Guest Reviews
- Ross (7/5): - Francoise, her cooking, and her willingness to chat.
The view met all expectations. Brilliant! This is no doubt due to ignorance of the area, but the arrival was unsettling to say the least. The lane that the hostel is in doesn’t have a sign on the door, there’s no visual communication to provide you with confidence that you’re in the right place. The hostel is on the 12th floor, not the 11th, and you only see the sign once you’re up there, but man, was it nerve wracking in the way up. It all disappeared though when the door opened. The place is spotless, the view is stupendous. The kitchen and living quarters has to be up there with the best I’ve ever seen for a hostel, especially with that view.
You also get the top class hospitality treatment from the staff, they’ll cook you breakfast, order you dinner, make you tea … just make sure you contribute back and help out with the dishes. Basic hostel etiquette.
So it balanced itself out. If they could put up some signage to help provide confidence to ignorant and prejudiced riddled westerners, outside and perhaps on the lane itself, then this would be a 5 star rating.

- geoffrey (10/5): Very good guest house - The guest house is friendly and clean. The view of the Giza Pyramids is special. Ahmed, Francoise and Emad made me feel welcome and satisfied all my requests. Easy to get to the Pyramids or the new Grand Egyptian Museum.

- Martyna (10/5): We won't forget the view or the warm smiles from the hotel staff. We wholeheartedly recommend it! - Ahmed, who took care of us throughout our stay, is not only an excellent guide but also a friend. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to interact with wonderful people. The atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly, and the view of the pyramids is beautiful.
- Charlotte (10/5): Fantastic view, great location and staff - All the staff were very lovely and welcoming, breakfast was amazing and the view from the room was absolutely stunning. Great location in relation to the pyramids, the grand Egyptian museum and plenty of shops at the end of the road

- Sharif (10/5): - Great group off lads running the place and owner came a few times to visit us top job
Staff couldn't do enough to make us feel home
- Luigi (10/5): Amazing experience at the guest house - Had an amazing time at the guest house. The view is breathtaking and Ahmed and Seif went above and beyond to make my experience amazing. I planned the pyramids tour and Nile boat tour with them and they took care of everything.
Highly recommended 🙂
- Marcus (10/5): Friendly staff to help guide me around! - Comfortable and good view
- Haywood (10/5): Exceptional - The customer service from Ahmed, Francois and the rest of the team was exceptional! Our room was lovely - clean, comfortable, spacious and spectacular view. Ahmed made us feel so welcomed and so safe! I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Cairo.
- Isa (9/5): I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment - I had the pleasure of staying for a few days at this charming guesthouse that overlooks the city of Giza, offering a stunning view of the pyramids. My room and the bathroom were spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was great and varied.
The staff provided a warm welcome at 2am, and I especially appreciated the assistance and attention I received from Ahmed, who speaks good English . Not to mention Françoise (from France) who stands out as the true heart of this place, taking great care of her guests and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Thank you very much;
- Husen (10/5): Exceptional - Specially Francoise, Ahmed and Saifuddin. I appreciate them. Their behavior and nature were kind and wonderful. Respectful team.
- Marcus (9/5): Superb - The view was amazing
- Richard (10/5): Trip of a lifetime! - I loved my short stay at the Giza Pyramids Guest House. The staff were amazing! Really made my trip for me. I booked tours with Ahmed who is great and visited the pyramids, quad biking as well as camel riding. The food was really nice and I enjoyed an Egyptian Starbucks to start the day! It’s a very lively place. Something always going on. Was such a fun time!
- Siniša (10/5): Great room and view - Room was great. Great view from the balcony and room. That I was in there only for one night.
- Cotes (8/5): Very good - Kind staff and great view of the pyramids
- Augusto (8/5): Very good -
- Top (8/5): Great staff and wonderful owner who treat you like family guest. Great view of the pyramids. - The bed is really good and the staff were helpful. It was like a premium bed in the UK. Awesome views of the pyramids. There is cheap food nearby and plenty of shops to buy snacks and drinks. Very nice balcony. I hurt myself in the shower and had a big bruise on my arm. The shower was not hot. I had two cold showers. the breakfast is a bit basic and premade not cooked and made freshly. Could have arranged more affordable day trips to Sakkara or Deshum
- Squires (9/5): The view! Incredible and helpful staff - Friendly staff and amazing view of the pyramids!
Emad and his team helped us plan our entire trip.
