• Ritika (3/5): - Only location was good First things first the area stinks when you just enter the main door it smells like hell from there, second thing bed is really like I am sleeping on wood. Secondly, owner is also really very rude I accidentally locked myself out using door handle lock I forgot to unlock it when going out as stated in instructions but when I contacted owner for help instead of helping he was getting rude with me and he came after 2 hours and was not helpful at all . To be honest 4/10 experience
• Cat (7/5): Comfortable enough and good value - The location was perfect for what we were in the city to do. It was comfortable and clean. I appreciated the separate entrance and the proximity to a Safeway and restaurants. It was a little overly scented with air freshener (I am sensitive to scents and should've let them know).

• Mike (9/5): - Cozy basement suite with lots of ammenities around it. We enjoyed lunch at the Oakwood Cafe across the street, grabbed a few things at the Safeway across the street and walked to 7-11 about a half a block away. Henry was professional and accommodating to a request we had. No complaints. Just wanted to note that there is a kettle, water cooler, fridge and dishes. So you can bring instant coffee, oatmeal, cereal etc for small meals in the suite. The only thing the suite is missing is a few throw blankets on the couch to curl up under to enjoy the fireplace. Thanks for the enjoyable stay Henry.

• brown (6/5): Nice but a bit creepy - It was a nice, clean, cosy little place. Great use of space. The owners tried to make us send money outside booking.com, it was a $100 deposit to random email. This is strange and also against booking.com policy. This lead us to believe this house was a scam and left a bad taste in our mouth with the whole booking - we were put off and became a bit scared by the property. The owner did waive the fee, as we’re not Canadian citizens, and couldn’t send the money which was good. However, we shouldn’t have been sending the money regardless. There is also a lot of random doors which lead to the property from the upstairs which is quite creepy and makes you feeling like anyone can get in at any time - they are locked, however, we don’t know who has access to these.

• Iyati (8/5): - The room is clean and tidy, Good location. The beddings had dust mites ,it was very uncomfortable. Then the room needs good ventilation.
• NILOUFAR (7/5): Good and private stay. - Clean and good smell, having privacy, well organized, good location, water gets hot so fast. The shower was leaking out of tge shower a lot and it was hard to manage. You can hear everything upstairs (walking, TV, flushing, etc.).

• Jaxx (9/5): Lovely stay - It was very cozy and inviting. The high touch/high use areas were clean. There were convenient surfaces to place our belongings; a dresser top, a small covered box at the foot of the bed, and a desk behind the sofa. The dresser is great but we were only there for 2 nights and didn't have very many things with us. There was also a nook with two bars and hangers to hang our clothes on. Everything that you'd need in a bathroom was there. The only thing was the angle of the shower head which can't really be adjusted to point away from the gap between the bottom of the glad doors and the shower base. The host was very polite and answered my questions in a timely manner. I would definitely visit again. The bottom of the shower door area will leak near the base if you don't stand between it and the stream of water but it's hard to do that before the water warms up.

Definitely coming back Just coz we’re at basement we can here a lot from upstairs but don't get me wrong that's just fine its tolerable and its basement so its actually expected.

• Dilcia (3/5): Decent place but won’t come back - Location Loud noises from upstairs in early morning from 6am. Bugs seen on the floor. Bathroom faucet hard to turn on.
• Madeline (5/5): Passable - Very clean and comfortable upon first entering, spacious, provided you with shower essentials, basic kitchenette set up and had available water and also a fridge if needed, pricing was great as well Had a few issues/hiccups with the property: -Not sure if it was an issue with how I closed the shower door or not but every time one was taken the floor got completely wet -Whole place had a bit of an off putting smell at first -Little to no sound proofing so you will hear conversation/flushing of the toilets/them walking around from the upstairs tenants -adding onto the last comment, wasn’t sure if what I was hearing was them walking around upstairs or if they were actually coming down into the area I was staying in, but that happened numerous nights in a row -Got VERY hot in the bedroom for the first couple nights -The owners had to look at something in the blocked off door in the bathroom, left it open for them and came back later to surprisingly see the whole place cleaned(even the bedroom) was a tiny bit put off by that just because of the valuables i had kept in the bedroom along with my belongings

Quiet neighbourhood - Had to get two buses from Via Rail station but that was doable even though it was about 10pm when I got off train, short walk off about 200 metres to residence. Across the road from supermarket which is always handy, and a quiet neighbourhood. Kitchen facilities while basic were ok as that is one thing important to me is to be able to self cater Nothing to fault here really

And a bonus to have very nice owners ! - This basement suite is absolutely " Sweet " ! so well appointed wit an amazing big bedroom with a door to separate a nice living room . A nice little kitchenette area with a ample fridge along with water machine plates , glasses , kettle and microwave. The bathroom is 4 Stars ! There was nothing to not like about this place !

• Cindy (1/5): I didn’t stay - It was clean I was instantly greeted by a strong, chemical air freshners which caused almost instant headache and nausea. Unplugging them did not help because there is no air movement in this location. Host refused to refund and I had to seek accomodation elsewhere.

I stayed there before and my only real concern at the time was the bathroom sink tap was not installed correctly. I was pleased that has been fixed , Thank you ! Unfortunately the very comfortable queen bed barely fits between its two side walls. It's a little tricky to get in and out of bed . You pretty much have to enter and exit through the foot of the bed. This was / is not a big deal for me , really ! For a very elderly or physically challenged person this may be difficult.

• Della (10/5): Perfect - Clean, quiet, fire place, big TV, updated , big space, bed size, nicely renovated, seperate entrance with code lock, easy parking, nice toiletries, slippers, fridge , kettle, dishes. I could order food and have cutlery n dishes there. Water cooler was a nice touch! Loved the decor. Walking distance to Osborne village pubs, cafes, restaurants, grocery is 2 minutes walk. Nothing to say here.

Great place to stay Was up late for both nights and was just worried if the tv downstairs was too loud. Also, the shower door kinda fell on me one day but I put it back on the tracks for them and they were going to call the plumber to fix it after I left. 🤷‍♂️

The room is good except for the following reasons. -When using shower entire bathroom gets wet. The shower head and the shower door should be fixed. -Reception was bad. No instructions were sent to my phone on how to access the room. I had to wait for 30 minutes in the freezing weather to get into the room. -The TV In the room was useless as the instructions to get connected didn't work. -The bedroom was cramped.

• Jennifer (7/5): Clean but unnerving - Place was very clean and true to pictures. It had a fireplace for the living room and a space heater to heat the bedroom. It was very close to some nice restaurants. The host seemed frustrated with my presence. There was an automatic locking system that I failed to engage immediately upon arrival, and was greeted with a message shortly thereafter informing me I had not locked the door (even though I was present in the suite at the time). I imagine the host to have been upstairs, as I could hear someone walking about, but they never greeted me or demonstrated how to operate the lock. There is no door to lock separating the basement suite from the upstairs one-the upstairs has a door to lock, but the basement is open. I found that unsettling, esp as a solo female traveler.

• Awa (8/5): It was cool, would stay here again. - The place was nice, comfortable and actually bigger than I expected. The location is great, bus routes close by and quite few things are walking distance. The fire place was nice, enjoyed the office desk and they had a mini fan/heater in the bedroom which was great. The bathroom had someone’s personal belongings which made it a bit weird but it was alright. Overall a nice place for the price, I would surely recommend it to my friends if needed. Nothing like a huge problem but if you’re a light sleeper like myself, make sure to bring some earplugs as the upstairs tenants will wake you up 😂. I heard their conversation, them taking showers, walking and even flushing their toilets. It was a bit annoying but I guess that’s how people lives in basement.
