• Mercier (9/5): - Terrasse avec vue magnifique sur la ville. Déjeuner copieux. Hôtel familial et sympathique. Bien situé pour visiter la citadelle. Nous pouvons nous rendre à la marche dans les quartiers de mangalem et gorica. Rien qui nous empêcherait de revenir. Le matelas était dur mais ok pour 2 nuits.

Począwszy od apartamentu (dwa przestronne, klimatyczne pokoje, wyposażone w klimatyzatory), czystości (perfekcyjna), lokalizacji w obrębie zamku w Beracie, widoku (wartego milion dolarów), po pyszne śniadanie nie do przejedzenia i przesympatycznych właścicieli! Mimo bariery językowej, od gospodarzy było czuć ogrom sympatii i dobroci! Czuliśmy się jak w domu, totalnie rozpieszczeni. Żałujemy, że spędziliśmy tam tylko jedną noc. Guest House Iljesa był najlepszym obiektem, w którym nocowaliśmy w trakcie naszej objazdówki po Albanii. Na miejscu dostępny jest bezpłatny parking.

• Philippe (9/5): Maison albanaise dans l’enceinte du Château. - Maison typique du château tout en pierre. Bel emplacement dans le château, facile d’accès. Hôtel au calme. Belles chambres et petite entrée où il est bon de prendre une boisson. Parking gratuit. Personnel accueillant, sympathique, charmant. Petit déjeuner complet, correct. Sûrement un des meilleurs logement de ce quartier. On peut rejoindre à pied les quartiers de la ville basse au prix d’une montée-descente de 180 m de dénivelé ou en prenant sa voiture.
• Pierre (9/5): Cadre et atmosphère calme et authentique. - La situation, dans la vieille ville, avec accès en voiture : nous nous sentions privilégiés, surtout le soir quand il fait calme. Vue à couper le souffle. La gentillesse du personnel, nous nous sentions bien accueillis et au moindre problème nous avions une solution. Petit déjeuner servi à table avec un choix de produits frais et cuisinés à la minute. Literie peu confortable, pas de rideaux (lumières tôt le matin), chambre aménagée dans une ancienne maison, beaucoup de bibelots et décoration très riche (attention à la casse). Idéal pour la visite du chateau, mais plus compliqué pour la visite de la ville en contrebas (150m de dénivelé : idéal pour travailler la course à pieds ;-).

• Rachael (10/5): Spectacular- one of the most magical places we have ever stayed. - Wow- what a place: location is INCREDIBLE views are stunning- we really just couldn't get over them. The rooms were fine, but we were barely in them because honestly, those views! The staff were so, so warm and friendly, the breakfasts (bring an appetite!) were exceptional and...did I tell mention the VIEWS! There are very few places I would go back to, but this is one of them. The views, the wild horses, the snow-capped mountain, the beautiful river and the blossoms- truly heavenly. I could have happily stayed longer!

Les hôtes la mère et ses fils très accueillant, et d'une extrême gentillesse. Une vue sur les montagnes dans la vieille ville fortifiée. La chambre est simple, suffisamment grande pour 2 adultes et un enfant avec une vraie douche (ce qui n'est pas le cas partout à ce prix). La cuisine est bonne, pas chère avec de bonne quantité. • Suzanne (10/5): Relaxt verblijf met het beste uitzicht ooit - De guesthouse is prachtig gelegen binnen de muren van het kasteel. Subliem uitzicht. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame familie die de guesthouse en het restaurant runt. Eén van de kleinzonen spreekt uitstekend Engels. Wij hadden de dubbele kamer, en die was zeer schoon en authentiek ingericht. Het was niet gehorig. Ontbijt was lekker en voldoende. De ligging binnen de muren betekent een steile weg omhoog met de auto. Slagbomen door, en dan naar boven. Je komt door 2 stadspoorten. Die zijn breder dan je denkt. Het lastige zit ‘m niet zozeer in het steile (je kunt na de 1e poort even pauzeren op een vlak stuk) van de weg, maar in de vele toeristen die in de weg lopen. Wij hebben met heel veel plezier op deze fijne plek met relaxte sfeer en goed personeel gelogeerd. Uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Wij waren tevreden. 2 tips: 1. Een extra spiegel in de kamer zou prettig zijn. Wij waren met 5 en als de badkamer bezet was, was er geen andere spiegel in de kamer. Geen groot probleem, maar het zou wel makkelijk zijn geweest. 2. Er zitten bij het tweepersoonsbed gedeelte geen luiken voor de ramen (of wij hebben ze niet gezien!). Dat betekent dat je vroeg wakker kunt worden van het daglicht. Dat was voor ons niet erg, maar iets meer verduistering was fijn geweest.
• Petra (10/5): Super verblijf - Super leuke locatie bovenop de berg in Berat in echt oude stijl. Wat echt top was was de vriendelijkheid van de gastvrouw. Ze hebben voor ons een lunchpakketje gemaakt en de was gedaan. Allemaal heen probleem. Badkamer is simpel maar super lekkere douche. De bedden waren een beetje aan de harde kant, maar ze zijn niet allemaal zo, ligt aan de kamer. Je moet er wel rekening mee houden dat het op een berg ligt dus als je beneden gaat eten moet je wel het hele stuk omhoog lopen

