Guest Reviews
- Caterina (10/5): - Fantastic variety of food, great location, awesome, would have liked to stay an extra night!
- Amanda (8/5): Beautiful and convenient location - The location was perfect for the wedding I was attending.
The gardens were stunning.
The host was lovely. The wet weather dampened the experience sadly.
Had difficulty getting to the door… through all the wet foliage and puddles while holding an umbrella and carrying my luggage, dressed in wedding attire.
A lot of banging on the roof for the whole night but assumed it was water dropping off overhead trees onto, what I assume, is a color bond roof?
- Sergio (9/5): - Quiet and with great breakfast provided for. It was really good value and if you like bush walking, plenty of choices.
- Chris (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Nice for a weekend or short stay
- Maree (10/5): We had a lovely stay! - Clean and comfortable. Great location.
- Anne (8/5): Thanks for a great stay! Added snacks and homemade biscuits were lovely! - Location, garden and comfy bed were all great! No lounge room

- Pinstripe (8/5): Perfect - It was the perfect location for our wedding. Very comfortable, appreciated the snacks provided Didnt realise there was no lounge room, however it was quite comfortable for our overnight stay

- Fiona (10/5): It was a lovely, comfortable place with beautiful gardens - Great location. We didn't have breakfast even though it was available. There was plenty of food to choose from, both fresh and packaged
- Holly (9/5): Lovely little spot. Perfect to get to local wedding venues (if you don’t mind walking up a hill) - Private. Null direct interaction with the hosts All was good nothing to complain about

- Linda (10/5): Amazing location and fantastic host ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Property is perfectly located and extremely well stocked with absolutely everything needed for a wonderful weekend away There is nothing not to like
- Laura (10/5): - The room was absolutely perfected and fitted out with more supplies than we could have ever imagined! We were only there for a wedding so it was a very brief visit but absolutely perfect for what we were after (a comfy bed and a quiet night's rest away from the kids 😅)

- Chris (10/5): - The location was beautiful and the place had everything we needed. The little touches such as lollies on the need for my daughter and muffins in the fridge, really made the trip that much more special.
- Vishnu (10/5): Would definitely recommend the place to stay - The location of the property was absolutely perfect for a nice forest retreat. Jenny was very accommodating and the complementary foods was an added bonus
- Nicole (9/5): Great overnight stay with family - We had a lovely overnight stay at Braeside Bliss and would have been happy to stay longer. The garden is beautiful and the bower birds were an added bonus. It's a nice quiet location in the beautiful Dandenongs near great gardens and walks. The host was very welcoming and helpful.
- Deepika (8/5): - Location is beautiful, quite and clean perfect place to spend some quality time with family. Enough food was provided for breakfast and lots of games for kids.
- Xi (9/5): Comfortable - Garden and environment Not very suitable for seniors
- Emily (10/5): -

- Leonie (10/5): Had a great time exploring the Dandenongs.we plan to return to Braeside Bliss - Loved the location, the gardens, the breakfast & snacks provided, host Jenny was great.
- Georgina (8/5): - The garden like setting and facilities as well as the close proximity to family at Christmas.
- Tylah (1/5): - The location was nice The host kept showing up to the location and demanded we pay extra if our sister came to visit us (not stay, just visit)
- Roger (9/5): - Very cosy and nicely furnished
Beautiful garden
Thoughtful snacks, condiments and breakfast items
- Gautham (1/5): TERRIBLE - EDIT: After talking to my sister, she said the host was looking into their window from outside at 7 am! Absolute invasion of privacy and creepy behaviour.
The overzealous host knocks on your door at 7 am to police how many people are occupying the accommodation citing insurance concerns, even though the accommodation is listed on Booking.com to be able to occupy up to 6 people (we only had 3 people staying there).
I booked the accommodation for my family of 3 to attend my wedding and for a brief 1 hour period, had 4 people on-site (a make-up artist came for my sister and mum). I guess they must not have ever travelled with friends or family or ever had other people visit their hotel room.
The host is very unaccommodating to any requests from guests and we had to change many transport and meeting plans for our wedding at the last minute because of this terrible host, causing a lot of extra stress.
I highly recommend you book somewhere else unless you love your host disturbing you multiple times during your stay.
