• Hupfer (9/5): - The pension Herrgottstal is charmingly situated in Creglingen, a town traversed by the romantic River Tauber. Just a few hundred meters away stands a church where visitors can admire a magnificent altar carved by the renowned German artist Tilman Riemenschneider. Unfortunately, throughout the three evenings of my stay, the restaurant attached to the guesthouse was closed—a place whose promising, typically Franconian menu I would have loved to sample. As a consolation, however, an excellent breakfast was served each morning, featuring a choice of egg preparations, muesli, yogurt, a variety of fresh rolls, cheese, sausage, and ham. Everything was delicious.

Die gutbürgerliche Küche des Restaurants bietet diverse Speisen zu absolut fairen Preisen an.Zum Dessert zu empfehlen: Der heiße Apfelstrudel mit Vanilleeis und Sahne. Das Bad war gut beheizt und mit Dusche und Badewanne ausgestattet. Die Matratzen waren für unseren Geschmack zu hart. Aber das ist wie gesagt Geschmacksache.

• Karin (9/5): Jederzeit gerne wieder. - Die Sonnenterrasse war hervorragend für einen tollen Tagesausklang. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Es gab jederzeit Parkplätze vor der Haustür. Die Inhaberin ist sehr freundlich.

Very good food at very reasonable price. Breakfast not buffet but plentiful, all laid out at your table.

Duscheund Badewanne! Gute Betten! Traditionelles Frühstück - gut! Abends gute Gasthausküche und lokale Weine! Essen, trinken, lustigsein - gut schlafen! Älteres von der Einrichtung wurde erhalten und gepflegt! Notwendiges wurde ersetzt oder ergänzt! Blütenweisse Vorhänge in der Stube, verdunkelung durch Jalousien sehr gut! Parkettfussboden! Es hat Charme!

Doppelte Tür zum Treppenhaus, so dass kein Lärm aus der Gaststätte zu hören war. Nur ein paar Schritte zur Altstadt. Essen im Restaurant gut und preiswert. Die nah vorbeilaufende Strasse störte bei geschlossenem Fenster überhaupt nicht. Ich würde wieder übernachten. Nichts.

Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und auch unser Hund hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut und lecker! Wir haben nichts zu meckern und kommen gerne wieder! De medicatie werd voor mij in de koelkast gelegd en de koelelementen in de vriezer zodat ik de volgende dag mijn medicatie nog steeds goed gekoeld waren. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd. Meer dan voldoende. Je tafel is gereserveerd waar het ontbijt voor je klaar staat. Jammer dat het rustdag was op dinsdag. Dan is het restaurant en terras dicht.

• Arianne (7/5): Fijn overnachtingshotel. - We hadden een grote ruimte voor onszelf, met een groot balkon. We zaten op de eerste verdieping. Heel fijn verblijf voor onze vakantie naar Oostenrijk. Tip: rij ongeveer 10km, en je komt in Rothenburg ob den Tauer. Erg leuke plaats. Fijn verblijf, zeker als overnachtingshotel. Ontbijt was lekker, vriendelijke mensen.

• Sako (8/5): Schöner Zwischenstopp - Ein sehr schöner Ort, wir waren angenehm überrascht. Wir hatten nur eine Übernachtung hier auf unserer Rückreise von Kärnten. Das Frühstück war super. Preis Leistungsverhältnis ok. Wir hatten uns aus der nahegelegenen Pizzeria etwas zu Essen besorgt. Leider fanden wir in der Wohnung kein Besteck, das war schade, aber nicht dramatisch für nur eine Übernachtung.

• Review (8/5): Old town views from the window - At the edge of the old town, and 20 minutes walk to the famous altar. Smaller place, few staff, helpful and efficient, but share your plans if in a hurry. Can imagine the bathroom will get cold during winter, but the electrical heating looked trustworthy.

• Debbie (10/5): excellent. - we really enjoyed our stay here on the Romantic Road. it’s a classic German Inn beautifully decorated, clean, spotless and airy. the host was really charming and friendly and made us most welcome, with our limited language skills she helped us through the menu and the meals were just exceptional. they clearly use good quality ingredients and all is cooked fresh, we could even hear it being prepared. our room was spotless and had everything we needed for an overnight stop. breakfast was just amazing, everything was laid out for us with meats cheese cereal eggs breakfast jams etc, just perfect. we chose this place to avoid the crazy prices of Rothenburg and it’s far more peaceful after the crowds and we will certainly use this hotel in future on our trips there. nothing
