• Marina (10/5): Perfect stay in Valbonë! Warm hosts, fresh and tasty breakfasts, spacious and comfy rooms. - I had a wonderful 6-day stay at this guesthouse in Valbonë. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming, always available and attentive. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh products every day. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the mountains, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I was lucky to have a balcony with a stunning view of the peaks — the sunsets were just magical. An unforgettable stay, I highly recommend this place!
• María (9/5): Perfecto después de un día de caminar - La habitación tenía una bonita vista de las montañas. Todo estaba muy limpio y era espacioso. Tienen un restaurante muy agradable al que incluso acuden personas que no son huéspedes. Cena casera por 10€ muy rica. Hacía una noche fría pero se estaba súper a gusto con la chimenea. El desayuno que nos sirvieron al día siguiente también estaba buenísimo. Pudimos encargar un pic-nic por 4€ para el largo camino que nos esperaba hasta Shkoder. Quizás estaría bien poder tener la opción de calefacción en la habitación. Es cierto que las mantas eran muy buenas, pero prácticamente no se podía estar fuera de la cama del frío que hacía.

• Bella (9/5): Welcoming and homely - Skender guesthouse was super welcoming, the staff were so lovely and helpful! The rooms were clean and tidy, and the beds were extremely comfortable! The location was also nice and quiet, so peaceful. The host also took us to the start of the walk :)) such a lovely stay, would highly recommend! Nothing that we didn’t like, although if you want somewhere that’s super sociable and young crowd then this is more of a peaceful wholesome place to stay (which is exactly what we wanted).

• Abby (10/5): - The guesthouse is very cozy and beautiful the staff were very accommodating and welcoming, the balcony had the most beautiful views and our shower window looked out on to the mountains! all of the food was fresh and delicious we really enjoyed our time in this beautiful part of Albania.

O pequeno almoço era variado e bom e a marmita fornecida (por um custo acrescentado) também estava boa. O staff era simpático o suficiente. Sítio muito calmo. O quarto poderia ser mais acolhedor. O pequeno almoço demorou muito tempo, pelo que nos atrasou bastante o começo da caminhada... também não nos ajudaram a chegar ao início do trilho, como nos tinha sido dito quando chegámos (embora tenhamos conseguido fazê-lo sozinhos).

Ich habe mich sofort wohlgefühlt. Hab mich über die angebotenen Schlappen im Raum sowie Duschgel gefreut. Das Essen war fantastisch: große Portionen, richtig lecker und dazu noch zu einem tollen Preis. Abendessen kann man bequem dazu buchen, Kühlschrank mit unterschiedlichen Getränken wird angeboten – absolut empfehlenswert. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Gastfreundschaft: Der Gastgeber war so nett und hat mich für 50 € nach Salem gefahren. Diese Herzlichkeit hat mich so begeistert, dass ich wenige Tage später spontan noch einmal übernachtet habe.

The location is idyllic, with beautiful views that we could enjoy directly from our room. It is very well situated near the Valbona–Theth hiking trail, which makes it perfect for trekkers. The guesthouse also serves food, which was delicious and definitely worth trying. Overall, a very recommendable place to stay and eat.

We had breakfast included (which was very nice) and got offered dinner for a small charge aswell. For the hike to Teth we got a lift to the starting point of the hike and could also ask for lunchbox. The staff are also exceptionally friendly and always happy to help. Everything is reasonably priced (packed lunch €4 etc). Breakfast was fantastic and dinner absolutely delicious. We hope to come back one day and would definitely recommend!

There is a mini bar and restaurant on site, and great garden to relax in. The room itself isn't anything glamorous but a basic bedroom to sleepover if you're doing the trek.