- Zoárd (10/5): Exceptional - We have spent 4 days here with my girlfriend, the view from our room was astonishing and the staff was really friendly and helpful. They arranged a perfect tour for us to Alexandria, we have visited many beautiful places during our stay, so thank you very much for everything. We would gladly return here anytime! :)
- Alexander (10/5): Excellent! - Clean, great views, lovely hospitality. Cant fault it. I couldnt stay longer 🥹
- Moustafa (9/5): Superb -
- Susie (10/5): Exceptional - Great location directly facing the pyramid, very clean room and bathroom, good WiFi service.
- Ng (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful view and wonderful staff
- Zuvele (7/5): A good budget choice. I had the feeling that they were new to the business and still working it out. - Great location, walking distance to the pyramids and sphinx. Great view. Staff organised activities for us and were generally very helpful. Very cheap.
This was an emergency booking for us, as our previous one was cancelled the night before our arrival, so I do have to say it's not what we were wanting. That said, we did enjoy our stay. The toiletries were half used and when the room was cleaned (once in the week), the bins weren't emptied. Almost everything required an extra payment - water, coffee, etc. The breakfast was good but got smaller each day (if we didn't eat something or said we didn't like it, it was removed but not replaced).
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Najma (10/5): Exceptional - Great property with the view of pyramids. Good food.
- Erin (7/5): In a town smothered in scams, on a budget, most honest affordable hotel in Giza!!!! - We are two Americans who traveled all of Egypt. Giza is unfortunately in a state of numerous hotel scams. The top tier are fine but if you are on a budget, be ready. They change the names, fill websites with fake reviews to hide the truthful ones in order to get US dollars. It's not their fault, it is who we are right now. That said, after navigating so many scams, this place was honest. It does have a nice view of the Pyramids and is affordable. If you are used to western amenities, you would need to scale that down and appreciate the cost. The staff was lovely and kind, the room was easy, it was all easy. You could probably walk to the Pyramids in about 20 minutes but Uber is awesome for travelers in Egypt. Our highest review is that we were on a budget and they were honest. That is amazing in Giza. For their honesty, they are literally one of the best affordable options in all of Giza, no joke, we did the leg work. They did show a different side with another guest from India. He accidentally burned a towel on the heater. They were tiny little towels that maybe cost 1 USD and they all harassed him to pay $30USD and made him feel unsafe. We booked this based on honesty so that was disheartening. That said, we had a wonderful respite for a perfectly affordable room that hade nice enough beds and hot water and a super kind staff. We met the owner and he was kind and friendly too. Overall, if they stay totally honest, they should always be full here as Giza is a bit of a struggle if you are trying to find some budget friendly places. They served breakfast and tea and never hustled us at all. We only saw that through another guest so all we can say is THANK YOU for being so honest and easy.
- Péter (7/5): Nice guest house if you can handle the noise - Helpful hosts, big room with comfortable bed. Very nice view. Very interesting neighborhood, if you'd like to explore the less touristy part of Cairo. It's probably a common problem here, but keep in mind that the city is very noisy even at night. The soundproofing of the room is terrible, so you can hear everything going on the street (honking, loud singing lesson from the neighboring school early morning, etc), and many times the guests in the hall and the other rooms.
It was a bit chilly for us in the room, but you get warm covers.
The breakfast was nice, but it was the same every morning.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were absolutely amazing, they helped us from the moment we arrived we couldn't have been happier with the friendly service they honestly mate the trip to Giza worth it! Very impressed we will be back next year, one of the staff helped me plan my engagement when we went to see the pyramids. It's a good price is you want local exposure this is what you'll get it's not a Hilton it has a really friendly hostile vibe but private and safe and the staff will do anything to make the stay really good and we were made to feel so welcome. Giza is very loud anywhere you go this isn't the hotels fault the goverment play prayers every few hours on loid speakers everywhere it's a good culture experience but very noises to and English family.
- Bhayat (5/5): Had a good stay despite the issues. Overall room maintenance needs to be improved - Good proximity to Pyramids Nice view of Pyramids from the Balcony Shower poor, no water on 1 day and no hot water on another day. Overall pleasant staff. Cleanliness could be improved
- Shari (10/5): I am encouraging all of my friends and family to stay here. - Ehmed and his staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Setting up tours included.
- Mary (2/5): Good view but not the experience - The room is clean and has a good view.
Francois gave me some good information and I wished I talked to her more instead. However, I don’t think I would return here. Here is why:
1. we booked two tours+ cars, then later found out we were overcharged. So make sure you negotiate and we didn’t do a good job. The other guests in the same guesthouse are offered a better price than we do. Well, we thought maybe that means better service. We also find that the recommendation they gave may not really suits your need or time best, but more like a chance to get more money from you. So make sure you do the research and check details online before you take what you are told for granted and get misled. Also, the cars were never on time, expect at least 30 mins delay.
