- Wilson (10/5): Nature hit with comfort. - Peaceful, bush stay. You felt that were able to have the outdoor nature experience but in comfortable cabins. I came with a large group to celebrate my birthday and it was perfect. The hosts were lovely and accommodating and all my party were super-impressed. Made my special weekend extra special. Nothing!
- Hugh (8/5): -
- KAREN (2/5): not a good experience and will not be back. - The only good thing about this property was the basket ball & tennis courts, swimming pool for the kids Well the condition of the cabin it is in need of major repairs and maintenance and for what you pay to stay is way too expensive.
- Kate (9/5): Tranquil bush location, lots of fun with the tennis court and farm animals - Beautiful setting with the cottage right in the bush, really peaceful and completely private. Lovely to be at the property with the pigs, chickens and goats - the kids loved feeding the pigs our veggie scraps and getting fresh eggs. My kids also had a swim (despite the cold water) and we played lots of tennis. Easy walk through to the bush to the Fitzroy Falls park tracks. We didn't meet the owners (they were away) but Sharni was very responsive by SMS. The cabins are bit shabby - the furniture and kitchenware is pretty old - but it had rustic charm and the location and other facilities makes up for it. Was great to have the wood-burning stove inside, and it made it very cosy in the evenings, but it was cold getting up in the morning, it would be pretty tough in winter.

- Alexandra (10/5): Twin Falls Bush Cottages - I have stayed at Twin Falls Bush Cottages twice now and the location is amazing. It's a short walk into the national park and the cabins are cosy and quiet.
- Ankeet (10/5): -
- Pea (4/5): - Location was great For the price we paid per night, we expected at least for the host/hostess to hold off their water tank cleaning until after we checked out. We did not get a shower or get to brush our teeth as the water dribbles to nothing at 9am!! on check out day.
Equipments etc needs upgrading!
- fabrice (9/5): - The cottage had a really nice space. Loved the immersion in nature.
5 cottages in total, but separated from each other. 400m from cottage, there is the shared nice swimming pool and bbq/relax area. Nice. Nothing
- Terry (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful place. Loved meeting the farm animals and the pool looked good (excellent pool rating from our daughter), too cold for me to swim lol
- Siobhain (9/5): -
- merrtimiman (9/5): Great peaceful stay. - Location, peace and quiet and COFFEE! The carpets are a bit old and stained.
- Emma (9/5): Quiet and pleasant stay in a beautiful location - Quaint and comfortable, we especially enjoyed the log burner and outdoor facilities
- Jade (8/5): -
- Nick (9/5): Excellent - Cosy cabin with everything you need; gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, instant hot water, comfy warm bed, clean kitchen utensils and furniture. Awesome fireplace to warm up the place and add a relaxing atmosphere and bush views from every window. Couldn’t stay longer.
- Andrew (10/5): great stay, look forward to returning - Meeting the farm animals. Close to wonderful coffee and views at Fitzroy Falls. Central location for many local villages.
- Ashley (8/5): Peaceful retreat - Beautiful peaceful location Lacked a few basic essentials, kitchen scissors, handwash and no cooking essentials
- Andrea (9/5): Tolles Familienwochenende, gerne wieder! - Die Lage ist absolut sensationell und wunderschön - ruhig, friedlich und perfekt zum entspannen!
- Nicole (10/5): Secluded property in a great location. Peaceful. Wildlife with a touch of farm. Grandchildren had a great time - Beautiful secluded location. Friendly property owners that were happy to provide great service. My grandchildren loved the pigs, goats and chickens Nothing everything was great
- Kyryl (10/5): -
- Megan (8/5): Enjoyed our stay in a lovely relaxing and private environment. - Nice outlook, enjoyed the animals and facilities. PowerPoint in the main bedroom didn’t work. Bed not comfortable.
- Jordan-Lee (10/5): Family holiday (switch off) - We loved the location! Very central to everything. The owners Sharni and Brad were soo nice and were very welcoming and accommodating to all our needs. Every cabin had its own fire pit with log chairs to sit around, pretty sure all the cabins are the same, ours had a fire place which we used every night!
Kitchen was fully stocked and also had a coffee plunger we loved this as we love a proper coffee!
Kids enjoyed feeding the pigs our left over veggies and fruits before leaving.
