Guest Reviews
- Emma (8/5): - Very nice and comfortable room and great balcony. The bathroom is not attached to the room and out in the corridor but very private so was not an issue. Fantastic location very close to old town. There are some steps to get to the apartment but wasn't a problem for us. The lady who greeted us was very lovely - even despite our bus being delayed and having to wait a long time for our arrival As we visited in early May the nights were sometimes a bit chilly so would have liked to have a duvet in the room. Wasn't a massive issue as there were a few blankets to use instead, just a personal preference.

- Mirjam (10/5): Excellent place near the beaches and old town - Really good option to stay, quiet location but very close to the beaches and old town. Nice big room with balcony and private bathroom, very good water pressure and hot water always available, AC is working good. Balcony was our favorite, nice views to the city and sea :) Clean and comfortable bed, lots of towels to be used (we asked and it was allowed to take them also to the beach). Thanks to the small refrigerator we always had cold drinks and electric kettle was good to be used for making morning coffee in the balcony with fresh pastries from the small shop just going few steps down to the street. There was many plates and other kitchen utensils available (knives-forks-spoons, wine opener, drinking classes, coffee mugs, cutting board etc) to make snacks or to have ready-to-eat meals. Very kind hosts, highly recommended :) Nothing negative to say. People are complaining about steps to reach to the apartment but there are steps everywhere in Dubrovnik, you cant avoid them, please consider to have backpack instead of luggage, will be easier and more comfortable.

- Vincenzo (8/5): - Lavare le stoviglie in bagno e salire tantissime scale
- Shrunal (8/5): Room with a great view - The view from the balcony was just amazing. It was the highlight of my trip. The room was also very beautiful and comfortable The bathroom didn't have a lock and it was kind of in a common hallway. So I was always conscious about someone entering
- María (8/5): Very good -
- Ashleigh (9/5): Superb - The location was great. The staff that live there are really friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable, bathroom is newly renovated. The house itself has a lot of history, make sure you ask the man that checks you in about the original owners! His pictures are on the wall. The stairs to get to the property. The property is in an incredible location, but there are about 10 flights of stairs to get down to the property, and 8 flights to get down to the road for pick up. I would have packed in a smaller case or a backpack if I knew.
- Tony (10/5): Excellent location and very comfortable - Close to the old town and beaches N/a
- John (8/5): Would definitely return, next time with lighter suitcases! - Fabulous view from balcony.spent most of one day there. 133 steps up to the property would be too much for unfit people or those with heavy luggage. Grocery store at bottom of steps is helpful. But the effort of getting there well worth while if you can manage it. Best to arrive at the top of Zupska steps to carry cases down about 150 steps and depart from bottom. Give taxi clear instruction about this.
- Maria (8/5): Very good - The view from the balcony is amazing The stairs to get there it's tiring
- Diane (7/5): Great view - View from balcony 131 steps to reach the property
- Scott (10/5): Amazing veiw from the balcony, fantastic apartment. - Great location, good directions and very easy check in. Room was clean and some bits to make a coffee which was a nice touch. Balcony was amazing and views of the sea and old town were stunning.
Also let us leave our bags on the last day. Would definitely book again. Nothing
- Peter (10/5): Lovely home style accommodation with a sensational view! - Lovely accommodation within a short walking distance from the Old Town. The view from the balcony is sensational. Nothing.
- Milou (9/5): Superb - Lovely and clean room and the view from the balcony was amazing! Location is also great as it is really close to the beach and within walking distance of the city. None
- Joe (9/5): Superb -
- Ramkumar (9/5): Superb -
- Tess (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and quiet, within walking distance to local beaches. Incredible view from the balcony to watch the sunset
- Charlène (10/5): Highly recommend - Top !
