• martha (10/5): Great! Bob and sherry couldn’t be more helpful as hosts ! - Great little cottage hidden away and with a big yard! Very cozy and kitchen well equipped. Spotlessly clean. We’re going back again in a few weeks!
• X (9/5): Peaceful oasis to unwind - Very spacious and cozy space. The owner is very thoughtful and stock the place with everything to make us feel at home. I love the location too. It is close to coffee shops, shopping and community center. I wish there is a toilet upstairs near the bedroom. It was quite a long walk to use the toilet at night.

There’s everything one would need. Without a car it’s difficult to get around, especially with going downtown. Location

• Barbara (10/5): Convenient, comfortable stay in Countenay. - Great communication with the property prior to arriving and it was easy to find. Nice to have parking right there. The space is very large and has everything you need. I especially enjoyed sitting outside looking into the garden and reading my book in a very comfortable chair complete with a cozy blanket. No complaints whatsoever.

• Shirley (9/5): Excellent stay, wish we could have stayed longer. - The property as described as a Garden House and I was expecting some sort of garden shed. It turned out to be a big surprise and the property as lovely. The photos do not do is justice. There was nothing that I disliked.

• WAYNE (9/5): - The gardens are beautiful and very peaceful. The location was central for our needs. The stairs up to the bedroom because of my physical abilities at the time. I didn’t realize there were stairs when I booked.
• Angie (10/5): The perfect place that has it all! privacy, beautiful gardens, great hosts, and close to everything - I book this location for our horse show judges each year, and each and every one has commented on how lovely it is, and that the host is so gracious and friendly. The location is perfect, and close to our event venue at the Exhibition Grounds. The garden is so beautiful, and you have the accommodations all to yourself. My advice is to book well in advance, as the days get taken quickly.. I will be booking our 2026 dates asap. Thank-you! everything is perfect!

• Fm (9/5): Lovely spot for a good night's sleep - This place was like coming to a favourite aunt and uncle's with their welcome to use all the amenities including a private back porch, not to mention fresh cherries! Everything felt comfy and there was more than the basic necessities in this spacious, fully furnished, two-storey apartment. Definitely a place you could stay long term. And true to the name, the gardens are a treat!

• Linda (10/5): What a gem. - The welcome from Bob and Sherry was very warm and friendly. The house had absolutely everything you would possibly need for your stay. Washer, dryer, full stove and full size fridge. It was super comfortable and a great location just up the road from the shops. Parking was in the driveway. The garden was the perfect place to sit and enjoy the sun. Loved the reading material that was available. Absolutely nothing.

• Terrance (10/5): Excellent ... great hosts - Hidden gem. The hosts were absolutely smashing. The location is an easy drive to Mount Washington. The neighborhood is quiet and residential. Walking trails surround the Lake House. Full kitchen, excellent shower, two televisions one in living room and one in the upstairs bedroom. There is a spacious backyard with a sliding door from the living room. The bedroom upstairs has a large desk, and is comfortable and welcoming. My new go to place in Courtenay!!! • Harry (2/5): Nice unit, unpleasant host - Nice unit with garden and well-equipped kitchen On booking, we asked for scent-free products but experienced an allergic reaction the first night and had to check out a day early. The host seems to have a different understanding of "scent-free" rather than using, for example, unscented laundry detergent and supplying unscented products such as hand and dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. A verbal request for a one-night refund seemed possible initially but the host's later messages turned defensive and accusatory. The host did offer a refund subject to a new rental that same evening. But you can't re-rent a booked unit without first refunding and cancelling it via booking.com. Overall a negative encounter with an unpleasant host. Postscript: accusing us of leaving a stench is so ironic. Like I said, an unpleasant host.

• Darren (10/5): The next time I need to stay over in Courtenay I'll book here and I will suggest the same to others - Very spacious quiet nook surrounded by trees. The kitchen had everything we needed and the well decorated rooms were complete with a very comfortable bed. Bob also went over and above to welcome us and accommodate our parking of a moving truck. He could have stopping it raining so much. Well maybe not.

They allowed me access early which really helped me out as I had an engagement with family I had to get to. Definitely will use this place again. Simply amazing.
