• Mikaela (9/5): Incrível - Segunda vez que fico no hotel e gostei bastante! A localização é boa, proximo de mercados e restaurantes. É um lugar silencioso e ótimo para descansar. Os funcionários são prestativos e simpáticos. Ainda fiz amizade com a gatinha do hotel, bem fofa. Pretendo retornar no proximo ano! Nada a comentar.

• Susheela (9/5): Great value for good service - A very pleasant stay with outstanding service from Wai an absolute gentleman. Assisted with bus routes to places of interest in the area. A must visit is the Victory Bakery a few meters from the accommodation. The Guest House is down a lane so the taxi left me on the main road,which wasn't an issue as it was a few meters away. There's many food vendors along the main road, reasonably priced and easily accessible. A great sushi restaurant at the Guest House. Rather a distance away from the main attractions of Bangkok.

We were offered to get a room straight away and have a nap after long flight. When our room was ready, we were informed and moved there. We were not charged extra; Incredibly nice people. Value for money but still clean and room was ok N/a

• Laura (8/5): Great hotel with authentic vibes - Sriyanar Place was a great hotel the room was big and the garden view was lovely. The room was clean and we had tea,coffee and water in the room. The shower was lovely too. We arrived later on in the night and the staff were there to greet us. We only stayed one night as the location is a little bit out of the way, however this did mean it was less touristy. The surrounding area had lots of street stalls and 7-11 close by. It is close to a port on the river so you are able to get to Iconsiam and in to central Bangkok by boat. The location was a bit out of the way but it was still very noisy in the morning from the gardener and the reception staff. I think this was because of our room being on the ground floor.

• Dane (8/5): Friendly quiet stay with excellent staff and street stalls aplenty. - Wonderfully quiet location, lots of wild birdsong from dawn from the quiet and well maintained garden. Comfortable beds, clean very new bathroom. Young lady on reception from Burma was outstanding, such a kind helpful woman. Thank you. Many street foods 100m away for breakfast and dinner plus two 7-11 stores plus local shops for fruit etc. River ferry was a 6 minutes walk away (turn right at the end of the lane) but it closes at 6pm. Travel upstream on any boat to Bang Sue and downstream for 21 bahts to anywhere = great tourist value. A new purple line metro will be available soon that is just 150m away from the hotel. excellent ac and wifi. Cold Beers at 75baht for 500 ml very welcome early afternnon when local stores refuse to sell cold beer bewtween 2 and 5pm Rooms a bit dark. New bathroom tiles are starting to get mould that could be kept in check with a bruch

Working staffs are really good nice people with calm and polite response from they all and internet speed is excellent. No thing to say

• Hassan (7/5): Could do with a lasting clean - The room was a very good size, roomy enough for 2 people and for just me it was great. Includes a double bed, garden table and 2 chairs, wardrobe, and a desk with TV and chair. Plenty of room to walk, stretch, sit, unnecessarily unpack everything etc. Bathroom was OK, I liked that there was a shower divider and a shower curtain. However the bathroom was home to at least a dozen flies when I checked in and no matter how many I mercilessly deleted, they seemed to multiply by the day. The shower head was grimy on my arrival, but staff offered to fit a new one immediately, which I agreed to. Air con didn't seem to do what I wanted, was either ice cold or very dry and warm, leaving me unwell and sweaty at night with a couple sleepless nights thrown in for an unwelcome stay.

A cat peed in front of of our door, the smell was disgusting in the hall and in our room as well, I tried to contact the staff but no one answer me (it was only 9pm) and they left the pee in there until the day after, no one answer to my text or calls, or even say “sorry” because of what happened.

She is a professional! - Hotel is further away from bigger roads, so it’s quiet and nice to sleep. Good price. Rooms are spacious, comfortable beds. There are cups and a kettle in the room. - Hotel is always closed, you can enter using your hotel card, so security level is good. - Room is spacious, big bed, table, chairs, air conditioning. Night lamp. - Room cleaning every few days, clean towels - Tons of street food around and groceries. - Lovely cats living across the street. - It’s far away from touristic areas. So the streets are not crowded with foreigners. 99% locals - There are some shrines only 10 minutes away (photo attached) I would stay here again. It’s a nice hotel. - Guys working there were absolutely not interested in their jobs, always busy with their mobile phones and scrolling, not interested in guests, not asking us any questions, always watching videos. - Shower holders were broken so I had to hold it myself all the time. There were problems with hot water, during our 9 nights we were lucky to have warm shower 3-4 times only. - There are ants , so avoid leaving sweets or open fruits in the room. - We stayed in the room with garden views, it’s a first floor. There are nice big plants, garden is taken care of. But we had to always have our curtains shut because hotel workers were working/walking in the garden and everyone can see you through the window on the first floor. So it’s difficult to enjoy the garden view because you don’t feel privacy on the first floor without curtains shut.

We arrive to bkk after almost 20h of bus journey and when we came it was 7 in the morning and was worried that we have to wait until 2 to check in but she made sure we got a room straight way and the room was very clean, bed was comfy and had a balcony. Water force in the shower was very good and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was cheap and we stayed very close to China town and khao San road but it was quieter area. Definitely book this hotel if I come to bkk. Nothing

• Tracey (10/5): Clean, safe, wonderful staff, have now stayed three times here. - This was my second stay at Sriyanar - I stayed there at the beginning and end of my trip, as I arrived in Bangkok and then right before I flew back to the states. I just booked my third stay today, as I'm returning to Bangkok in April. The hotel is a small family-run place, very simple and clean, and the staff are incredibly nice and helpful. I am a solo female traveler, and I feel extremely safe at the hotel, and on my second stay they let me check in early when my overnight train got in before normal check-in time since the had an empty room. I cannot say enough about how nice the staff are. If you are taking a cab from the airport or train, it can be a little difficult to find since it's down a side street. When your cab gets to Thanon Nakhon Road, look for the Amazon's Cafe and the moped stand - there is a small side street there, and the hotel is at the end of that side street. Daily Doughnuts is almost directly across the street from the Amazon's. Once you turn down the side street, the hotel entrance is at the end of the street on the left.

It is a very small hotel - I think it is family-run - and I felt very safe, as a solo female traveler I felt very safe. I had a room down the hall from the desk, so someone was always close by (not that it was needed, but it was nice to know they were there). The staff were super helpful when my luggage was lost by the airline and had to be delivered at 3 am! My room faced the courtyard so I had a nice view on mornings that I was working at my "desk" (I was doing some remote work while I was traveling). Great Wi-fi, plenty of hot water, super clean. The room is very utilitarian, but very roomy, and it was the perfect place to have my first ten days in Thailand. Will stay there again for sure. There is a bustling street market on the main street a block away every night and the Payab Pier is about five blocks away - you can catch the Orange line boats to anywhere in Bangkok along the river for fifty cents. Because the hotel is down the alley, my taxi from the airport took a few minutes to find it. But we got it after a minute and the cab driver took me right to the door.
