• Grace Khathutshelo (9/5): Uburnzulu house - The place is nice and clean very beautiful like in the pictures. It was lovely being in that place and so peaceful. The WiFi connection was very low it kept on disconnecting I had to connect using my phone.

• Mphasi (9/5): A good one. - A very beautiful place located in a quiet neighbourhood. I fell in love immediately I got there. The room had a fully equipped coffee place in the room. Cleanlines is top notch. I didn't take breakfast because the worker I met in the morning and I didn't know if the booking included breakfast. Since I had an early morning engagement I just left. I had to order dinner as the facility does not offer such a service. The owner, however, did all the ordering and all, I only had to pay the Lodge. I wish the lodge would also be operating a kitchen for guests who don't want to go out. All in all I give the place a 9 out of 10. I would sure make this my destination when in Joburg again Have written everything up there

• Kelly (8/5): Peaceful, quiet and budget stay - Simple breakfast, nothing fancy; egg, bacon, toast bread and tea. Quiet location and serene yet close to Morningside Shopping Centre where you can find any fine dinning and convenience retail stores. Just one night, New Year's there was a group that was hosted and was abit noisy but understandable, it was during the day.

• Thais (9/5): Confortável e relaxante. - O que mais gostamos foi da gentileza das pessoas, chegamos muito antes do horário do check in e nos deixaram guardar as malas, sabiam que era minha lua de mel e preparam uma linda recepção com vinho, frutas e um cartão escrito a mão que levei de lembrança comigo. O local é muito confortável e o bairro é tranquilo, mas estando ali só pra fazer coisas com Bolt ou Uber. Em alguns detalhes a limpeza poderia ser melhor, mas são apenas detalhes.

• Thomas (9/5): De l'espace, de la lumière, personnel très agréable. - Situé à deux pas du lycée français, on peut s'y rendre à pied. Espaces vastes, lieu très calme. Propriétaire parlant français et très accueillant. Personnel très agréable, efficace et soucieux de répondre à mes attentes. J'ai passé mon premier mois en Afrique du Sud à Urban Zulu House et en garde un excellent souvenir.
• Balo (8/5): great experience overall - The location is very convenient, about 1 km from Morningside Shopping Centre. The guest house has nice features, including a beautiful garden and outdoor pool, which make it a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. It’s a comfortable spot that offers good value and a peaceful environment in the heart of Sandton. They even have a salon and a boutique. Other guests were drunk and rowdy near our room way after midnight, and no one from the guest house intervened to control the noise or situation. It made the environment uncomfortable and stressful. • Sanele (3/5): Not impressed - Great location. Poor service overall. The staff could do with a checklist of items to cover during check-in. For example, we had to ask for the internet password, which was neither offered nor dispalyed anywhere in the unit. Further, details regarding breakfast arrangements were not covered. I'm talking about basics like from what time to what time breakfast is served or what the menu looks like. When we enquired about the breakfast set-up in the morning the lady in the front desk was surprised that we had booked any, and what followed was a back of forth of Whatsapp messaging between herself and the host. This is not even the worst part- we woke up to ice-cold water and the geyser was only switched-on upon enquiry; why the geyser would be switched off when there are guests is beyond me. Long story short, our departure was delayed due to the water situation and we requested a refund for the breakfast portion.

Also, beyond emptying being, then need to clean the room everyday is also not necessary. The place struggled to handle demand load for electricity at night.

All the facilities were in good condition and there was everything I needed for my stay. There was a used shower gel in the shower,so it made me doubt if the shower was cleaned after the last guest.

It was extremely spacious with a luxurious bath and shower! Would have loved to stay longer to take advantage of the pool and the braai area! And thanks to Fani for make it an overall excellent, if way too short, experience. The sliding door in the guest room needs fixing.

I’m talking about the fashion gallery, the salon, the comfortable bed, the super soft and clean WHITE linen, the fast free Wi-Fi, the pool view and easy access to it, the friendly staff, and the amazingly kind hearted hosts. 😊 Nothing.

The owner was rude, grumpy, not respectful, he chased us out of the accommodation just because I broke some small part of a door frame, he even made us pay R2000 just to fix something that could have been fixed with a minor +/-R500. I am very disappointed with my stay in the accommodation, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there as long as that owner is still behaving that certain way.

• Zakithi (8/5): Lovely place for a short stay! - The property is exactly as advertised on Booking.com. The room was clean and the pool was exceptional. The staff on the property (special mention for Franny, she’s amazing!) were friendly and helpful. Our host, I believe it was, was also very attentive and ensured that we were comfortable throughout our stay. Construction was taking place at the time of our booking so there were quite a few people on the property well into the evening. However, they were not bothersome at all.

• Masuku (9/5): Superb - Good service.Even though the place is still under construction we were given excellent service by both the staff and the owner They went all out and organized a very nice breakfast for us and even helped us take photos around.The pool was clean .Beds were comfortable, fridges ,microwaves were spot-on. Smart tv s were really a 🍒 on top.Keep it up The fact that the big family rooms with a kitchenette were still under construction, but the boss was kind enough to show us around,we can't wait to come back for a visit soon when they're done so my family will be the first to enjoy the stay

There were some issues; for example, there was no fridge in our room as promised, and we couldn't use a bathtub because the stopper was missing, which defeats the purpose of booking a room with a tub. It would be lovely if they considered an electronic gate, as there are a lot of cars driving in and out.
