- Ulrike (10/5): Wunderbare Gastgeber an einem besonderen Ort! - Die Vila 43 liegt direkt am See in dem wunderschönen Örtchen Lin; sie ist außergewöhnlich geschmackvoll gestaltet, im Essensraum unten zum Beispiel erlaubt eine Fensterfront den Blick in die dahinter liegende Küche. Im Garten konnten wir wunderbar sitzen; Die Betreiber sind sehr nett. Nichts- allerdings stellen wir uns vor, dass der Ort im Sommer überlaufen ist, und wenn alle Zimmer vermietet wären, es auch nicht mehr so wunderschön ruhig ist. Im Ort wird weiter überall gebaut- dabei scheint uns der Ort bereits mit Besuchern so voll ausgelastet…

- Hubert (7/5): Schönes Haus in Lin! - Die Unterkunft ist in einem sehr schönen Haus direkt am Wasser untergebracht. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Wir mochten wegen der vielen Algen nicht ins Wasser gehen. Wurden auf dieser Seite der Halbinsel Abwasser in den See geleitet? Jedenfalls haben wir uns auf den Liegen am Wasser wohlgefühlt. Und man sollte unbedingt in Lin eine kleine Wanderung zu der verfallenenen alten Kirche auf den Hügel machen. Eigentlich ist hier alles in Ordnung

Possibilité de dîner sur place dans le restaurant très agréable qui offre une vue sur le lac Le petit déjeuner était délicieux .
- Kerstin (10/5): Herrliche Unterkunft - Herrliche Unterkunft im historischen Dörfchen Lin. Lage direkt am See, Seeblick vom Balkon und auch vom Restaurant / Garten. Zugang zum See direkt vom Garten. Großer, privater Parkplatz. Leckeres, liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück. Schmackhaftes Abendessen (Ohridforelle), sehr zu empfehlen. Das ältere Gastgeber Ehepaar ist sehr herzlich. Sie sprechen kein Englisch, aber wir haben uns trotzdem verstanden. Die informierende Kommunikation läuft via Mail mit dem Sohn auf Englisch.

- Katrin (9/5): Idyllische Herberge in Lin direkt am See - Das kleine Hotel liegt direkt am See. Es ist sehr idyllisch dort abends bei einem Glas Wein zu sitzen. Man kann auch direkt dort baden. Zimmer war modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Frühstück war ausreichend. Abendessen war gut. Im Zimmer war es schwierig die Koffer abzustellen. Die Verständigung mit dem Personal war etwas schwierig (auch auf Englisch).

- Birgit (9/5): Lin und hin - Die Lage ist toll, direkt am See. Kanus und Kajaks sind vorhanden und können gemietet werden. Ein Platz fürs Auto wird auch angeboten. Sonst kann es sehr eng werden... das man direkt im Haus auch zu Abend essen kann ist toll, allzu viel Auswahl hat man im Ort sonst nicht. Da fällt mir nichts ein.
- Denoual (5/5): Pas convaincu du tout - L’équipement est récent, élégant et de qualité. L’hôtel est vraiment au bord du lac. Les repas (15€) sont bons. Le bruit … la belle salle à manger est aussi le lieu vie de la famille avec deux petites filles. Ça crie, ça courre dans tous les sens, ça s’interpelle… etc etc pas du tout calme et reposant. Dommage. Avons abrégé notre séjour. Important : il n’y a absolument RIEN à voir autour…. Balade autour du lac impossible.

- FLORENCE (10/5): Pas mieux dans le coin pour découvrir le lac et les alentours - Hôte très accueillant, très proche de ses clients, à l’écoute. Guesthouse de qualité, avec standard hôtel, repas traditionnel fait par la famille, très bon, endroit paisible et l’accès direct au lac est un plus. Possibilité de louer des canoë et paddel directement sur place. Le système de draps pour chaque personne dans un lit double. Un peu chelou pour un couple. Après l’hôtel n’est pas responsable mais nous y participons tous en y allant, les eaux usées ne sont pas traitées et bcp ressurgissent dans les eaux du lac. Un membre de notre famille plus fragile des intestins a chopé un virus qui l’a rendu malade pdt deux jours …

Transats dans le jardin et accès pour baignade. Très agréable ! Le parking est un vrai plus. Impossible de se garer sinon !

Accueil chaleureux, merci à notre petit traducteur privé ( le petit-fils) Resto parfait pour les spécialités locales. Village authentique . Rien . Nous n’avons pas pu profiter du kayak car le lac était trop agité.

