• Michele (9/5): A lovely short stay in a stunning environment. - Property was in a wonderful position overlooking lots of lush vegetation and far reaching views of the sea. The pool was a lovely addition. The owners were very helpful. The seating in the cabana whilst looking chic was not very comfortable and we seemed unable to access very much on the tv. A job would have been useful.

Die Unterkunft wir richtig gut eingerichtet und super ausgestattet. Wir hatten regelmäßig Kängurus in direkter Sichtweite gehabt - einfach toll!!! Der Pool war klasse und die Vermieter waren super nett. Es war eine tolle Zeit für uns.

• Jaime (10/5): Exceptional views with a breathtaking infinity pool - Amazing view, most beautiful pool I’ve ever seen, really exceptional decorated and maintained cabana. We loved it here! Hosts were really caring and friendly too. That we didn’t get to stay longer - it was amazing!!

• Jonathan (10/5): Would gladly stay again - Location is incredible. I loved the style of the room as well. Loved walking around and playing the the horses. The only observation we didn't like were the small gaps in the curtains/blinds. Not a huge deal (to me) but partner wasn't so happy.

• bek (10/5): - Beautiful location, with access to the pool and lake. We went for a kayak to Avoca beach and had lunch It was an awesome day. Short drive to terrigal or Avoca. Very peaceful and relaxing would definitely recommend.

They also own a horse riding business and riding arena is directly below studio. We found it peaceful watching the horses and students practice but think this should be stated on website.

• Beth (8/5): - Lovely setting overlooking the property, rainforest and ocean in the distance. Convenient location between Avoca and Terrigal. Spacious open plan kitchen/lounge/dining and bedroom room plus bathroom. The weather prevented us from exploring the property so it would be nice to visit again. Sarndie was very responsive when there was a slight glitch opening the front gate. Easy check out. It was a little tricky finding the property in the dark as the road you turn off is very busy and you can only see the sign for the accommodation once in the driveway. A new electric fry pan would be handy in the kitchen as it was a bit wet to BBQ!

• Grant (8/5): Overall the day was great good location very central and also very private.  - Nice open quiet space to relax and was close to all local amenities. Bernie the dog was very cute and playful. Getting up close with the horses was also a great experience. The bed was uncomfortable.

• Carmel (7/5): Good - The Cabana had a great long distance outlook to the sea. We spent a few days not leaving the place and enjoyed the surroundings. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was located in the hills outside Terrigal, however getting in and out of the property on such a busy road was problematic. The furniture in the Cabana needs to be updated the lounge and chairs have seen their day and have long since lost their spring. The main house is closely located to the Cabana and lacked that feeling of privacy.

• Ellen (9/5): Wow! What an amazing property. Just perfect for a much-needed short getaway. - Loved the villa and the outlook. We did not speak with anyone else there, and only saw one other person in a car, which was great. The decor was beautiful and good quality, and the kitchen was exceptionally equipped with cutlery, plates and glassware. There was nothing worthy of making a complaint or leaving a bad review about. However, there was only one towel in the bathroom on arrival and no floor mat, so we made do with the beach towels (and others were delivered to the door the next day). The kitchen bin was not emptied on arrival (thankfully only a couple of cardboard packages). I may have missed it, but there was no mention of Bernie on the website. As someone afraid of dogs, I was very anxious to read how large the dog was and that there was a chance she would jump and nip. We didn't meet Bernie, but I was petrified at the thought, although I'm sure she is a lovely animal.

I loved waking to views of the horses and in the evenings feeling comforted by the beautiful trees and rainforest setting I only wish I’d had more time to make use of the gorgeous bbq garden setting I’ll definitely be going back to the Cabana with someone special! As a solo traveler, I was very appreciative of Sarndies assistance - a lovely host indeed Leaving

Lots of facilities that we didn't utilise (kayaks, walk around property, horse riding) Continous traffic noise from the Highway meant very poor sleep both nights of our stay (had louvre windows). Access to the Cabana was not ideal for carrying luggage from the parking area and across the wet grass. We travel extensively and don't normally leave reviews.

• Ashleigh (6/5): Overpriced dated cabana - Beautiful rural view Unique property Great pool 1. The overall privacy is poor, the main house looks directly at the cabana and also overlooks the pool. At all times it felt like we were being watched and not able to relax. Even though the blinds are blockout, it still felt really exposed this could be improved with some trees or hedges between the Cabana and the house. 2. The swimming pool, although stunning and the best feature, is clearly the main houses swimming pool, you are required to walk within a few meters of the main houses back door and then down the stairs to access. It felt like we were sneaking into someone else's swimming pool and would be joined by other people any minute. This could be improved by entry from the cabana and more privacy / higher hedges between the main house and pool view. 3. The couch is tiny, the back of the couch is lumpy and uncomfortable, it had a damp smell. It has clearly never been properly steam cleaned, although that would not get around the fact it is tiny and uncomfortable given the cabana is marketed as a couple's retreat. 4. The bed is rock hard, I woke up with a painful shoulder and had two poor nights sleep. 5. Although really clean the overall appearance and layout of the cabana looking tired and dated with old furniture, the TV is crooked and hasn't been installed properly hanging to the side badly, the remote controls have bits of sticky tape hanging off them. Great location, has potential to be wonderful with some updates. But overall not worth the price.

• Roxy (7/5): A beautifully rough gem in need of some polishing - Property is beautiful and appreciated that we could use the pool, try some horse riding or kayak if we wanted to. Lots to look at and wildlife. Lovely gesture of wine and snacks. Although the property is beautiful, i don't feel the accommodation itself is 5 star for the following reasons: Communication - no response to 2 calls/messages for assistance (snake and life vests for kayaks) Dirty floors No warning signs of animals and leeches Pathway unsigned/marked Uncomfortable bed and pillows Rough towels Suggestions for restaurants out of date as a few have been permanently closed for a while No tea or coffee but milk provided 1 mini bottle of water in fridge for 2 people Needs some finesse and attention to detail to give it a luxury, 5 star feel.

• Yaz (6/5): Beautiful but not private - Stunning view and a well appointed room. Certainly not what I would call private. The Cabana was detached from the main house but only by a couple of meters. The owners had a direct view into the room and over the pool.
