• Molina (9/5): - La ubicación y el personal fue muy amable. Las camas y los espacios fueron muy buenos y pudimos entrar y salir a diferentes horas. Cuando tuvimos inconvenientes con el baño, lo solucionaron inmediatamente. Creo que para mejorar sería que la habitación tuviera un closet para guardar la ropa ya que solo se contaba con una mesa para colocar las cosas.

• Cedric (9/5): - Top! bien situé, tout ce que l on demande d un hostel. Propre, les dortoirs sont spacieux, matelas et coussin très confortable, les lit sont plus grands. Le personnel est sympa ! Je recommande à 100%
• Guest (7/5): Buena estadía. - La ubicación en la ZONA HISTÓRICA, cerca de todo. Falta de muebles de alcoba. No hay closer, no hay medias de noche no pantallas para la media de noche (obviamente). E incómodo, cada vez que se va a cambiar debe revolver la maleta. Por el resto muy bien.
• FABIAN (1/5): Precaucion Estafa en reserva en POPAYAN - Reserve habitación "DELUXE", según las características de comodidad y las fotografías publicadas con vista a la ciudad y me dirigieron a un tercer piso pasando por zona de servicio escaleras sucias, mobiliario sucio desordenado y una pequeña "pieza" o cuarto del servicio, calurosa sin ventanas al exterior y ninguna característica "DELUXE". No la recibí por faltar totalmente a lo pactado y el alojamiento no devolvió el dinero ante el flagrante incumplimiento. Ciudado no caigan en la estafa. Debí buscar otro alojamiento muchísimo mejor por menos valor confortable y decente y seguro. Esa platica se perdio. El alojamiento no cuenta con documentación exigible como Registro nacional de turismo y su administrador no se presento para resolver el impase. Al final perdimos el dinero. • Sharon (5/5): Would not recommend - Good size room The hostel is quite run down. The cooking utensils in the kitchen are broken. The rooms have no soundproofing or darkness. The double beds are extremely small. The staff is amateurish. We asked for a quiet room and the request was ignored, we got the room facing the busy road.

However staying for more than 2-3 nights might become a bit uncomfortable in my opinion Even if it seemed clean, the toilet was broken, the lockers were full of mold. But I think the worst is the reception. There was no one welcoming me at my arrival, even if they knew the time. Also when I asked whether they could call a taxi for me in the morning, they told me that I could just stop one random on the street. I find the attention to the customers really disappointing

• Mathilde (8/5): Good value for money - The room was comfortable and clean. There is a small balcony that overlooks the street. The shared bathroom was clean and had hot water. The only negative point is that the street is noisy so it is difficult to rest in the morning.

• Marie (8/5): Great Location - The location was perfect and very near the main plaza. Our bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was reasonably well equipped. Our room had a small balcony, not big enough to sit out on but nice. The shower had hot water. All good

• Joseph (5/5): Check you room before paying to determine if you have hot water - The location was great and the building has potential but plumbing needs to be improved in room 205. The first night was spent in a room with no hot water. The second night was spent at another hotel nearby also with no hot water. The third night I finally had a room with hot water. The elevation at Popayan is too high for cold showers especially at this price point. Changing rooms every day at noon made it impossible to take any of the walking tours in town.

• Nicole (8/5): Good hostel for a couple of nights - Good location, nice staff, clean common areas, equipped kitchen No windows in the room, really stuffy in there especially after the shower. Ps. It should be noted that the hostel accepts families/children so you can get toddlers screaming and crying in the evening or early in the morning
• Esther (6/5): OK option but not recommended - Super friendly staff and good location in the city centre. Common areas are well maintained. Very noisy, had a private room and could hear every word spoken in the reception/ common area. The room was also not very clean unfortunately. The shower head was also broken.

