• Donald (10/5): Great budget place! - The place was very clean. The staff was very polite and professional, and the price was very low. The bathroom wasnt great and it's not luxurious at all. But that should be obvious from the price you pay. For the value, I think it's as good as you will find in Sofia

• Gunnar (5/5): It was ok for the price but the nuisance from cigarettes needs to be tackled! - It was cheap, good location in the citycenter, heatingmachine was good, spacious room. I had good quite nights of sleep there. Public transport close by. I booked a double room but it were two twin beds, so it's a twin room but they named it a double room on booking, deceptive... Bathroom was smelly and uncomfortable. often times there was cigarette smell in the hallway and room... Also the bed sheets smelled really bad like cigarettes which is unacceptable. There is no nightstand so either in the evening you can sit in bright light or pitch dark.

• Galina (4/5): Задоволителен, за едно спане става. - Местоположението е удобно, в центъра , метрото е близо. Беше тихо и спокойно. Имаше климатик. Ужасно спално бельо, старо протрито, от тънка гадна изкуствена материя, една единствена хавлия среден размер от комунистическо време.

• Carlos (7/5): Well - LOCATION When we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed very well but the person did not know English nor did he know how to use Google Translate. It was difficult for us to understand each other, but we managed.

• Andrea (1/5): BEDBUGS - As i mentioned in the previous comment- bedbugs in both Sky Rooms and Osogovo rooms. I think guests are not aware of what this is and just bring them around with them to the next place. Unfortunately i’m allergic to them, on the next morning after they changed me to the second room i had my whole body full of bites, legs, arms, back, even in my ears. I showed the woman the bites and she couldn’t care less, just saying, oh that’s because you are allergic! Unacceptable behaviour of both the lady and the manager. Instead of offering a refund, they ask you for extra money.. The bites got worse and i had to take tablets for the allergy, they told me i might even have to go to hospital for an injection, adding that i lost 2-3 days in Sofia just trying to disinfect my clothes before moving to another place and the psychological distress that it causes. And the 200€ they scammed me. This place should be closed down because they clearly don’t care about the problem and just try to get the money of people, and the hygienic conditions in general are pretty terrible as well.
• Andrea (1/5): BEDBUGS - As soon as i got to the room and laid down in the bed i started seeing insects and in few minutes bedbugs started crawling onto me. I left immediately and asked for a refund, they refused, so i requested to be changed to another room, for which they asked for additional 40€, it was evening and i had no other choice than to pay this money in order not to lose my whole reservation. They moved me to the building next door, Osogovo i think it’s called, another hotel of the same owner, and unsurprisingly i found bedbugs again that night. Next day i asked the lady to speak to the manager several times and they refused, not even giving me the chance to talk to him by phone, refusing to give any refund, to give back this extra money i paid or to cancel a second reservation i had of one more night. In total (6 nights i had booked) they scammed me about 200€. They know about this problem and do nothing about it, and the disrespectful attitude of the lady and manager (that i never saw) were unbelievable. So be aware that both Sky rooms and Osogovo (hotel next door) are infected with bedbugs, not to mention the stuffy, nasty smell in the rooms and intense pee smell in corridor and toilet, the lady knocking my door and opening it (unlocking with her own keys) immediately after, she did it several times, not giving me time to even answer. They are professional scammers.
• Cale (5/5): Passable - Excellent greeting from lady looking after reception. The location was ok. A lift to the 6th floor, which was good as I couldn't have made all the stairs as I have COPD. The owners booked us a cab for the next morning, which turned up on time for our connecting train to go home, so great service and very helpful of them. Booked a room at sky rooms (stated one room left). Was put in an apartment next door. The room was too basic, just beds and closet space. Beds were old, and mattresses were not comfortable. could feel the wooden slats through the mattress. There were no facilities for making a hot drink. it would have been nice to have a kettle, at least for a coffee in the morning before leaving. Toilet and shower was outside the room, although not too much of a problem. Definitely not a 5 star stay, too basic.

• Firdes (5/5): Not for clean visitors, get ready for harsh reality - Great location and friendly stuff, easy and fast self-check- in any time Not very clean and very smelly room with poor and shabby furniture and beds. I was afraid to touch anything. Pics that you see on booking.com are not relevant to what you see in reality. I was not prepared to see 4 beds in the room (I travel alone and booked 2 beds room) that looks more like a shelter for homeless people than a hostel. Btw, the price was 25 euro per night that is not adequate. The smell was absolutely disgusting. But I didn't have any choice at 2 am so I had to stay. Next time will read comment more carefully before booking. It was last moment booking for (thank God) 1 night only

• Tobias (3/5): 28€ for this (single with own bath in June) is the cheapest in this area, and you get the worst you dream of. - this is lowest level possible. stinks from smoke. 40 years old furniture, mold in bathroom, everything worn out. I have been everywhere in the world but this is even worse than India. only plus: no insects in room. seriously..

I have travelled to 21 countries but never had such bad experience of staying. - only location no one at the reception. 1 old lady who doesn’t speak English hard to talk to her old place, rooms, bed, bedsheet, blanket all old not cleaned. had bed bugs no kitchen to get drinking water. we were told to fill bottle from toilet to drink

• Ganna (3/5): Terrible smells of cigarettes - In room was warm/hot. TV and internet It terrible smells of cigarettes! Terrible! My hair, clothes, bags- everything was smells in the morning. In bathroom was little cold. Walls are very thin- I heard coughing, blowing their nose and snoring in neighboring rooms. Never again!

• Sabrina (8/5): knowing that, I would’ve spend a little more and go somewhere else. - Amazing position, and the lady is really helpful and nice. The beds were super uncomfortable, it was like sleeping on a stone, and the room was cold, we arrived in a freezing room and we had to keep the heating on all night, the parking is to be paid on site (5€ per day) and the boiler is not enough for two shower, so we had to shower in two different time, and is someone for other room used the shower there wasn’t any hot water at all.

• Kristian (3/5): If you’re okay to sleep like a prisonmate for 25€ night this is your place. - Location was perfect. Bed mattress was okay. No noise coming from the street. Has AC. Very smelly rooms and corridor. Very old furniture. No refrigerator. Thin walls you can hear everyone’s conversation. Upon arrival the host immediately takes photos of your ID card which i DID NOT LIKED AT ALL. I did not told her to not take pictures because i guess this is instructions from the owner. I guess it’s kind of assurance because of bad past experiences with people who did not pat, but come on! I guess that is what you get for this amount of money.

• Agent_66 (6/5): Value for money stay in a great location - The location and the fact there was a private bathroom. Wi-Fi was not available as stated in Sky Rooms description. This facility could be important for many travelers, especially those traveling for work. So, the owner should take care to remedy this issue.