The pool was clean and right next to the undercover area and tennis court equipped with everything needed. My partner didnt like the smell of the cabin, I personally LOVE it! It brings back good memories. The cabins are old but cared for and definitely have been around for a while but it's soo worth the stay tbh!
And the wifi works but not very well. The internet drops out alot and is very slow but is enough to setup Google maps etc for if you decide to go hiking etc..
The signal is not that great phone calls couldn't be made. I didnt mind it I like to switch off but my kids had a hard time beinf bored so bad for them good for me.
- Andre (8/5): Relaxing stay in a wonderful part of the country! -
- Christine Sheppard (7/5): -
- Sue (8/5): It was in a lovely bush setting and was very close for a family function nearby. It was clean. -
- sarah (5/5): - staff were helpful
- Alice (9/5): - A perfect spot for a serene getaway amongst nature. Cosy and comfortable with all basic needs catered for. Easy short walk to nearby falls with stunning canyon views.
- Tina (8/5): Lovely and cosy all the amenities I needed - Pretty backdrop and surrounds
Heater available as well as fire
great block out blinds for sleeping in
good signage and easy to follow directions for checking in and out Was really difficult to get the key out of the door after locking it as the mechanism was too close to the frame and the plug didn't fit the bathtub so I would have wasted a lot of water
- Lauren (10/5): - This is not our first time here, we come.back because we love it.
This time we had an incident where my husband broke a window accidentally, Sharni was fabulous, helped to clean up while we were at the hospital. Replaced the window etc and then refused extra cash. The cabins are basic but very clean and comfortable. The property is gorgeous. Thanks again Sharni (keep am eye on the mail). A few more kitchen products would come in handy.
- John Swahn (10/5): What a wonderful find - Wonder find. We booked this and found that is was much nicer than expected. The owners were helpful and easy to talk to. They even help us out with a bottle of wine. There was a fireplace and wood to burn. The cabin was larger than I expected with a full kitchen and walking distant to the waterfall . It seems like they have a farm there and raise there own food. We did meet a huge wombat there, the owners pointed out that we should be careful at night because the walk out into traffic. If we go back we will book for a longer visit.
- SHARRON (7/5): - Private retreat never saw the owners bit dated
- William (9/5): - Simple cottage in lovely wooded surroundings. The accommodation is comfortable with a wood burning stove. It is basic but all you need. Great fun for a group getaway. A great place to explore the local area from.
- Rachel (10/5): A peaceful stay in the bush was just what we needed! The family had a wonderful stay, what a special place! Kids loved t - The location was excellent, such a unique spot backing right onto the national park. Farm animals on the property was special for the children. They could collect fresh eggs and pick own veg and herbs from the veggie patch. Great facilities for the family, lots to do! And the cabin was so practical and cosy. Loved the outdoor fire to cook food and throw spuds in the fire to cook!! Loved the property!
- Beth (7/5): - The location was peaceful and quiet. There was no plug in the handbasin in the bathroom so my husband couldn't shave properly.
- Mel (9/5): Amazing little getaway - Amazing little cottage nice and clean and comfortable great spot close to a lot of places Shower head
- Kirsten (9/5): - The location
- Graeme (9/5): Beautiful bush setting, comfortable quiet cottage and friendly host -

- Helen (8/5): Loved our cosy cabin with wood heater in a natural bush setting. - We booked 3 cabins for a family catch-up and we had a very enjoyable weekend. We would happily stay again as we loved the bushland setting, being close to the falls and Kangaroo Valley.
- Richard (8/5): Good and relaxing place for any type of guests. - Secluded cottage in the bush with a fireplace and kitchen. Walking distance to the Falls. Having a bricks and plate BBQ outside. Comfortable for two people. Good playground for kids. A couple of lovely pigs to feed leftovers (allowed) and friendly chicken. A magic Fitzroy Falls walks. Telstra 4G cuts out in the cottage and reconnects 10-15 meters away towards the road. It displays SOS on the phone; therefore, any attempt to call from inside the cottage fails. Local Wi-Fi with a good connection, dropping sometimes. Good for WhatsApp or Facetime. Sends SMS's. I have been told that I am the only one noticing above.
