- Mark (8/5): Very pleasant stay with a unique difference - Very private setting with a querky twist. Nothing we didn’t like but had to get used to the crossing from bedroom to living area and bathroom
- Natphicha (10/5): -
- Steve (9/5): Great pet friendly accomodation, would stay again. - Excellent secure, private back courtyard for our dog. Not large but very safe. The apartment is compact but beautifully presented. Close to shops and a lovely dog friendly beach. Access between the kitchen and bedroom is via an ouside (but undercover)walkway of 2 steps. No problems in good weather, but might be an issue in winter.
- Leanne (10/5): A cute little house, great if solo travelling or a couple!.. Close to everything! Perfect! - A lovely little property, quite quirky & different is what I loved about it!.. Bed was SO comfy and cleanliness was exceptional! NA
- TERRY (8/5): Quiet, quirky cottage - Located out of town but close enough for a quick drive into Sorrento. Very quiet and peaceful.
Nicely decorated bedroom, soft linens, comfy bed and pillows. Shower had really good water pressure.
Kitchen had everything needed for a short stay. The split bedroom / kitchen/ bathroom set up.
- KAREN (7/5): All good except noise. - All comfortable. Traffic noise.
- Gabriel (7/5): -
- Deirdre (8/5): - A nice little private getaway. The mattress was softer than we're used to. We were surprised by the separation of the two rooms.
- Stanley (10/5): -
- Nicole (9/5): A quite, private relaxing stay close to beaches and town - The fact it was dog friendly was a massive positive.
The instructions for an easy arrival and the welcoming wine.
Comfy bed and attention to detail.
Was definitely good value for money and the old school feel with the local info / dvds etc made us feel welcome. There is a little area between the entrance and the front gate that if grassed would make doggy do time a lot easier and better aesthetically. ( No biggy, just food for thought :)
- Adam (10/5): Lovely stay, very comfortable - Very easy to find. Great location. Great value for money, very comfortable. The property is split, bedroom in one building, kitchen/bathroom in another. Separated by a small walkway. Just a pain if you need to bathroom at night, you need to outside. BUT, still highly recommend this accommodation.
- Melanie (9/5): Superb - Clever, compact design.
Beautiful, stylish, cosy and considered decor.
Wine on arrival a bonus
Everything I could possibly need.
Quick trip. Was the perfect base.
- Sue (9/5): Very neat, clean, well equipped, private, good communication from host and dog friendly - Cosy, clean and dog friendly. Being solo the bathroom was separate from the bedroom behind the kitchen - 2 separate rooms.
- Brodie (10/5): Exceptional - Great little Airbnb that was comfortable and all we needed
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Nice secluded spot great for a quiet getaway great site seeing and shops if that’s your thing all within 20 minutes nice and quite private place great to wind down and de stress clean and tidy Could have rubbish bin to empty into so we don’t have to go into town to find bins
- Mella (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and quiet
- Georgia (10/5): Exceptional -

- Glenn (9/5): Superb -
- Elsa (8/5): Great place for short stay, loved that it was pet friendly. - I loved the private access, the bedroom was cozy without feeling small. We brought our dog with us and it was great that you had an enclosed space for him to roam so he wasn’t confined to one space. The shower was also great, clean and spacious. Would be nice to have a patch of grass in the property so I didn’t have to walk my dog outside the property to relieve himself.
- Joanne (9/5): Superb -
- Adam (8/5): Very good place to stay for a few days, lovely bed and bathroom. Excellent location and close to everything - Bed was unreal and bathroom was beautiful Very minimum room for storage in kitchen, and ants in bed and on kitchen bench
- Fábio (9/5): Superb -
- Amy (9/5): Superb - Comfortable accommodation Nothing
- Jordan (9/5): Quiet, cozy and comfortable. - Very comfortable, interesting layout, great location and price, hosts available to communicate with for any issues/just to check in, pet friendly, quiet, private. Wifi for the tv was a bit patchy but wasn’t really a bother for us
- Maddison (10/5): An absolutely beautiful stay. Everything was perfect. Will definitely be staying again! - The bed, location and layout of the cottage was perfect
- Ema (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (9/5): Superb - Cosy little spot, very private and comfortable. Excellent fencing. A burner to heat dinner would be an excellent addition to the little kitchenette
- Natalie (10/5): Our stay was very comfortable and seamless, a very professional service by the host and I would definitely come back. - The property was comfort, clean, and the location was very central to all amenities. The internet was a bit choppy at times.
- Nicolás (10/5): perfect - Saw comments complaining about crossing the aisle with no roof between kitchen-bathroom and the room, and literally is just one step you have to do, totlly reccomended
- Anita (9/5): Comfortable and cosy - Bed was amazing & shower was great. Area is quiet and easy for me to get to Sorrento for events I was attending.