Views were absolutely stunning from this property and the apartment was very cozy . The host family was a blessing . Hospitality at it’s highest . We would strongly recommend this place .. it’s right at the top of Berat ..inside the Castle of Berat at very reasonable cost including fantastic homemade breakfast with view. Lieu calme et authentique. La famille qui tient l’auberge est d’une extrême gentillesse et très prévenante. La chambre est confortable, fonctionnelle et très propre. Il y a la climatisation. Le petit déjeuner typique est exceptionnel tant en terme de qualité que de quantité. Nous avons aussi dîné dans l’auberge et nous nous sommes régalés. Tout était parfait!

• Janelle (9/5): Beautiful Guest house, beautiful family, beautiful views - This guesthouse exceeded our expectations! The rooms are simple but very clean and spacious. The bathroom is also clean and spacious. The water pressure was good and hot! This has not been our experience in rest of Albania so this was a pleasant surprise. The shower head needed some maintenance to stay up but it was manageable. The breakfast was amazing! You sit out on the castle wall looking over Berat new town. You receive an omelette, burek, fruit and vegetables and bread! Plus tea/coffee/ juice and a bottle of water. If you can eat all you are doing well! The staff whilst the mum cannot speak any English she still tries hard to communicate and Google does help... The wifi is also very good and for the price you pay it is such good value! The guest house is inside the walls of the castle where there is a village with other hotels and guest houses, restaurants and cafe. Google does not take you to the correct location but they will send you instructions before arrival. The castle is free to wander around and you get beautiful views down to Goric area the town with 1000 windows. The only thing to say is the evening meals we also had here were a little over cooked but the staff were kind and attentive.

The breakfast spread was amazing and the staff were friendly. The room is basic but has everything you need including aircon. There is a fridge outside the room, no kettle but they are happy to give you hot water at the bar etc.

Oberhalb der Stadt inmitten der Burgmauern gelegen. Urgemütliche Tische unter Bäumen, es geht immer ein leichte Lüftchen. Man kann tatsächlich mit dem Auto hinfahren und das Auto auch gut vor dem Haus parken. Die Fahrt in die Burg hinein kam uns anfangs komisch vor, ist aber tatsächlich so vorgesehen. Sehr sehr nette Familie, fantastische Frühstück und blitzsauberes Zimmer. Definitiv nächstes Mal wieder! Da gibt es nichts

We were warmly welcomed by a very friendly and hospitable family, which made us feel right at home. The view from the terrace is absolutely beautiful. Ademas del precio que es muy barato. El hotel esta ubicado en el castillo, un poco lejos del centro pero este inconveniente a la vez es una ventaja porque te encuentras en un paraje unico con unas vistas maravillosas.

She even got up earlier to provide a delicious breakfast so we could get to airport. Property was very clean and had lovely views from the terraces. Bed a little hard Long walk back up the hill if you dine in old town. We drove but parking can be difficult. Old town is lovely with great cafes, bars and restaurants.

En wat een uitzicht vanaf het terras! De locatie is perfect, een goede en rustige uitvalsbasis om Berat te ontdekken. Het is bijzonder om binnen de kasteelmuren te verblijven. Net als de weg er naartoe. Het is een leuke ervaring om door de poort te rijden. Je kunt er goed parkeren. Tot slot zijn de mensen van het guesthouse ontzettend aardig. We voelden ons erg welkom. De wandeling van de stad terug naar het guesthouse is steil, maar goed te doen.

Nothing to do with the property - The town of Berat. A lot of males staring at my daughters. Even now we keep thinking we missed something here. A lot of people online said go to Berat instead of Gjirokastër. We did both, Gjirokastër is the standout.

El desayuno fue muy completo con platos típicos albaneses Para llegar a la casa, debe accederse al interior de las murallas del castillo y según a qué hora del día se haga, puede ser complicado por la cantidad de gente y de coches que entran y salen.

• Taylor (10/5): One of the best places I have ever stayed - I stay in hotels 50+ nights a year, and I have to say this is one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The location is amazing, it is in Berat Castle! The views from the guest house are top-notch. Everything within the castle is easy to walk to. The family that runs the place is so great. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. The rooms are clean and the pillows and bed are super comfy. We stayed during the summer, and the AC worked great to keep us cool. The last thing I will mention is the breakfast! They give you so much food, and it's absolutely delicious. The breakfast is worth the price of the whole accommodation. Stay here, you won't regret it. Nothing

The food served at the guest house was amazing and it came with the most amazing view of berat. Lastly the staff was so nice and welcoming. There was nothing we didnt like.

Gratis parkeergelegenheid naast de accommodatie. Heerlijk, uitgebreid, vers ontbijt met uitzicht op Berat. Daarnaast heeft de accommodatie een eigen restaurant waar je heerlijk kon eten voor lunch en diner. Kamer was ruim, erg sfeervol, authentiek en van alle gemakken voorzien. Vriendelijke eigenaren met hart voor de zaak. Een echte aanrader!