2. Ahmed offered a walk in Giaz area, he ended up taking us to the souvenir stores which made me super uncomfortable. They say it is no pressure but you know that is a typical scam many tour guides use. That was a waste of time and a shitty feeling at the end of the day. If I knew it beforehand we would not go. We booked a half-day car (again overcharged) before we got to the airport to visit the museum, the driver was trying to exchange a scratched dollar bill with us and telling us he needs money. So if you think paying a hotel pickup through the guest house would save you hassles, I recommend you to think about it again.
3. They forgot to give us breakfast twice after we said what time we need it before our tours and we only stayed for two nights! So forgot 100%.
4. Every time we met Emed, he tried to sell tours to us and we found that uncomfortable, it did not stop easily even though we said no nicely. So be sure about what you want and be firm about it.
Again, this is just my experience and feeling. You make your own judgment. And have a good trip!
- Elzbieta (10/5): Cheap stay with great views - All was good, excellent staff,
- 玲 (8/5): Get employees to reduce verbal harassment of women - Good hygiene, 15 minutes walk from the pyramids, bad breakfast coffee, friendly staff In the evening, the staff chat until late, and it is very loud after 12 o 'clock, and the rooms on the block are noisy. The location of the hotel did not tell me which floor the hotel is on in the building, I need to call to confirm.
- Fedele (9/5): Absolutely amazing. - Such a lovely hotel. Very close to pyramids with an amazing view. Breakfast was simple but delicious. The hotel staff is excellent- so warm & kind. Very responsive before arriving! I would stay here again!
- Anonymous (7/5): If you want the true Egyptian experience and hospitality, you will get it here. The staff go out of their way to to make - Stunning views, clean and tidy, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Lack of outdoor facilities. The property was difficult to find even for the taxi drivers.
- F. (10/5): I was afraid as a solo traveler about how this booking was going to come up. However I got a big surprise as I saw the p - How high it was and the beautiful views to the giza pyramids -
- Mohammed (10/5): Great - The view is amazing.
Rooms clean and big
Good beds
Yusuf top service !
- Paul (8/5): Great staff -
- Suprabha (7/5): Good -
- Alfredo (7/5): Good - Amazing View and great support by Ahmed
- Axel (9/5): Great value money, amazing view. Overall great stay in Cairo - The view of the pyramids was stunning. Breakfast was very nice. Staff was very friendly. Impressive value for money. Unable to provde ironboard when requested, sketchy road with no clear signs that you have arrvied at the property. Towels and toilete paper were not given on arival.
- Adrian (9/5): Hope to be back here again sometime - Giza Pyramids View Guesthouse exceeded our expectations. It was spacious and soooo clean. This was really noticed and appreciated compared to other places we stayed in Egypt. It was a little further from the pyramids than some others, but you could easily walk. It had the most amazing views (as the name suggests). Just make sure you have the exact name and address handy for the taxi driver. You may end up dropped off at a very similar sounding guesthouse.
I would definitely stay here again (and again and again….). Nothing at all. But if I had to suggest a slight improvement. Larger towels and a kettle in the room (but everywhere we stayed in Egypt didn’t have this).
- Mihail (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karla (10/5): Epic view and wonderful hospitality in Giza - We were thrilled with our pyramid view room at this exceptional guest house. The family that runs it are extremely obliging and professional at providing everything a guest may need. We had them change our money and they got an excellent rate for us. The breakfast was also very good — probably the best tasting fresh-made felafel we had in Egypt (lots of coriander). One of the sons took some fabulous photos for us from the balcony at sunset. Waking up to the view of the pyramid peaks in the pastel light of dawn right from our room was unforgettable, but equally we enjoyed the social space and similar view on the communal balcony. We ordered supper our first night to eat out there (barbecue chicken, hawawshi, kofta, rice pudding and Turkish coffee — all excellent) while watching the sunset — the evening call to prayer sounding from all over the city — followed by the pyramids’ sound and light show. Probably we should have done this the second night too as walking the surrounding streets, while safe enough, is not that pleasant (busy, littered and mostly koshary houses and sheesha cafes with Arabic only menus — not many restaurants with more varied fare). The guest house is in an apartment building on the 11th floor and is thankfully served by a lift. Finding it and gaining access was a bit of a challenge initially. Be sure to get precise instructions for where to go once inside the building. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great, the wifi serviceable and everything very clean and quiet enough for sleeping. The only disappointment was perhaps the towel which was not the luxurious Egyptian cotton the country is famed for. We booked two nights at the Giza View guesthouse and two nights at another place in Cairo which was more proximate for the other things we wanted to see in the capital, but once we got to the Giza View we didn’t want to leave! And we can’t wait to go back!! Highly, highly recommended! Nothing
- Moataz (3/5): Very bad I didn't like it - Only the view at reception balcony which wasn't available at room which I stayed in 1-the king bed was too small
2-breakfast was very poor
3-hotel location is not good its located on very small street hard to reach
4-it's not consider a hotel at all it's only a duplex flat with separated rooms
- Darshana (9/5): Superb -
- Gigi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colleen (7/5): It’s good for a place to stay in between trips. - The staff (I think Ahmed). The view of the pyramids. It was hard to find.
