• Nikhil (9/5): Please choose this stay.. it’s excellent. - Peggy was a Very nice host, she’s very pleasant and accommodating. She’s a wonderful person as well. About the property, it’s a room on the ground floor, very good location if you prefer staying around local Dutch people. The property looks exactly like in pictures and very neat. It’s a small room with no separate bathroom with the shower cubicle in the room. However, there is a separate toilet. But Peggy being a very good host, masks it all and makes it very comfortable.

Elle nous a recommandé des sorties et des endroits où nous restaurer La chambre, petite à première vue, est équipée très confortablement et la rue est très très paisible ! Notre hôtesse veillait à ce que nous ayons du café chaque jour 😊 Le quartier, très vivant mais calme, nous a charmés. Le métro et le tram sont proches, ce qui rend les déplacements très aisés. The metro was also very near whom made getting around the city easy and convenient. Peggy, the host was amazing - very friendly and gave the best recommendations. The room was very cozy and perfect for a short stay.

The unit was super cozy and welcoming, and included everything we needed and more! Lots of restaurants and shops around that are open late, and super close to public transport. • Maarja (9/5): Nice room near the city center! - Room is small, but everything what is needed is available. Bed is very comfortable, I had very good sleep there. Host, Peggy was very friendly and super helpful, we got lots of tips for dining and sightseeing. Room is located near to city center, we walked everywhere, not needed to use public transport.

• Laura (8/5): Perfect place for single travelers. - Peggy was absolutely wonderful and provided us with recommendations about what to do and where to eat. The accommodation is less than a five minute walk to the metro station and from there you can get to all parts of Amsterdam. It is in a wonderful neighborhood with shops, restaurants and a farmers market. Buy a tourist metro card (TT card) if you are arriving or leaving through the airport. We paid 30 euros for a three day pass and saved so much money on transportation. Would definitely recommend this property for single travelers. Was a little bit too small for a couple. WIFI was very spotty so if you need it to work, keep that in mind.

She gave us all the tips and great suggestions for food, fun and etc… Location was based on a great neighborhood with full of cafes, restaurants, markets and stations. It’s closed to museums area(15mins by walking)

• Roberts (2/5): One night nightmare. - Location is really good, no doubts. Entrance from the street is convenient. Hostes very friendly when I moved in. Although space is very small (basically one room 13m2 with shower cabin standing in one corner, and WC right in front of bed) it would be ok for one person. Main problem with my stay was very specific SMELL in the room, seems from some kind of mold because of moisture from shower cabin and non existant ventilation (you're allowed to keep window open only when someone is in the apartment). This SMELL was so bad, that when trying to sleep I felt every breath(I'm not allergic or anything like this happened to me before). Because of this SMELL I couldn't get any sleep. When tried to talk about this to hostes, she looked very surprised and even didn't want to hear my advice how this could be fixed quite easy. I booked room for 6 nights but had to leave in the morning after one night(nightmare). Hostes promised to cancel my booking same morning, but in reality charged me for 3 nights, and didn't respond to phone calls or any messages after I left. All situation turned out very frustrating and dissapointing because of hostes attitude. Price I payed was same as for 5 star hotel near around, absolutely not appropriate for what you get.

• Izabele (10/5): It was very unique experience. - It was amazing experience to live in Peggy's Guesthouse. She was very warm and helpful, gave a lot of reccomendations where we can go for breakfast, dinner and excursions. The location is so good - you can walk everywhere, around the corner a lot of restorants with so delicious food. The apartment is near the street, but the stree it very calm. We could feel what it really means to live in Amsterdam near park, near so nice streets. We are really very very happy, that we did not choose some standart hotel room.

What truly set this guest house apart was Peggy's exceptional care and attention to her guests. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Her genuine kindness and willingness to assist with any request made us feel like we were staying with a dear friend rather than in a traditional accommodation. Peggy's knowledge of Amsterdam was invaluable as she provided us with insider tips on the best places to visit, eat, and explore in the city. Her recommendations led us to discover hidden gems that we would have otherwise missed. It was evident that she genuinely cared about our experience in Amsterdam and wanted us to make the most of our time there. Overall, I cannot recommend this guest house enough. The apartment had everything we needed and much more - there were umbrellas and raincoats for us to use conveniently, cards, plus coffee supplied everyday. The owner was simply amazing, taking care of us everyday and helping us with everything about the city, the best places to eat and how the public transport works as well. We're looking forward to coming back in the future.

• Nina (9/5): Superb - Guesthouseamsterdam is a B&B with a perfect location in the very heart of Amsterdam and at the same time situated in a quiet and pleasant street. It has perfect transport options - metro and trams. Although the room is on the ground floor we did not experience any noise or inconveniences from the street. Peggy was a perfect host. She assisted us in every aspect. She made us feel at home. The B&B has all the necessary utilities: shower cabin, bathroom, coffee machine, etc. I would recommend it to younger persons that do not seek hotel luxuries.

It wasn't our first time in Dam, but It was the best thanks also to the tranquility of having a nice and clean room (which is not a given in Amsterdam). The area is served by all types of services and transport, even at night. In short: highly recommended 😁
