• Bunn (9/5): Comfortable, convenient and good value - Close to the beach, nice, big, airy rooms. The proprietor very kindly made us a packed breakfast to take away as we had to leave early in the morning.

O pequeno-almoço foi excelente, variado e com produtos de boa qualidade. Destaco ainda a enorme simpatia e disponibilidade da anfitriã, que fez toda a diferença e tornou a experiência ainda mais especial. Sem dúvida, um lugar a repetir!

• Russell (9/5): An excellent place to stay in Mindelo, near to many facilities - The property is convenient to the beach and promenade, the room was spacious, clean, and had good facilities. I got help with my airport travel. The street at ground level can be very noisy at night.

• Victor (4/5): Je ne reviendrais pas, le matelas doit être changé. - Chambre assez grande avec salle de bain fonctionnelle, les deux peintures Spider-Man sont originales. Le matelas était horrible, on sent les ressorts dans le dos. On est au cap vert depuis 1 mois et c’était le pire qu’on ait vu, on a très mal dormi. La chambre est au rez de chaussée donc pas possible d’ouvrir les volets pour avoir de la lumière. Pas d’espace extérieur, pas d’aération et beaucoup d’humidité, pas de machine à laver disponible et une petite cuisine. Les propriétaires ne parlent que le portugais, la communication est compliquée et presque agressive avec de longs messages non accueillants voire menaçants.

• Chermaine (10/5): - Friendly hosts. Sonia is so nice and helpful. I haven't met her husband I will definitely recommend this place if you want to stay away from crowed hotels, and still be comfortable. I dont have any negative points
• Margit (10/5): Come stay here and experience an authentic taste of local life. - We had a wonderful stay and especially loved the hosts, Sonia & Anselmo. They are true superhosts. They take care of you like loving parents — warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to their guests. We arrived at 10:00 even though check-in was officially at 12:00, but they still welcomed us kindly and made sure we were comfortable from the very beginning. Throughout the entire week they looked after our well-being and did everything with heart. Their hospitality made the stay truly special. Thank you, Sonia & Anselmo!

• Monaco (5/5): 🥺 - La chambre était grande Porte fermée à notre arrivée. Chambre sommaire. On a demandé de l’eau et on a vu que ça les embêtait. On a dû payer en cash à l’arrivée et comme ils n’avaient pas la monnaie pour nous rendre ils nous ont dit d’aller en faire en ville. C’était notre premier jour sur l’île et une mauvaise première impression. Heureusement la suite de notre séjour au Cap Vert a été incroyable 🤩

• Gergely (9/5): - We stayed there for two nights and found clean rooms with very helpful and kind hosts. A very good choice for this price. The location is about a 15–20 minute walk from the port, and also a 15–20 minute taxi ride from the airport. They serve you a decent breakfast. :) Thank you Sónia and Anseomi again! -

• Jean-Philippe (8/5): - L'hôtesse est adorable, elle nous a servi le petit déjeuner sur un balcon alors que nous avions une chambre sans balcon , et nous a conseillé le restaurant familial en face bon et copieux . Arrêt de bus juste à côté super pratique pour aller dans le centre ou au port Revenir du centre en taxi le soir revient à moins de 3€ La chambre du rdc est sombre , bruyante.
• Lydia (10/5): - Trato fácil y agradable. Nos ayudaron en todo debido a qué llegamos el día de la tempestad y riada que asoló Mindelo. La habitación es grande y espaciosa. Cuenta con ventilador. Nada, todo correcto.
• Orlando (10/5): Trato excelente - El personal es muy agradable. Te ayudan en todo lo que puedan si se lo pides. La dueña, Sonia, es muy cercana y muy buena persona. El lugar está cerca de tiendas para comprar comida, fruta, etc, restaurantes no caros, una panadería local con pan integral buenísimo y unas madalenas acabaditas de hacer, hay varios tipos de pan para elegir, y está justo en frente de Laginha. También está muy cerca de la bonita playa de Mindelo. Lo recomiendo absolutamente. La wifi no es muy potente. Pero para las redes sociales va bien. Tarda un poco en subir los videos.

• Mariapaola (8/5): Great value for price - We choose this property just for one night to get a ferry to santo Antão. It’s close to the port and we walked there in the morning. Sonia is very welcoming and kind, the access to the property was easy even if we arrived late at night. In the morning we also left soon and Sonia prepared for us a take away breakfast! The room was big and clean. Nothing in particular

• Strigoica (7/5): Very good for a short stay. - Quick check-in, friendly owner. The room was very spatious, with seating besides the bed, and a nice balcony (pity the wind was too strong to enjoy it). It is close to many things, but there are also many buses passing by all the time for going further. There is a bakery and an extremely cheap good food restaurant (Bar Atlantic) across the road. There is also a mini market that has most things. The ferry port is 20 minutes on foot, as is the beach (beach practically unusable due to wind, but incredible light and colors). Good wifi in the house. There is a common kitchen. The shower area was always full of water even when we did not use it. There seems to be a pipe problem of some kind in the bathroom. Not seeing the water on the floor I slipped and almost fell. The bidet was also closed and out of function.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, and easy to reach via booking or WhatsApp. The location is great, really close to a supermarket, some restaurants and the ferry to Sao Antao. There is plenty of parking options right at the house. The rooms and the other areas are clean, the breakfast is freshly made and the WiFi works great. Beds are comfy, but for 2 persons we prefer a bit wider. Shower works great (with hot water), there are enough plugs to charge your stuff. We have no complaints, everything was good! Thanks again!

• Diana (5/5): Kind host but facilies not as oromised. - The proprietor was kind. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. The facilities were not as described on the Booking.com page. The room was not on the ground floor. It was accessed by a steep, narrow metal staircase. There was no courtyard or garden and no TV. The only window was small and high up with no view. It could not be opened due to wind. Breakfast was brought to the room on a tray..
• Vesna (9/5): Good value for the money, and perfect for the beach enthusiasts - It’s really close to the beach and located in the quiet neighbourhood. Maybe 15 mins walking from the city centre, and there is a bus stop right in front of the house. We were able to sleep uninterrupted during the night, but with the windows closed because it was not that hot. I can’t say how is the situation when one needs to have windows open. Also the owners are super nice, friendly and helpful. They let us leave the luggage earlier than the check in, and kept them for us after the check out as our ferry was leaving later, arranged the taxi and were generally kind. The room was very clean and the bed is comfortable. The only downside was the fact that the curtains are not thick enough so in the morning it gets too much light.

• Kir-sten (8/5): Big room, close to the beach. - Big, clean room with a lot of space. Close to Laginha beach. The shower was cold on the second day (first day it was warm) and there was nog enough lighting in the bathroom. Host is kind, but does only speak Portugese, so hard to communicate.

• Eva (7/5): Good for the money we pay. - The owner is so nice and she is always kindly to help. We could do the check-out after twelve and have a shower with any problem. It has a fan and the bedroom is okay. There’s a bakery nearby and the beach is less than 5’ walk. Our bedroom was quite dark with a window that was closed because it was on the basement and people could see us. We missed some fruit or coffee in the morning even there’s no breakfast available.
