- Glennis (8/5): - The house was close to the train station and town, which made it easy to get around.

- John (8/5): I couldn't actually fault this property or the hosts at all, - Building, hosts, location, cleanliness we're private people (but not unfriendly) so we took a bit of a punt regarding "shared facilities") the facilities them selves were excellent.
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Shae (Sharon) (10/5): Centrally located, old school charm with modern facilities. Beautiful, relaxing gardens. - The accommodation is central and conveniently close to town and the prospector train. Hosts Allison and Carl are easygoing and friendly. Allora House was quieter and more private than other accommodation I've stayed in while visiting Kalgoorlie previously.
There was only one other (lovely) guest during our stay, so the shared bathroom was easy to coordinate.
The building has old school charm with clean, modern facilities. As an avid gardener, I enjoyed Allora House's beautiful, relaxing gardens - an oasis in the desert!
- Stephen (10/5): - Awesome place to stay, very clean and beautiful garden area. Nothing it was great
- Rachel (9/5): -
- Oswald (10/5): - The host couple goes out of their way to make the stay comfortable I liked everything
- Gregory (10/5): Amazing stay - Stunning property & made to feel like home
Owners are amazing people and welcomed us with open arms.
This will be our first choice of stay from now on
- Samantha (10/5): - La beauté, la propreté et le calme du lieu. Le jardin est superbe, c’est un petit oasis de calme proche de la gare et des commerces. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et ont beaucoup d’informations à partager sur la région. Rien.
- Michael (9/5): -
- Fisher (10/5): -
- Chris (9/5): very enjoyable - Nice hosts, quiet comfy residence, very homely. Great location, close to train station and Kal main strip Nothing
- ankie (10/5): Close to the shops, easy park and ideal for trips to the goldfields - Amazing place , beautiful garden , comfy rooms
- michael (10/5): AN excellent place to stay. Carl and Allison are perfect hosts. - This is a great place to stay.
We walked from the train station to the property and from there it's only a 10 minute walk to the town & tourist information.
Very clean and comfortable.
The house and gardens are wonderful and internally it had everything we needed.
- michael (3/5): Disappointing not accurate description - No breakfast included No service unless you stay 7 days.
Only 1 hook in bedroom to hang towels
3 bedrooms have to share1 bathroom
Have to walk through kitchen to get to bathroom
No late checkout allowed even though our train left 4 hours later.
- Kate (10/5): Excellent home away from home - Beautiful garden with friendly hosts. All the amenities you needed inside as well as being easy walk to shops and restaurants. Nothing
- Alex (1/5): walgelijk, blijf ervan weg! Moet van booking.com af. - goor, vies, zeer onvriendelijk personeel, alleen telefonisch inchecken, slecht bereikbaar.
- Lindsay (10/5): Fantastic four days in Kal , staying at beautiful Allora House - Loved the location and cleanliness of this historic house . Our hosts Alison and Carl were very accomodating and knowledgeable . We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Kal and wish we could have spent more time there.
- Atkinson (8/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): -
- SONYA (10/5): Absolute diamond in the rough, great short stay location surrounded by beautiful peaceful gardens.. - The place was a bit of a surprise; it is located right near the Railway station and pretty much in the centre of town being located quite close to the main shops and restaurants... Absolutely nothing, even the sharing of the bathroom/shower did not seem to be a problem, and we stayed there for 3 nights...
- Shelagh (10/5): A little oasis , immaculately clean with friendly helpful hosts - Location and thoughtfully equipped
- Margaret (6/5): - Good location. Somewhat awkward sharing a bathroom (adjoining the kitchen) with unknown others.
- Anne (9/5): - The entire 2 day experience was most enjoyable and the photos, information shown was exactly as expected.
- Anthony (9/5): -
- Spiridon (10/5): -
- Hansen (10/5): - Everything about the place was likeable. I have already recommended it to others wishing for a great, quality place to stay in Kalgoorlie 😍
- Kragt (7/5): Kalgoorlie short stay, perfect for family or a group of friends. - Great stay at historic Allora House. We were lucky and had the place to ourselves. Clean and cosy. Could add a stove to cook breakfast?
- anne (10/5): - Beautiful room fantastic owners
- Bowei (10/5): Exceptional - Everything pleasant and enjoyable. Host has been really friendly and helpful. Overall a nice experience.
