Guest Reviews
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): Nice and spacious room, optimal relaxation! - Location was very nice; just a short walk from the city centre, and a nice fun fair right in front of the door.
- Jay (9/5): Superb -
- Dominic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Orsingher (9/5): Superb - The room was nice and clean with lots of space, in the common area there were free tea, coffee and water available for guests. The location is location is great, 5/10 minutes from downtown in a quiet area. The shower is separate from the room, you have a second key so only you can access it, so it wasn’t a problem at all.
- Smitha (8/5): Very good - Walkable distance to the city center, it was perfect for one night stay. It would be helpful to provide a bath mat, as the floor tends to get wet and slippery. Installing a sliding door to separate en-suite bathroom/toilet would also be beneficial. No door or exhaust fan is not ideal for en-suite bathroom. Can't complain for the price though. It's an affordable place to stay close to the city
- Arthur (10/5): Cosy stay in a flat, just next to the historic centre of Bruges. - Everything was clean and even bigger than expected Not much
- Jack (10/5): Just an all round great experience :) - It was a lovely stay, easy to find & good location Comfy bed, TV
- Hamza (10/5): Exceptional - Placement is one of its best features as well as the cost. Comfortable and clean I recommend
- Henning (4/5): Check in was terrible - Location Check in was bad.
- Timothy (10/5): Great place - good price, good location, very easy. -
- Elisabetta (7/5): Fine for short stays with little luggage - The room is fine, so is the bathroom but there is no separation door between the two (at least in Room 3). It would do with just a little more unintrusive furniture, like a couple of shelves and a towel rack, not much because there's no space for more, but at least something that avoids leaving stuff on the floor.
- İlhkay (9/5): Superb - Price, Location, Free parking close to, cleanliness. Room is cosy. However shower cabin could be a little big and a cooffe machibe would be appreciated. Need to know before booking steep stairs and highly steep stairs at the back of the room door.
- Kelly (4/5): Disappointing - Location is fine just 10 minutes walking to the centre No wifi, just 1 toilet paper for 3 nights, the pillows are unacceptable, no cleaning
- Victor (7/5): Good -
- Casey (10/5): Amazing, hosts were divine, spacious clean rooms. - Very clean, very spacious, bathroom is really lovely with a good view and a nice ledge to be able to appreciate it.
Was given a toblerone each night we stayed as well as fresh water. Second night was upgraded to attic room with the most amazing view ever plus skylights and a huge room and flatscreen tv you can connect Netflix too! Might be nice to have a waiting area if early on arrival as quite far from main town centre.
- Alex (1/5): Appalling. - The location on the map in relation to the city center. Very cold!
The bed linens were not clean.
Poor cleanliness.
It is not possible to rent under such conditions and at such a high price! Honestly, I deeply regret staying at your place. My wife is pregnant and was very tired; otherwise, we would have left for another place. I don’t think the room has more than 17 degrees; this is unacceptable! Even with the radiator at maximum, it’s still cold! It’s warmer in the hallway—how is that even possible? I will file all possible complaints!
- Martin (9/5): Good balance between price and quality. - Clean, good location, nice view from the large windows, private bathroom in apartment, good wifi, TV, and we were welcomed with chocolate and water. Wet spot on the carpet at the arrival, small amount of toilet paper but fortunately it was enough, no glasses for water, thin walls/doors so we heard noisy neighbours in the night, during the last night the radiator stopped working so it was little cold. Also there was just small garbage bin by the toilet, not in the room.
- Nadir (8/5): Very good -
- Ali (4/5): It was a Little bit disappointing to stay there - The location is perfect. Also i like that staff answer immidiately the questions. 1) I suppose to use the parking that it was written and proposed by hotel service but the hotel doesnt have separate parking. The staff told to use the parking around for free. But it is not for free
2) The room is supposed to have the shower IN the room. But the shower was OUT of the room. To take shower you need to go naked from the shower to room throw entrance. İt would be nice to know it before (but thank you that the staff tracter on demand and change the room last minute)
3) İt would be nice to have the door between toilet and bedroom (it was not there). Also it would be nice to have more than one towels (just one for 1 person)
4) the bed and pillows would be better quality
- Clara (7/5): Good -
- Tuna (5/5): Passable - Bed
- Alexander (1/5): Unpleasant and disgraceful place - Nothing cause we didn't stay in this horrible place. Just let anyone knows before book this apartment that is nothing what they say and show on the reviews cause it's a joke,On the booking.com website shows that you have a private bathroom which is not and to have a shower you have to go out of your bedroom and walk in the corridor next to others.secondly tea or coffee making is not in your room but is again outside next to main outside door and everyone can use it, another problem was the lights not work properly coming on and off all the time, very uncleaned and tired place regarding Paint and furniture and to be on the safe side,I have booked the deluxe king size room, but unfortunately the owner doesn't know what is a deluxe is only fanatic words.I m also need to say that booking.com are not helpful and did nothing about my complaint and they are all about money not the service for the clients which I have been a very good client for this last 15 years but not anymore.