- Lisa (10/5): Our host went above and beyond, would definitely recommend for a country get away with amazing views - Accommodation was more than we expected, from the tim tams on the beds to the snacks, assortment of tea and coffee, fresh milk, fruit, cereals and fresh bread dropped on our doorstep!
The amenities were great, if we had more time the outdoor setting and garden would have been amazing to spend more time in! A little odd walking through the toilet to the bathroom but really wasn't an issue!
- Shiela Ong (10/5): -
- Aron (7/5): -
- Rowena (9/5): Well appointed with supplies. -
- Garret (10/5): Relaxing, beautiful spot. I wish I could have stayed longer - I can’t emphasize enough how lovely Braeside Bliss is! Do yourself a favour and book immediately!
- Tegan (7/5): Not as relaxing as hoped - Scenery and cleanliness were amazing
Extremely comfortable beds There's no loungeroom or comfortable area to hang out. If you wanted to watch a movie as a family or friends, you have to lay on a bed together as the only communal area is the cold kitchen with a wooden table. We were having a girls trip so it wasn't the best situation to be in.
Only heaters in bedrooms, the rest of the place is freezing.
There are notes and rules everywhere. It's unnerving to go somewhere to relax but have signage on walls, doors, tables, even the beds.
We were each asked to park on the grass in a side street as the carport was flooded. I became bogged and couldn't get out. My friend also spun mud but managed to reverse successfully. When we told our host, although she apologised that it happened she offered no help or solution. My husband had to drive 2.5 hrs with 3 children to pull me out.
- Caitlin (10/5): - So cozy, bohemian vibes, lush garden right outside, all sorts of snacks and some brekky options available.
Jenny so accommodating as I was on a time crunch for a wedding and it was pouring down rain, she helped me take everything inside as I was in heels and bridesmaid dress 😅 Could not fault anything
- Schuller (8/5): - Comfortable welcoming, easy access, food and drinks complimentary Coffee was old, not enough heating throughout
- Brett (9/5): Somewhere to escape to - Quiet, peaceful location. Plenty of gardens to relax in and unwind. Beautifully furnished and well catered, especially if you come without any food to replenish your energy. Perfect for a couple to escape. Location is also a plus if you want to discover the area.
- Catherine (10/5): - quite surroundings and was very clean and comfortable
- Mark and Gayle (9/5): -
- Gemma (10/5): Relaxing, peaceful and refreshing. - The gardens were absolutely stunning and the house was gorgeous! It had this real homely feel to it. Very relaxing and comforting to be in. It felt like a family holiday home or visiting a friend. I couldn’t recommend it more. Can’t say there was anything I didn’t like.
- Corinne (7/5): -
- Annie (10/5): Blissful Stay - Where do we begin? Jen was absolutely wonderful, this was far more than just accommodation, we felt so taken care of. The garden is so lush and thriving and every detail was tended to with such beautiful intention. Already looking forward to our next stay. Couldn't fault our experience.
- Jennifer (10/5): Cosy, beautiful scenery , close to town and wonderful host - Location, cosy and special treats for kids from host! Nothing it was great
- Berryman (10/5): A little Garden of Eden in the Hills - Fantastic accommodation!! The host was absolutely lovely, the property was stunning, the rooms were comfortable, tidy and well stocked!!! 10/10 will be staying here again! Our most favourite part of the property was by far the gorgeous garden!! So many plants, wildlife and places to sit and enjoy nature
- Cate (10/5): Another Blissful time at Braeside - This is our third visit to Braeside Bliss and it never disappoints. Jenny very generously stocks the kitchen with plenty of goodies. Great bedding and shower. We definitely be back soon. Could not fault the accommodation
- Nitika (9/5): Will come back!!!! - Decor! Owner went above and beyond with food and snacks made available.Felt at home! Little pricey for 1 night
It doesnt have heating in the living area
- Bampfield (9/5): - Fantastic hospitality! The children loved exploring the big outdoor spaces and squealed with delight when seeing the treats Jenny left on their beds and in the kitchen. The beds were warm and comfortable and although there wasn’t a living room, one wasn’t needed. Everything was clean and neat. The children played with the blocks and board games provided, the perfect place for a weekend getaway. We hope to return one day!
