• Iulia A (8/5): - The location was great and the view from the terrace was lovely. Communication with the host was very easy. Bedroom door didn't close, bathroom didn't have shelves or a toothbrush holder, all together there are some small details that would have made the stay way more comfortable.

• Yiqi (9/5): 绝佳纪念碑观景，但内部楼梯较为陡峭 - 景色： 景色非常漂亮，从客厅和主卧可以直接看到市中心的纪念碑。 设施： 厨房设施非常齐全，虽然没有配备洗碗机，但日常使用完全足够。 位置： 地理位置还算方便，因为靠近山脚，视野和氛围都很不错。 楼梯： 由于建筑靠近山脚，室外需要爬较多台阶。此外，公用厨房在一楼，而我们的房间在二楼，内部楼梯比较陡峭，上下楼略显不便。 共用空间： 厨房需要与其他住客共用，且上下楼梯对于搬运大件行李来说是一个挑战。

• Hristina (10/5): Чудесно беше! - Много приятно място, хубава локация, страхотна гледка, любезни домакини (бяха се погрижили предварително да е приятно топло, без дори да сме им казвали, също се свързаха с нас предварително относно локацията, паркирането, ключовете). Интересна къща, голям балкон, удобно легло и голям, удобен гардероб. Много лесно за намиране. Хубав интериор, но ми липсва едно по-голямо огледало (за изглед в цял ръст), също бих предпочела да има и някакви базови шампоан, душ гел, балсам за коса (за кратки посещения би било удобно да не нося). Сешоар например има и е удобство.

• Teneva (10/5): Перфектно! - Прекрасно място. Снимките напълно се препокриват с действителността. Гледката от терасата е невероятна. Всичко е направено с много умисъл и вкус. Адмирации за което. Кухнята е оборудвана с абсолютно всичко необходимо и за по- дълъг престой. Локацията е повече от удовлетворяваща. Изключително чисто и уютно място. Шумничко е, но предвид местоположението е абсолютно нормално. Аз лично нямам проблем с това. Просто го отчитам като информация.
• Boyana (10/5): - The room looked even better than the pictures, it was extremely spacious and beautiful. The location is super central, walking distance to everything we wanted to visit and in an extremely beautiful part of town. The staff was extremely responsive and kind. I have been to Veliko Tarnovo many times, but staying here made this visit even better. I don’t think I will ever stay anywhere else when i visit, it was lovely.

We were with 4 people and the entire appartment met our expectations. The location is great, very close to the city. A small minus regarding the bathroom, there was no lock on the door.

• Irina (10/5): An exceptional place to visit! - The place was very clean, we had everything we needed and the view from the balcony was marvelous and the location was close to everything you might wish to visit! Old town, city center, Tsarevets and etc. Everything was 20 minutes away on foot at most. The owner was quite helpful and shared some really helpful information regarding the town and what we might need. Overall, we were very satisfied and would come here again! Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect.

• Flavia-mihaela (10/5): Great location, highly recommended - The room had a nice view towards the Art gallery across the river and the location was perfect on the historical street, very close to all the restaurants. The staff was very nice and accommodating, even though we arrived a bit earlier than the check-in time indicated. The big balcony was a plus, we enjoyed evenings there a lot. Also, our room had a cute little wooden arch that made the passing from the entry area to the bedroom itself, which was nice. The room was not that well sound proofed. We could hear the other guests move around the house, but that was to be expected with the house being old. We didn't really mind it, the neighbours were fairly quiet, so for us it wasn't a problem.

• Laura (5/5): Well located, not expensive but basic. - Very well located for visiting Veliko Turnovo. It was very basic. Did not look like the pictures. One bedroom faces the street and though it is not busy, you can sometimes hear voices through the windows, which are not well insulated. Our AC units did not work well.

• Paul (9/5): We enjoyed our stay at Lion's Residence. - Lion's Residence has a great location, in the center of old town, with walkable access to main tourist attractions. Not too big, but not too small, it offers us all we need during our 2 nights stay, including a terrace to enjoy the morning coffee and of course an evening wine. The host was very helpful with recommendations. The configuration of the bathroom, more precisely the lack of a delimitation of the shower.
• Miguel (4/5): Disappointing - The place is situated in a very nice and central part of the city. Near a lot of restaurants, bars and cafés. The back view is fantastic! Furniture is Nice as well as the TV and AC. In 10 days traveling around Bulgaria, this apartment was the most unclean and filthy place we ever slept. The state of the freezers inside are just a sample of the cleaning state of the apartment, and its just disgusting. Even  the bathroom, seemed clean, but it didnt smell to clean, far from it. Lazyness to clean is seen in small things, like and ashtray full of cigarrets on top of the AC. It was a shared kitchen and entrance between to apartments, when i have chosed a full apartment on Booking. Strairs to the uppert apartment are very steep and some how dangerous if you carry heavy bags Parking is free but not so easy to find if you arrive on the weekend.
• Courtney (10/5): Beautiful location and a beautiful home, fantastic place for couples - Beautiful area, if you’re a first time visitor of Veliko it’s the perfect spot, quiet but only a 2 minute walk to the Main Street. Property was clean and decorated beautifully and I can’t wait to stay again

