• Linda (9/5): Friendly guest house in small mountain village - Friendly owner, easy walk to the restaurant in the village, everything we needed for one night stay. Really nice Eco-walk trail nearby. Free on-street parking at the door.

Just make sure you plan your transfer if you are going to Borovets - A very comfortable guest house with a very friendly owner By my own mistake I didn't check the location of the guest house before booking and due to this I didn't check the travel to Borovets resort itself. There are 2 directions you can go to get to the resort, but, in winter, one is unsuitable for vehicles without either snow tyres/chains or 4 wheel drive. This guest house is around 7km from Borovets resort itself.

• Arne (8/5): Empfehlenswert, guter Ausgangspunkt um auf den Malyovista zu gehen. - Sehr urig / erinnert an früher. Gemütliches Bett und nette Gastgeberin. Leider haben wir kein Frühstück erhalten. Dies war aber von vornherein auch nicht buchbar bei booking. Wir hatten aber aufgrund anderer Bewertungen davon gelesen und gehofft, dass wir es nachbuchen können.

• Emilija (3/5): Poor - We were misled into booking this room based on the facility's "Superb" rating, which it doesn’t deserve in the slightest. Everything about this accommodation felt fake. After returning from night skiing in Borovets, with an outside temperature of -13°C, we found the room freezing cold—the radiator was set to its lowest setting. The bathroom was just as bad, with a tiny radiator placed next to the toilet seat, barely warming the seat itself, let alone the room. Taking a bath or shower was out of the question. The room had a terrible smell, and the pillows and mattresses seemed like they hadn’t been replaced in decades. We weren’t expecting luxury for the price we paid—just a clean, warm room with decent beds and a functional bathroom. Disappointed, we left the next morning despite having paid for two nights and had to book and pay for alternative accommodation for the second night.

The place needs urgent renovation. The room fridge did not work. The shower head broke during the shower. The bed was not comfortable.

• Margit (10/5): Warm welcome in Beli Iskar - Very beautiful guest house in very nice village of Beli Iskar. Close to Borovets and Govedartsi. Close to hiking trails and nature. Unfortunately we did not have a lot of time there on our way to Sofia, but we plan to come back.