- Alannah (10/5): Braeside Bliss was the perfect reset from city life! - Jenny went above and beyond to make sure the property had everything you need — the fresh flowers and snacks were a thoughtful touch. The property had a gorgeous garden, good heating, and comfortable bedding. Jenny was contactable from start to finish of the stay. We would love to stay here again!
- Mihnea Stanciuc & (6/5): - Clean and tidy Unfortunately it was so so cold. Only one small heater to warm the entire cottage. For $250 a night at least you should be getting functioning heater especially in winter. Forget going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It was just so freezing
- Christine (6/5): - The beds were comfortable. Every place we had stayed at up until braeside had warmed the apartment. Instead we were greeted by freezing air and orders from front door. Do this, don't do that. There was nowhere to relax. The beds were comfortable.
- Kim (10/5): Very cute. Exceptionally clean and it would have been nice to stay longer. - The decor was wonderful. All instructions simple and easy to follow. We had an amazing dinner close by and then came home to tea and bikkies. Then coffee in the garden in the morning. A lovely night away. It took a little while to heat up but it was a very cold night and the heated blanket was great. Lots of extra big blankets if needed too.
- emma (2/5): - It was clean Too many rules . I understand all places have policies and procedures but this place was ridiculous.
- X Tan (9/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Great for small families. We were sad to leave! - Beautiful rooms, decorated with care and artistic flair. We loved the magical “fairy” garden and thoughtful touches like snacks and real coffee. The kids were so excited to have a treat waiting on their beds for them!
- Hollie (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, fresh, and Jenny was so helpful lovely treats and fresh flowers on arrival Not that I didn't like it, but dad is on a walker and in wheelchair, it would be an even better if door had a ramp access, but then it isn't advertised as disabled friendly, so no complaints here
- Tim (8/5): Great Place in a beautiful Quiet Area - Great Accommodation in a quiet little area, Kitchen was stocked really well with all sorts of snacks and such. The "Loungeroom" isn't a vibe, but didn't matter as the main bedroom is nice to hang out in.
- Carr (7/5): Good value but you must follow all the rules - Great location Too many rules and signs telling us what to do, felt more like we were on school camp than having a night to stay somewhere accomodating.
- Irene (10/5): A beautiful mountain retreat - Beautifully appointed and decorated Family Suite. It was a very comfortable stay in a quiet neighborhood. There were so many thoughtful amenities throughout and the kitchenette was stocked with food, fruits and snacks, way more than we needed or could have consumed during our stay! The surrounding gardens were lush and beautiful, and it was lovely listening to the sounds of birds. We were at Braeside Bliss for only one night and wished we could have stayed for longer! We loved everything about the property!
- Claire (8/5): Beautiful retreat, wonderful host. - There was a lot to like! the Host had gone out of her way to make us feel at home. The decor was homely, with nice touches such as fresh flowers in the bathroom. She had made not just breakfast available, but loads of snacks including soups. the bedrooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable. It was very cold in the one communal room, the kitchen/diner - no lounge room. A heater in there would have really helped our stay.
- Anthony (9/5): It was clean but the pillows very uncomfortable and the bed not very comfortable. Other than that it was a nice place to - The setting of all beautiful gardens.
- Navita (8/5): Brilliant - Beautiful location, aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. The host is very helpful and kind and even managed to organise a special request. Thank you for making the stay special and very enjoyable. Love the interiors of the house , it’s welcoming and calming
- Naomi (10/5): If you’re looking for a beautiful cozy stay I highly recommend, our stay was amazing and the hosts really go above and b - It was beautiful and it gave the coziness we were looking for.
- Lyvidian1 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yan (8/5): Nice and quiet place in the middle of a great garden - The welcoming hosts and great garden set-up for visitors to relax and enjoy. It's a hidden gem in the rainforest. You will get 3 different types of pillows to choose from, so considerate. Lots of snacks for kids.... the breakfast is simple but great. Hopefully there's a sofa in the family suite.
- Eastwell (10/5): Exceptional -
- R (10/5): Cosy and inviting with a beautiful garden to relax in. - Set amongst beautiful trees and gardens. Beds were very comfy, snacks, continental breakfast. Lovely decor. No lounge but a dining table to sit around. 5 mins drive to Kallista shops. Peaceful and tranquil.