- Jozsef (10/5): Perfect to short visit. - Close to the centre.Free car park.
- Daryl (6/5): Pleasant - The room and private bathroom were clean. It was fine for a short stay. Close enough to everything. The communication from the host wasn’t great and I had to message them a few times to get answers on what was needed for check in. Also the TV is pretty pointless as it has one channel.
- Zoe (8/5): Very good - Clean. Free coffee. Tv. Comfy. Toblerone Did not get the room we booked. Looks totally different to the photos
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Alejandra (7/5): It is comfortable and close to the city center. - The location is very close to the center and the bed was big enough The bathroom didn't have a door, and we didn't know that we had to pay an additional 16 euros.
- Robin (3/5): not worth it - location Failed to meet expectations. I stayed in room 2, approximately 15m2, which is in the back on the street entrance level, with windows that are more than 2m high so they you can't see outside. the walls were bar, and stained , and there was mold on wall in shower room, which had no window and no ventilation. There was no sound isolation through walls or doors and the room was cold; even with the heat fully on the blankets were not warm enough. The rooms were advertised to be 32m2; At 130€/ night , i was incredibly disappointed.
- Eriola (1/5): I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, the property was dirty and staff was rude. - The property was dirty.
- Georgios (8/5): very nice and cozy - everything very cozy, wide and clean. The location was very good, only ten minutes walking to the center and the views to the avenue were very nice as well. For one person is very confortable but with two, is not so much because there is no door in the toilet and there is no privacy at all. The other inconvenient is that it appears in the filter that it has free parking like if it’s included and it’s basically parkings in the surroundings independent of the building.
- Osman (8/5): Very good -
- Bishara (5/5): Passable -
- Graham (10/5): Lovely stay, spacious and very affordable - Location was great, close to town. Super spacious, clean and modern! Great price. Would stay again for sure. The chocolate was a really sweet touch too :) The only thing if i had to say anything was that it would have been great to have a blow dryer but nothing to really complain about.
- Michael (6/5): Ok - Good location. Clean. Beside noisy main road. No breakfast. Parking a challenge - the road recommended had temporary restrictions
- Harshveer (1/5): Bad host, scam pictures. Host tried to scam for extra money - Nothing Bad host, scam pictures. Host tried to scam for extra money
- Raluca (1/5): Bad -
- Liubov (3/5): would not recommend - Good location - very close to the historical center but outside of crowds and noise; tea/coffee/water available at the entrance, fridge available for guests; smart tv in the room; good heating inside the room no windows except for tiny one almost by the ceiling; this window did not close ; stale air, the smell of old sewer pipes in the corridor; 'own' bathroom located outside of the room in the unheated and smelly passage , so I chose not to take a shower at all; no mobile internet connection in the room (but the host provided wifi password upon request); room not clean (spider web on the ceiling, sticky spot on the floor); bad sound insulation; 'free' parking was actually no help as it was really small fully occupied throughout the whole stay, and I had to use paid parking after all
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Pat (2/5): Not recommended. - Comfortable bed. Well decorated. Larger than expected Communication was not timely. We found ourselves waiting outside at 4 pm along with 3 other guests. and only found out that we had to call to get the entrance code to get our room key. There was no TP in our room or in the lobby where they indicated it would be I texted the manager to ask if he could ensure it would be there when we returned he directed us to another room. There was no TP anywhere. Unsafe security- if there were a fire you would have to find your key and unlock the door before escaping We left for breakfast at 9:30 and told the housekeeper we had no TP… no apologies. She told us we had to be out at 10 am. The manager texted 4x telling us we had to return by 10. I told him we would be aback after breakfast. We returned at 10:09
- Cíntia (9/5): Superb -
- Crysthine (10/5): AMAZING… amazing room, amazing location, amazing customer service . - I would live here haha.
Very nice room, clean and cozy. Close to everything, amazing customer service.
