• Anthony (4/5): Don't waste your money, avoid! - The location and the proximity to everything else Where do I start? The property itself is not bad actually however, the customer service, the facility & the internet, all poor! Long story short: the internet is unreliable, the hot water never worked & even after I raised this issue (multiple times) with the management, no action was taken at all. I would recommend not to waste your money.

Pude dejar mis cosas antes del check in, y me avisaron cuando estaba la habitación antes de la hora de ingreso. La ubicación es perfecta, ya que a pocos metros hay un subte, tiendas y mercados. La Brick line comienza en la puerta literal. Spitalfields market a unas cuadras Debes solicitar la limpieza de la habitación que lo realizan sin ningún inconveniente y al día siguiente. • Emma (2/5): Hôtel catastrophique - L’emplacement. Alors tout d’abord nous avons rencontré de nombreux problèmes avec la porte de la salle de bain qui ne s’ouvraient pas toujours, très agréable quand on souhaite aller aux toilettes en pleine nuit ? Avec nos affaires de toilettes coincées dedans évidemment. Nous avons eu de l’eau froide en plus les premières nuits. L’hôtel est très difficile à contacter, enfin l’hôtel si on peut appeler ça comme ça ? Quand j’ai tenté d’appeler on me raccrochait au nez, ils ont fini par répondre à mes mails une fois que j’ai contacté Booking… Il y avait une alarme qui sonnait en continu nuit et jour. J’ai mentionné le problème mais rien n’a été fait. La chambre était sale, il n’y a pas de ménage de fait c’est en supplément visiblement. Vous avez accès à un rouleau de papier toilette également, un seul. Les lampes ne marchaient pas toutes dans la chambre, de même pour les prises, il y avaient des soucis de tension (fonctionne une fois sur 15). Bref je passe la literie et le bruit car cela était mentionné. Je crois que c’est le pire  « hôtel »que j’ai pu faire. Je vous invite à consulter les notes sur d’autres sites qui semblent refléter davantage l’hôtel.
• Brian Hokke (8/5): super leuke buurt, goede lokatie - Er is een gedeelde keuken met een koffiezet apparaat en een waterkoker. Ik had een koelkast op de kamer. En als je geen zin hebt om zelf ontbijt te maken om de hoek zit een Pret Manger voor als je weinig budget hebt maar ook genoeg leuke ontbijt tentjes verderop in de straat. Keuken is niet heel volledig, er zijn niet veel grote theemokken. Er is wel bestek maar er ontbreekt veel. Er is ook geen kookplaat of pannen dus koken zit er niet in.
• rubi (6/5): Muchísimo ruido, ojo a quien no esté acostumbrado a dormir con muy buenos tapones - La ubicación, muy limpio y cama cómoda Muchísimo ruido, tenía por suerte tapones de 39db y sí dormí bien, pero sin ellos sería imposible, en el hotel te dejan en la cama tb tapones pero claramente tienen que aislar mejor las ventanas, por este motivo no lo recomendaría a nadie.

• Jonas Janek (8/5): Preisleistung super! - Super Lage. Einige Pubs fußläufig in der nähe. ÖPNV Anbindung super! Ich persönlich fand die Kopfkissen sehr unbequem. Das ist aber Person abhängig. Typisch Englisch nur eine Decke für zwei Personen. Aber hier eher kein negativer Punkt da, wie gesagt es typisch ist.

• Alexander (1/5): Was not great value for money on this occasion - I love the property for its location and its easiness to check and out There was building work going on and the sound of drilling started from 7am in the morning that kept us up and there is now a smell which overwhelmed the bedroom. We had to find alternative accommodation for the second night as we couldn’t sleep the first night.
• ΤΑΤΙΑΝΑ (7/5): Κάλυψε τις προσδοκίες μου. - Είναι σε πολύ ωραία περιοχή και είναι μοντέρνο και έχει όλα τα απαραίτητα. Το προσωπικό σε εξυπηρετεί αρκεί να στείλεις μήνυμα καθημερινές γενικά τα Σαββατοκύριακα είναι λίγο πιο δύσκολο να τους βρεις. Ωστόσο μας κάλυψαν όλες τις ανάγκες και υπήρχε και δυνατότητα να μας κρατήσουν τις βαλίτσες μετά το check out. Θα ήθελα ίσως να υπήρχε προσωπικό καθαρισμού κάποιες μέρες έτσι ώστε να ανανεωθούν οι πετσέτες, να αλλαχτούν τα σκουπίδια κτλ
• Jefferson (5/5): - L’accès à une cuisine partagée. La réactivité et la gentillesse de la personne qui gère l’hôtel. Le quartier est très bruyant le week-end. Impossible de dormir avant 2h du matin surtout pour les chambres sur rue. La propreté n’est pas excellente, j’ai même reçu la visite d’une petite souris dans ma chambre.

