• Bruce (9/5): Pleasant stay in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach with welcoming hosts and a great breakfast. - Hosts were very pleasant and accomodating to my dietary request (A2 milk). The breakfast was outstanding. Unlike most Australian B&B's continental fare, in addition to the standard fare there were pancakes, eggs, bacon, orange juice, and good coffee . There was a direct walking path to the beach that was well marked and not too far. There was confusion in finding the B&B. Right next door was an apartment rental company with almost the same name and a bigger sign, so we pulled into the wrong parking spot initially.

Thank you again! - Richard and Evie are excellent hosts, with the personal touch of Richard remembering each guest's name and greeting them by name each day. The room was more than adequate and very comfortable, and parking was very adequate even for our large old car. Breakfast was delicious, both the cooked and continental options. All food was so fresh and tasty, with a great selection of fruit and smallgoods as well. The only thing I could possibly find to fault (and even then it's not a fault) is that we had two early starts planned and breakfast began at 8.30am! But, that's entirely on us for not checking that part out earlier, and is in no way a fault with the property or the hosts. Besides, the later breakfast allows for a sleep in for guests who have visited the Penguin Parade the night before.

• claudia (10/5): - Nous n’avons passé qu’une seule nuit sur Phillip Island et, si c’était à refaire, je réserverais sans hésiter pour un minimum de deux nuits. Nous étions en route vers Melbourne et c’est sans aucun doute le plus bel endroit où nous avons séjourné pendant notre trajet. Nous avons été accueillis par le propriétaire, un homme vraiment sympathique qui avait déjà séjourné au Québec. Nous avons eu un très bel échange à ce sujet, ce qui a rendu l’accueil encore plus agréable. L’endroit est incroyable et les chambres sont décorées de façon différente, chacune avec beaucoup de charme et de personnalité. Le déjeuner était tout simplement incroyable. Bref, je recommande fortement cet endroit. Mon seul regret : ne pas avoir pu y demeurer plus longtemps.

• Fred (9/5): Ein sehr gastfreundliches Haus und eine klare Empfehlung - Tolle ruhige Lage und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und gemütlich. Dazu sehr nette Gastgeber und ein aussergewöhnlich gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Unser Zimmer war leider nicht ganz sauber und auch die Terassenmöbel und vor allem die Auflagen hätten eine Reinigung nötig. Trotzdem eine sehr gute Adresse und eine klare Empfehlung.

Loved the 11 am check-out and the property's well-maintained historical garden. Nothing comes to mind.

• Jennifer (9/5): A charming BnB close to the beach, and all the attractions of Phillip Island and Cowes. - The breakfast was absolutely lovely! The facilities were exactly as described, and it was close to the beach and a short drive up to Coles, and the main shopping precinct strip of Cowes. The grounds are immaculate with parking facilities right outside your door. The golden tree out the front is divine and such a treasure to provide much needed shade from the hot summer sun. Richard and Evie were excellent hosts, informing us of activities to do on the island and sights to visit during our stay. They went to a lot of trouble to ensure our stay was comfortable, and we had all the amenities we needed. The room was spacious and comfy with TV and wifi, the bed was super relaxing and the shower had good water pressure, with a spacious bathroom. The bonus room with storage facilities, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities really complimented our stay. Really, there was nothing not to like! This place has fantastic reviews and I can see why :) The only things that were missing (and these are minor) were individual shampoo and conditioner samples, and some forks for quick lunchtime meals like salads etc. Otherwise it is a wonderful accommodation for a weekend stay.

Richard, is an amazing host, he shared with us many tips about the island and made our stay even more amazing. There is a direct 200m access to the beach. The city center is only 5mn away from the place.

Angefangen von dem Zimmer mit einem separaten Raum für die Koffer, über den Garten mit schönen Sitzgelegenheiten bis zu dem Frühstücksraum bzw. Wohnzimmer. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut bestückt und es fehlte an nichts. Die pochierten Eier mit Bacon und der Kaffee von Richard waren super.

The hosts went out of their way to make us welcome - Evie even made me special veggie fritters for breakfast even though the breakfast buffet choice was so extensive I really didn’t need anything else. Beautiful rooms and a stunning central drawing room/breakfast room that’s warm and comfortable. Richard and Evie are very warm and welcoming and know each guest by first name. Nothing is too much trouble. The bed we had was the best we’d had so far on our holiday and the breakfasts were superb. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending Glen Isla as place to stay if visiting Phillip Island. Nothing. Rather jealous actually of what they have achieved here.