- Sally (10/5): I will stay there again in future. - Everything N/A
- Luigi (10/5): Exceptional - Super clean & well decked out
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eden (9/5): Had an amazing weekend loved the enclosed court yard for our pup - Was very nice and comfortable and so clean. Great location Found the lay out a bit different but wasn’t bad. Would be better if the bbq spot was cleaned and spider webs removed prior to us coming.
- Amanda (7/5): Good value - esp if you don’t need bathroom at night, bathroom and kitchen weather dependant - - price
- quality linen and towels
- comfortable bed
- easy instructions
- good location
- complimentary choc and quality wine - no air conditioning in kitchen and bathroom so sweltering in mid 30s (note these are separate to bedroom and you need to open a blind at night and go from one sliding door a few steps outside to the other sliding door to get to other room)
- no milk, black tea bags or even a cold jug of tap water in fridge
- bed not long for taller people, hit head on iron bed head
- need an outside tap for washing off sand
- unattractive garden entrance
- Bridget (9/5): Superb -
- Noel (8/5): Beautiful accommodation. My pick for a return trip to this area - A quaint little cottage …almost a “tiny house!” Beautifully appointed with quality fittings and decor. Very clean and comfortable. Ideal for a short stay. Well priced compared to others in the area. 4 minute drive to the heart of Sorrento. Was attracted by online photos of a small outdoor area showing chairs and BBQ. Unfortunately this was spoilt by a neglected garden entrance , a build up of cobwebs and bird droppings. As this is the entrance to the property it gives a poor 1st impression of what is beautiful accommodation. All that’s needed is a clean up and it will be perfect.
- Susanne (10/5): Hidden place in a backyard - Interesting backyard development. It had everything we needed. We never met the owner
- Carey (8/5): Very good - Loved the quiet location and privacy
- David (9/5): Great Peninsular couples accomodation - Very fresh and clean, in good location Tradesperson working early Sunday morning
- Matthew (1/5): Profits over safety - Not much. Was very disappointing.
The creepy sunken bookshelf that when you push against is clearly a door. You can hear the gate latch. . The run down conditions of the entry areas. Many trip hazards. Not a safe place to stay. I'm surprised they haven't had lots of accidents there. I wouldn't stay there again. Very disappointing. Clearly no duty of care . Profits over safety.
- Kim (7/5): Fabulous. Listening to the birds in the trees was beautiful. - Location and had everything I needed for a comfy stay Nothing
- Diane (10/5): Will be booking again soon! -
- Amanda (7/5): Good - It was close to beaches and shops That it is separate, you have to go outside (outside hallway) to use kitchen and bathroom which in the middle of the night is annoying.
- Corey (7/5): Pricey for what it is. - The property was well presented and tidy, location was great. Ants everywhere, couldn’t leave a drink without the cup ending up full with ants.
- Sophie (10/5): Great spot for a little get away - Everything was great. A very beautiful spot. The bed was so comfortable.
- Kelly (10/5): A stunning little property for a midweek stay - It was compact & perfectly formed.
- Magdalena (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, comfortable and very nice and helpful hosts! I loved the heat lamp in the bathroom, that was a pleasant surprise as it was still rather cold while I was there :) The Wifi was very, very slow, but since I was only staying for a short time and had good mobile reception I didn't check for any reasons or asked to have it looked at, so take that with a grain of salt. Maybe it was just acting up as technology does.
- Jodie (8/5): We enjoyed our stay. - Accomodation was very comfortable, and it was a quiet spot. Host was great! Complimentary wine and chocolates were a very nice gesture. :) A suggestion, not a complaint: Perhaps an electric frypan to cook breakfast etc. and a little long life milk in fridge on arrival.
Uber and taxis hard to get in the area.
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mona (10/5): Perfect stay -
- Kerry (9/5): Superb - Nice private set up. Animal friendly. Complimentary wine and chocolate
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was lovely. Very peaceful environment.
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - This was a fantastic getaway, solo stay - so was a perfect fit for me!
Big TV, with Netflix, perfect reception for standard TV channels, high speed Internet - extremely comfy bed.
Loved the little separate living areas, having a private bedroom den - shut out curtains made it easy to sleepin and relax.
The host went the extra mile leaving welcome chocolate and wine, and checking in with me to make sure I had everything I needed! So refreshing to see a host who actually cares about your stay, and not just Money! Overall I will definitely be back to this cute little cabin... Loved everything
- Khatri (9/5): Superb -
- Renee (10/5): Great location and has everything you need! - We loved our stay at River Cottage! The check-in process was easy and the accomodation was private, modern and neat. Lovely big TV and good heating which is appreciated in Winter. The cottage is in a great spot, only a short drive from Rye and other popular locations on the Peninsula.
Thank you for a great stay!