La casa es un lujo de alojamiento. Hace calor en la habitación, no puedes dejar ventana abierta porque entran bichitos (lo normal al estar en el lago)

The location was amazing, right on Lake Ohrid. We loved having meals right at the lake with the amazing views. Our room also had an incredible view of the lake. The family who owns the property is very, very nice and very helpful to us with information and recommendations, especially since we only speak English. The only thing I did not like was that the electrical outlet next to my bed was loose and not properly secured to the wall, but other than that everything was wonderful.
- Albi (10/5): Genuine Hospitality by the Lake - I had been to Vila 43 twice for lunch but stayed overnight for the first time. The setting is beautiful, right by the lake, with cozy rooms, great breakfast and amazing water to swim in. What truly stood out was the hospitality. I had to cancel my original booking last minute due to a family emergency. The son, who manages bookings, responded with professionalism and understanding. When I returned two weeks later, I insisted on offering compensation… they initially refused, but accepted after I explained I’d feel embarrassed otherwise. As a kind gesture, the owner gifted us a bottle of local wine. We arrived very late, but the mother was waiting with a smile. She clearly had a soft spot for us as a young couple, treated us with care, almost like babysitting us in the sweetest way. A peaceful stay. Highly recommended. Looking forward to visit again soon. A small suggestion: having a fridge accessible to guests at night with drinks (especially water) would be a great addition. Guests could simply note what they take on a sheet for payment later. Shops nearby and the bar on sote close early. On our first night we really needed water beyond the two small bottles provided.

- Seime (10/5): Quiet get-away in a small village, newly rebuilt, comfortable - Location is on the shoreline of lake Ohrid in a small village. Quiet and nice. Small family establishment with a handful of rooms. Dinner menu could have a few more options, and the food/drinks are rather expensive.

For people who likes nature and beautiful surroundings, it is a perfect place. A beautiful piece of nature. It is the most beautiful place on the lake i have ever seen. Nice room with fridge and balcony, very comfortable mattress and pillows. Fast wi-fi, good water pressure in the shower, thick towels. Free and safe parking a few meters from the hotel. Excellent and plentiful breakfast, both salty and sweet, with home-made glyko and "petulla" and fresh fruit. We had dinner also, and the fish koran was cooked very well and tasteful. Quiet neighborhood, beds and pillows comfortable, we slept well. Hosts were warm and friendly and we communicated well via google translate. Free secured parking located in lot two minute walk from hotel. Path up to historic basilica (and peninsula) located right across street from hotel. Highly recommend. Would stay again.

- Leah (10/5): Wonderful, caring place in the beautiful village of Lin - Villa 43 and the family who run it are exceptional . The rooms are modern, comfortable and have wonderful views of the lake , and there is a lovely dining/ breakfast room leading onto a pretty garden where one can go straight into the lake to swim and / or kayak . We ate lake caught fish for dinner there which was delicious , and the breakfast was very good too . However , even more impressive was the care they took of us when having rented kayaks from them, a storm set in when we were a little way down the coast . We had to park on the kayaks on a beach and the owner came to look for us , others met us with towels after we had hiked back and they retrieved the kayaks the next morning , all without making us feel bad ( although we did ). We hugely recommend this place . Nothing .

- Joanne (10/5): Wonderful. The best place we stayed at in Albania. - It was a beautiful location and the view of the lake from our balcony was breathtaking! The room was lovely and facilities were great and very clean. We could swim on the lake straight from the garden and we hired a canoe from the owners to explore the lake a bit more. The food was very good too. Lin itself is very small with limited facilities so probably good if you want to totally switch off and relax fully.

The house is new builded and nice decorated. From our room we had a very nice view over the lake. You can have dinner. We had fresh fish very well prepared. Your car can be parked a few meters from the hotel. I liked the small village with his narrow streets. When you have heavy luggage you must do some stairs and rooms are not so big.

- Wignall (10/5): A must stay in Lin! - This guest house was absolutely amazing. The location is beautiful. The people working in the guest house were incredibly friendly and helpful. The free parking is just round the corner. The dinner in the villa was amazing and so reasonable priced. We also made the most of the free breakfast and used the kayaks on the lake. All in all it was just the best stay. If I ever return to Albania I will be heading straight to Lin and straight to Vila 43! Nothing!

- Raeleen (10/5): Exceptional - We really enjoyed our stay at Vila 43. The entire place is very well renovated/new and very clean! The couple that runs the guesthouse is very kind and welcoming. We had dinner there the night we arrived and the food was really excellent. If you go, don't hesitate to try the fish from the lake. The breakfast the next morning was also top-notch. The rooms are nicely designed and comfortable with beautiful views of the lake.
