• Andrew (9/5): Highly recommended. - Excellent location. Very good bed. Great host. Need either screens in the windows or working AC. It was great warm weather so we needed the windows open to stay cool, and there were a lot of mosquitoes.

• PHILIPPE (8/5): - Je tiens d'abord à souligner la grande compréhension et la gentillesse de Patrick qui a tout fait pour rendre notre séjour agréable malgré le désagrément des multiples étages. Il s'agit en fait de chambres dans une maison très ancienne, maison typiquement florentine, pleine de caractère et bien située pour explorer la ville à pied. Je décris l'endroit comme une « maison privée », plus proche d’un chez-soi que d’un hôtel classique, idéal pour les voyageurs en quête d'authenticité et de calme. Cependant, il y a un point majeur à signaler, l'accès aux chambres est accessible uniquement par un escalier mais le nombre d'étage n'est pas mentionné, ce qui peut être un critère et des caractéristiques à prendre en compte pour les personnes aux genoux fragiles ou les familles avec poussettes ou simplement ceux qui ont des bagages lourds. Nous avons découvert sur place que la chambre se situait au 3ème étage et il est important de le savoir à l'avance, mais j'avoue que Patrick a été aux petits soins, ainsi que l'amabilité de la dame qui nous a réceptionné à notre arrivée. The room was clean and the host was very welcoming. The countertop and sink upstairs and the kitchen downstairs made it very easy to enjoy a simple meal with a gorgeous view of the dome. Waking up with daylight coming in through the panoramic windows was a treat.

• Ashley (10/5): One of a kind stay steps from the Duomo. Would highly recommend! - Le Tre Stanze is truly a unique and special place to say. Patrick has put so much care into decorating every inch of his home and it shows. He is also very kind - helped us with our bags up and down the stairs, frequently checked in on our stay, and made us feel very at home. And you can't beat the location - literally steps from the Duomo. We loved waking up to the bells of the cathedral ringing each morning! No complaints! The stairs would have hard to navigate alone with our big suitcases, but Patrick was glad to help!

• Michael (10/5): Our first time in Italy, staying here right in the heart of Florence made it amazing!!! - Patrick was the most helpful and congenial host! He helped two exhausted travelers get to their museum reservation on time, helped with our luggage, arranged taxi pick up for us and had very good recommendations on where to dine. Our room was wonderful, the patio was lovely! Can't think of a thing, other than a few extra steps after a long day out and about!
• Nicole (9/5): Beautiful apartment, wonderful upstairs room with terrace. Loved it! - The location is perfect, 1/2 block from the Duomo. The apartment was charming and our room was very spacious. Decor was lovely and the room was very clean, with a comfortable bed. I loved the large windows and being woken at 7 by the bells from the tower nearby. Air conditioning worked well when needed. Patrick was welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely come back!! This property is not for everyone. The building is old (which I found charming), there is no lift (4 flights of stairs), the bathroom is small, and you do not lock your room when you leave (though can lock when you are in the room). There are 2-3 locked doors (depending on time of day) to get to the apartment. I never felt unsafe but everyone has a different tolerance.
• Sophie (10/5): Dreamy in the best possible way, such a beautiful and special place - This was possibly the most magical place I've had the pleasure of laying my head! Our room was on the top floor with a balcony view of the duomo, but the interior design was what I really fell in love with - from the beautiful tiled corridor on entrance, vintage postcards, antiquities, lace curtains - it was a feast for the eyes and somewhere I would dream to live. Patrick was very jovial and accomodating and we can't wait to return to Florence to hopefully stay again in such an enchanting place. nothing! Everything was amazing - the location was so central!

The design is incredibly thoughtful and intentional - I really felt like I was staying within an art museum or on the film set of a 1960s Italian film. So cinematic. Every corner is begging to be photographed. Will be day dreaming about our stay here for a long time! Patrick was a very friendly and accommodating host. 10/10.

Decor made it feel as though you are in someone's home and it felt very comfortable. Stairwell completely dark at night. Not sure if a light was burned out or what. We got by with our phone flashlights.
• KAVITA (10/5): Perfect location, wonderful stay! - The location was absolutely spectacular...can't get any closer to the Duomo! The street, however, was very quiet, even with being in such a central location. The rooms & beds were very comfortable. Well equipped, shared kitchen, with everything one needed. Patrick, the owner, is an extremely considerate host, who ensured that our stay was comfortable and that we had access to everything we needed. He was always available for any advice. We also greatly appreciated his help with our suitcases (the rooms were on the 2nd floor, without an elevator). He was kind enough to help us, not only when we arrived, but also when we were leaving (at the crack of dawn!) - and he even waited with us for our taxi to arrive. Hosts like Patrick are rare, so many MANY thanks to him for his kindness throughout our stay! We loved everything.
• Aoife (9/5): A really unique, one of a kind stay. - Fantastic location, wonderfully atmospheric place. Host was very welcoming and helpful. Comfortable bed, lots of space, had everything we needed. There is nothing bad to say about this place. My only gripe is that it was sometimes noisy at night time, but that was unavoidable considering it was right in the heart of the city. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs!

