Guest Reviews
- Aileen (8/5): Whilst there were a few VERY minor ‘issues’ none of it mattered in the grande scheme and we had a wonderful stay and we - It was pure serenity with the view and the quiet, listening to nothing but the birds chirping away while drinking a cup of coffee in the morning 🥰
The shower pressure was perfection and having decent body wash to use! So much better than the individually wrapped soaps you get in hotels which no body likes! TV instructions in the guide hadn’t been updated and nothing would play on the tv - but this also forced us to do something besides watch a movie, which ended up being great!
Bed was too firm and maybe needs a mattress topper, plus upgrading the queen doona to a king for extra width.
Cupboard where the fridge is smelt slightly musty, we left the cupboard door open a lot to let it air out, needs some form of ventilation.
- Linda (10/5): - Very modern and clean, peaceful country side location, only a few minutes from eateries, grocery shops and fuel outlets. Owner very welcoming.
- Brian (8/5): We enjoyed our seven night comfortable stay and exploring places by car. - Nice and plenty of room The mirror in the bathroom was placed too high for shorter people. The TV was an old model which needs upgrading. Fridges placed in cupboards need ventilation to function efficiently which seems to happen a lot in Motels.
- Michael (2/5): the place is run down, not worth the money - location We arrived late, only to find the toilette seat came lose, which I managed to fix.
The soap holder/shelf in the shower was lose, such that it could not be used as everything fell off.
The TV is ancient and required using a tablet connected to Google Chromecast, as well as a hifi system, to try and get reception, which was not working for some channels, even after the owner attempted to get it working. This could have easily been avoided by just buying a smart TV. It reminds me of how I've seen accommodation in third world countries.
- Xiyue juliet (9/5): - quiet na
- Robert (8/5): -
- Daryl67 (9/5): Longer stay needed. - Very relaxing. Surrounded by different farm animals. Kitchen is a bit small. Would stay again but for longer next time.
- Penny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Penny (10/5): Amazing getaway. - Everything. Beautiful, peaceful, clean and lovely hosts. There is nothing to dislike, the place is beautiful.
- Hans (8/5): Very good -
- Anika (10/5): Picturesque location, comfortable stay. - The location was perfect. Amazing scenery, peaceful and quiet. The house had everything we needed for a short stay. We saw our first southern lights just outside the house. Nothing
- Dianne (7/5): Beautifully presented but lacks things we were looking for. You may find it wonderful ! - Beautifully presented place, very modern. Quiet surroundings and dry. Convenient to our friends who lived nearby. Bed and cover were too small, and we aren't big people! Felt very cramped in the bedroom. Modern press button lights were confusing to me (husband had to operate the lights for me) Heater didn't go, it showed it was on! The kitchen in the cupboard was congested and there was no milk to have tea or coffee in the fridge. Maybe we were suppose to bring it. We had no correspondence from owner on what we had to do. We just booked it and had a confirmation, that was it!
- Nic (9/5): Superb -
- Wes (7/5): Previous stays have been great just needs some TLC - Comfortable and quiet A couple of issues that need some TLC
Shower shelf falling off wall
TV arrangements very difficult
Need more choices of pillows
Exterior overgrown and unloved
- Rizalinda (9/5): Very nice clean and comfortable stay. We love the quiet surroundings. - The owner/the husband who gave us the room key was a very nice guy...
- Brant (8/5): Very good -
- Veronique (6/5): Pleasant - Big living room. It looks quite new. The area is quiet with a nice view on the mountain. - We know this is more common in Australia, but we didn't see the owners even once. Fur us European it feels a bit unpersonal. Just maybe a little check if everything is ok would be nice.
- Our biggest concern is the water supply from the tank. From the room you will hear a noise if somebody uses water. That is also when somebody in the main house uses water. Since the room is directly attached to the main house, you will also hear other noises directly from the other side of the wall.
- Eventhough it looks modern, the shower has a curtain which we don't think is very hygenic.
- The blanket on the bed is too short on the sides (see picture). You'll find yourself fighting over the blanket 😅.
- In the room there is a bookwork of instructions. It is a lot to read. But one of the strange things we found is that you have to take the trash out yourself. It is a couples retreat. Doesn't feel like a retreat taking the trash out. And when we wanted to do it, the bin for it was nowhere to be found..
- Steven (9/5): Superb - very comfortable place..
- Steve (4/5): Disappointing and it cost us a lit more not being able to cook - The unit was clwan and well presented Bedding was too small, heating didn't work, kitchen was only a microwave in a closet, no closet as their was a microwave oven in it..
- Peter (7/5): Pleasant, but .. - The location was fine. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. We didn't see the hosts at all over our 4 days, although they apparently lived on the premises. The lighting took some working out, and there was no TV, only Netflix (and then via a method that was quite cumbersome).
- Glenys (6/5): A shame the little things that make a stay special were not present. - A very loud water pump near our window which woke us up when the owners turned on the water.
Tv was not user friendly
- Maree (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manuel (9/5): Superb - very nice Place, definitely need a car to go there :)
- Lin (10/5): Clean and spacious room with nice Mountain View. -
- Craig (7/5): Good -
- Ian (8/5): Very relaxing way to spend Christmas. - The location was lovely. We thought there could have been a bigger fridge and somewhere to prepare breakfast/food. Not everyone wants to go out to eat.
- Bronwyn (5/5): Need your own transport for this out of the way stay - Nice view. That the owner drove us to the airport to make up for the inconvenience of not having the property ready. Must have your own car to visit this property. The owner didn’t know we were coming but he made us comfortable while he cleaned it. There was an oil stain on the bottom sheet. Apart from this the property was lovely. Beware the roosters start early to remind you that you’re in the country.
- Simone (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thays (9/5): Superb - The view is very nice and the place very quiet if you need a good time resting. It is around 30min to the city of Hobart but it worth it the drive.
Ann is very friendly, she is there for anything you need!
I spent one week there and I don’t regret a thing.
Thank you!!
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Graham (10/5): Beautiful... stunningly beautiful 😁 but beware of the bed frame 🥺 - Absutely beautiful peaceful location surrounded by nature yet so close to Hobart. The huge wooden frame around the bed was aesthetically pleasing, but a hazard to knees and shins 😡
- Desiree (9/5): Superb -
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pam (6/5): Pleasant - Good comfortable stay Grounds needed upkeep. No maintenance done. Very untidy
- Joanne (8/5): Peaceful retreat. - The guest suite was well laid out...plenty of room, loved the big shower and heater lights. Bed was a bit firm for our likings, could do with a topper...connecting to wifi a bit tricky... watching TV would be better with proper set up.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (8/5): Two day catchup. - All of the Unit was amazing. Views were beautiful. Very private. The doona and pillows on the bed were not of the same standard as the rest of the facilities in the accommodation.
- Jock (10/5): Exceptional - Personal touches and great view Closet being used as kitchen facilities
- Prateek (10/5): Great Comfortable stay. - Beautiful Location. Everything is well thought after and is a perfect location to enjoy some quality time.
Games provided was a great plus-point.