- ROMAN (10/5): -
- Paige (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abi (8/5): Perfect place to reconnect with nature and friends - Loved the campfire and the location The oven was temperamental
- Ken (9/5): Nestled in the bush - The location was great, short walk to Twin Falls walking tracks. Loved the bush surrounds. We enjoyed interaction with the 🐖 & 🐑 (don't worry not close to cottages). We enjoyed a bit of tennis. The cottage was clean and welcoming. Good value for price. The bird life was great, especially the lyre birds. The old girl is a little tired. Needs a few extra kitchen items; crokery, salad bowls, and instruction for microwave. Lounge not comfortable but we brought arm chair out of bed room. Despite these small things we had a lovely stay.
- Anette (5/5): Although the surroundings were picturesque, the interior of Bush Cottage 4 was disappointing. - The accommodation is in close proximity to Fitzroy Falls. The carpets and furnishings, such as the kitchen chair cushions and bed lamps were very dirty.
The open fire barbeque was not usable, as it was completely rusted.
The ignition of the gas barbeque in the communal area did not work. The gas barbeque needed a good clean.
The entrance sliding door could not be locked. Luckily, it's a very safe area.
- Susan (7/5): lovely cabin for a weekend away, simple facilities and accomodation at a very reasonable price. - Lovely location. Simple accommodation nestled in the midst of nature! Easy walk to lookouts and waterfalls, a very peaceful and relaxing getaway! poor to no mobile reception but this is due to the area not a reflection of the property
- Hui (9/5): Perfect base to soak up Fitzroy Falls and unplug - Perfect location to explore Fitzroy Falls and Twin Falls lookout. Beautiful little trails that got you to the lookout in less than 10 minutes. Short drive to Kangaroo Valley. Opportunity to unplug without any phone reception! Sharny and Brad are wonderful and friendly hosts. Lots to do on site for the whole family with the pool, tennis courts and animals to feed. We loved meeting the pigs, goats and chickens. Kids didn’t want to leave.
- Riley (10/5): Fantastic place for a family wanting a cosy bush getaway - Owner was great and the cabin was cosy.
- Yevenes-hill (8/5): Very good -
- Karin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (9/5): Superb - The location was fantastic. A short walk to Twin Falls The bedrooms got cold due to the fact that heaters were located in the family room.
- Zita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philip (7/5): A nice cottage in a good location. - A nice cottage in a lovely quiet bush setting. Easy to find. Easy walk through bushland to twin Falls. Great to have both an internal and external fireplace. Needed a few more heating options. Mismatch of kitchen utensils and the like. Dish rack needs a good scrub.
- Melanie (9/5): Superb - The cottage was absolutely beautiful, exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place to switch off from the world and relax! very homily, comfortable and relaxing! we will definitely be back again 🙂
- O (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place great wildlife and owners are Amazing people to get along with
- Tristan (8/5): Very good -
- William (10/5): Perfect. - The location was serene and peaceful. Nothing.
- Hunt (7/5): Good -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vines (9/5): With thanks. We had a very comfortable stay. - Air conditioner, and great views at the landing area.
- Nadja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Drurbach (8/5): Peaceful bush escape - We liked the peaceful location away from main roads, with a bushy, green outlook, and that we could walk through a bush track to the falls. It was nice to have a small deck to sit on, and large windows to look out into the bush. It was ideal for what we needed - a few days of peace and quiet without internet distractions. We didn't receive information about check-in early enough, so it came through while we were in the accommodation area where there is no phone reception. So we were not able to contact the hosts, who were not on site at the time. So we left the site and found a place with reception and were then able to get the information we needed to check in. There were some supplies missing (e.g. sugar), but when I contact the hosts they were responsive and brought some for us. But the lack of reception on site makes contacting the hosts difficult if they are not on site themselves.
- Emily (10/5): Highly recommend! - Absolutely stunning location with views of the bush from all windows. We loved being able to take a short walk from our cabin to the twin falls lookout. We also enjoyed saying hi to the goats and feeding our food scraps to the pigs! NIL
- Carolyn (4/5): Grim - Good location for Fitzroy Falls Run down, tatty. Needs updating. Very limited kitchen equipment. The oven was new but no baking trays or ovenproof dishes to cook with. Kitchen cupboards were dirty. Chairs in the lounge area were saggy as the elastic had perished. No Wi-Fi and very poor mobile reception. Poor communication from the host. We booked for 2 days but left after one night as it was so grim.