• V (9/5): Old world charm and hospitality the best I’ve seen! - Perfectly located to major sites. Old world charm inside and out of the property. Owner/ caretaker was very helpful in obtaining taxi service. Instructions as to how to enter the property upon arrival were a bit confusing. Outside Door was locked and wasn’t able to access bell to alert owner we arrived. A phone call solved it though.

• Iain (10/5): The most perfect place to stay in central Firenze - An absolute gem right in the heart of Florence and we absolutely enjoyed our stay at Le Tre Stanze. The location is ideal—just a 100-metres from to the Duomo! Notwithstanding the property being so central it was wonderfully quite being so central. Patrick is a great host, . From the moment I booked, I asked loads of questions online and not once did I have to wait more than a few minutes for a full and comprehensive reply. Patrick = when we return to Florence, we’ll almost certainly stay here again.

• Michelle (10/5): We love this place! - Our whole family was absolutely delighted with our stay at Le Tre Stanze. The location is perfectly central—just a 100-metre stroll to the Duomo! Despite being so central, it was wonderfully quiet, which is essential for a good night’s rest while travelling. What I loved most was the top-floor room with the terrace. It’s huge, with two sides tall windows and a comfortable terrace that we all adored. I also want to highlight how friendly our host Patrick was. From the moment I booked, I asked him with questions online several times. He gave every answer with genuin care and he replied very fast. On the day we left Florence, we stored our luggages in the apartment. When we were ready to depart, Patrick came back to the partment and helped to call us a taxi—something that would have been tricky for us to do ourselves. My 11-year old daughter loves this apartment very much and expressed her envy to Patrick’s lifestyle—being able to manage his own time and live so relaxed. Thank you, Patrick! If we return to Florence, we’ll almost certainly stay here again. Besides the room with the terrace, the only thing that could have made the other room perfect was a kettle. Even without one, Patrick kindly let us use his kitchen, which was fully stocked with everything we needed.

Patrick is friendly and helpful, and has decorated the place beautifully! We felt right at home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with access to a kitchen as well. The apartment is a short walk from the Duomo and within 10 minutes walking from most other museums and things to do, it was very convenient! I would just note as some others have, you are unable to lock the door to your individual room while out during the day, it has an internal latch for when you are inside but once out you can’t lock it. There were other people staying in another apartment while we were there and it wasn’t a problem, however just to be aware.

• Styrmir (10/5): Excellent, the room or loft is so beautiful and it's a great location too. - We loved our stay at Le Tre Stanze, we were traveling for work so we spent a fair bit of time in the room and that was made so much more enjoyable by the fact that it's so beautiful and we also appreciated the fact that we could easily explore some of the city and eat good food with out having to do a lot of walking since we had limited time. It bothered us a little bit not to be able to lock the room itself while we were out since we think there were other guests staying in the apartment at the same time but truly it was not a problem, our stuff was save and the apartment itself was very secure and we actually never notice anyone else staying there a part from the owner of course.

Our room, at the top of the house, was huge with high windows and lovely terrace. I’ve been to Florence many times and never stayed anywhere quite like this. There is a sense of nostalgia and romanticism about the property, which one dreams of when visiting Italy but is very difficult to find. I would absolutely visit again. Everything was perfect.

It is close to everything: mere steps from the Duomo and a short walk to just about everything else. The property is quite poetic at the top of an old building. Our room was at the very top with a little terrace like an aerie among the rooftops of old Florence. Patrick is very kind and helpful. It was a little bright for me with all the windows, but I managed with a sleeping mask.

• Isabel (8/5): A home away from home with great character and integrity. - Quiet and so peaceful but so close (3 minutes) to the Duomo and therefore the rest of this city’s beautiful centre. Patrick is a great host and wet loved the feeling of staying in a private home rather than a hotel. Our room was enormous and full of character. A totally unique stay. The weather during our stay was so cold and wet it would have been nice for the room to be warmer and to have been able to turn on the heating in the evenings. Also, our bed was quite hard but that’s probably about me being old (in my late fifties) and creaky so younger people shouldn’t find that a problem. Truly, we loved it here and Patrick is a great host with a beautiful home.
