Sehr aufmerksames Personal, auch wenn man am freien Montag 20:00 Uhr Self-Checking macht und trotz Sitzung des Personals sofort unterstützt wird. Der Gast steht hier wirklich absolut im Zentrum. Leckeres Frühstück; rundum wars für mich ein stimmiger Aufenthalt in Aarau....

• Doris (9/5): Angenehm, freundlich, gerne wieder - Sehr freundliches Personal, wir konnten sehr früh einchecken. Es war ruhig und liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Altstadt Alles war bestens. Geduscht wird noch in der Badewanne. Für uns aber kein Problem.

• Adrian (10/5): Excellent hôtel avec personnel très compétent. - surtout le personnel est merveilleux, compétent et pragmatique, sans exagération, chambre très correcte et propre, cuisine excellente. Rapport prix-qualité bon. Entre ouvrier et chef d’état, tout le monde peut s’y sentir à l’aise.

• BetsyLita (9/5): A perfect location and hotel for a 2 night stay with easy walking distance to the old town - The breakfast was a nice buffet, boiled eggs available, breads, meat, cheese, tea, coffee. Lovely staff. The hotel is within walking distance of the old town, which is up hill from the hotel, but an easy walk. Parking in the lot opposite, with discount coupon from the hotel it was free. The location is not particularly scenic, but it is convenient. There are restaurants nearby though we did not have time to go there. There is a park nearby which we also did not explore.

• Roger (8/5): Gemütliches Gasthaus mit freundlichem Personal, kleinen Abstrichen bei Beleuchtung und Lärm. - Die Unterkunft ist gut erreichbar – mit dem Auto, zu Fuß oder mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Vom Bahnhof dauert der Fußweg ca. 30 Minuten. Für Autofahrer gibt es direkt gegenüber beim Gasthof Parkplätze. Wer länger als einen Tag parkt, sollte sich mit dem Gasthof in Verbindung setzen, um ein vergünstigtes Parkticket zu erhalten. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mein Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Restaurant kann ich nicht bewerten, da ich während meines kurzen Aufenthaltes dort nicht gegessen habe. Das Frühstück entspricht den üblichen Standards. Wer lärmempfindlich ist, sollte dieses Gasthaus meiden. Man hört die Züge, den Straßenverkehr sowie gelegentlich ein Lüftungsgeräusch oder Ähnliches. Mich persönlich hat es nicht gestört. Die Beleuchtung im Zimmer war für meinen Geschmack unpraktisch. Vor allem die Deckenbeleuchtung im Schlafbereich war sehr hell – dimmbar wäre wünschenswert. Durch den Stuhl mit Tisch war es zudem etwas eng, sodass man die Stehlampe schwer erreichen konnte. Auch die Tischbeleuchtung sah zwar stilvoll aus, war aber etwas umständlich zu bedienen.

• Andrea (6/5): - Die Dame an der Rezeption ist sehr nett gewesen. Die Lage ist ganz günstig - man ist schnell in der Stadt. Es ist laut, wenn man bei offenem Fenster schlafen will (Zugstrecke nebendran). Da es keine Klimaanlage gibt, hat man im Sommer keine andere Wahl. Die Dame, die das Frühstücksbuffet besorgt, war eher geschäftsmässig. Der Preis ist für die in die Jahre gekommenen Bäder und die fehlende Klimaanlage nicht angemessen.

• Franziska (10/5): Top Unterkunft mit super freundlichem Personal - Super freundliches, aufmerksames und hilfbereites Personal. Modernes Zimmer und ein vielfältiges und leckeres Frühstücksbuffet. Auch die Kommunikation vorab per Mail hat super funktioniert. Sehr beeindruckend, wie die verschiedenen Bereiche (Rezeption, Service, Hausdienst) so abgestimmt funktionieren, ein grosses Kompliment ans ganze Team! -

The faculties were great, clean, modern, comfortable. The breakfast staff were helpful and attentive, with great coffee and bread with jams. And the location was walking distance to most in-town things. There was not an elevator, which was not an issue for us, but could have been for others. The breakfast was presented in a tight bar area with limited selection and felt a little awkward.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was delicious and well tended to. Room was spacious enough for 2, good lighting. Parking available across the street.
• Michael (8/5): Very good - Very nice small hotel around 15 mins. walk from the train station and town centre in Aarau, downhill getting there, uphill getting back to the station. The room was a decent size. Breakfast was continental and somewhat limited but what was there, was good.

• Michelle (10/5): A very welcoming short stay here to see our N.Irish hero Foy Vance in concert! - This guesthouse was very friendly and welcoming and located close to the old town. It is top rated for food in the town, although we didn't eat there, the restaurant was very busy. Parking is located in front, in a public car park and the receptionist has a card whereby you pay 12 francs a day. Our room was spacious, clean, super comfortable bed and homely. It was all very relaxing. Breakfast, although a small display, had everything - fresh bread, croissants, fruit, yoghurts, hard/soft boiled egg and a small selection of meats & cheese. We appreciated very much the 'help yourself to coffee machine' which is always the best thing ever! Super friendly staff who spoke English with us. Nothing.

Convenient location with bus only 50m from hotel towards old town of Aarau and train station. Excellent (though expensive) hotel restaurant, great food and wines.

The room was quiet and comfortable., - Good spread of items on the breakfast buffet, including for a vegetarian like me. Fresh fruits, variety of coffee, ovaltine, freshly baked breads. Love the cherry jam. I had an amazing dinner too. The staff was also so accommodating to fix a meal for my dog.