• Paul (1/5): Disgusting four pronged check in process needing photo ID and hidden deposit costs or don't get in! - The shower was good. The bed comfy. Plenty of towels. This was the worst experience I've ever had and the first poor review I've ever been angry and disgusted enough to write. There was a four-pronged verification process before you were given access to the codes to get in. This included having to upload photo ID of driving licence or passport which was is only stipulated at the bottom of the booking.com page under 'house rules' and 'the fine print', THEN, finally either you pay £180 refundable deposit (but not back in your bank for 7 days) OR a non refundable fee of £19. The £19 was also not stipulated beforehand. If I had not paid one of these and/or not had photo ID you DO NOT gain access to the codes, I would have been left outside on the street at 11.00pm, having already paid my £100 and no doubt NOT have got my money back. I thought I had no ID and so called a number and emailed repeatedly where they boasted 'quick replies. No-one did. Even the courtesy of replying within 24 hours? No, nothing. I was so lucky that I found a photo of my driving license on my phone/ Awful, awful experience. And conning you out of money with these hidden costs that you have to pay or you are not let in. This should be illegal and they should be ashamed of the process.
• Little Spain (10/5): Perfect stay in Shoreditch - Fantastic Shoreditch location in the heart of everything, yet still comfortable and well organised. The overall experience felt perfect, with great attention to detail. Solange was exceptional which made everything stress-free.

The door was not closing properly and you had to squeeze to sit in the toilet… the smell in the corridor on the ground flour was awful, smelled like mold and the room on the third floor had a heavy smell as well…overall was not worth the money and it is very uncomfortable for a couple …

• Ivett (1/5): Egészségre ártalmas, penészes szoba és szándékos félretájékoztatás - SENKINEK NEM AJÁNLOM!!! - A szállás elhelyezkedése jó. Gyorsan elérhetőek a tömegközlekedési eszközök. A szállásadó képei abszolút nem felelnek meg a valóságnak. A szobába érve egy óriási beázás volt a falon, ami már helyenként penészedett is, ami már nem csak esztétikai hiba, hanem egészségügyi kockázat is!!!! Ezt jeleztem a szállásadónak azonnal, de a reakció idő nevetséges volt, és azt éreztem, hogy a problémát igazából nem is szeretnék megoldani és csak az időhúzás megy a részükről. Fix és szoros programtervem volt a nyaralás minden napjára és valahogy mindig úgy jött a válasz, mikor már a városban tartózkodtam (úgy vélem direkt, hiszen tudják, hogy a turisták nem délután fognak a programjaikra elindulni). Véleményem szerint igenis tisztában voltak a problémával a szoba kiadása előtt is, mégis a pénzkeresési lehetőség lebegett a szemük előtt, nem pedig a vendég jóléte és egészsége. Érdemben sajnos nem tudtak segíteni, és igazából úgy tűnt, hogy nem is akarnak. A visszatérítési igényem kapcsán csak azt hajtogatták, hogy továbbították a managernek a kérésem, de ha a bookingot nem keresem fel, a mai napig nem kaptam volna semmilyen megoldást az ügy kapcsán. Idő közben találkoztam a karbantartóval is, aki valójában egyszer azt állította, hogy nem tudott a problémáról, mert senki nem értesítette, majd egy másik mondatában azt mondta, hogy ez már egy korábbi beázás és ki fogják javítani. Nem csupán egy hibás szobát kaptam, hanem a nyaralásomra szánt időmet és energiámat is felemésztette a szállásadó mulasztása okozta kényszerű ügyintézés, hiszen az ott tartózkodásom egy jelentős része arról szólt, hogy próbáljak erre megoldást találni, ami miatt kevésbé tudtam élvezni a nyaralásom.

• Simone Katharina (7/5): Sehr schön, wir haben viel viel Zeit Sightseeing gemacht. - Das Hotel war sehr zentral gelegen. Es war sehr warm dort. Leider nicht klimatisiert. Dies stand aber auch nicht in der Beschreibung. Der Fußboden war unter dem Teppich in einem nicht guten Zustand. Man merkte beim Laufen Unebenheiten, und es war ein kleines Loch vorhanden.

