Guest Reviews
- Gabriele (5/5): Nice staff but the building is degraded - Great position and the staff was very nice and welcoming but the building and the rooms were extremely dirty and not cosy at all. There is no lift within the structure and the stairs are narrow and dirty. The whole building is very old and it actually looks abandoned. I would recommend staying here just for a short staying (one or two nights) because of its great position.
- Masipatunia (8/5): staying among La rambla near plaza Catalunya - Stuff good, authentic location
It is ok for us all the facilities because the small price for staying among La Rambla. Location is very very good, near Piazza Catalunya. It is an old building with all old inside, so if you want a luxury staying pay x4 price. Everyone can find minuses if you are looking for them.
- Timothy (5/5): Passable -
- Srinivas (3/5): Poor - It's not value for money Bathrooms
- Mohib (7/5): Good -
- Hrishikesh (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (1/5): my stay there was nothing but a disaster - there was nothing i liked there was 52 steps up the the room, the floor, walls, all surfaces, were very dirty,no air condition,no tv,a shared bathrooms with other rooms, that also was very dirty, caretaker stayed in a room near by,smoked all night long which could smell in the quests rooms, seen no smoke alarms in rooms or anywhere that is a very likely fire danger, the others quests that i talked to were also very disappointed in the rooms and service, this listing puts your company in a bad light,i would like to talk to someone about a refund of money i spent ,if there no chance of refund,i will never use to book again and would discourage any one i know not to use either
- Majid (1/5): Bad -
- Jemimah (7/5): Good -
- Gregorio (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect spot. easy to reach and they also allowed me to lock my e-bike (small) inside. Very good experience room was a little small but on the other side it was very cheap.
- Lubo (7/5): Good - The place is clean, not best but definitely not problem, it is ok
- Paula (6/5): Very friendly staff and right off La ramblas. - N/A
- Nurmukhamed (5/5): Passable -
- Karolina (2/5): Very poor -
- Chris (6/5): Pleasant -
- Williams (5/5): Passable - Easy to find, and the checking in procedure was simple and friendly. With this accommodation you get what you pay for, nothing more and nothing less. Perfect for people on a budget or short stays where you won't be spending much time at the accommodation. The airport bus (aerobus) drops you off about a 3 minute walk from the accommodation, so perfect for those who wish to use the bus. Due to the close proximity of a very busy area with bars and restaurants in the city, it's very noisy into the early hours of the morning. But if you aren't bothered by the noise, then this is the perfect place.
- Oksana (9/5): I recommend it. Central, clean, not expensive - Everything was very clean and tidy, minimum package for a 2-3 night stay.We had new towels, clean bed linen. No foreign odours.Warm and clean.I read reviews before checking in and I was scared. But everything was fine.Plus nice guy at reception, spoke English, explained and showed everything.Very easy to find this hotel by map,no problems.I am satisfied Small window to the inner courtyard. But it was not even a problem. For airing it is enough and I did not come to look through the window, + it is the technology of the building structure.
- Jeerawat (5/5): Passable -
- Abdelaziz (2/5): No comment - No comment This hotel should not be on the site
- Yiqun (1/5): Bad -
- Dave (7/5): For a one night stay perfectly adequate - Location
- David (7/5): Good -
- Gerald (1/5): Bad - Location
- Elyamani (5/5): Not good - Only location
- Fairuj (3/5): Poor - Nothing The bed is so disgusting also they didn’t provide duvet they just give us a dirty blanket
- Манжос (1/5): A spoiled impression of Barcelona - Nothing The room does not match the one in the photo.
- Ayokunle (1/5): The hotel is dirty and not clean and doesn’t worth being called a hotel the property need an inspect - Dirty and not clean The building should be inspected as it does not meet hotel standards
- Vasko (6/5): Pleasant -
- Henrique (2/5): Very poor -
- Andrea (4/5): If you dont have so much money but want to travel sooo badly to BCN, it can be okay for 1-2 nights. - Near to famous places like La Rambla and Pl Catalunya, location is absolutely fine. Bed was comfortable. The room has been dark, no windows with a view, poor lighting (cold lights which is quite depressing), walls have some stains, cigarette butts in the windows frame. If you have high hopes in cleanliness, it's not your place.
- Beth (1/5): Not great - location everything else
- Syed (3/5): Poor -
- Damla (3/5): Very old hotel, incredibly loud street - The staff was nice It is impossible to sleep while you have a roadside room this street does NOT sleep we were exhausted during the trip. The rooms are old and not cleaner properly we couldnt walk without the shoes in the room
- Ana (7/5): Practical - The location was excelent and the staff was nice Is not as neat as in the pictures, the bathroom could be nicer
- Allen (5/5): My place Dani - Nothing in particular except for its location . 1- 4 lots of stairs to climb
2- Lack of fire escape
3- Lack of kitchen facilities- not even a kettle
4- Flimsy room door- noise permeated easily
5- Lack of hot water facilities- hot water is only isolated in the bathroom.
6- Well I think l like best are the oil paintings hung on the wall. Oh! and of course the Chinese vases B 4 l forget.