The place is clean, has a great large terrace and a cute kitchen with everything you need and lots of coffee :) We booked the entire place which is perfect for a group of 4-5 friends. We went during a busy weekend and there were no available parking spots nearby but it was not a big issue

The house was old, historic, very beautiful and at the same time cozy, clean and all facilities were modern. The location in the old city allowed us to come back to the house several times per day to change clothes, do something else, and then proceed with walking - it's very convenient! I cannot think of anything.

• Frances (9/5): So good that we stayed an extra day. - Great location in old centre of Veliko Tarnovo with balcony looking over the river to the art gallery. As with many of the bathrooms in Bulgaria, the shower floods the bathroom floor temporarily.
• Viera (10/5): Travel back in time and get the best view! - Super cozy adorable old house with a modern touch. The host is very responsive. The balcony! I would just go there again to seat once more with a glass of wine. You will love it! Just be aware there is only a small mini market for groceries nearby, the host can point out for you.

• Cécile (7/5): Nice stay despite some hickups - Nora was a wonderful host and even advised of a car repair shop nearby when we got into car trouble. She was helpful in every way possible. Unfortunately the apartment was not up to our standards due to various reasons (bad smell in the bathroom, sticky table, ants etc.)

• Randul (10/5): Surprising Veliko - The Lion's Residence was a great choice for visiting Veliko. The apartament is on Gurko's street ,very close to the main things to see. It's a clean, cozy and nice place with a great view. We had also a very good communication with the owner/staff .

• Razvan (9/5): Superb - Location, cleanliness, having the minimal necessary kitchen facilities Bathroom even if not big, might still be improved by separating the shower area. Currently, the water stays on whole floor until completely drainig, making somewow a discomfort is using the sink.

Also I can't praise enough the young lady who looked after us during our stay helping us with transportation and giving tips about restaurants and places to visit.

• Dimana (5/5): Passable - I really liked the room and the balcony and the town is very beautiful but I recommend to go in the Spring or summer. what I didn’t like was that it wasn’t cleaned how it is supposed to be in the toilet were spots from someone before us..and I think actually no one had cleaned the bathroom..also there is not enough hot water for everyone because there were also people in the other apartment and at 12-1am we were supposed to bath us with completely cold water thats not normal.

• Paragkash (10/5): Best place with a view and parking - Great view from bedroom and dining area, comfortable beds, free parking in front of the apartment. The hosts were very nice and approachable. The apartment is on the 1st floor inside the house. Kitchen is on the ground floor. The steps are steep. Best thing one can do is make a small day bag and take that up and keep the bags down in the luggage room. Hosts helped us put the bags in there. Home slippers for all was a nice good thing. Location is great, walking distance to all the attractions., if one is coming by car. I don't know how accessible it is by public transport. Toilet is very tiny with no wet area, no locking system. No kitchenette upstairs. It would help if there are some basic things and crockery up, so that one doesn't have to go down the steep stairs. Streets to come in are extremely narrow. Google map is a bit confusing. Please study it closely before you entre the city. There is one very small bylane off the main road which goes down. If you miss it, you will have to go ahead and come back. Overall a very nice experience. No complaints
• Ana (10/5): Perfect - Everything is perfect. The apartment was very clean, had a great balcony (we ate out breakfast there every morning and so we could enjoy the view of the city), you have a kitchen with everything you need if you want to eat inside. The quality-price ratio is exceptional. It’s the perfect place to stay if you come to Veliko, I guarantee! It’s not necessary a thing that we didn’t like, but it would be nice to have a TV on which you could stream films or YouTube on.
• Dmitri (9/5): Superb - Very old apartment in a good way in the center of old city. The sunset and sunrise are magnificent. The breakfast on the balcony with a view on park and river/lake are unforgettable. Be aware - the hot water is sharp HOT, but it is due to the boiler. The only thing that troubled but it is beyond the apartment or the owner - the streets are very narrow. I recommend national restaurant nearby - very delicious meals.

The staff was very helpful! The smell from the bathroom was bad, most likely from the drain pipes! That could be fixed, if it's possible! The table from the sitting day room could be better cleaned! It was covered with a sticky dust layer! 😁