• Paula (6/5): The staff were helpful and the location was great, the stay was pretty average but good considering the price. - It was a good location, easy and convenient access to the rooms. The photos online made it look a bit more polished and upscale than it actually is — its not a four-star standard. While nothing was particularly bad, the cleanliness and amenities were more average than exceptional, so I wouldn’t give it a 10/10 in those areas.

• Lan Hoy (9/5): Great - This place is very close to central London. It’s extremely convenient to get around, the bus stop is just about 50 meters from the building, so transportation is very easy. The surrounding area is also great, with plenty of entertainment options, cafés, and restaurants nearby. One thing I really liked was that the room was very warm and cozy, including the bathroom. The pantry was also well-equipped. The common areas were kept clean at all times, and all basic supplies were regularly replenished. In addition, when I arrived in London, it was still before check-in time. I asked if I could leave my luggage, and they gladly agreed. The staff even took my luggage to the room in advance so I could go out and enjoy the day without worrying, then come back in the evening to check in. I genuinely enjoyed my stay here, and if I return to London, D8-Shoreditch will definitely be my first choice again.
• Cayley (3/5): Erg vervelend - Oude accommodatie terwijl het er op de foto’s nieuw uitziet. De badkamer was heel erg klein. Het personeel was niet bereikbaar toen onze douche geen warm water meer gaf 2 dagen met koud water moeten douchen. Meerdere keren gebeld en geappt maar geen reactie.

The noise of the street and the bar downstairs. If you want a silent room you should consider to have from the back side.

• Gloria (9/5): Bien conectado y cómodo. - La ubicación esta ideal, a pasos de una estación de bus y unas cuadras de la estación de metro. A un lado estan varios lugares para comer, hay súper cerca una panadería y una tienda de conveniencia. El alojamiento ofrece café, té y galletas. Nos hospedamos en la habitación 6, la habitación tiene buen tamaño, la cama es comoda, un poco pequeña, pero perfecta, hay ventilador, un mini refrigerador, secador de pelo, batas de baño, ganchos y caja de seguridad. El baño aunque esta afuera, es bastante grande, tiene también calefacción y es muy comodo. Tuvimos un inconveniente con la calefacción y el agua caliente, sin embargo lo resolvieron bien temprano por la mañana. Sí lo recomiendo.

• Mathias (8/5): Meget fint lille værelse, helt perfekt til mit formål med rejsen til London. Super nemt at checke ind og ud. Hvis jeg sk - Fint værelse og fint badeværelse og fin beliggenhed meget tæt på Stor tog/bus/undergrunds station. Lidt underligt ikke have toilet på værelset. Men super rart at man så trods alt har et privat badeværelse ude på gangen lige ved siden af værelset. Så det var faktisk okay.

• PEDRO SANTIAGO (6/5): I dont know about this one. - Location, the external bathroom was nice. The house's profile is super misleading. Most of the pictures are of a bar that no longer exists. It also says that amenities include every day housekeeping . Not true. This is only the case if you pay extra. I algo still carry a mysterious charge that no one has explained to me why it was made. The whatsapp staff was not available almost at all. When they responded it was too late. It also has thin walls. Some of the paint is coming off and the front foor won't shut entirely unless you really make sure to pull. Most guests do not so the door stays open for a god knows how long. The desk was too small to work there and the tv is awkwardly placed to the side of the bed.

