• Sabine (7/5): - sauber und gepflegt, eine schöne dachterrasse und ordentliches frühstück. ein kleines stück in den ort zu gehen, aber es liegt sehr schön am meer. leider hatten wir nicht das glück, ein zimmer mit meerblick zu haben, sondern hinten im haus mit fenster in einen schacht mit den klimaanlagen. der lärm war fast nicht zu ertragen, das war leider nicht so gut.

• Telma (7/5): Opção boa para São Miguel - Relativamente perto do centro de São Filipe acessível a pé. Quarto espaçoso e limpo. Pequeno almoço, pessoal da cozinha disponível e simpático. Um taxista estava no cais à minha chegada, apesar de eu ter especificado que não queria transporte. Inicialmente pensei que estivesse incluído na reserva do hotel, mas depois fui informada de que teria de pagar um valor extra. Seria boa prática informarem corretamente os hóspedes antes de ativarem qualquer serviço adicional. O quarto situava-se numa zona pouco silenciosa, com bastante ruído proveniente dos aparelhos de ar condicionado. Não é uma boa opção para quem pretende subir ao vulcão (custo do transporte privado para a caldeira- para isso aconselho ficar na caldeira).

• Möhle (6/5): - Leider habe ich ein Doppelzimmer ohne Balkon gebucht und hatte dadurch nur ein Recht steriles Zimmer mit Fenster in den Flur. Die Zimmer mit Balkon werden deutlich besser sein und einen schönen Ausblick haben. Von der Dachterrasse war der Ausblick herrlich. Ich habe dort im Restaurant sehr gut gegessen. Das Zimmer war sauber. Insgesamt blieb die Unterkunft leider hinter meinen Erwartungen zurück. Die Ausstattung entsprach nicht der Beschreibung, es fehlten Dinge und es war sehr ungemütlich und kahl. Der äußere Teil der Klimaanlage der anderen Zimmer war leider sehr laut. Das Frühstück war ok. Die Kommunikation mit dem Personal war ok, könnte aber optimiert werden. Das Buchen von Ausflügen über die Unterkunft hat trotz vorheriger Rücksprache dazu auch nicht wirklich geklappt. Die Lage ist zwar direkt am Meer, jedoch etwas ab vom Schuss und leider gibt es keinen nahegelegenen Strandzugang. Ich würde nächste Mal tatsächlich eine andere Unterkunft wählen.

Belle terrasse pour le petit déjeuner ou il est possible également de manger. Personnel très sympathique. Nous avons rencontré en ville un guide nommé Papinha qui se disait envoyé par la Guest House. Nous l’avons utilisé pour un Tour de l’Ile avec ascension du Pico Pèqueno mais il n’est pas compétent et il est à éviter.

They arranged transfer to the airport for me and made me a sandwich instead of breakfast (early check out). The reception was unavailable and the doorbell was broken - I had to call the bar for them to let me in.

• Axel (9/5): Dachterrasse mit Bar und Sonnenuntergang - Die Dachterrasse mit Blick auf das Meer. Herzliches Personal und gute Küche Leider ist es nicht einfach das Hotel zu finden da es sich am Ende einer Sackgasse befindet. Kein Schild weist den Weg. Es wäre auch eine gute Idee die Klingel an der Tür zu reparieren!

• ROBERT (8/5): Quiet location with great views of ocean and Brava Island - Breakfast was adequate, internet was good. Restaurant and bar not promoted. No daily specials or cocktail of the week for example. When having complmentary breakfast noindication that this becomes a restaurant and cocktail bar.in the evening.

Établissement un peu excentré, 10 minutes de marche. nous avons surtout eu un problème avec un guide nommé P..y qui nous a un peu entubé en nous prenant un peu cher et en annulant une destination, et en ne venant pas à la deuxième journée ! A éviter..! c'est fort dommageable pour l'ensemble des autres guides qui restent très sympathique et pour la réputation de cet établissement

• Valentin (10/5): Très bel hôtel avec magnifique vue pour séjour à Sao philipe - Très bel hôtel, chambre très propre je recommande vivement les chambres avec vue sur la mer ! Personnel accueillant et gentil, bon petit déjeuner Pas d’accès à la mer directement depuis l’hôtel, il faut marcher un peu (5/10 mins) Point d’attention concernant les guides extérieurs autorisés à entrer dans l’hôtel et qui sollicitent les clients de manière insistante pour proposer des excursions sur l’île. Après plusieurs recherches en ligne et échanges avec d’autres voyageurs, ces personnes ne semblent pas fiables (malgré une histoire bien rodée..) : expériences décevantes, tarifs élevés et variables selon les clients, augmentations de prix en cours d’excursion. Il serait préférable que l’hôtel travaille avec des agences locales reconnues et de confiance, afin de garantir la sécurité et la satisfaction des voyageurs. Cela contribuerait à rendre le séjour plus serein et à offrir une meilleure expérience globale aux futurs clients

