• Warren (10/5): Beautiful location, appointments and hosts - Welcoming and stylish in a beautiful region. We enjoyed 2 nights with Carolyn and Denis, the second of which we dined out on Denis’s superb cooking and storytelling.

• PETER (7/5): A comfortable, quiet and intimate place, with unique experience of a good French dinner. - Lovely house and new accommodation units in large grounds. Best feature is option of having a very good French dinner cooked for you in the house. The food was a bit heavy on sauces (maybe authentically French, but nevertheless). The room wasn't spotless, having some spiders around the ceiling. It was also a bit of a rush to check-out as we lost track of time and the cleaners had arrived. Overall a bit disappointing for the high price.

• MARISSA (10/5): An Exceptional Hidden Gem – Highly Recommend! - We stayed at Beechworth House on our road trip from Queensland down to Victoria, and it was the perfect peaceful stopover. The grounds are beautifully maintained, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere right from the moment you arrive. The suite was luxurious, with an incredibly comfortable bed, spotless (immaculate) cleanliness, and every amenity you could need in the room to make the stay feel truly welcoming and thoughtful. One of the highlights was the lovely walks you can take straight from the accommodation, and it's just a 5-minute drive into the charming town of Beechworth. The owners were welcoming and made us feel right at home. This place is easily in our top 3 accommodations, and we will definitely be returning to Beechworth House for a longer stay next time. An exceptional find – highly recommend! There was nothing to dislike.

• Kaye (10/5): Idyllic escape! - Beechworth House is stunning in all aspects! From the moment you enter the property to seeing the Homestead! On to our accommodation, which was pristine, all that you needed plus more and outlook just glorious! Treat yourself to a gourmet dinner cooked on site by chef Denis! His omelette breakfast is also amazing! This is a stay which will be memorable for all the right reasons. Thanks to Alan, Denis and Caroline. Kaye We found nothing to not like.

Although the listing included “kitchen”, we were a little disappointed to discover that it was actually only a mini fridge and coffee maker.

• Claudine (10/5): Beautiful and luxurious stay close to Beechworth and Rutherglen wineries. - Beechworth House is a beautiful property in a gorgeous location. The ambience is charming, relaxing and refined with rooms that are well appointed and so comfortable. It is a five star experience where our hosts, Denis and Carolyn were incredibly welcoming. Highly recommend staying in for dinner - Denis is an amazing chef and has an extensive cellar. For breakfast you can’t go past the omelette! We were travelling with a dog and he was welcomed as a member of our family. Leaving but we’ll definitely be back.

I just wish we had more time to spend on the property, but we were on a busy road trip, arriving late and leaving early. I would love to come back. The bathroom is not private. It is only okay for a couple. We also didn't love all the Tour de France decor. But these are tiny things. The rest was great.

The comfort, the extra touches like the heating being on before arrival, the bathroom was exceptional. But above all the dinner in particular and breakfast were a highlight cooked by Denis. A must to book dinner. Really difficult to fault.

The hosts, Denise and Caroline, were incredibly welcoming and accommodating—offering secure space for our bicycles and even a spot to clean them if needed. Dinner and breakfast were a real highlight, like a private chef experience—delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Highly recommended for a relaxing and personalized getaway. Proper Parking for bicycles would be great since we come here to ride and it is a cycle focused town

King bed with quality bed linen, dining table and sofa. The bathroom was luxurious and the free standing bath is a bonus. Our hosts Denis and Carolyn were so welcoming, informative and happy to have a chat. We hope to make it back again another time.

We loved that you could arrange to have a wonderful gourmet dinner in the main house, with a selection of local wines to choose from. Breakfast was also available by request. The rooms are spacious, with modern updated bathrooms, and open onto to the lovely gardens. Nothing!

The grounds are beautiful and we were lucky enough to have warm weather so we could enjoy the pool. Our room was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The host Denis was amazing, offered lots of advice on places to visit and even gave us freshly baked lemon tarts, that were delicious. Highly recommend Beechworth House!!!

• Dan (10/5): A beautiful property, food, wine and hosts…something rare, and special - We loved everything and wished we had booked longer than just one night stay between Melbourne and Sydney. We were travelling with our miniature dachshund and the property was perfect. On arrival we enjoyed the immaculate, magnesium filtered pool, no smelly chlorine, awesome! Dennis cooked the most delicious evening meal, which we enjoyed in the gorgeous courtyard. Along with incredible wine. The cellar there is extensive, as is Dennis’ knowledge. The room was sumptuously furnished, no corners cut. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was perfect.

• Jude (10/5): Rekaxing, boutique, gorgeous stay. - Eveeything, the space ia veey unique and the host are lovely. It seriouly was so beautiful. We had a nice relaxing bath that fit not onky my wife and I but also our 18 month old son. They supplied the epsom salts for the bath and the bottle of champane delivered to our room was delicious. There was nothing we didn’t like. We could smell the beautiful food Denis was preparing and unfortunately didn't get to try this as we had other commitments, however next time this will be a must.

We didn't use the free standing bath but what a treat to have that option. The shower was super large with great water pressure. And the lounge furniture was top notch. Class all the way. Our hosts were super helpful and very charming. Beautiful surroundings.
