• Guillaume (7/5): a minimalist but effective starting point for a short period - Well situated, clean in the common areas and very good organised (self checking, slip ons...) Room is tight but have the minimum you need. Not perfectly clean inside the room, you just have the minimum in the room, hear a lot of noise from other rooms through the walls.
• David (10/5): Wonderful. - A really beautiful and cozy accomodation in a breathtaking environment. The accomodation is in the middle of Obertraun, easy to reach every notable location. Fully recommended and we plan to come back during the summer.
• Julia (8/5): Nice room in natural spot - Nice spacious room - studio. Very clean, easy to find. Short walk from train station. Comfortable large bed. Met Mario when I arrived earlier and wanted to use locker, but he said room is ready. Very welcoming. I love full self check in idea, gives you plenty of freedom. Mario provided clear instructions. It was pretty awkward to see first thing when opening the door toilet and shower. Would work a mirror. There is small over sink, but you have to be very tall to be able to use it
• karew59 (5/5): Kann ich nicht weiterempfehlen. - Lage ist schön. Sehr ruhig. Kein Kontakt zum Vermieter, oder sonst irgendwem!! Frühstück wurde nicht angeboten. Am Zimmer kein Fernseher oder Radio. Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt.
• Jacob (7/5): Sober maar alle voorzieningen hebbend pension. - Om de Krippenstein te bezoeken ligt dit pension fantastisch. De bushalte is er vlakbij die je er snel brengt. De kamer was sober echter had wel alles en wanneer je niet om luxe of hotel chique geeft kun je hier prima verblijven. Tevens ligt het aan de Salzkammergut fietsroute. Jammer van geen ontbijt hebbend en de supermarkt is op zaterdagmiddag al dicht tot zondagmorgen en wanneer je op de fiets in de middag van zaterdag aankomt …

• Patricia (10/5): Una grata sorpresa en un lugar mágico. - La ubicación es genial y justo al lado hay un supermercado. Todo está hecho al detalle en la habitación, muy limpia, cómoda y con unas vistas geniales. En la habitación tienes platos, cubiertos, tazas, té, un ventilador pequeño, toallas y mantas extras por si tienes frío, fuera de la habitación hay una nevera pequeña. Mario también deja una carpeta con toda la información necesaria que necesitas para tu estancia. En general estamos muy contentas y ojalá poder volver.

• Mehrotra (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is very near to the train station, bus station and supermarket. The rooms are very cozy , there is ample equipments in kitchen and view is amazing. Room size was a bit of a issue , but negligible in overall experience.

They were ok, but I think for this price they were a bit expensive. We somehow did not realise that one of the rooms had the toilet outside the room (but this might be our fault).

Nicely maintained small house and a garden. Mario’s mom was so helpful. I propose you to put a mirror in the room (no-6) as there were no mirror in the room except the bathroom mirror. (The bathroom lights are not enough to get dressed)

Very friendly, helpful, responsive host and his family, spacious rooms with lot of useful amenities like coffee machine, fridge, dining room, locker boxes for luggage, free parking.
• Dmitry (10/5): A great place to enjoy Obertraun, Hallstatt and Salzkammergut! - This is a great family-run place to enjoy Obertraun, Hallstatt and other parts of Salzkammergut! The balcony with the mountain view was great, especially at night when you can see the stars in the sky. The hotel is close to the railway station and it takes around 10 min. by foot to reach it. The check in instructions were clear and the getting the room keys was very easy. Mario is a very welcoming host. He provided explanations about the region and the hiking options in the area. He was available to answer my questions and helped with some other things I needed. I would like to stay here again the next time I visit Obertraun!

• Jiri (6/5): Pleasant - Great location, really clean. The walls must have been made of paper, you can basically hear anything two rooms next to you. Combine that with a train track nearby, and unless you have ear plugs, you will not sleep well.

• Paola (8/5): Lovely location and comfortable place - I really recommend to stay here if you are willing to visit Hallstat. It is really proper and cute. Obertraun is just located in front of Hallstat, you can reach it easily by bus or by boat. Also, in the same Obertraun there are magnific places to visit. The place is located just next to the information center of Obertraun, the supermarket is next door and one nice bakery is on the other side of the street. The onwer was friendly and even if she couldn't speak English, we could communicatrle very well. There was no shampoo

• Seyyed (7/5): Good - The kitchen was very well equipped and there was a supermarket very close to the residence. The toilet was separated. The bathroom was small. And the room was very close to the street which makes the room super noisy. There was no AC so you have to keep the window open which makes the room noisy. Also, nobody cleaned the room, replaced our towels, or remove the garbage during our four-day stay. The internet connection could be better.

Specifically, our accomodation was cozy and the host friendly. Big bed, great view, large bathroom. We would like a little fridge in our room.