- Kristianne (4/5): Disappointing - Great bush location, quiet and close to waterfall walks, tennis court and animals added bonus. Cottage run down, very tired and in need of repair. Oven filthy and rusty, range hood not working, crockery limited, fridge and shelving rusty, carpet badly stained, rooms dusty, bedding stained and poor room layout. Need 4wd to avoid tree roots on road access to cottage...badly in need of update for price rate
- Olsen (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (7/5): Good -
- Bernard (9/5): We had a great 3 night stay in the Bush Cottage. Love showing the kids a bit of nature and relaxing in a private, quiet - Love being in a private bush setting.
- Derek (10/5): Best accommodations in the area. - Quiet and isolated. Feels like you have your own piece of bushland. Hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Location is amazing for Fitzroy Falls and other trail access.
- Cathy (8/5): Great stay, would come again. - Private cabins set well apart from others. Lovely area with walking trails right off the cabin. Quiet at night. Kids loved the goats, tennis court and riding bikes around the property. We enjoyed the twin falls walking trails. Only tiny niggle was having to make up/put sheets on beds for my kids as soon as we arrived on holiday. I was expecting that the beds should be made up if we have booked for that number of people. A colander would be a useful addition to the kitchen.
- Naomi (10/5): Family holiday fun - The cottages are very homely with everything needed for a family of 6. It's a little slice of paradise and our kids enjoyed seeing the pigs, goats and chickens. Lots of bike and walking tracks and the pool and tennis court were a fun area during the day. This is our second stay here and we will definetley be back again. The cottages are abit dated but I think it just adds to the overall charm of the place and everything is still functional and perfect for a family friendly holiday.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Gunce (9/5): Superb -
- Ashley (9/5): Awesome get away - Absolute seclusion and privacy, free roam of the property and beautiful farm animals ! Beautiful pool and stunning cottages. We weren't aware food shopping was 20 minutes one way away, also that there was no aircon during the hot days.
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional - Bush atmosphere and surroundings. Quiet. Just a small thing - a hairdryer in the bathroom would be nice.
- Kristine (5/5): Enjoyable but not value for money. - Location and views beautiful. Cottage was very tired. Beds comfortable but fireplace did not look safe to use. Kitchen and decor circa 1970's. Could not access TV. Carpet clean but needs replacing. Thought it was expensive for quality of accommodation. I would rate this between 2.5- 3 stars. Lots of good things but just needs some tidying up.
- Michelle (8/5): Fantastic low key holiday in nature. - Beautiful location. Incredible facilities such as tennis court and trampoline, and animals that the kids were able to feed. Very private, peaceful and relaxing. The furniture in the cottage was great, very comfy seating options. The kitchen was not as stocked as advertised, there was no coffee machine either. We arrived in the rain and there wasn’t enough dry wood for us to successfully start the fire so we had to pick the kids in the car again and try and source some dry wood from a store.
- Tony (8/5): Very good - beautiful surroundings edging onto the national park, heaps of birds and trees. we have stayed before and came back as it is such a great spot. the property is showing signs of decay, the gutters need cleaning and it needs some minor repairs. the kitchen isnt well equiped and it isnt close to facilities so you will be doing youre own cooking. Oil, salt and pepper would be good.
- Bagley (9/5): Peaceful - The position, facilities Nothing I didn’t like
- Helen (8/5): Little bit of the bush - Loved the location, privacy. And size of the cabin. Is a bit older but It was comfortable. Clean. Close to the waterfalls. Cooking was good with a proper stove, oven. Bed comfortable, slept well. Hubby at his happy place under the fall at Nellies Glen.
I would stay there again. Just needs few tweeks. The fridge a little small and no real freezer, we couldn't freeze anything . In the heat in summer could see an issue with it. Fan to the bathroom switch damaged so couldn't use it. Had an issue not receiving a message to say if and which cabin. Another tenent. Told us they received a sms. Unfortunately we didn't receive one. So a bit panicked. No way of contacting owner as they're out. And no WIFI or phone. (no WIFI was not a problem for us, as long as hubby had a TV lol) Freaking out Finally as we drove a bit and got msg through and msg back after a panicing hour. Apart from the contact and contacting issue. I honestly did love the place.
