Guest Reviews
- Ehsan (8/5): - Price is good. Bathroom in the basement not good.
- Yashar (3/5): - I was offered another place in the basement at 78 Pantego Close NW, Calgary, which I accepted. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The neighbors upstairs were walking around and moving furniture at 2 a.m. The lady in the basement was chopping food in the kitchen very early in the morning. I couldn’t sleep at all. My trip plans were ruined.

- Jamal (10/5): -
- May (6/5): Good for an overnight stay. - Location was easy to reach, nice neighbourhood. Instructions were easy to follow. Met some lovely guests. Lack of cutlery and dishes in the kitchen and traffic noise at night. Kitchen counter was dirty. Linens were either stained or bleached out... looking dirty.
- Zyven (10/5): - Very comfortable bed No complaints
- Benoit (7/5): -
- Bhavya (8/5): Excellent quiet restful sleep, absolutely lovely - Awesome peacefully quiet bedroom No laundry
- Hannah (9/5): -
- Mohamud (10/5): -
- Jobbin (3/5): Below average - Nothing much Small room with lot's of mosquitoes. Kitchen doesn't have basic utensils like spoon and fork.
- Rebekah (8/5): Good for what you pay - It was in a good location, we were just staying one night from a late flight into the airport and with it being so close, was a great cheap place to stay. You get what you pay for, we had no issues They have a sign on the door telling you not to let the homeless people sleep on the couch and to keep the door locked. I know it’s just security, but makes you feel a little uneasy.
- Jatin (10/5): -
- James (7/5): It was an ok place -
- Nicholas (6/5): - There was no kitchen to use, only a microwave and a small oven.
There is no lock in the bathroom, so as the house is shared between travellers, it would be nice to be able to lock the bathroom while you are showering.
- Caroline (1/5): Will not go back. I have sent the same comments to the owner. - The bed was comfortable, once I adjusted the sheets. The house number was invisible in the dark as it was not lit at all. I had not received the code for the door until I phoned the owner while standing in -11degree weather. I didn't realize that would not be any owner/staff at the place. The sheets looked dirty, at best it was a bad choice of a pattern for a paying guest, at worst it looked like it had been used the clean a car engine. I refused to sleep under that sheet and when I saw the mattress cover, it looked like there was a faeces mark, urine stains and a blood stain along with hair. There was also a crusty brown spot of something on the floor by the toilet.
I did take photographs to back up my concerns, but there was problem with my camera.
- Israel (7/5): -
- Li (10/5): - Quiet, spacious, you get more than what you paid for
- 銘賢 (8/5): - 住宿價錢便宜
- Roger (10/5): Favorite Calgary stay - Not my first or last time staying here. It's actually my first choice of places to stay whenever I'm planning to stay overnight in the city.
I have never personally met the hosts but they are friendly in their reply to my messages and questions.
Since I drive the location is reasonably close to the venues I attend when in town. It's actually close to the major highways making access to them very easy for me.
As I said this is always my first choice for places to stay and I recommend it to anyone who asks. NOTHING

- YONGLIN (1/5): 如果你只是睡觉 - 厕所里没纸 三天了 也没人管 没有一块地方是干净的
- Solecki (9/5): -

- Marissa (6/5): -
- Ezgi (6/5): Best value at this price - It is easy to access. The homeowner provides all the info before arrival, and it matches the description. There is no first aid kit or anything similar. I injured myself and couldn't find an aid band. There are notes everywhere telling you what not to do, like you're in elementary school.
- Lynn (4/5): Very stressful and too hot - wasted our time traveling to a second location - Nothing lack of communication skills ( didn't speak/understand much English), gave our room to someone else so we had to go to a different location, no WiFi so we could get directions to second location, no air conditioning or way to adjust heat/ cooling
- Peneder (10/5): -
- jerome (9/5): - Calm, good neighborhood
- Tamara (2/5): Beddington west, no thank you. - . The floors were dirty even though I was told I could not wear my shoes in the house. The bathroom towels were dirty and smelled bad, I had to use a clean shirt after a second shower to dry off. There are hand written notes all over the house dehumanizing guests with repeated rules. This was by far the least clean accommodation I've seen in a long while. At the last minute I was given a different room in a different house at a different address. This happened while I was driving and they demanded I respond.