- Shelley (10/5): Comfortable , interesting stay in a gorgeous historic guest house - Lovely historic house and interesting people to chat with during the guest house stay Nothing
- Claire (10/5): A lovely, centrally located place to stay in Kalgoorlie - Allison and Carl have created a lovely home-away-from-home experience at Allora House. The rooms are very comfortable, and there is a well-appointed shared kitchen and living area. The back garden also has great sitting areas where you can either soak up the sun in winter or hide from the heat in summer. There are plenty of tourism brochures provided in the house, and Allison also runs 'Good as Gold Tours' if you're looking for a guided experience.
- Choi (10/5): Great and wonderful place. I recommend here to everyone. - Cosy and comfortable room
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home with a relaxing garden
- Rachel (10/5): Little Gem - Karl and Alison, couldn't have been anymore welcoming, they have a beautiful guest house, with lots of history to it was spotlessly clean and very charming, they have everything you need for a very comfortable stay, the bed was so comfy, the bed linen was beautiful, they really have done a wonderful job to make you feel like home from home, I would highly recomend staying there, very convenient walking distance from the train station, and to the town strip, good value for the price for 2 nights, I would definitely go back and recommend to my family and friends, thanks again for sharing youre beautiful home with us, keep doing what you are doing, its perfect, throughly enjoyed are stay with you in kalgoorlie.
Much love
Rachel and Oliver xx Liked everything and the little beautiful garden was perfect too
- David (10/5): House with history and character. - House with history and character. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Shared areas were spacious and comfortable. Outside seating area to relax. Washing machine was helpful. Short walk to town and multiple food options or supermarkets.
- Rick (9/5): A really comfortable stay. - Cosy, comfortable and quiet stay. Washer, dryer a real bonus Not a deal breaker by any means but an additional toilet not within a shared bathroom would make a really comfortable stay even better.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leanne (10/5): Overall was very pleaseant & great hosts. Our comments are for improvements but still rate it 10! - As we stayed for a weekend it would have been beneficial if margarine or butter was supplied. We were able to buy bread or crumpets for nearby Woolworths and a spread that didn't need refrigeration but to buy butter or margarine for a weekend trip would have required an esky. Perhaps being able to put a sign on the bedroom door so people staying in other rooms would know if you were there or not- to say I'm out or In. As when we returned from being out we didn't know how quiet to be if the other room was occupied or not.
- Margaret (8/5): A better alternative to staying in the pubs or more expensive accommodation. - Private entrance off the street with a small outdoor backyard area. No chair in bedroom due to limited space
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional - Allison was great, she is very knowledgeable about Kalgoorlie and mining. We wished we had more time to take one of her tours.
The accommodation was very comfortable, excellent.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly and informative. Close to everything. Not applicable.
- Anne (6/5): This property looks and should be operating to a higher standard than what we received. It has the potential to be a goo - The age of this old heritage house had been tastily restored . There were 3 rooms rented out at the back of the house, while the managers lived in the front of the house.
Our rented room had a comfortable clean bed with a tv in a small room. We had to share 1 bathroom with the other rented rooms - 5 of us using 1 small toilet/share room off a small kitchenette. There was only 1 small sitting room with a table/4 chairs, 1 lounge for 2 people & TV that had to be shared.
Bathroom, kitchen etc was only cleaned with no towels, tea towels replaced, garbage emptied.
Whilst managers appeared friendly they were not on top of checking our needs.
- West (9/5): Superb -
- Lesley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - Nice room, good location and a very friendly host! The garden is a nice little oasis.
- Lee-anne (8/5): Very good -
- Dianne (8/5): We had a lovey stay at Allora House. Everything was wonderful and we’d definitely stay again if we are back that way. - Allora House is lovely. Very clean and tidy. The amenities are great. The garden is beautiful.
- Shallue (10/5): First time in Kal and couldn't be happier. - Really happy with this accommodation. Deserves the ratings that it has.
- Lei (10/5): Easy to relax and all amenities in walking distance. - Very clean, and Carl and Allison are quality people.
- Mike (9/5): Echoes of the past with all current amenities. - Very helpful host who took the time to outline the attractions of Kalgoorlie and make helpful recommendations. Charming period house in immaculate condition. As the bathroom is shared, it would be helpful to have some form of vacant/engaged sign to hang on the door. Certainly a very minor issue in an otherwise faultless home.
- Alain (10/5): I will be staying here again! - Very clean, lovely Hosts , comfortable accommodation and quiet location walking distance from most restaurants.
- Karlin (10/5): Exceptional - hospitality
- Brian (10/5): It was a perfect stay could not fault anything - The hosts were very nice and accommodating could not have done anymore for us Very clean and tidy and comfortable
- Ching (10/5): Exceptional - Carl and Allison are super nice and friendly people. They made our stay one of our best memories in Kalgoorlie!
