Guest Reviews
- James (9/5): A delightful stay in a little house set in beautiful surroundings. - A fun and well-designed little home with everything we needed for our stay. Compact but big enough for two, with a hamper of delicious treats waiting for us on arrival. Beautiful and peaceful location with wonderful views. The night sky was illuminated with the most stars we've ever seen! Thanks Michelle and Jason for having us.
- Laura (9/5): Lovely tiny house with everything you need for your stay, quiet and peaceful. - We loved the location, as we wanted to visit Cradle Mountain and it was very close. The surroundings were beautiful, very calm and surrounded by nature. Seeing the goats in the morning and being able to feed them was such a lovely experience.

- Howell (8/5): One night stay - Comfortable bed, nice size shower, water pressure ๐ supplies provided for breakfast/tea & coffee ๐ quiet area All was good
- Kerry (7/5): Good -
- Gordon (10/5): Totally relaxing! - Waking up to the sight of sheep grazing in the field outside, with the view of Cradle Mountain in the background made this stay a memorable experience. Clever use of the small (but not too small) space was impressive. Wish I could have stayed longer. No negative comments at all.
- Kavitha (8/5): Very good -
- Dorsey (9/5): Great spot in bucolic location. Nice tiny house with friendly owners. - Great location near Sheffield, Mt. Roland, and Cradle Mountain. Nice folks. Friendly goat across the fence. The stairs to the loft are tricky late at night.
- Pongsakorn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rohan (9/5): Comfortable farm stay with a tranquil view remote feel thank you! - We especially appreciated the hostโs welcoming tour of the tiny place and also the location overlooking a tranquil farm with a herd of sheep grazing out the front. We also appreciated being able to cook a meal and slept very well in the comfortable loft.
- Adam (2/5): Very poor - The serenity.. Where do I start?? After reading other not so good reviews, it seems nothing has been taken onboard or rectified..
Heres my recommendation, go buy some nice white bed linen and matching towels, face towels etc..
Get an electric kettle, supply an ashtray outside where you can smoke.. remove the already open stuff, e.g. butter, condiments etc.. fix the broken fixtures and appliances.. remove the cv19 bs.. and supply extra blankets ( not everyone likes electric blankets)
Wouldn't recommend @$235 a night.. stayed in multiple venues during my trip , far nicer and less cost..
- Aaron (9/5): Superb - Novelty of the space. Secluded setting
- Kumar (10/5): The perfect place to stay for a couple. You have everything you need and Jason and Michelle were just fantastic - Everything
- Maree (6/5): Cute cabin that needs a little finessing. Perhaps the owners need to stay there themselves to see what we mean? - Cheery welcome. Well stocked breakfast items. Clean and tidy. Quiet location with lovely farm views from a cute little deck. Shelter for our vehicle. Dead plants on the deck. A firepit with no wood. A scary difficult staircase with little to no handrail to the uptop bed area. Pretty string lights out on the deck but no way to turn them on? Doggy do do everywhere outside. Seriously grungy old scuffs we were encouraged to wear, unhygienic in the extreme. Covid warning notes and fine notifications pined up everywhere. ( kind of a downer) Bathroom shelf filled with other peoples bottles of bathroom stuff. Nowhere to hang wet towels. Hot water ran out after 3 minute shower?
- Brian (3/5): Nice experience to try a tiny house off the grid but but this one is poorly executed. - The food left for breakfast was plentiful and we loved the farm fresh eggs. there were some treats left out for us. The stairs which you need to climb up to the loft bed were treacherous, way too steep and narrow to meet any safety standards and there was no railing. The loft was so low the mattress was on the floor and you had to ben over at the waist to move anywhere in the loft.
- Paul (10/5): Marvelous! - One of the best stays in Tasmania, wonderful cabn, had everything we needed, offers the ultimate oasis great host. we will be back! nothing
- Ann (9/5): Superb - Quirky little cabin. Perfect for exploring the Cradle Mountain region. Excellent hosts. The nearest town is Sheffield that holds an annual mural painting competition. Lots to see. Plan to take everything you need with you as the nearest shops are 12km away. Few eating places and no pubs that we could find any nearer.
- Emily (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerald (9/5): Tiny but nice - In a rural area in the middle between the east and the west coast, close to cradle mountain. Tiny house that was well equipped including everything needed to prepare a breakfast. Recommended! Closest restaurant 20 minutes drive in Sheffield.
- Alexandra (9/5): Superb -
- Yan (8/5): Very good - Tiny but comfortable, can feed the sheep on room side, very special at area of cradle mountain. Quiet and peaceful in location.
- Jq (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanya (9/5): Cosy, comfortable, quiet, relaxing :) - Food provided for breakfast was excellent. I was worried about food access due to location being in the mountains, but it was not a concern at all (Soy milk was even provided). Hot water in showers were consistent. It was warm and cosy overall. My friend and I did not feel cold at all. Although space is small, but the views out at the paddock with goats and mountains far away was really relaxing. Host welcomed us when we arrived and replied messages literally within 10 minutes if you had any problems. slightly inconvenient with drinking water - needed to boil water (although host already provided 1-1.5L worth of bottled water already).
- Josh (9/5): Great, cozy place to stay for an adventuring couple. More features than your standard tiny home - Host was very friendly and met us upon arrival to give us a quick run down of the property. Very generous extras from chocolates to breakfast provisions provided. Very comfortable, clean, self contained and accurately represented on the website as far as tiny homes are concerned. Loved the friendly neighboring goats that would say hello!
Also the owners have clearly thought about everything. Example - one of the nights we stayed, the gods above unleashed some crazy amount of rain + bit of hail. Luckily there is a car shelter that protected our absolutely crap rental car from being damaged.
The value for money is well worth it for couples in similar circumstances to us traveling between major areas of Tassy.
- Naomi (8/5): Clean and tidy place with all you need! - Clean and tidy place with everything you need - the breakfast supplies were excellent, with eggs, bread, jam, cereal all supplied to start your day on Cradle Mountain! Michelle was a lovely host who came to greet us at gate and explained everything to us. Bonus points to the friendly goats and sheep on the property too :) :)
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jolien (9/5): Superb - very quiet location . nice and clean . my back was a bit sore in the morning but apart from that i can recommend it , it was very relaxing . A BBQ would make it perfect.
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - Very clean and comfortable for two people.