• Julia (1/5): - Impossível gostar de alguma coisa depois de viver uma situação de insegurança de extrema gravidade e não ter recebido nenhum suporte adequado por parte da hospedagem. NÃO SE HOSPEDEM NA D8! O local é inseguro e a equipe negligente e irresponsável diante de situações graves. Sou mulher e viajava sozinha. Tive uma das piores experiências da minha vida na D8: um homem arrombou a porta do edifício durante a madrugada e tentou invadir o meu quarto duas vezes. No primeiro dia encontrei a porta do prédio aberta ao sair e chegar. Mesmo após avisar a hospedagem pelo chat do Booking — recebi apenas uma resposta genérica sobre “apertar um botão”. Nenhuma providência foi tomada. Na segunda noite, por volta da 1h, acordei com barulhos de pancadas violentas. Um homem arrombou a porta de entrada do prédio, subiu as escadas e tentou digitar senhas no painel do quarto abaixo do meu. Em seguida, vi a luz do corredor acender e os pés dele diante da minha porta. Ele insistiu em digitar o código e eu gritei que ele estava no quarto errado (imaginei que podia ser um hóspede alcoolizado que esqueceu as senhas). Xingou-me e se afastou por um instante. Tentei ligar para a D8, ninguém atendeu. Pedi socorro pelo chat, mas não tive resposta. O homem voltou, tentou forçar a porta e me xingava de "cunt" enquanto eu gritava que chamaria a polícia. Apavorada e sem suporte, abri a janela e pedi ajuda. Um casal do andar de baixo disse que havia chamado a polícia. Um transeunte me ajudou a sair do prédio e esperei a chegada dos policiais em uma loja 24h. Ao voltar com eles, vimos a tranca da porta no chão e um buraco aberto à chutes no corredor. Fiz a mala e saí imediatamente, acompanhada da polícia. A hospedagem só apareceu às 11h do dia seguinte, com um “lamentamos” e promessas vagas de “analisar as câmeras”. Não ofereceram ajuda prática nem segurança. Pedi reembolso das noites não usadas e dos gastos emergenciais por uma nova hospedagem, mas apenas repetiam que “encaminhariam ao gerente”. Após dias, continuo sem qualquer retorno concreto. A D8 Shoreditch foi negligente, despreparada e indiferente à segurança dos hóspedes. Não se hospedem aqui!
• Anja (7/5): - Die Lage ist sehr gut. Wir waren im 3. Stock und hatten ein Bad für uns auf der Etage. Das Bad war sehr anständig und sauber, aber es war sehr kalt dort. Schlafen konnten wir sehr gut und es war ruhig. Der Check in per Code klappt sehr gut. Man muss aber sagen, dass das Zimmer/ Eingang und Flur schon in die Jahre gekommen sind. Für einen Kurz- Aufenthalt, wo man eh nur zum schlafen im Zimmer ist, ist es eine gute Wahl.
• Kit (4/5): Meh. - Location and cleanliness Paid for early check in at 1pm but room was not ready till 2pm so paid that extra for only an hour before my normal check in time would have been. Was told about getting a refund but still nothing came through.

• Greg (6/5): Noisy... - comfortable room on the whole Bathroom fan was excruciatingly loud, ended up keeping the light off and hoping for the best. Room very hot as on an extremely busy and noisy road that made it impossible to sleep with the windows own - not helped by the radiators being on blasting out heat when i arrived. It took some time to cool down. I maybe should have own about the road beforehand. Downstairs door left open by other residents everytime. The enormous amount of money asked for as a damage deposit at the last minute was a shocker. Really is this needed?

• Giulia (6/5): - la position géographique, top & très pratique pour en profiter pendant un petit weekend! je pensais arriver dans un hôtel avec un accueil et finalement on est arrivé dans un dortoir avec code d'entrée, zéro accueil et c'est un peu dommage

• tanya (8/5): Comfortable stay ,clean and well equipped room. - Room 5 was nice, very clean and quiet. A little warm but the windows opens and there was a fan. Smell in the corridor and stairs, thankfully not in the room. Would have preferred 2 pillows each.
• Rosalie (1/5): Zeer slechte service, onbereikbaar personeel - De locatie was perfect! Dit was echt geen 4-sterren hotel. Er was geen receptie en het personeel was onbereikbaar via whatsapp, telefoon, E-mail en sms. De eerste avond hadden we moeite met binnenkomen met de doorgegeven code en pas de volgende dag reageerde iemand op onze berichten hierover. De voordeur sloot niet goed waardoor iedereen zomaar binnen kon lopen. Ook op onze berichten hierover werd niet gereageerd. We hebben zelf wc papier moeten kopen omdat ook op die vraag geen reactie kwam. Daarnaast waren de kamer en vooral het bed erg klein, zeker geen bed voor twee personen. Kortom: Vermijd dit hotel!

• Claire (2/5): Not again - Not a lot ! Not great to access building with no one to speak to ! Bathroom floor dropped when walking on it , windows didn’t open and no tea and coffee facilities. They still charge a £25 non refundable waiver !!
• Naroa Zurutuza (1/5): Lamentable servicio de atención al cliente - No pude hacer el check in y el hotel tardó más de 15 horas en contestarme tras intentar contactar con ellos por varios medios (telefono, whatsapp, email, booking). Tuve que reservar otra habitación ya que se hizo de noche y pagar por otra habitación. Inaceptable.