I am in love with that place. I wish the bathroom had a door.
- Roman (9/5): Superb - The room was very neat and nice. I got the highest floor (a good and bad thing at the same time), so if you have a lot or heavy bags might be an inconvenience. But I liked it. Its spacious and you have a lot of channels on the TV .
Downstairs you have a self service "get it yourself " kinda thing going. You can go pick your towels, get some coffee and sweets, get some extra stuff for your bed. Etc.
As a hotel worker myself... i kinda loved that!! Haha. Some clients can be bothersome with the amount of things they ask at reception. So having a "do it yourself" service was neat. Tho its weird having no reception or workers there. The "self checkin" as cool and simple it is it has some problems mostly... they have to send you a code to get your key. But I didnt received it until i send them a direct message. It was very weird coming to a place without being able to access it or your room. Felt like a ghost place. But other than that i had no problem.
I highly recommend this place.
- N.sept3mber (9/5): Superb - Clean room close to the city center, not noisy because it's separated from neighbours. Thank you for the chocolate! No doors to bathroom - a bit surprising thing not in a good way for me.
- Kevin (5/5): Passable - Location was good and the room was clean The bed was uncomfortable (severely sagging mattress). Having to find 4 Euros cash for city tax is inconvenient (add it to the room rate like everyone else)! The main entrance door must be locked with a key from the inside after entry. Twice, I returned to find that other guests had left the door unlocked, presumably as they expected it to lock automatically. An obvious security issue for both guests and their belongings.
- Xela (8/5): Very good -
- Rositsa (10/5): Nice and comfortable apartment - We were in ap1. The place is large and light. It has everything you could possibly need including a chrome cast, which was a nice surprise. It's a 10 minute walk from the heart of the city. The parking is free on the street about 100-200m from the house. It's very warm and welcoming. I'd definitely stay in the house again. Honestly I'm surprised how nice it is for the rent price. There's no door to the bathroom/bedroom area which is a bit uncomfortable when you travel with multiple people. But it's not a big stress to work around the issue.
- Hikmet (1/5): Bad - No nice , toilet in room but no toilet door , and till morning every 15 mind otomatic flush and noisy I can’t sleep , , terrible , I can’t comfortably Room
- Gustavo (6/5): Ok price and location. Good for one night only. - Ok location and it was also nice that there were amenities like water and coffee. Very few information upon reservation. We only received the check-in information by the check-in time. We contacted the host to see if it'd be possible for us to check-in early and the host was completely strict about check-in time (it was the only place we stayed in during our trip where this happened). Once we finally checked-in there were no towels (had to send another message about that). The room faced a busy street, traffic wise, and it could get a bit noisy. Check-out time was also too early (at 10 a.m.)
- Luka (8/5): Very good -
- Fourie (7/5): Nice location and modern finishes, however the bed was uncomfortable and cleaners kept referring to the check out time b - Nice location, modern finishes and good value for money. The bed was uncomfortable and cleaners kept referring to the check out time being 10 am while it was still 9am so it felt like they are rushing one out.
- Juliana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maksym (5/5): Passable -
- Arlind (7/5): Good -
- Ashleigh (8/5): Very good -
- Geguchadze (9/5): Nice place for its price - It was close to train station, bus stop is literally in front of the door, in the hallway there was free coffee and tea machine, room was clean with water and cups, clean bathroom and bedsheets. Stairs were tight and it was hard to take luggages on our floor, there was no elevator, bathroom was connected to room and it had no door or curtain so there was no privacy, room doesn’t have a kitchen , it is on the first floor , one for everyone
- Babar (1/5): Bad - Location was good Everything was bad except the location
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Very easy access with a code. Clean and uncomplicated.
- Chris (8/5): Easy -
- Peter (5/5): Quality improveable - location good - Easy check-in with key box on the outside.
Rooms and bath were clean.
Well located, only short walk in the city Center. The mattress was completely saggy and urgently needs to be replaced.
The room was very cold and there was a moldy smell.
The wifi was only available on request and not usable in the second floor.
No trash bin in the room. A sink in the room was positioned that far in the back of a console that it was hardly possible to utilize.
- Sawchuk (8/5): Very good - Good location for visiting the old city, though hard to get to if you are in a car. you have to park elsewhere and walk there. only an issue when checking in/ out.
I didn't see any 'staff' but got helpful directions for entering the building. I would stay again I had two flights of stairs to contend with. Not an issue for me, but maybe for others.