- Lokus21 (10/5): Exceptional - Giza's view. Clean. Bed. Confortable. Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): Loved this place. - Great place, great location, great people, great food, great coffee, comfortable beds, stunning view of Giza Plateau. I stayed here for a month and it felt like my second home. Thank you all for a special time. Pasha ❤️
- Josipa (10/5): Exceptional - Great view, great hosts! The room was clean, with comfy beds and pyramid view. Hosts are really kind!
- Alan (7/5): Good - How helpfully the staff are
- Sunny (8/5): Best place to stay for view of pyramids and friendly staff! - All the staff were great and helpful. Compliments to Tarek our driver, Emad, Ahmed, Hanni & Francoise. The view of the pyramids from my room and balcony were amazing! Maybe a bit larger portion for breakfast would be nice, but it was quite tasty! No real complaints about this place!
- Anonymous (10/5): A very good guest house with clean, tidy, good breakfast and the most helpful stuff possible. The staff at this guestho - After a long journey, arriving in Cairo, approximately 3:30 am we fell fell to a taxi scam?. After 2 1/2 hours in a taxiWhere the doors were locked) we eventually got the driver to return us to the airport. On arrival back at the airport, after what I can only express was a terrifying, 2 1/2 hour journey., we were greeted by the boss of the taxi company and the official Egyptian tourist information lady Madonna.
Madonna proceeded to inform us that the guest house that we booked was in a very dangerous area, that we would be unsafe and would only be able to leave our clothes in the room whilst out and about.
Madonna then proceeded to pressure us not to say our Guest house, but to book another hotel with her, that would be safe.
She then proceeded to take us with the boss of the above mentioned taxi firm , to a hotel that she clearly had commission on. on arrival at this hotel we were ushered to have breakfast was, they’ve got a room ready first view. The room was dirty, we felt and safe, as there was an argument between two men in the next room. we then contacted our Guest house that we have booked. To our delight, the owner offered to send a car and collect us for us to go and view our original room. whilst waiting for our car to arrive, I proceeded to tell Madonna that the room she had offered us was a very poor quality and we had made arrangements with our guest house for them to collect us and would require a refund that we had to pay upfront for the grubby hotel room. Madonna then proceeded to tell me in order to get a refund on that room. Both her and I would have to go in front of the government to see if they granted me a refund.. I called her bluff and said yes, I was happy to go in front of the government. Madonna then proceeded to get an on the spot refund for me, -$30 for the breakfast. I said the breakfast wasn’t worth $30 and I was only prepared to pay 10, I was then refunded $20.
- Rui (10/5): Highly recommended :) - We had fantastic 2 nights at Giza Pyramids View Guest House. Emad was very responsive even before check-in. I asked him via WhatsApp what kind of bath amenities would be provided, and h
e replied promptly and gave me the answer: body soap and shampoo. Emad came down to the street to pick us up and dealt with my Uber driver who tried to charge us extra money. All of the guest house crews are gentle and honest, so that we could felt safe and secure. They were also great with kids, and played a lot with my two daughters. The room is spacious, clean and extremely affordable. Pyramids view from the room and two balcony are very beautiful, especially in the evening around sunset. Morning time can be too foggy to see the view, at least in the mid-December. Instead, we enjoyed watching cute kids having morning ceremony in the elementary school just next door. As you can see from other reviews, only thing to keep in mind is water pressure of the shower, which is understandably not super strong for being on the 11th floor.
- Hatcher (8/5): Very good -
- Mohamed (9/5): Superb -
- Aus (9/5): Superb -
- Belenlopa (9/5): Superb - Super nice view of the pyramids and nice people working there ! We feel really good !
- David (10/5): Great stay and wouldn’t think to stay anywhere else if I return - The guest house is a perfect stay to visit the pyramids and other great things Giza and Cairo have to offer. the owners and workers at the guest house are so helpful and friendly and make you feel at home! the only negative is taxi drivers seemed to find it slightly difficult to find the property, we had it on 2 occasions. for me personally the Sat Nav takes you to the road and it is sign posted so not really a fault of the guest house.
