Guest Reviews
- Maël (10/5): -
- Robert (10/5): A really nice rustic Eco Lodge - The host was fantastic. Very welcoming and accommodating. NA
- Adam (10/5): Wonderful service in an amazing part of the planet - Amazing location, with local nature all around. We felt like we visited friends. We were interested in eating local fish. They went out of their way to prepare different species with wonderful dishes. Ingredients were all só fresh. The atmosphere is very relaxing and safe. They have a roofed raised platform to watch the sunset on the beach. Spectacular. The lodge has no road access- just motorcycle taxis on the beach. It can be tricky planning when access is cut off during high tide. The trail into the rainforest has not been maintained- it appears it is not very popular- which is off because it is a spectacular rainforest. We found once the trail arrived into the park- there was a lot of selective logging.
- Petra (9/5): Turtles and whales next to the sea 💖 - What a beautiful location with wonderful staff and a great place to see turtles (release of small turtles next door) and if you want to see a turtle laying eggs, this is done in a very respectful manner. I was happy with seeing the tracks of the mother turtle early morning, but the family who stayed with us really had a beautiful experience. Lovely food, hammocks and next to the sea, did not see the whales from the viewing deck, but we enjoyed the sunset with a freah coconut to drink! Hope to come back one day 💖
- Emiliano (10/5): - Excelente lugar muy confortable , muy agradable familia la cual siempre a disposición para tener una buena estadia , excelente comida variada en sabores
- Frank the Bärliner (9/5): - This place s THEN ONE paradies in total Choco, its peaceful, quiet and clean. You get even a hammock with your bunglow. The Bungalow stands in a nice garden and they serve also very good food. Its a bit out of the village and your movings are depend on the tides.
Now this place has even a innovation, solar panels who gives you light and electricity for 24/7 and even the internet signal is strong and fast over the whole place. Gracias por TODO Frank the Bärliner
- Axelle (10/5): - Lieux magnifique !
Rien
- Marek (10/5): Exceptional - This is a great place to relax. Quiet and peaceful. The wooden cottages are simple but nicely planned and with comfortable beds and mosquito nets. In addition:
+ Great staff and owner
+ Very tasty food and diet tailored to individual needs
+ Proximity to the ocean
+ Great value for money
I read in other reviews that some guests received a higher bill than they expected. I paid exactly what I was supposed to. I just had to explain that my breakfast was included in the price. Each cottage has two separate quarters. Since the walls are made of thin boards, you can hear much on the other side.
- Victor (10/5): Little heaven at 2 hours hike form El Valle - The place is very isolated and accessible by 2h hike on the beach. Even more there you got a Mirador this is the place to be in El Valle if you're looking for rest, tranquility or unusual experience.
Moreover Doña Ne is taking care of you as wanted. Nothing, maybe the electricity 3 hours a day but for me it's normal in a place that isolated.
- Schwab (10/5): Eco experience without the price tag. - Quiet beach setting. Very welcoming host with exceptional cooking using natural products. I was pleased to meet an independent women who is living off grid and is almost self sufficient. Dona makes the effort of arranging rides and tours and made sure we had a reliable ride back to the airport.
- Ed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elisabeth (10/5): Perfect, strongly recommend! - Everything was great and the price-quality ratio is simply outstanding. The room was very clean and cozy (more than it appeared from the pictures), the food was excellent, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Of course the locations right on the beach is lovely and strongly increases your chances or seeing whales and turtles!
It is true that the tide makes the hotel inaccessible at some hours, but as far as we understood this is the same for all hotels located on the beach. Moreover, the owners helped us to know at what time we needed to leave every time we went on an excursion or when we left. So finally it was not too problematic thanks to them.
- Paola (9/5): We loved it there, the simplicity, the nature, the people, the perfect place to disconnect and relax - The location is amazing, right on the beach, quite, only the noise of the nature. The room is simple and fits perfectly the surroundings. Can’t think about anything
- Martin (8/5): Very good - The sorrounding area and the hospitality of the hosts. The place offers what you expect for the price. Lovely viewpoint Food was good but a bit overpriced
- Jakob (9/5): Superb - Very quiet, right on the beach, very friendly hosts. About one hour walk from El Valle, the mototaxi can only be used at low tide. Can also be seen as a bonus :)
- Yvonne (9/5): Superb - The place was stunning, just out by the sea, sky full of stars, sleeping with the sound of the waves!
A simple but very comfortable place ! We were nicely welcomed and all the time well cared for! The place is one hour (by walking along the beach) away from the town or 15min by moto/tuktuk (only when the tide is low)! Since there are no other restaurants around there we depended on the food and supplies which were offered there! It was a pricelist on booking presented, but finally the meals where more expensive at the end when we paid ! Thats not a Problem but it should be communicated correctly !