- Mickey (10/5): Amazing! Perfect place for a short stay in Brugge. - The location was perfect. City center was easily accessible with just an 5 min walk. The rooms were quite noisy. I could could clearly hear the door of the room next to me shut or open.
- Alex (8/5): Good cost benefit - Near to center city and easy access to good restaurants and attractions To much steps to access the room
- Kuroush (1/5): Host needs to chill out a bit - Diligent host good at responding Host gave check in instructions with a lockbox code. This didn't have the front door key so had to wait out the front for 30 minutes to be let in. Once inside the apartment there was no toilet paper.
The next morning we were running about 10mins late for checkout at 10am. At 9:58, 2mins before checkout, the cleaner knocks on the door asking us to leave. At 10:07am I receive a text telling us again to leave. Chill out, 10mins late to check out shouldn't be an issue for somewhere we paid 80 euro to stay in for 12hrs.
Finally after check out the host tries to bribe me 5 euro for a positive review.
- Joseph (1/5): BEWARE. - n/a room given was NOT what i ordered, no windows with view(frosted glass), electrics loose and dangerous, worktop dirty and chipped, bedding old, shower in corridor ( outside bedroom), walls marked, broken strip light on bunker. please note that this complaint is not trivial. we did not stay. tried to contact owner but no answer on phone... It shows great reviews but not the room i was given DELUX KING ROOM .
- Evgeniia (10/5): 1 night and good sleep - Nice location, there are no noisy restaurants right next to your window (a big advantage for me).
I was surprised by the check-in, but it turned out to be convenient. My room was on the highest floor. It was very big and clean. The shower was nice (hot water and good water pressure). Fan in the room.
It seemed to have been recently renovated. Free tea and coffee downstairs. I would definitely stay there again. It might be a good idea to replace the mattress and add an extra trash can next to the sink.
- Margo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Halina (10/5): Ideal for a nights stay stop over on route to Calais - Very well located Slight damp smell in the room
- David (3/5): Poor -
- Lai (1/5): Disaster - We were unable to communicate with owner. Tel number you gave had a voice message of unrecognisable number each time I rang. I sent email to owner and
He replied in ? Flemish language. I could not park car outside or nearby although I specified to booking.com I needed car parking. By the tine I received message in English later, We had already made alternative sleeping arrangement. I am dissapointed with my latest experience with booking.com and reassured my wife I will no longer use booking.com after such a disastrous experience
- Rik (5/5): Passable -
- Malkin (5/5): Great place, terrible host. Oh, and bring mosquito spray! - The room was lovely. Good value for money. 1. communication with the host was probably the worst I've had so far in all my travels. All messages were copy-pasted from their standard information, even when we had arrived to an empty key locker and had to wait 15 minutes in the cold at night for another locker code. They didn't pick up the phone (I called 3 times) and when they finally responded, it was a copy-pasted message containing a different key locker code, with no apology or explanation.
2. 10 minutes before it was time to check out, the housekeeper knocked on the door and accosted my wife telling her to hurry up. I've never experienced that before in all my travels. When I complained about it to the host, they took the housekeeper's side in what was the first personal message I was granted the whole time.
3. When I proceeded to comment on the host's impersonal communication style, they told me that I had received a free upgrade due to the empty key locker and therefore shouldn't complain. Fun fact: since there had been no personal communication up to that point, there was no way for me to even know that I had received an upgrade.
4. The room itself was very clean, but the walls were covered in what looked like weeks worth of squashed mosquitoes. Housekeeping should be cleaning those up. Also, they should probably tell their neighbours to install a fountain in the pond in their garden, because obviously the standing water in that pond is where the gigantic swarm of mosquitoes is coming from. Don't keep your window open at night, because you'll wake up the next morning thinking you've got chickenpox.
- Sjef (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortabele and clean
- Nathan (3/5): One night was too long - Decent location, near free parking Dirty bed covers and sheets. No fan or air con.
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (3/5): Ok - The hotel was very well located and you can walk to everything. Nice box of chocolate and water was on our bed when we entered the room which was very thoughtful. The walls and ceiling in the room need to be cleaned as there are dead bugs squished everywhere. It was very hot in the room as there is no AC, but opening the windows unfortunately allows for alot of bugs to come in. It would be worth cleaning all of the walls as well as checking the mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. The shampoo bottle was also empty and it's very loud so you can hear everything.
- Vastenavondt (9/5): I would take that room again in the future if the occasion presented itself for it . - The very clean comfortable room , no overburdening noice by other tenants . Nice location . A little of street noise until very late in the night , but not overwhelming .
