- Pereira (7/5): - Ficámos no quarto 203.
- Rachel (10/5): Homey hostel - Truly such a lovely and homey hostel. They let us check in early after an overnight bus which was amazing! The kitchen facilities and communal areas are wonderful and the bunk beds are really comfortable. The staff are really lovely - especially Andre who did a banana leaf handicraft workshop for us one night which was very cool. Thank you for your kindness! Definitely recommend this stay - it’s also close walking distance to central areas Nothing

- Ruth (9/5): - The staff were lovely and really welcoming. They were there for any advice or question I had. The room appears basic in the picture but the beds were so comfortable and there was lots of storage by my bed. Well situated and really good value for money. Definitely would return Not the most social hostel but seems to be quiet season everywhere so not the fault of the hostel. There were lovely chill areas and definitely was welcoming as a solo traveler!

- Arthur (9/5): Superb -
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional - Super comfortable room with lots of space and a smart RV. The shower was nice and hot and everything felt super cozy.
Really nice and welcoming team of volunteers as well, one of my favourite hostels on the trip!
- Moemi (10/5): Exceptional - They all are so lovely!
I stayed only 2 nights but I really wanna come back again. nothing
- Kamil (10/5): Exceptional - The people here are amazing!
- Jarred (7/5): Comfortable stay in Villa de Leyva - Very welcoming environment, with friendly staff/volunteers, and two cute doggies. The bedroom was large enough, with the hammock on the balcony a welcome touch. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was hot and had good pressure. Towels are only provided in the high season for some reason.
- Ivan (9/5): Superb -
- Victoria (10/5): Best hostel in Villa de Leyva - We had a lovely stay at this hostel in Villa de Leyva. It is in a great location, a 10 minute walk to the main plaza. The hostel itself is the cleanest and most spacious we have stayed in, so far in Colombia. The kitchen offers everything you need for basic cooking. The staff at the hostel were friendly and very helpful. We hired bikes from the hostel so we could explore the perimeter of Villa De Leyva. This was a great amenity to have. The hostel staff also arranged for a morning walk up the mountain so we could get a good view point of Villa De Leyva.
Free coffee in the mornings was an added bonus! 😜 No complaints, worth every penny. Thank you!
- Kevin (6/5): Pleasant - Very clean. The staff were always busying themselves with cleaning. Spacious. It was fine but the name is misleading. It gives the impression of a family run hostel and that it will have a real hands on, welcoming vibe. It’s not, it’s run by volunteers who do what they need to do.
- Myriam (9/5): Superb -
- Parag (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional -
- B (7/5): Good -
- Mario (10/5): Exceptional - The staff is fantastic
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Good relaxing place and amazing value for money. Very clean. Some staff could be more welcoming and nice. Some other were very good.
- Annabell (10/5): Exceptional - The hostal was very exceptional! The staff is so warm-hearted and lovely, the breakfast was gorgeous and the room I booked was fantastic! It was such a good match that I even exceeded my stay. The WIFI works well (also in the room) so it’s a good space to do some remote work. The hostal is very close to the Center so it’s easy to get around. Don’t look for any other hostal - that one is the best!!! ☺️☺️☺️
- Rhodina (8/5): Cheap and cheerful (except for the volunteer staff) - The location is very close to the central square and the bus station.
The included breakfast is perfect.
Employed staff are cheerful and helpful.
Kitchen is well stocked with cooking and eating utensils.
Very social during the evening, but very respectful of quiet hours. Wifi was available only in the common area of the hostel for the majority of the time.
Cold water shower.
Volunteer staff were not friendly &/or helpful.
We did not get the room we had booked as per the photo on booking.com
- Davide (8/5): Great place where to stay - Very nice common areas, very clean and safe. Good vibes.
Near to the bus station and town center.
Great prices (among the cheapest in Villa de Leyva). At 15 they told me the room would be ready in 30 minutes. I waited 1 hour and nothing, so I went for a walk. If I knew, I would have gone before instead of waiting.
The upper bunk bed mattress is not comfortable. No electric outlet in the room (or at least not for the upper bunk beds). Didn't receive any towel.
- Cristian (9/5): Wonderful place with excellent customer service, parking and recreation area. - They did not refund the deposit of the keys. Maybe it was just an oversight on the part of the staff.
- Davecabio (8/5): Nice place en Villa de Leyva - Friendly staff, good kitchen, quiet chill space, lovely dog. A bit too little in the common area.
- Bart-jan (9/5): Superb - Staff is ectremely friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the arepa making 'course' It can be a bit noisy in the morning when people are using the kitchen
- Cheuk (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing stay, host was really nice and taught us to make arepas together nothing
- Lara (7/5): Good - Social vibes were nice. It was not very clean in my opinion.
- Cristian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lina (8/5): Nice and big - Big, nice areas When I book I saw the room with balcony and hammock but it was other one. The description was good but the photo isn't but anyway it's a nice place
- Smilingcecil (9/5): Superb - I stayed in the hostel only one night but I really appreciated the place. The staff is very kind and friendly. Although I didn't use it, the kitchen is large and well stocked. The bathroom is the dormitory, very convenient. The mood was relaxing and quite but there weren't many guests at that time.