- Michelle (5/5): Not a cottage. - Chocolate and wine on arrival were nice. The bed was comfortable and the heating was nice. There was a collection of DVDs to watch and some good books. It was not a cottage and not sure where the river was. The bedroom was a separate building to the kitchen and bathroom and was accessed via an external walk way. It was in the yard of a residential property which made me uncomfortable. It felt more like an Air B&B than professionally managed accommodation. After arrival, I received a message from the property owner advising me to leave the property as I found it and that they did not want to have to chase me for extra cleaning fees, if I decided to leave a mess. This made me feel like I could not utilise the facilities as there was no way to leave it as I found it without doing a full clean on departure. I thought this was an unreasonable expectation.
- Loretta (10/5): River Cottage Blairgowrie - It is a beautiful little safe haven.
Absolutely loved it.
Greg was very helpful when I contacted him on arrival as I had concerns of my little dog getting out under the gate. He assisted to ensure my fur baby was safe.
I enjoyed the complimentary wine and chocolate too.
River Cottage had everything I needed to enjoy my stay. I was a bit sad that I could not watch Netflix on the tv as my phone is not compatible with Apple. I did get over it quickly 😁
The key safe was a bit of a struggle as it was temperamental. Took a few goes before it would open.
Neither of these were big enough issues to affect my stay.
- Nicole (9/5): Charming and comfortable - Cosy and comfortable. Everything you could need with a few extra surprise touches. Lovely courtyard
- Nikolett (8/5): Cute cottage, all in all enjoyed our stay, and we appreciate that our little doggie could stay with us. - Well equipped, nice extra touches (decoration, bottle of wine on arrival) The separation of the bedroom and the bathroom. You actually have to step outside to cross to the bathroom - going through 2 flyscreens.
- Jess (9/5): Cute weekend spot - Great location and cute little place. Had everything we needed Getting in-between kitchen/bathroom and bedroom at night let's mosquito's in :( a mosquito repellant permanently in place would have been great!
- David (7/5): Good - Cosy and clean... well located The separate bedroom and kitchen.
- Jennifer (8/5): Great place for a few days near great beaches and scenery. - We loved the layout. Instead of creating one studio space, this has two separate spaces. There is a sweet little courtyard with seating and birds visiting. Modern and stylish decoration. The owners obviously care about their accommodation and were excellent to communicate with by text and phone, if needed. Nothing
- Claire (3/5): Good bones but there are definitely some issues that would be easy to fix. - Close to back beach, good air conditioning. A pet approved property shouldn't have broken glass in the garden. There was a significant amount of very sharp glass less than 1.5 feet from the outdoor chairs, so it was easy to spot and should have been cleaned up prior to check in. Cleaning up other people's mess was not the way we wanted to be starting our holiday.
We found other people's hair (not just from their head) on the blanket. We received a passive aggressive email about additional cleaning fees on the day before departure. If the owner attempts to charge these, we will be arguing against them - as the property was certainly not 'tidy' when we found it.
The kitchen had one small knife, which was unable to cut even a lime. This made it very difficult to prepare any sort of food.
Kitchen light is having issues - flickers consistently.
- Graham (9/5): The Quiet River cottage - The river cottage is in a quiet location and an easy walk to the beach and shops. The room is a good size and the facilities are modern. There is space for a boat and having the ability to take your dog on holidays too is a bonus. Everything is modern and in great working order so there was nothing we didn't like.
- Uta (10/5): Luxurious and comfy - What a gorgeous little cottage. Super comfy bed, amazing shower and everything you need. Not to forget the lovely complementary bottle of wine and choccie. I liked everything
- Francesco (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (9/5): Lovely quiet haven for some R&R - Lovely quiet location, not far from cafes and beaches. Cean, comfortable, with a spacious bedroom, a great little retreat that had everything we needed. The host, Greg, kept in touch and offered help with anything we needed. Having the bedroom separated from the bathroom was a little inconvenient in bad weather. You have to step out of the bedroom door and through an opposite door into the kitchenette and bathroom. That was the one and only thing we didn't like - otherwise, a great place.
- Vivin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelsey (10/5): Exceptional - We had a great stay at River Cottage. This was a little getaway for myself and my husband before the pending arrival of our first born in a few short weeks. Highly recommend everything about this stay, easy check in/out, accommodated our 2 dogs and had everything we needed.
- Melissa (8/5): Very good -
- Janelle (7/5): Good - Very comfortable and clean. Location was central to all peninsula attractions.
Greg is an obliquing host. Bathroom/toilet separate from bedroom Was unusual ?
- Cody (10/5): An incredibly relaxing holiday. - River Cottage is only a couple minute drive from some lovely cafes that look out at the beac. I thought it was a brilliant idea to have some movies in the room for the days where the weather wasn’t too great. A personal preference but the flavoured teas were lovely but a few coffee capsules or sachets would be good for everyone’s taste.
- Helen (10/5): Great stay, comfy space, has all you need. Nice walk to the beach. Great to bring our pup along too. Greg was an excelle - You have your own private section the property.