• Céline (7/5): Bien pour la vue - La vue depuis la terrasse. Le fait de pouvoir dîner sur place. Avant notre arrivée sur l’île j’ai demandé s’il y avait des colectivo ou taxi pour l’hôtel et quel était le tarif. Une fois arrivés, bagages récupérés je n’avais toujours pas de réponse, nous avons donc rejoint l’hôtel par nos propres moyens. À mi chemin de l’hôtel, je reçois un message m’informant qu’un taxi nous attend. Trop tard donc… En arrivant, l’accueil était très froid, parce que nous n’avons pas pris leur taxi arrivé trop tard et dont nous ignorions la venue ? Nous avons dû demander à changer de chambre en début de soirée, après que le lit soit infesté de fourmis. La literie grince, à chaque mouvement on est réveillés par le bruit. Et pour finir, au dîner, nous avons pris une bouteille de vin et des entrées. Pour les poissons, en plat, il y avait la choix entre 2 cartes, l’une clairement moins chère que l’autre. Nous avons demandé la difference : la moins chère est servie moins copieusement. Au vu de nos estomacs déjà bien comblés par les entrées, nous avons pris la carte courte, la serveuse a bien compris et finalement à la fin du repas nous avons dû payer le prix de la carte la plus copieuse (quasiment le double). On a eu beau dire qu’on avait choisi la plat léger, on a été obligés de payer prix fort. On a des doutes sur l’honnêteté…

• Lili (8/5): - Nice big room, good breakfast on very nice terrace. Room with a window which face the interior of the building where the outdoor air conditioning units are located, so it can be noisy in the room. The walls in the room should be painted because they are quite dirty. One evening we ordered dinner, but unfortunately we were not impressed.
• Lili (10/5): - Room was nice, clean and big with amazing view. Breakfast was good. Just have to pay attention to a few small details, for example we didn't have a shower head (the one part was missing), one chair on the balcony was missing. But that didn't spoil our stay in the room. We also have some small misunderstanding with the guy who is in charge for the accommodation, but it was sorted out.

• patrick (5/5): chambre très sombre sans ouverture extérieure... nous avons changé d'hôtel ! - Nous n'avons pas pris la chambre qui nous a été proposée à notre arrivée car elle ne correspondait pas au descriptif de booking.com. La chambre très sombre n'avait pas d'ouverture vers l'extérieur alors que la description indiquait un balcon. Le personnel a toutefois été très comprehensif et nous a aidé à trouver un autre hôtel. Nous avons été remboursés le lendemain de la chambre que nous avions payé en arrivant, avant de la visiter.

Le moustiquaire de la porte patio était trop petit donc impossible de dormir avec la porte ouverte. La sollicitation par des taximan/ guides pour aller au pico directement dans l’hôtel.

Nachmittags 15-18 Uhr direkt Sonne auf dem Balkon. Dann mussten Türen und Vorhänge zu und mit Klimaanlage war alles okay. Das Bad sehr sauber und die beste Dusche bisher auf den Kapverden.

Attention : vérifiez bien les compétences linguistiques des guides/chauffeurs avant de partir ; le nôtre ne comprenait pas le français contrairement à ce qui etait annoncé, ce qui a gâché la communication durant le tour de l'île."

• Edgar (9/5): - Tolle Lage, sehr gepflegt. Es gab immer wieder abends Stromausfälle. Einmal sogar über 6 Stunden. Da hätte ich erwartet, dass jemand vom Personal im Haus ist und vielleicht eine Taschenlampe bereitstellt, dass man sich zumindest die Zähne putzen kann. Ich hatte auch einen Wasserrohrbruch im Bad und konnte dieses dann nicht mehr benutzen. Auch hier hätte ich erwartet, dass ich eine kleine Entschädigung erhalte. Schade eigentlich , denn ansonsten war alles toll.

Mit dem Guide Claudio Lopes (+2389871360) habe ich eine tolle Wanderung zum Vulkan unternommen. Er hat mich früh morgens am Gästehaus abgeholt und am Nachmittag dort wieder abgesetzt, pünktlich und preiswert.
• Jannis (10/5): - Tolle Lage mit wunderschönem Blick aufs Meer, die Küste und den Sonnenuntergang. Das Frühstück war super und Zimmer schön ruhig. Die Lage in einem ruhigen Viertel, etwas abseits des Trubels. Man läuft aber auch nur 10 Minuten ins Zentrum. Das Personal war den kapverdischen Verhältnissen entsprechend angenehm. Im Allgemeinen sind besonders im touristischen Bereich die Menschen bereits etwas müde vom Tourismus (verständlicherweise). Darauf sollte man sich einstellen. Claudio, ein Vermittler/Guide, bietet vor Ort Touren an. Wir haben eine Tour mit Caesar gemacht (hier ist Portugiesisch von Vorteil, da es sonst eine reine Taxi Tour ist). Wir haben uns nach der Inseltour (Natural Pools, Affenbaum, Kaffeeplantagen, Küsten, S. Bilder) in Cha das Caldeiras absetzen lassen. Caesar war ein angenehmer Zeitgenosse, hat uns um die Insel gefahren und war für das eine oder andere Gespräch auf Portugiesisch zu haben. Die Unterkunft selbst war super. Claudio vermittelt in der Unterkunft Touren. Ein keiner Hinweis für Claudio: auch wenn man müde vom Tourismus ist, ist es sehr respektlos, in Hörweite über die Menschen, die gerade deine Tour angenommen haben, lautstark abzulästern. Insbesondere wenn man etwas Criol und Portugiesisch versteht).