- Leah (9/5): Superb -
- Agatha (9/5): Cosy and comfortable with a lot more than we bargained for. - Cosy and comfortable and close to Lyrebird Falls. Pleasant stay and lots of snacks and goodies on the house. Thanks
- Corinne (8/5): Very good -
- Brigette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rose (7/5): Good - Host very kind. The property had a large undercover area which was great for relaxing with a drink. Did not like the fact that you had to walk through the toilet to get to the bathroom.
- Barbara (10/5): Lovely location and very nice host. - This property was very close to the reason for my being in the Dandenongs - the Ferny Creek Rare Plant Fair. It was very much in the tone of a lively garden. Not much.
- Narelle (10/5): Amazing setting - Absolutely beautiful setting with an amazing garden and a lovely place to stay. Jenny was great to deal with and provided lots of little extra treats and snacks.
We had a lovely stay at Braeside Bliss.
- Rebecca (8/5): Delightful for a weekend stay in hills - Quiet, clean Memory foam pillows were too hard
- Sini (9/5): Comfy accommadation in the heart of Dandenong Ranges - Braeside Bliss was a comfy accommodation in Sherbrooke. Big bedrooms and a bunk-bed for the little ones worked for us. Unfortunately there was no kitchen amenities, but that wasn't such a big deal for us.
- Diane (10/5): Tranquil & Relaxed - This lovely & quirky property is situated in an amazing place. The gardens are absolutely stunning & our host Jenny was just lovely ☺️ Thanks for the mosquito coils, the fresh lemons & the extra checkout time, greatly appreciated!
Will definitely be returning soon hopefully for a longer visit! Not a single thing.
- Geoffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Saly (10/5): Exceptional - The surroundings were just beautiful. The snacks supplied were great, and lots to choose from. It was really hard to find, as there was minimal signage. We drove past it twice, before we found the actual location
- Tracey (8/5): Very good - Location excellent, lovely leafy neighborhood. Very clean and all that we required for the night.
- Lynette (10/5): Awesome stay. - Peaceful, clean and beautiful
- Valerie (9/5): Blissful stay at Braeside Bliss, Sherbrooke - Located in a quiet street, no traffic noises
Great to have use of carport
Bread supplied as well as fruit, yoghurt and other basic food items to be able to use for breakfast and or midnight snacks
Large unit with seperate dining room/sitting room, plenty of storage in bedroom, access to courtyard garden area which was lovely.
Supplied toiletries etc.
Would stay again if needing accomdation in this area No external lighting from carport to front door when returning to unit at 11.30pm after attending wedding.
A senor light would be lovely as walking area was grassy, mossy and was a bit slippery due to rain. We used our torch on our phone.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - I can't rate this accommodation highly enough. We stayed in the family suite, and it was just perfect for what we needed. We particularly liked that the host provided little age appropriate touches, like a box full of blocks that my toddler loved playing with, and a toddler seat for the toilet. She was on communication prior to the stay to ensure we had everything we needed (eg portacot).
- Janine (8/5): Very good - Comfortable lodgings , well equipped with snacks etc Finding the place...no optus so no google map!
Maybe advise on your website about phone coverage! And lack of signature at driveway and outdoor lighting
- Sahibzada (6/5): Not a place you would go to with kids. - The zen like feeling that the property had due to the amazing gardening and the surrounding area. The kids bunk beds were in an open area with no heating and the temperature went below freezing point. Not wheelchair friendly or friendly for people with a disability. Extremely compact kitchen that with barely any decent space to sit on the dining table (that was also within the kitchen). Distance wise it isn't too far from the shops but the landscape is such that it does seem very very isolated with nothing close by
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Heather (8/5): Just what we were looking for, for a one night stay. - Great location close to the venue we were visiting. Lovely gardens, quiet and peaceful.
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional - It was quiet and in a gorgeous location I had no internet
- Matt (10/5): Cosy place that I look forward to return to in the winter - The owner is house-proud, which means really a lot of rules, but the result is a cosy suite with a personal touch. I would have said that it’s not convenient for people without cars, but we found a shortcut to Kallista (the no-through road at the left of the end of the street) rather than the “zig-zag of death”, so nothing.
