Je suis restée 2 nuits supplémentaires pour profiter de ce petit paradis. Le confort des matelas, les douches sont très bien aussi. Le personnel est adorable et ultra efficace. Viajé sola, pero nunca me sentí así… este hotel en San Rafael tiene una paz que lo llena todo. La atención del personal fue increíble, siempre atentos, amables, en especial la de Cami, una energía que hace que uno se sienta como en casa. La comida simplemente deliciosa. Las instalaciones confortables, limpias y hermosas. Gracias por su atencion. Espero volver pronto. Que no pude quedarme mas tiempo

• Carlosmonsalvejr (10/5): Best place quality/confort/price in San Rafael - Absolutamente todo, el lugar superó nuestras expectativas, si quieres un lugar tranquilo, limpio, rodeado de naturaleza, con deliciosas opciones para comer y el sonido del río mientras duermes, este es el lugar. Buen internet, acceso a pasos de la vía principal, cerca del pueblo y la energía del lugar más el ambiente que han generado por el staff, buena música en el bar, baños organizados, camas súper cómodas, hacen del lugar un sitio perfecto para desconectar y recargar. Gracias Adri, Cami y a las chicas de la cocina. Las mejores vibras para ustedes. Volveremos 💚

• Olivia (10/5): - Wow. One of the most amazing places I've ever stayed in. Beautifully built, right in the middle of nature and peaceful despite being just off the road (so you can easily get a bus or taxi there). The place is a bit below the road and it's very quiet, the only sound is the rushing of the river which the property leads to. We took the cabin with a leaf roof and it was super comfortable, lovely bed, nicely designed, beautiful views over the hills/forest from the balcony and the bathroom. Food: fantastic. Varied, fresh, very tasty and reasonable prices. Varied drinks menu. The best thing though was the family that runs black pearl, and the staff and volunteers - kind, attentive and interesting. The owners have a little toddler who took our toddler on a tour of the vegetable garden. It was just totally perfect, I couldn't recommend it enough!

La comida es saludable y de buen sabor. El personal estuvo muy atento de satisfacer mis necesidades. Fui sola sin ningún inconveniente.

• Luis Garcia (10/5): Un alojamiento encantador - El lugar es un refugio natural super hermoso y tranquilo con un rio hermoso como patio. Me encanto este alojamiento y lo recomiendo mucho. Me hopede por tres noches y al final tenia ganas de quedarme por un mes. La zona de San rafael tiene muchos rios, cascadas y charcos cristalinos por todos lados, tuve la oportunidad de conocer algunos y me encantaron. Algun dia volvere por mas dias para completar los rios y senderos. mas opcion en el menu de comida del Restaurante. Soy Carnivoro, jajajajja

Puedes ver colibrís y micos mientras desayunas, para otra personas no sé, para mí ha sido algo especial. Es un espacio al que tengo que volver seguro.

Les espaces communs sont agréables et bien entretenus, parfaits pour se détendre. Le menu gagnerait à être un peu plus diversifié.
• Juliana (10/5): - Me hospedé en una de las habitaciones compartidas y lo recomiendo a viajeros y familias que buscan estar en un espacio único, seguro, limpio y con todas las comodidades. Este lugar realmente est en sintonia con la naturaleza! Es especial porque tiene Alma. Se nota que todo está cuidado con intención y amor por los detalles. El diseño en bambú me pareció muy armonioso y coherente con lo sostenible. 🎋 Los espacios compartidos son tranquilos y acogedores. La cama super cómoda y los amaneceres son imperdibles... aire puro, vista a la montaña, el sonido del río y las aves. El agua caliente funcionó perfecto, los baños siempre estaban limpios y bien dotados. El río está a menos de un minuto… y es precioso! Me gustó mucho sentir que Adrián y su equipo se ocupan genuinamente del bienestar de sus huéspedes. Hice muy buenos amigos aquí y es que todo invita a relajarse y abrirse para conectar mejor con la naturaleza (y además a sorprenderse con los sabores increíbles de cada plato del menú!! 🤯💯🤘🏼) La Perla Negra es mi tesoro escondido favorito en San Rafael. Es imposible no querer regresar! Gracias por crear este lugar 🌿

Y 5 estrellas a la sazón, todo delicioso, además tener acceso al río en una zona completamente privada estuvo genial. Mención honorífica a Kira, la alarma y consentida del Hostel, aunque Canela no se queda atrás. NA.

Our tent/cabin got quite hot and the only way to ventilate it was to keep the door flaps open, but this meant we got devoured by bugs!
• Camilo (10/5): Nice ecohostel - It is a beautiful location on a mountain slope with access to a river. The bathroom is very clean and it has warmwater! It is nice to see all their pets (including the little ducks in the duckpond and Paola the horse), wild birds and monkeys around the place. It has a good restaurant. None.

• Katharina (10/5): Exceptional - A gem! I stayed in one of the small huts: super comfy bed, super clean, enough power sockets and lights. And amazing to sleep to the sounds of nature and the nearby river. The location is super nice, including the company of the horse, dogs and ducks. The staff was very friendly, and they have a list of activities around the hostel, but you can also chill out in one of the hammocks or chill in the river next to the hostel. And the food was one of the best veggie/vegan options I had on my whole trip! Only negative: needed to head back to Medellín, would have wanted to stay 2-3 more nights longer

Stayed for 2 nights but more would have been excellent - best breakfasts we’ve had on our travels - hosts so friendly - hearing the river, frogs and crickets to go to sleep was bliss. No traffic noise - cabins are small but comfortable. The best night’s sleep we’d had in a while (new mattresses, comfortable temperature etc) - Wifi worked well - communal area is really nice to relax in - lots of walks, rivers and waterfalls to explore locally. We went tubing too which would recommend - showers and toilets were really high quality (hot water even!). The best we’d used in quite a while which is impressive considering it is quite remote

• Sierra (10/5): Beattiful views and the best falafel - The property was beautiful and the owners were very kind. It is very close to a river which was a very nice escape from the city. We loved that the also had games to relax and enjoy quality time with a beautiful view. The food was also delicious!! The only downside was that we were unable to pay through booking or by card at all. We had to make a transfer by bancolombia or pay via pay pal. Luckily part of our group was already in Colombia and was able to do the deposit. Otherwise, if traveling from a country outside of Colombia you may have to pay some foreign transaction fees.

We got the directions and important notes over whatssapp. The shower that we took after a rainy day was the best shower ever! We came by motorcycle from medellin and Adrian informed us very well about the roads and it’s condition. We could park the bike next to the restaurant area. Just one of the best places I have ever been.

• Victor (10/5): Remote and beautiful getaway - Remote and beautiful location next to the river. The fish for lunch and the breakfast bowl were great. The cabin was a great place to rest even with thunder roaring half of the night.

• Jane (9/5): Lovely hostal in an amazing area - This place is in a beautiful location. It's so wonderfully peaceful. The rooms are built extremely well & nicely designed. There are several good places to visit nearby. I did a great hike (wear long trousers) & ended up at an amazing waterfall with a pool where you can swim. The staff are really friendly & helpful. Try the tilapia & the brownie - they're great. If, like me, you're a light sleeper, take eat plugs as the river is loud.