• Sergey (8/5): - Мы останавливались на одну ночь, на время между прилётом и заездом в кальдеру. Для проживания на короткое время, вполне прилично и недорого. В номере чисто, есть кондиционер, горячая вода. Вид с ресторана, находящийся на крыше, восхитительный. Пляж с вулканическим песком находится прям под нами, но так как здание расположено на скале, до пляжа нужно спускаться, надо пройтись. Центр города в пешей доступности.

• Eric (8/5): - Ante todo el trato del personal es superior!!!, y hacen que nuestra valoración sea máxima, Janis y su compañera, inmejorables!!!. Cuentan con una carta en el restaurante bastante básica pero lo preparan todo muy bien, mantienen el hotel ellas solas con una versatilidad asombrosa!!!. Nuestra habitación con un balcón a la playa y el sonido de las olas en la noche lo convierten en un pequeño hotel con mucho encanto .

• Pamela (10/5): You gotta stay here. 👍 - New boutique hotel. Well kept. Room had lots of space and storage. Rooftop restaurant with gorgeous view of the ocean below. Food was great; home cooked by Fatima, Vany, and Lidiane. Breakfast is included. Made to order eggs (the veggie and cheese omelet is really, really, really good - and big). All staff are so nice, sweet and fun. Not really a dislike - more of a suggestion; a safe in the room would be a great addition.

Petit déjeuner et dîner sur la terrasse avec vue sur mer. Difficile de se faire comprendre quand on ne parle pas portugais.

• cordula (10/5): - Unbedingt die Zimmer mit Meerblick und Balkon buchen. Sehr nettes Petsonal , Fatima und Vany versuchen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Unbedingt nach Essen fragen, was nicht auf der Karte steht. Sonderwünsche sind möglich. Rooftop Restaurant im Haus, dort wird auch das Frühstück serviert. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.
• SERGEI (8/5): Аскетично и спокойно - Нас быстро заселили. Номер находился на том же этаже, что и ресепш. Половина номеров без окон или окна выходили в коридорную шахту, поэтому мы выбрали номер с видом на океан и балконом. Прекрасный вид, комфортный балкон, тихо и шум океана. На дверях балкона есть сетки. Сам номер просторный, очень простой, вода горячая была. Здесь есть завтрак на верхней террасе с видом на океан и остров, завтрак небольшой, но хватит для начала дня. Я бы добавила в завтрак омлет или глазунью. Отель находится в стороне от центра, но так как у нас была машина, поэтому до центра добирались на ней. Тем более нужно было идти высоко в гору. Ближе к вечеру вкусный хлеб покупали в пекарне Padaria Maria Augusta. А вот близкого выхода к пляжу не нашли. Сверх аскетично) Даже мыла нет для рук. Wi-fi невероятно слабо. Наверное, только ближе к ресепшн ловит. Кровать скрипит от любого поворота. Очень мало света, 1 лампочка на комнату.

• Eberhard (7/5): - Sehr schöne Aussicht aus unserem Balkonzimmer auf Brava und die Küste, gutes wenn auch kleines Doppelbett(knapp 140cm). Schönes kleines Dachrestaurant und Frühstücksplatz mit Ausblick, teilweise überdacht. Wäsche vor Ort möglich und günstig.Es gibt in 200m Entfernung ein tolles neues Schwimmbad, Niemand weiß es, keine Info über Öffnungszeiten oder Preise. Durch Zufall kamen wir um 20 Uhr rein, der Boy hat nach uns erstmal abgeschlossen, Preis ?? Schließlich wollte er 2000 cve ?? Wir gaben dann 2x200, das war wohlok.. Moskitogitter an der Balkontür konnten wir sebst reparieren, war auch im Nachbarzimmer defekt (Nieten ausgebrochen). Hotel abgelegen, Fußweg nachts evtl nicht empehlenswert, besser günstige Taxis nehmen.Restaurant im Hotel sehr einfach, auch Frühstück einfach, Eier dauern.., , Viele Zimmer haben nur Fenster nach innen. Das Hotel liegt Luftlinie kaum 100m zum Strand auf dem Plateau, aber kein Fußweg oder Treppe in der näheren Umgebung. Viel Bauaktivität in der Umgebung, Meeresrauschen übertönt Baulärm. Alle raten vom Schwimmen im Meer ab, auch bei geringen Wellen. Von einsamen Strandspaziergängen wird abgeraten..