Like they said, Allora house is just like a home away from home!
- Kelly (9/5): Great Stay in Kalgoorlie - Lovely stay at Allora House. Excellent location - 5 minute walk into town and to the supermarkets. Allison was great and very welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed having aircon in my room and appreciated the microwave, plates and cutlery. Would definitely stay again.
- Werner (10/5): Perfect - Personel welcome
Historic Building
Allison knows everything in and around Kalgoorlie-Boulder
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): We will be recommending Allora to our family and friends. - Historic, characterful with a lovely garden in a great location. Immaculate with every attention to detail. Friendly and communicative hosts.
- Astrid (10/5): near treinstation and city centre - great location, walking distance from train station and city centre
- Deborah (10/5): Very comfortable stay at Allora house . - Spotlessly clean. Peaceful gardens comfortable accomodations
- Hevins (10/5): fabulous old world accommodation - beautiful rooms, bathroom & kitchen excellent. lovely outdoor area to relax & walking distance to the town centre. thankyou There is nothing wrong with this Venue
- Norelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cathleen (8/5): A great three day rail and walking break from the city by rail. - We loved how close it was to the railway station and the Main Street as we wanted to experience Kalgoorlie and the Prospector without hiring a car. The one toilet being in the one bathroom with 5 guests (and the potential of 6) was not ideal. Having to wait for someone to finish in the shower when you first get up in the morning is not comfortable. The amenities were exceptionally clean and sharing a bathroom is not a problem normally but it needs a separate toilet.
- Timothy (10/5): My wife and I and our two granchildren enjoyed a very relaxing time, highly recommended. - This is a beautiful residence set in the heart of Kalgoorlie, very close to the railway station which was perfect for us. There was everything available that you would expect, fully air conditioned, fully stocked bathroom and kitchen, plenty of tourist information and very friendly, helpful hosts who have obviously gone to a lot of trouble to create a relaxing, comfortable first-class holiday stay. We can't think of anything that would attract any criticism.
- David (8/5): Wonderful, and would not hesitate to recommend or return - Our host is an exceptional lady. She has a keen interest in local history and architecture. And provides a great example of both in her accommodation. Individual batneooms
- Mike (10/5): A beautiful home from home - Everything!
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, comfortable accommodation with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Allison was friendly and welcoming and happy to share tips and ideas for things to do and see in the area, as well as during our roadtrip in WA. Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! We were made to feel so welcomed, and the house is just lovely, exceeded our expectations. So beautifully appointed and comfortable. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Nothing, it really was perfect
- Patricia (10/5): We've travelled a long way in WA over the past 3 weeks. Allora House is by far the best
accommodatio - Allora House is a beautifully restored house. The guest facilities are outstanding. Nothing. The guest facilities are perfect.
- Georgefarah (10/5): Lovely stay at Allora - Beautiful building and rooms. Very well appointed. Lovely managers. TV with streaming services. A nice lounge where you can optionally chat with other guests. N/A
- Deborah (9/5): Allison and Carl made me feel very welcome. Lovely place to stay. Will be back again. - Beautiful and very clean.
Bed so comfy.
Close to everything.
- Horton (10/5): I will not be staying there again - This business is not a bed and breakfast and I feel for the price I paid it should have been a bed and breakfast. I wouldn't stay there again due to no breakfast supplied. I would normally stay at a backpackers when traveling. $250.00 is expensive when no breakfast included No electric blanket and ended up with head cold flu. It was cold in lounge room no heating
- Peter (10/5): A must stay place if you are in Kalgoorlie - An amazing property. Close to the city centre, so well cared for, spotless, and the hosts were a lovely couple Nothing at all
- Ron (9/5): Superb -
- Lindeboom (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location
- Andrew (10/5): Excellent -
- Karl (10/5): Well worth the stay hosts was excellent and the house exceeded expectations - The house was very nicely renovated back to the build period Na
- Celia (9/5): Great hosts. A beautifully decorated accommodation. Comfy bed and good shower. Nice other guests. - Love the Gargoyl! Great Hosts and very convenient to the Train Station. Comfy bed and accommodation beautiful. Thank you for having me stay Alison
- Leanne (9/5): Excellent value for money. Quiet, well located - The space was very homely and there wears attention to detail. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. A set of hot Plates for cooking would have been useful but we managed.
- Jes (10/5): Excellent hosts, lovely place, great value - Beautiful historic Kalgoorlie residence with knowledgeable and extremely welcoming hosts.