- Dominika (6/5): If you want good location because you will not stay much in this room it’s okey - Location Very pricey and diffrent from photos
- Maia (1/5): Bad - Nothing at all Extremely poor! We did not stay there, because the facility was somehow scaring - empty, with no sound of living spirits, filthy, with frightening man looking like a drug dealer, with a window looking out into a well - no day-light and no sign of any street. We felt like locked up where no one could help us if anything happened. We felt ourselves as traffiсking victims. We left this place in several minutes and felt like we survived the most terrible experience in our lives.
My advice would be to remove this facility from your list, as it is damaging your reputation.
Respectfully,
Maia Kobiashvili

- Tsvetelina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francis (7/5): That place is good for singles especially to locate Pensión you have to take the long steps. - The location was perfect and movement to the city was fine. Just 6mins walk to the bus station to airport. No stress in finding bus from the location of the hotel. Perfect location and the owner was a nice person. It was okay for a short stay nothing much.
- Blaž (1/5): Horrible - Location nothing else Eveything else. So creepy. Not clean, noisy small. Everything is disgusting
- Vlatko (4/5): Disappointing -
- Arta (1/5): Bad -
- Vesna (3/5): Poor -
- Bunting (3/5): Superb location but an unpleasant experience as far as the accommodation was concerned. - Location was exceptional and the gentleman who received us was kind. Linen was clean. The room was an inside room with a small window which opened up into an interior well which was occupied by scaffolding equipment and there was no through draft. The shower and bathroom had mould in it and the water pressure was so bad that it only allowed for either a too hot shower or a too cold shower….no in-between. The room was hot and humid, and had a musty smell - even the fan brought little relief hereof!!!I would suggest that this accommodation was over priced. Sadly, I would not stay here again.
- Doha (1/5): Bad -
- Yevheniia (9/5): this is a great accommodation with a very good location in the city centre. old renovation, but for this price and locat -
- Xheni (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sudan (6/5): Pleasant -
- April (5/5): Passable -
- Hanna (1/5): Terrible - Location Everything. Starting from reception room facilities, bathroom is the worst, and when you enter to Hotel it’s reminds you some drug den..
In the room I found personal clothes predecessors. I don’t recommend this place.
Terrible, and no worth money I paid.
- Kate (3/5): Not suitable for families. - Staff were very friendly The property is old and rundown and not particularly clean
- Elvin (1/5): Bad -
- Tianna (5/5): for the value it is decent. - The room was big and clean. it was very cheap and barcelona is very expensive. Location is great bc it is right off the La Rambla but it is a 4th floor walk up. the room was so hot and the fan did nothing. I woke up in a pool of sweat. A lot of reviews complained about the building it is just old but it was clean.
- Ani (5/5): Passable - Location It was dirty, dark and old.
- Melania (1/5): Bad -
- Lorenzo (6/5): Pleasant -
- Diletta (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jacob (5/5): You get what you paid for -
- Mara (7/5): Good -
- Yulia (8/5): You get what you pay for - Central location, room had a balcony, pretty clean, bed was comfortable. Pretty loud neighbourhood, facility is very basic and simple, receptionist was smoking inside.
- Elisa (3/5): Avoid it - The best thing would be the central position, if the Rambla were a pleasant place. The neighbors are filthy and dangerous. Lots of robbers everywhere The room was so wet that bedsheets were wet too! I thought they put them on the bed before drying them, but it was the incredible humidity in the room!
The bathroom was beyond imagination. Dust everywhere.
I slept with my clothes on.
- Ross (3/5): Stay if on budget and its just for a night - Located on the Ramblas Hard to locate entrance, Graffiti on walls going up stair case, could barely open door to room to get inside, walls were unclean. Window closed but so loud downstairs on street couldn't sleep.
- Malik (1/5): Bad -
- Majdalaalash (1/5): Bad - Nothing The room was very dirty and smells very bad , no A.C in the room the photos you see in booking they are not real . Very bad quality in general.
- Georgia (5/5): Ok - Good location Not very clean and room was very damp
- Paul (5/5): Passable - This accommodation is located on the Ramblas and that is a great location. However, the facilities are old and not too clean and the staff do not speak English. It is a below average accommodation and not meant for a long stay.
- Philip (3/5): Good value for just staying, if you’re using it for quite long time, it’s not worth it - Good location Very uncomfortable. The bedding was just wet, staff didn’t speak English therefore communication was hard. There’s no windows just empty room. The pictures didn’t look the same as the actual hotel
- Taylor (1/5): The worst place I have ever stayed in my life. - Nothing only stayed two nights of the four and got none of our money back. This property should be taken off the website Not as described, dirty. Shared bathroom was rundown and old, not a safe place to stay for anyone. The rooms were not like the pictures whatsoever and we were locked in a room without a window. Truly would not pay $20 to stay here let alone what we paid
- Eunice (6/5): Pleasant -
- Virgjina (1/5): Ruined my holiday in Barcelona - Nothing, very disappointed with Booking.com how they can offer such a bad place Everything, room, entry, bathroom and on top of all very rood staff
- Pedro (6/5): Pleasant -
- Oscar (3/5): Poor - The receptionist was kind and even helped us with our luggage after checkout at no extra cost. The place was a mess. The building was under renovation, so there was dust and debris everywhere. The building was very old with a moldy scent all around. The cleanliness was questionable. It was even hard to breathe. The land lord was very kind but that did not compensate much considering the place conditions and price.