- Ernandes (7/5): Good apartment but with steep staircase to reach there - Well. The apartment is nice. Good view
Good space Confortable bed. Good shower
Walking distance to the beach and to the old city The problem is to get there. The street is only staircase Very steep staircase Cars don’t arrive there. There are almost 100 steps to arrive on the property and more almost 45 steps to get on the apartment. If is not problem for someone thats ok but for me it was terrible.
Towels are warn out
- Julianna (8/5): Very good - Location is perfect, inside is charming. It is near beaches, easy walk to town. Balcony with great sunset views!
- Pia (8/5): Very good - The apartment is from a walking distance of old city, be prepared to climb steps to reach it. There is a great view from the balcony. You have a functional bathroom and nice room. There is a small fridge and some dishes for having a breakfast or snack. A grocery is so close, just in the beginning of the steps. We found a gorgeous beach nearby and enjoyed our stay.
- Maya (10/5): Could not have asked for a more beautiful room -
- Barbara (10/5): Memorable! - Great location _ a short walk from the Old Town of Dubrovnik. 200 + stairs to carry your luggage up but well worth the effort. The view overlooking the Old Town is beautiful. Perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and relax after a busy day of sightseeing. Great value for money and a beautiful place to create memories. Thank you, Josiph, for sharing this beautiful place with us. The stairs were a challenge but Dubrovnik is full of stairs, so it was all part of the adventure!
- Garvit (5/5): Location and view are the only good things. - Location and view from the bedroom was as mentioned in the description. It is indeed 10 mins walking distance(uphill)from the old town entrance. You can have your morning coffee overlooking Kings Landing. Accessibility. To reach the property you have to take 6 flights of stairs. Not everyone has the capacity to do that every time they want to step out of the apartment.
My wife is 5 months pregnant and if we had known this, I would never have booked this apartment. Along with luggage and after a long tiring day of sightseeing, last thing you want to do is climb an infinite number of steep stairs.
Booking.com should make it mandatory to reveal accessibility related information, and not miss out on such important details.
Also our stay was for 3 nights and there was no option of cleaning the rooms, utensils or changing of towels provided. Not the best in terms of amenities.
- Joanna (10/5): Lovely place would visit again! - The view from the room is fantastic and it’s just a short (but lovely) walk from the Old Town.
- Nicolas (10/5): Exceptional - The location, the stunning view on the balcony, everything was great. Nothing
- Stuart (10/5): Really nice place to stay . - The balcony view is exceptional, it’s a lovely place to stay , I would definitely recommend it and we would happily stay there again.
- Katie (9/5): Brilliant for seeing Dubrovnik with a gorgeous view. - We had such a lovely stay here. Owner is lovely and also had a good chat about the football and how good Croatia is at the moment ( as a Northern Ireland fan this proved for some jokes)
Was greeted before our check in time at 12pm to a lovely room, gorgeous balcony overlooking old town. It really is a beautiful apartment at a really good price - even though you are In the home it doesn't feel intrusive as you have own section etc.
The property is about a 10 min walk to the old town so really really handy. Better staying here than in the middle of the old town. Ubers very handy to get, for airport and ferry port. Never more than 5 min away.
Such lovely owners who were very welcoming. We had to leave to get a ferry at 6 am which wasn't an issue we could just leave the keys in a safe place. One thing I will say, which isn't obvious when booking - you will be staying in the owners home, private room and bathroom but we would be extra quiet when coming in late etc. they made us feel so welcome but it might not be suitable for people looking for ' party'
Also when you arrive it is cash only ( the lovely owner said he states this ok booking.Com but I couldn't see this anywhere in the details, I checked after ) this isn't an issue but just make sure you take the money out before your arrive to save having to walk the steps.
also, if you are disabled. This wouldn't be suitable as the steps to get here are a lot. Only one way in with many steps.
- Sabina (9/5): Superb - The view from the balcony is breathtaking and totally worth the stairs! The stairs a lot of comments talk about are not that many! If you're young you don't even need to be fit for you to make it without a hustle. Besides a little exercise doesn't hurt! For the view I would do it 10 times. To enter the room you needed to go past the owners space.