- Jing (7/5): Good - the staff are super nice! comfortable public relaxing area. room space is a little bit small. hostel address on the website is not correct.
- Manon (10/5): Very cool place - The location near the center and the bus terminal
Very clean and quiet
Comfortable bunk bed
Super fresh breakfast
The kindness of the staff (a lot of volunteers so it might change) Nothing
- Gabriele (9/5): Nice hostel with a great vibe - Very friendly staff. Quiet location and close to bus stop and town. Good shower. Nice common area Kitchen could be cleaner
- Alvaro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - very nice and large room, cool vibe in hostel, yummy breakfast
- Lien (7/5): Good - Cosy hostel, with shared spaces, hammocks, games...
Walking distance to the centre
Hammock in the room
Friendly dog - Several hairs on my pillow
- no towels
- we checked in late, because we had problems with the buses. We tried to contact them and I got the message: hi . We work just until 10 pm. If u arrrive after that time anyone will be in the reception
At night, there was no problem at all. We paid for our stay and got the keys.
Next day, they said we had to pay COP 15000 more for the late check-in. Felt strange that they didn't mention this immediately.
- Thibaut (8/5): Very good -
- Jen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - All the staff were super helpful and friendly, thanks guys! The shower was also the best shower in Colombia 😁
- Mona (7/5): Good -
- Lorenzo (3/5): The staff is friendly and helpful and the wifi is good. Good things are done. Pictures are quite misleading. Toilets are -
- Amir (10/5): Exceptional - Great place enjoyed my time!
- Esmé (8/5): Great stay for such a price! - Stayed one night, staff was very friendly. There is a big kitchen you can use. Beds care comfortable. Livingroom and veranda very nice. Lockers are availible. The rooms were small, a bit cramped with 3 bunkbeds
The fridge needs a cleaning.
Bathroom could have been a little cleaner
- Katey88 (6/5): Cheap but not a comfy dorm - Staff was very kind. Small dorm, you basically had no space for even turning around let alone for the bagpacks. Location is a bit further from town center. The kitchen was a mess when I arrived.
- Joris (6/5): Not for us. - Good shower, although not clean.
Breakfast is good, coffee isn't of the best quality.
Expect Saturday night the price is low, really low for a private room. This is BY far the noisiest place we ever been, noise until midnight, during the night people loudly talking , no consideration for others, staff starts at 6:30 preparing loudly talking, slamming cupboards, music starts at 8 sleeping in , not an option. Toilet isn't cleaned often. Mattresses of the 2 private rooms are gone, tired and saggy. WiFi is so so. First night in a private room, still lots of long hair in the shower sink, hair from shaving in the sink. Common area is scruffy. Staff don't speak or don't make an effort if you can't speak spanish. Didnt feel welcome at all. We travelled in South America for 3,5 months. This is in the top 5 worst places.
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Juan (9/5): the pople that you meet there is great, the attention and the family enviroment is amazing - It was great and cheap, I really like the host and was and excellent cooker it was a little far away but villa deleyva is really small so it is okay
- Ian (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jannie (8/5): Very good - Nice hostel. Good beds in the dorm with curtains and a good kitchen. Very clean and friendly staff.
- Cas (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (7/5): Good - Shower is really good. The room is too small for 3 bulk beds, they should use the space with only 4. You cannot move inside. The toilet wasn't clean, they asked to use a flip flop inside, but they don't provide one, not everyone traveled with flip flops for short trips. This time I had one, but would not buy one just because they ask it. Is a hostel, they say it is a shared kitchen but you cannot use it before 11am. Or you buy from them or need to go out for breakfast. I asked for information about the bus to San Gil and the receptionist barely looked at me. I have stayed at different hostels in villa de Leyva and they are really informed about touristic information. Expensive If you compare with others much better.
- Pavlopavlin (8/5): Very good -
- Saki (8/5): Very good - Clean, nice staff You can hear all noise from living room.
Bed sink too much.
- Neta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Traveller9213 (4/5): Bad - The shower was big and there was hot water
Good amount of communal space which well maintained The room was tiny and should not have 3 bunk beds there ie 6 single beds, it's a room just enough for 4 maximum. It was so crammed and stuffy you were literally breathing in other people's farts. There were 2 beds (single) that were shared by 2 people, making a total of 8 people in a tiny tiny room. It was really bad.
Only 2 bathrooms available.
Didn't get an family sense to the place.
- Julian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (8/5): Very good -
- Caroline (8/5): Amazing stay - location is perfect, extra clean hostel, amazing staff, delicious and cheap breakfast, clean and spacious showers the beds are ok but the dorms could be a bit more spacious but in general it’s an amazing price-quality service
- Sahar (8/5): Very good -
- Mar (10/5): Nice stay in Villa de Leiva - A hostel that feels like being in a home. Very nice staff and facilities.