• Celine (5/5): moyen - nous avons aimé la vue sur Brava, sur la plage de sable noir, et le coucher de soleil. Jolie terrasse de toit avec bar. Chambre ok. La communication au niveau du personnel laisse à désirer. Nous avions échangé par écrit en anglais et tout avait l'air facile. La réservation du taxi pour prendre notre avion le lendemain n'a pas été honorée alors qu'elle était confirmée par écrit !! Très fâcheux ! Nous avons du nous débrouiller et demander à la femme de ménage de nous trouver un autre taxi ne voyant pas l'autre arriver. Sur la terrasse, malgré les personnes attablées pour prendre un verre, les ouvriers se sont engagés à peindre au pistolet des barrières malgré le vent, toutes les projections toxiques venaient sur les clients
• Celmar (10/5): Avec les bonnes chambres, c'est vraiment super - Personnel très attentif et sympathique Surtout ne pas prendre une chambre qui ne donne pas sur la mer ! La moitié des chambres n'ont pas de fenêtre, l'autre moitié est super !!!
• David (10/5): Excellente option pour un séjour à São Filipe - Chambres confortables avec climatisation. Le restaurant sur la terrasse était bien apprécié. Nourriture simple préparée avec soin. Vue magnifique sur la mer. À seulement 5 min de taxi de l’aéroport. Bonne qualité/prix.

• Sergio (4/5): Arrived with High Hopes, Left Disappointed - The staff were very kind and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The mattress was comfortable and allowed for a good night’s rest, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. Despite having exterior rooms available, we were assigned an interior room with a very small window facing a rather dirty inner courtyard. Being on the ground floor, the room had almost no natural light and very limited ventilation. We would have gladly paid extra for an exterior room if that option had been offered to us. The window also lacked a mosquito net (unlike the exterior rooms, according to our neighbors). The room lighting was limited to a single white, hospital-style light, with no bedside or reading lights. Although the room had air conditioning, we couldn’t use it while sleeping due to the noise, which made the heat inside the room unbearable. Breakfast was acceptable but more basic than in other hotels of the same category, although the omelette was excellent. The views from the terrace are spectacular; however, the overall atmosphere there feels quite cold, and the white lighting does not help.

• Cedric Schuster (5/5): - The view from the terrace, the breakfast and cleanliness Honestly I am surprised by all only positive reviews: - the rooms that are not facing the sea have no windows, no light, no air unless with AC blasting. We can hear all ACs from different rooms through the only gap in the wall. - the place had great ideas of building whatever the whole evenings just to make sure a disc saw and welding stand will entertain your drink, and when the employees are done, they'll turn on the music until very late (or early). - worst of all, someone from the hotel got really pushy to be our guide the next days...we never asked anything, and didn't want him, but when crossing him the next day he insulted us aggressively that we were just liars and a bunch of other things. Thanks but I don't need my hotel to gather local thugs. Definitely by far the least enjoyable place we went to in Cape verde...
• Kaja (8/5): Very comfortable bed, nice location, amazing sea view - The bed is very comfortable, clean sheets and towels, nice balcony looking at the sea, airconditioner saved our lives during the day (it was very hot in Sao Filipe), they prepared us breakfast for the next morning because we had an early flight. The music from the bar/restaurant upstairs woke me up from my afternoon nap, but the host was prepared to switch room next door. So if you would like to rest in the hotel ask for a room that is not facing the shaft were you can hear everything going around.
• Gastone S. (10/5): Simple, but authentic - It's a simple guest house, but with an authentic feel. We stayed in the sea-view rooms, right in front of the beautiful black beach. It was lovely to hear the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. The room was large enough, simply furnished, and had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast, served on the veranda, was very good and varied. We also had dinner (someone wrote that you could not have dinner, which was very strange...) and we must say that we ate very well. We believe that, at a reasonable price, it is the best establishment on the whole island of Fogo. We recommend it.

• Meeli (7/5): - Suurepärane rikkalik hommiku- ja õhtusöök, kus pakuti kohalikke toite. Suur tunnustus kokkadele! Toas oli ainult üks ülipisike aken, mis avanes tuulutuspüstakusse. Konditsioneeri töötades põrises selle pump nii, et ei saanud magama jääda. Ruumid olid küll puhtad, kuid enne külastaja saabumist oleks võinud wc põrandalt ka surnud prussaka ära koristada.