- Jana (9/5): Very convenient accomodation - The room was tidy, comfortable and close to the old town of Dubrovnik. The view from the balcony was really beautiful. Everything was all right.
- Mike (8/5): Lovely stay in an elegant building with a great view. - Fantastic view of Dubrovnik Old Town from the balcony. Exremely welcoming hostess, she was great, clean, elegant room in a very special old building. We loved our stay but beware, there are many, many steps to access this flat. Doesn't matter which direction you are coming from.
- Jenn (10/5): Exceptional - Balcony view of old town
Location to Old Town, beach. Nothing negative
- Idil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): It is a clean, cozy, authetnic apartment and room with a very lovely host Lady. - The room has a stunning view to the old town, the sea and Lokrum island - unforgettable sunrises and sunsets from the balcony. It was raining non-stop on our first day, but the sight was still beautiful. The room is very cozy furnished and all clean:) If you have Netflix account you can watch something on the TV. Fridge is small but enough for two people. The wardrobe is spacious (in the wardrobe a beach towel was provided, with two rainingcoats). The host is a really lovely Lady:) who is living in the apartment, but she is so discrete!:) and she brought us some hydrangea flowers from the garden as a welcome gift (there is a huge gorgeus hydrangea bush in front of the entrance stairs). The room can be locked with key, also bathroom, there is a 1 sq meters area in front of the room and bathroom, so the room is really quiet, no noise can be heard from the other rooms. The apartment is really about a 10 min walk from the city center and the main beach Banje. And is about a 20 min walk from the most beautiful and cozy beach near Dubrovnik, the Sveti Jakov beach - it is a must to see. Since the apartment has a full panoramic view, you have to take a long stairs daily. But the view is worth the effort!:)) Anyway, old town is full of stairs :-D
- Anonymous (10/5): Underrated place - Location on google maps is so accurate
Everything about the room is incredible
The host Melina is so beautiful, helpful and welcoming
The room is so clean, well furnished with everything you need in it
The balcony we can sit in it the whole day and never get bored
The supermarket is right down the place
The bus station is 1 minute down the place
The cost is very great
The bathroom is so clean, private and well equipped
The old town is 15 minutes walking or less, you can see it from the balcony
The banje beach is 5 minutes walking, free to access
Definitely will choose this place again if we visited Dubrovnik Some stairs in whole town but the view and the place itself is worthhh
Please put more updated photos for the place and the balcony as current photos don't give exact description about how lovely the place is
- Viola (10/5): Exceptional - The room is in a perfect location close to the city centre and to the beach. Clean, comfortable and really cosy, with a balcony with an amazing view of the city and a private bathroom. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
- Harley (10/5): Exceptional - The views are impressive, please don’t miss out the room with balcony!!! Access to the flat is not easy, so the suitcase is not recommended, better a backpack! although I have to remark the stairs are the condition of the city, there is no other way to walk around.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, close to the beach and a short walk into the old town. We had our own bathroom and a balcony with an amazing view! Would definitely stay here again.
- Piia (9/5): Superb -
- Jjl78 (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and nice room with a spectacular view. The lady of the house is very lovely and the service was very good.
The location is close to perfect, near the beach, near the Old City. Short walk everywhere and if you want to get to the other side of the city the bus stop is quite close.
Be prepared to walk stairs, for some people it's a bonus, some peolpe may find it a bit intense.
- Mordechai (8/5): very nice - outstanding view from balcony ,60m above sea level , like 20th floor
nice people
close to the center I was not aware, before, that the only way to get to the apartment is via a very long steep stairs, that connect the upper street to the lower street.
If your hobby, is not running steps all the way up, I suggest you get of the taxi on the road above , so you get down the stairs. and when you go out , take the bus taxi or walk, from the road below, down the steps.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
