visitors. The beds weren’t very comfortable as mattress was too soft for me, but fortunately there was a big comfy blanket and plenty of space to make a bed on the floor.
- Omid (8/5): Very good -
- Tan (10/5): It is such an amazing holiday retreat. Highly recommended for family with children to interact with cute alpacas, goat, - Very clean room, friendly owner and lovely farm animal None
- Cooper (10/5): Amazing core memory for the whole family :) - There was no breakfast provided but we didn’t request any and had a full functioning kitchen with fridge, stove all appliances and dishes necessary to make our own.

- Gareth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (10/5): Beautiful horizons - We had a wonderful stay, beautiful surroundings, lovely hosts and a wonderful spot.
- Percy (7/5): Good - Generally it was ok.
But place not near to photos shown to entice customers.
The personnel were polite and ready to help.
The room was clean and tidy.
The surroundings need better care.
- Angelique (10/5): Excellent stay and worth it. - Accomodating hosts and the place is really beautiful. Nothing. We liked it very much.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (10/5): Lovely mini getaway on a beautiful farm - Everything was wonderful, the only improvements I could suggest is that we had no cloth to wipe surfaces with and there was only shampoo, no conditioner or body wash ❤️
- Noel (9/5): I stayed an extra night. Among the best accommodation that I have stayed in. - The location suited me very well. I liked the separate kitchen and bathroom, and being able to park under cover. I enjoyed all the surrounding greenery and being to buy some vegetables from the farm. It took me a while to operate the gas stove until I found the right switch.
- Judith (6/5): Great setting and lots of potential, but missed the eye for detail mark - The property was a lovely setting with good areas to explore, sit and enjoy the surrounds. Nice and peaceful. Also felt quite secure within the property It was obvious by the amount of dust on plastic plants, cobwebs/spiderwebs and daddy long legs that the room had not been properly and thoroughly dusted or maintained for some time. There are cobwebs on the bricks in the bathroom, on the ceilings and cornices and we counted eight daddy long legs in the two rooms.
The sink in the bathroom was not adequate for washing of dishes.
- Jess (10/5): Great room with a homey feel - The room was super comfortable! It felt homey and there was a lot of space for my things. I appreciated the bottles of water in the fridge, as well as the tea and coffee facilities. Plus the property itself is stunning and I was so tempted to buy some of the fresh produce at the honesty box! If I’m ever needing to stay out this way in future, I won’t hesitate booking again.
- Jeff (8/5): Very good -
- Linden (10/5): Love it - Beautiful Nothing
- Maria (9/5): We loved it for a one night stay! - Loved the farm stay. We had a one night stay in the 3 bedroom home. We wanted to be away from crowds over the long weekend and it worked. The owners were lovely & helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable. The farm is aprox 30 minutes from Daylesford and 10 minutes from
Creswick.
Alan recommended Lake St George at Creswick for a walk around the lake & picnic & we loved it! Whilst a one stay may seem expensive - the overall experience of feeding the animals & the quiet was worth it. Thank you.
- George (8/5): Very good -
- Monger (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stewart (10/5): Delightful city escape - Charming place offering a delightful escape from the city. Easily accessible by car to Daylesford and other nice towns, but with complete privacy and relaxation. It was a lovely stay and would happily return. Can also highly recommend Tuki Restaurant if you’re looking for some farm to table luxury. Can’t easily walk to a main town centre or shops. Part of the charm, but a car is certainly needed
- Randelle (9/5): Superb - Cute location and the tiny house had everything I needed. Steve, Allan and Jerry were great hosts.
It was a treat to spend time with the animals on the property and I even got to feed a baby goat named unicorn.
- Micah (9/5): Indoor star gazing, the view in our window in the tiny house, my husband enjoyed it so much while my baby had fun with t -
- Michael (10/5): We had a lovely time at the farm and would love to go back in future. - We did not want to stay in a town with lots of shops so we booked a farm stay. We enjoyed being out in the countryside, away from city lights and the farm is the perfect place. We enjoyed walking around the farm and exploring the grounds. The hosts were most welcoming and generous in every way. We were very lucky to have the experience of holding, Unicorn, a baby lamb that was only a day old. Sadly, the mother lamb had died at birth We would love to visit the farm again and see the changes and progress that the owners would have done. It is a lovely place to stay. Nothing that I can think of.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved our stay here. The hosts are the nicest people, the room was clean and had everything we needed. We got to feed the animals in the morning and the experience was amazing. We 100% would love to come back. I loved everything
- Simon (9/5): Great place to get away from it all - Clean and isolated and spacious
Animals and market garden
- Adem (1/5): Bad - Not much really to be honest not trying to offend anyone Was abit misleading the rooms have like no walls you can hear everything not really much privacy very small room etc was a shame was expecting something great
- Anne (10/5): Valur for money, amazing and hospitable hosts and beautiful farm stay experience. We will definetely book again. - Excellent property and amazing hosts! Nothing it was perfect for us.
- Paul (10/5): Working in Ballarat. Great easy drive back to relaxing night - Location quiet small farm. Just a relaxing place Nil
- Naoko (9/5): Superb - It was close to Daylesford and the location was great in the quiet and peaceful place. We brought our dog there and we enjoyed walking the yard to see animals, sunset and stars every day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We’d like to go back there for sure! Our room was little too dark and small.