• Ufuomanefe (8/5): Great location, could be more sociable - Great location- 2 blocks from the main square and 1 minute walk from a large supermarket. Felt very safe to walk around. Hostel has leaflets and posters about activities. First night of arrival- receptionist very good and attentive and was emptying bins at 10:30pm! I like this as it means the bins aren't full after a full day of use and ready for the morning. Shared form of 6 has its own huge bathroom. Lockers and storage shelves in rooms. Towels and soap included. Good kitchen space for cooking; it was on the whole very clean and well equipped. Lots of space to eat which therefore allowed you to interact with other guests when you saw them. The price hike because of the holidays but you got nothing more for your money in comparison to lie season. No natural social atmosphere - the lounge area is behind the reception desk and it's not advertised therefore you assume it's a back office or something. The lack of breakfast means guests just get up and go rather than naturally gathering to eat together. Not all staff were as attentive with cleaning- sometimes kitchen bin lids were filthy, bedroom bins are small so could do with regular emptying. Bathroom sink in 6 person dorm was blocked and drained so slowly- never sorted whilst I was there and informed 2 different staff members. Next steps- a Whatsapp group so guests can organise activities together. Option for breakfast - it appears they once did this in the past.

• Amanda (1/5): would not at all recommend - I sent a message asking to cancel because I was going to arrive in the middle of the night, didn’t hear back and my reservation was still active in the booking app so I decided to keep the reservation even though it meant waiting 3am-6 in the bus terminal. When I got there I spoke with someone on the phone who told me the room was open and ready for me but It was locked. when someone showed up around 8am they told me they had given the room to someone else but they had a hotel close for $29US a night that had a balcony and was available. The hotel did not have a balcony or a place for me to smoke the wifi didn’t work there was a big cockroach in the shower the window looked into a staff cleaning room so had to have the curtain closed and the staff made a lot of noise laughing and taking loudly until 1:30 in the morning. There was one man and one girl who were very friendly but aside from that the staff was bad as well. I was waiting outside for food delivery and when the guy arrived I was talking to him and the woman who checked me in yelled out to him interrupting me that it was their food. The delivery person had food for both them and myself and it would have been nice if she didn’t yell out and interrupt. I could hear them hanging out until 1:30 in the morning making no effort at all to keep their voices down. it was a terrible experience and the price was insane for the property compared to other hotels in popayan

• Christopher (4/5): Very basic, but ok for one night if you're desperate - The location is very central The windows have shutters, so you don't get awoken by morning light The room was rather cold and there was no heater. In the middle of the night I found the single blanket somewhat lacking. The toilet had no toilet seat, which is very poor for what was described as a "deluxe" room The lights were very harsh. There was no lamp or bedside table There was no atmosphere
• Brittany (5/5): It’s a cheap option if you are passing through to get to Pasto. - They let us check into our hostel early as we arrived mid morning. Also, the staff was very friendly. It’s close to the main square where you will find all the colonial architecture. The building itself has Colonial style balconies. There was hot water in the showe. The bathroom that we stayed in had mold in it and the light didn’t work. The kitchen area was quite dirty when we went to cook in the evening, which is mostly just lack of responsibility amongst guests, not the hostel, but nonetheless doesn’t make it appeasing to want to cook when people don’t clean up. Wifi wasn’t working so we couldn’t watch Netflix.

• Theodora (9/5): Superb - Spacious room with very comfortable bed and pillows, table, big bathroom, huge wardrobe and even a table (not very common in hotels and hostels in Colombia!). The most central location you can possibly find in Popayan, a 5-min walk from the central square. What we liked more was the friendliness of the staff! Although we arrived quite late (after 11pm) the girl at the reception patiently waited for us before finishing her shift and not only: she also helped us order food through a delivery application, as there was nothing open nearby at the time. She also kept communicating with us through whatsapp after she had left work to inform us regarding our delivery! The young lad who was at the reception in the morning also very friendly and talkative. Very good vibes in general, although we stayed unfortunately just for one night! There was a slight smell of humidity in the blankets, although they were rather clean. I suspect they didn't dry up properly. There were construction works right outside of the hotel starting very early in the morning, I hope it will not last long and spoil the image of this otherwise very sweet and quiet hostel.