- Andy (1/5): Creepy staff and dirty facilities will make you feel inside a Silent Hill game. - The location is the only good thing of this place. Booking asks to write 2 more sentences about what I liked about the place. But I have nothing left to say. The room is very dirty. Towels and bedsheets have some stains. I doubt they ever clean anything. The bathroom, rooms, and toilet look like a Silent Hill location. Everything is old, almost ancient. Black stains are everywhere. The floor in the room looked like they never wash it.
I met two guys from the staff. The younger one always smokes cigarettes inside the hotel, even in front of guests, and is very rude. Even at night, he was talking on the phone with some woman, and since the walls are very thin, it's hard to fall asleep. The old man seems to be nice at first but in the end was as rude as the other man. For instance, at check-out, I wanted to sit and rest before leaving, but he prohibited me from sitting in the chair near the front desk.
The only advantage of this place is the location, which is 1 minute from La Rambla.
- Marta (6/5): Pleasant - Worth it for the location. It wasn’t very clean, was loud and bed not very comfortable.
- Kelly (5/5): Stayed for a night on a long layover. Great location and price but probably wouldn’t stay for longer - Location was great and check in flexible but be aware it is a hostel and cleanliness is not the best. Our room was fine but did see some others that could have been a lot better
- Gilbert (2/5): Very poor -
- Prvulovic (3/5): Poor - Too noisy at night and the apartmant was not very clean.
- Tatjana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Yousef (7/5): Good -
- 9999ormrgilbert (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nataliya (6/5): Pleasant -
- Regina (2/5): If you book a hotel is way better than that. - Nothing The room was dirty, we were afraid to even lay on the bed.
The building caused a negative impact, it was simply scary, specially because we arrived during the night.
There was only two bathroom for the N Rooms in the pension.
We barely slept since we felt so unsafe, not to mention we could hear everything outside the nights the music.
There was drug seller on the pension alley, we actually felt fear.
For the price tag tt was a nightmare, we paid 68€ + 20€ (10 for late arrival and the other 10€ Municipality tourism tax).
The so called stay left us drained and we couldn't wait to check in elsewhere, wasting a day trip.
- Piret (1/5): I think it is not worth 50.- per night plus citytax 14,60 they asked. - The receptionist was nice. The room was not the same like on the pictures. I will add the picture of my room. It was extremely small.
- Ash (1/5): Bad -
- Mensinga (1/5): Bad - Nothing The stairs, the filth, the graffiti, the facilities.
- Loreta (6/5): Pleasant - Location the noise at night from the street
- Mitzi (1/5): Didn't even make it up the stairs. - Nothing went well. We arrived just before midnight after a long day of travel. When we got buzzed in the door, the entryway was dilapidated and scrawled with graffiti. The stairway was so narrow that we were struggling to get our bags up it, so I called out loud for help (my sister and I are 70 and 60 years old, respectively.) The host looked down at us from 3 stories up and said "It's not my problem." So we turned around and left and found another hotel.
- Justyna (1/5): Bad -
- Olga (1/5): Bad - Awfully!!! Nothing! Pictures no suit with reality!!! No answer during 2 days, rude admin. Asked several times that I come with child at night, if the do late check out or no…no answer ( direkt messages and calls). Then costs plus 20 euro at place with words “ late check in-read the rules”. So dirty, hairs and insects, no windows, bed smell, no any connection and other awful things! Never go there!
- Julian (8/5): Very good -
- Floriana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sonila (8/5): Great price/value! - The location was great!!
The host was very friendly and welcoming 😊
- Paula (3/5): did the job barely. - foam mattress was comfortable for me. plenty of coat-hangers available . The had liquid hand soap in room and bathroom. last place didnt so it was appreciated only choose to stay here for the location to old area and if you are on a tight budget. it needs so much updating to list, a coat of paint doesnt cost much these-days. it is very noisy all night. between door buzzer phones doors and voices count on about 1 to hrs. next time i would book a dormitory situation and have cleaner facilities. You have to climb up about 10 flights of stairs so if you have heavy suitcases avoid. i thought it was 2nd floor but its at the top.
- Lana (3/5): Poor - location the owner living in the same facility, we shared a bathroom with him and his parents
- Muhammad (2/5): poor - not worth the money old furniture n building
- Benard (1/5): I booked two night but I left there the next day - Very poor place Everything, only that’s is located in the middle of the city old building and is in bad order
- Damyan (5/5): If you are after a cheap stay at top location , it is the perfect place - Location is perfect. We had a balcony with our room, but they were doing some refurbishing outside the building and there was a scaffolding so the balcony was pretty much useless
- Nino (4/5): Disappointing -
- Puscasu (8/5): The staff was amazing 🤩… but the building needs to be renovated as soon as possible 😬 - The staff 👍 and location
- Emanuel (3/5): Poor -