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Don (6/5): Close to centre, rest minimal. - Good location close to the centre. Room is very hot, but if you open the windows it is full of mosquitos, made it hard to get a good night's rest. Also the building is very noisy. The shower doesn't drain so it floods in a couple minutes.
- Оливер (6/5): Pleasant -
- Melissa (7/5): Good - Location (but noisy with windows open).Room was pleasant with a nice outlook. Shower was a good size. Table and chairs in the room was very useful. Good cupboard space, but lacking in shelves. Hanging space good. Welcome chocolates a nice touch. Shower and basin slow to drain. Basin too small. No towel hooks. Bin too small. Bed too soft. Bedside shelves useless/inconvenient. Proper bedside tables would be appreciated. Key situation unsafe (in emergency you should not need a key to exit room/building). Tea/coffee situation inadequate (and misleading on website): no cups, no supplies. Split level room annoying: we stubbed our toes.
- Alper (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean and easy to get to. Parking was near
- Marcio (1/5): Frustrating stay and full of surprises, I really don't recommend it. - I didn't like anything, it was a frustrating stay for me and my wife.
They moved the key outside the residence and after an hour with me outside they told me it was in another box.
It's very irresponsible of them to do that.
Lots of people talking in the hallways in the morning.
I don't recommend this place to anyone. Dirty and smelly towels, bed mattress full of waves, well-used bed sheets ordered
I smell too.
water leaking from the shower into the bathroom.
- Samuel (4/5): Good location and value but dated and not clean. - Good location. Reasonable price. Nice to have en suite. Easy check in/out with keybox No door to en suite which was not advertised. Room and bathroom was not very clean and the bedding smelled. No hand wash in the bathroom. Damage to walls throughout the property made it feel dated.
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional - This was simply excellent. Spacious room with very nice atmosphere. When I return to Brugges, I will stay here again. It is very close to the historic centre.
- Carolaitaly (1/5): Terrible! - Walk distance to the centre. Easy to find the key for accessing the building Entrance with cupboard full of messy towels and sheets. Another room located on the basement with broken lock with all the dirty towels and sheets. Disgusting!
- Markus (8/5): Very good - We had the room at the top. It's indeed "prächtig" - large and beautifully developed. The shower in the middle of the room takes some getting used to and is certainly not for everyone. But the toilet is separate. The fittings themselves are new and clean, the bed is great. The house itself is located on the edge of the old town near a small park - so everything is reachable on foot.
- Atiur (1/5): Bad -
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional - The location was good, near the center.
It was clean and quiet and it had a free parking nearby. There was not a hair dryer in the room and there were shampoes in the bathroom..
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional - Booked last minute due to circumstances was given the check in details within 20 minutes and where to park for free 5 minute walk away.
Market square and town centre was 10 minutes walk. Felt safe to walk around at night. Slightly odd bathroom layout having the shower in the main living area
- Tobias (1/5): Avoid - N/A Terrible! Booked this for one night, the property then cancelled my booking due to an error on the system, hotel was full, therefore I couldn’t stay. This was annoying but understandable, however was dealt terrible by the hotel, I was promised an immediate refund, which never happened, anyways after contacting them 3 times asking for a refund, they never did. They told me they had refunded, when they clearly hadn’t, I only received a refund after going through booking.com customer support. Terrible management and service
- Carol (10/5): The location was so good, I rarely needed a bus. The room was clean and comfy, perfect for a vacati - The location was so good, I rarely needed a bus.
The room was clean and comfy, perfect for a vacation and had a garden view.
- Octavio (10/5): Perfect spot to visit brugge - The place was a beautiful attic and the location was perfect All perfect
- Allon (10/5): Exceptional - The location was very good, also the price was affordable considering Brugge is expensive!
- Lewisfurgi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neisha (10/5): Such a beautiful place to visit and we were very happy with the location! So so easy and the bed was very comfy. They le - Great location! Comfy bed! Nice facilities! All you need really 😊 There wasn’t much to not like! However I can see why some reviews don’t like the fact that there was a lot of noise. Also it says on here there is free parking but needs to state it is public parking and you need to be lucky to get a close spot (we were but others may not be so lucky) over all a great stay though 😊
- Ronaldo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leonhard (7/5): Good -
- Gabriele (10/5): Cycling tour - Great position. Easy access. Nice room Room not much soundproof in the morning Remember to bring coins for the local tax