- Michdutoit (6/5): Basic accommodation but good value for money - Lovely quiet accommodation surrounded by trees filled with cockatoos, galahs and rosellas. Nice walking tracks around the property, including a walk to Twin Falls - from where you can extend your walk to the West Rim track, or backtrack to view Fitzroy Falls from various lookout points. The beds were comfy & it's great value for money in comparison to other accommodation in the Southern Highlands. The cottage is basic & could benefit from a thorough clean/upgrade/maintenance. There is very limited cellphone reception in the area, which is actually a plus (switching off from tech is great). However, it means you can't load Google Maps or do an internet search to research day trips/child friendly waterfalls/nearby towns or the Fitzroy Falls walking trails etc. We didn't realise we'd be cut off from tech for the duration of our 4 day stay (had to travel into nearby towns for reliable internet). So it was frustrating not to be prepared for this (esp when you have very young kids & need to know the grade for walking tracks before you drive to them etc.). Do your research in advance and download an offline version of Google Maps to help you plan your day visits in the area. The info pack in the cottage is very basic - no maps of the area were included - so we got printouts from the nearby Fitzroy Falls visitors centre & added them into Cottage #1's info pack! If you have young kids, drive to the Fitzroy Falls reservoir to enjoy their lovely playground - since the "playground" at the cottages has only a large homemade seesaw, a small basket swing & a broken bucket swing.
- Grace (8/5): Good fireplace, great location - basic accommodation. - Great location to explore the area, cabin's in need of updates and maintenance but we were assured that this is being done over time. We enjoyed our time here and the indoor wood fire was much appreciated by "cold frog" Qldr's - it was quite fresh overnight during our stay. All in all we'd be happy to visit again in the future especially to see how this lovely bit of paradise "grows" & improves. Thank you for having us :)
- Lauren (8/5): We are going back with the kids - The peacefulness, place was very clean, owners were lovely. Bed was comfy. Loved the access to the falls and bushwalks. We booked again to bring the kids back. Kitchen was not very well stocked, there was no oil or salt and pepper etc.
The furnishings are old.
- Trudy (7/5): Good location but time for a upgrade on cabin and equipment inside - It was relaxing with lovely nature around. Great location. They said there would be a hairdryer but there wasn’t. You could see mould on the ceiling. A chipped and cracked cup.
- Morag (6/5): Pleasant - Good location if you like being away from it all with good walks to Fitzroy falls No Wi-Fi available at property. The property is in need of updating/ repair, carpets need replacing or at least a very good clean, broken appliances need made safe/ usable
- Akshat (8/5): Very good -
- Tanya (8/5): We had a fabulous time overall and will certainly be back. - Outstanding location, great little cabin, cosy with all we needed. We also enjoyed the tennis court and trampoline, and the fire pit and wood provided were an absolute bonus. The owners were responsive and helpful with our requests. The owners should make it clear there is no mobile phone reception/data reception in the cabin (Cabin 3) and in fact there is no Telstra reception at all on the property. With this in mind, they certainly shouldn't be relying on SMS for communication with guests once they arrive...
I also think disclosure of unsealed roads in advance would be useful.
The upper bunk beds could not be accessed easily/safely by my children without an adult present (we have bunk beds at home...the ladders provided were useless).
- Elise (10/5): Worth the price for a very relaxing and quiet mini get away. - I liked the privacy from all the other cottages, the quietness, the relaxation of the open fire outside, the fire inside, the space for my eldest son to run around with the ball. We didn't stay long enough to take advantage of the cottage and to be able to use the pool and see the animals on the property.
We were unaware there was no phone reception and we reply on phone reception for my youngest son, as he has a disability and we rely on phone service incase we need an ambulance for him.
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (10/5): Beautiful 4 nights stay sitting in a beautiful bush setting around our personal fire pit. When too cold enjoying the ind - That you felt like you were alone in the bush.
Property was gorgeous and easy to explore. The closeness to the fall.
- Sharada (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (8/5): Very good - Good location, very close to Twin falls, cottage is secluded with a very nice living room area. Window in the main bedroom wasn't closing properly and it was very cold. Some things need updating.
- Ayse (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lente (9/5): Superb -