- Gil (7/5): Good - no key to get in. You need to ask the staff to get in.
no wifi in the room
- Kinga (8/5): Short but nice stay in Giza. - Good place for you to stay, with the pretty view to pyramids. Very clean and quiet (inside the hotel). Outside big traffic almost all day and night, but like everywhere in Cairo. Very friendly and helpful staff:) Assisted during our late check in and early leaving. Tasty breakfast and tea/coffee included. Needed some plastic/foil curtain in the bathroom, because after shower all space is vet. You cannot use the elevator, if somebody from the staff is not there (some additional secure). You have to call/text/whatsup them, so they can pick you up or go down with you ;)
- Balasundaram (10/5): Lovely stay at a welcoming place with a great host! - Loved the view of the pyramids from the property and the hospitality of the host. The host Mr. Emaad was very welcoming. He arranged for transport from the airport for a very reasonable amount. The driver waited patiently in the airport though our flight was delayed by a couple of hours. Because we used the arranged transport, we didn't have trouble finding the property. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was lovely to see the pyramids from the bed. The property had free wifi too :) The staff were very helpful. Upon request, Mr.Emaad arranged a vegetarian dinner for us. He also booked us on a lovely day sightseeing trip. The Egypt holiday couldn't have started better. Would love to come back! --
- Ihab (8/5): Fair and simple - Location was good, breakfast was acceptable. Parking for car and breakfast
- Christian (9/5): Superb - Very nice place, very clean, amazing view and nice big rooms. The location is very good and the people are very friendly. I missed some eggs and ful/foul for breakfast, but it was absolutely ok.
- Mohammed (10/5): AMAZING! - surprisingly very good! Amazing facility & excellent service! The owner and staff really went out there way to help me everything was amazing!
- Andrea (10/5): Genuine and heart warming stay with the BEST space ever! - Without a doubt, this guest house gets all the gold platinum stars in my book. My experience and stay was everything plus way more than I could have imagined. I honestly felt and will always feel so blessed that my travels brought this place into my life. My room was very comfortable and clean - great hot working shower and AC was excellent. Location is in a very safe area. Now the views - wow...a complete dream come true to wake up and see the sun rise over the wonders of world. The view of the pyramids from this guest house is so beautiful, that it's powerful and gave me strong energy and inspiration to my life (for real, this view of the pyramids touched my soul forever). Every sunset and sunrise was God given magic - the best view you will find for the pyramids in Giza. However the greatest impact for me during my stay was from the owner and his team. Emad and Ahmed went out and beyond to make sure I was taking the best and most authentic tours. Their tour guide Tarek is another great gem to this experience. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and amazing personality of a guy. I really enjoyed learning about Giza from him!! As a solo female traveler, I never felt unsafe or hassled. Emad is very knowledgeable on what to do and see, listen to him and follow his suggestions for tours and activities. His prices are very fair and you will receive top quality experiences! Highlight of my life was the camel ride through the Sahara Desert with Abdallah! Very kind and genuine people, it's really true when you read how they treat you like family and not like clients. That's genuine and something you take with you forever. Thank you again for making this my most memorable trip yet! I know you'll keep making others smile on their journey here and I look forward to next time 🙌 That my trip eventually ended! But I will be back!
- Marie-laure (10/5): Situation on the site. Roof top view. Friendly atmosphere. - Really, thanks too much for your welcome, your assistance and all good services you provide to us. The staff is very friendly and professional. They help us in our organisation day by day with taxis, visits... . The view is just Splendid directly on the pyramids. We felt like at home. We appreciated the Amazing terrasse on the top. The egyptian breakfast is good. We've met some interesting travellers there ans everybody shared there experiences in the salon. We recomand these place and we will Côme back.

- Hannah (10/5): We enjoyed them so much because we got the true Egyptian, Local experience. We would have not been able to experience th - The staff was exceptional and the best hospitality I have ever received. The staff stayed at my disposal and did everything and anything I wanted. I felt like a true Egyptian princess!
I usually go into trips already having an itinerary of things booked but for this trip nothing was booked other than staying at Guest House. You truly don't need anything booked if you stay with them because they will help you choose what things to do. It was one of the best easy going trips having everything we needed at the guest house, food, comfort, tours, laughs. etc! The driver was so genuine and kind all through out the 6 days we where there. It was so easy for us to treat the staff as my own friends. The hospitality in the home was the best we have ever received, therefore will most definitely return! It was amazing to have anything at our convenience and no hassles booking with other people. The house not only provides comfort, but has amazing views, delicious food, lots of bottled water, and beautiful breakfasts. nothing everything was perfect!