- Chris (8/5): -
- Pamela (7/5): - Clean One person was noisy late at night
- Barbara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adjara (4/5): Disappointing -
- Tarca (1/5): Fine if you just need a bed to sleep in and prefer to eat out - Close to the airport. Bedding was comfortable enough. Kitchen and its facilities were disgusting. Microwave severely rusted out inside (dangerous!) and kettle was full of scale. Bin full of rubbish and no lid which made the place smell. Multiple smoke alarms had been removed, one of those being in one of the 2 rooms shared by our group. Owner immediately became threatening when these issues were raised. Felt very uncomfortable. Our group didn’t use the shower facilities due to feeling unsafe. The CV surveillance was unsettling too.
- Clarisse (8/5): Very good - Lovely house in a quiet neighbouhood. For the price I wish we coud have access to coffee or tea.
- Bing (7/5): Good -
- Allaire (5/5): Decent price for a quick 9 hour stay. - Good location, decent place for the price and adequate for a very short stay. Quiet clean house with shared kitchen and bathroom. We arrived late from a flight and left early the next day for the Rockies. Room was small, bathroom is ok but not extremely clean and everything looks very old and used. Towels were worn, tiny and smelled bad. Luckily we could open the window to get air because it was stuffy, if we needed air conditioning or heat, it would have been quite uncomfortable. It's also very restrictive in terms of rules and expectations, so we didn't feel at ease. It feels unfriendly, unnecessarily strict, and not welcoming. No cooking allowed, no noise, no shoes, multiple surveillance cameras, etc. It's fine for less than 12 hours, just to sleep and get ready for the day.
- Kairat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeanne (7/5): Good -
- Alana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Krizzelle (4/5): It's okay but will definitely not book again. Needs room for improvement. Hope this feedback will not make you upset - Location. Easy checkin/self checkin. Host responsive
living room and kitchen is tidy. Quiet. Soap should be a body wash and NOT a bar soap, as it's used by all the people in the house. Not ideally hygienic.
Microwave is very dirty, cant even use it. Cleaning supplies are not in proper place.
Duvet cover smells like it hasnt been washed

- Voon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dmytro (10/5): Exceptional - Very responsive host, got all answers within minutes. Great location and value for the price.
- Joshua (4/5): Disappointing after having high hopes - The owner was great and kept constant communication. The re itself and facilities were nice. I thought seeing so many positive reviews I would be in for a pleasant stay. Unfortunately my experience was a poor one. Originally I booked Hidden Valley Treehouse, however because a guest wanted to stay longer I was asked if I wouldn't mind staying in a different location down the road. Okay, no worries at all.
I arrived at around 8pm. Well before the quiet time of 10pm-8am. As I was trying to figure out the lock on my door the person in the next room yelled through the wall for me to be quiet. I wasn't even talking, just trying to lock the door as I went out to get some dinner. This made me feel very unwelcome and unwanted and for the rest of the stay I felt like I was walking around on egg shells.
Also, on the morning I was leaving, I had someone steal my milk that was in the fridge and put the empty carton back in the wrong spot?!?!?! There seems to be a problem with food being stolen as there was already a note in the fridge reminding people not to steal. I contacted the owner and let them know about these issues.
Not a big issue, but the bed sheet on my bed did have a stain on it from maybe bleach?
- Basdeo (1/5): Bad experience - The basement was terrible cold. When I sent a message, they lied about the heat being on. very rude and disrespectful to guess. They kept asking for a cleaning fee, which was not mentioned on advertising. Sheets were old and torn, dirty looking. My skin was itchy the next day. It's worth spending 20 bucks more & and getting something more comfortable.

- Mary (7/5): Private room with bathroom - Bed is comfy
Location is great if you have a car with easy access to highway
Kitchen is basic but the kettle must need to be clean My room is under the kitchen you can hear the foot steps
- Colin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Thijs (6/5): Got to meet other people who also just got out of jail 😏 - The back yard is cozy. The bed was very comfortable. They advertise about it, but it still sucks to not have a stove. TVs don’t even have a power cable so even if you brought an Apple TV etc you can’t use them.
- Maria (10/5): There is no stove to cook on. - We had the suite with our own bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. There was no air conditioning.
- Omid (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean. Very quiet and cozy.good manners
- Ryan (10/5): Quiet and easy stay. - Host was very easy to contact with quick replies. My room was also upgraded free of charge. I was also allowed to late check-in.
- Guido (9/5): Superb - Manager was really nice and let me check in and out late.
- Argad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (8/5): Quiet place in Calgary - The house was very clean and it has everything you might need.
The neigbourhood is very quiet. It is a bit far from center and there are not shops around.
Furniture a bit old.
- Yahiaiev (4/5): Disappointing -
- Md (7/5): Good -
- Atienza (7/5): You get what you pay. - Cheaper option if you just need a place to sleep. Would need a car to access the location.

- Mykhaylo (8/5): Very good -
- Mykhaylo (7/5): Good -
- Zahran (8/5): Very good -
- Fiona (7/5): Good - The house is clean, bed is comfortable, staff is friendly. The location is a bit far from city if by public transportation. You will need a car to get around as there are no shops close by and only one bus in the area.
- Leo (8/5): Very good - Clean and fairly quiet. Bathroom needs a bit of maintenance ie loose toilet seat, broken tp holder. Being an upstairs bedroom, it was warm all evening despite the window being wide open.
- Ndukwe (8/5): Very good -
- Arslan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Haoming (10/5): Exceptional -
- Basdeo (1/5): Poor - Lack of communication quick to take your money. When there are issues, it's not solved. When things are biting u when you are asleep and u text them regarding issues, they quickly dismiss u and ask u to use house cleaning chemicals to spray on beds. It's not good for any human bodies to lie on. Totally unacceptable 😑
- Kyle (10/5): Cozy stay - Our stay was very comfortable and convenient for us considering we had a vehicle. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Host even upgraded up to the master room free of charge. Thanks for everything!! We would definitely stay again when we return to Calgary 🙂 Only downside would be if you don’t have a car, it is a little far from everything
- Jeff (4/5): Strange - Location was good. Kitchen tea towels were filthy.
Closet door as you entered was wide open with dirty towels all about the floor. Poor first impression.
Couldn't find TV remote.
Hand written, passive aggressive signs everywhere, were weird.
