• Sharon (10/5): - We had a lovely 3 day stay at this friendly family-run guesthouse - Maria made us so welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean and looked out onto the beautiful terrace with amazing views across Gjirokaster to the castle, with the mountains behind. The guest house is situated up the hill from Gjirokaster but it's not far to walk into the centre, and it's worth it! Breakfast was very generous and we ate on the terrace, enjoying the view. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Gjirokaster. Nothing - it was perfect!

Es muss bei der Buchung aufgepasst werden, bei einem Zimmer ist das Bad am Flur und somit auch im Aufenthaltsraum. Ein kostenloses Upgrade hat es leider nicht gegeben trotz freier Zimmer. Nur Barzahlung möglich. Frühstück war wie überall in Albanien.

Wer sich nicht sicher fühlt, mit einem Mietwagen enge sehr steile Kopfsteinstraßen auf belebten Gässchen zu befahren, sollte eine andere Unterkunft wählen oder die letzten paar 100 Meter zu Fuß gehen. Ist keine Kritik, weil die Lage einfach mega ist.

The terrace is a brilliant place to relax and eat the yummy breakfast. The host is so welcoming and friendly and will always try her best to help you and make you feel at home!

• RAFAELA (10/5): Uma vista deslumbrante - Será, de certeza, um dos locais com a melhor vista de Gjirokaster. O café da manhã com a vista do castelo e da montanha é espetacular. A senhora da acomodação é bastante atenciosa, acolhedora e irá te fazer se sentir muito bem-vindo. Ter estacionamento é um diferencial! Consegue-se ir à pé para todos os pontos turísticos da cidade. Com certeza recomendo. Não é um problema da acomodação, mas sim de Gjirokaster… o Google maps não funciona tão bem na cidade (vai mandar que siga, mesmo de carro, por escadas, etc.), mas se seguir o croqui que a guesthouse envia, conseguirá encontrar o local.

Además de la limpieza El acceso en coche muy dificultoso , el Google maps te indica mal, con el riesgo de tener un problema si vas en coche, y el mapa que mandan los propietarios poco aclaratorio. Y la habitación que nos asignaron , ponía en la web que tenía baño privado pero estaba fuera de la habitación ion en el comedor que se compartía con otros clientes,( lo cual es algo incómodo) y no lo detallaba en la publicidad.
• Verena (10/5): Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft perfekt geeignet für die Erkundung von Gjirokastra! - Die Lage auf dem Berg mit Blick auf die Burg und die Altstadt ist wirklich der Hammer! Allerdings muss man natürlich gut zu Fuß sein, weil man abends dann immer wieder den Berg herauf muss. Maria hat uns super freundlich begrüßt und mit Hilfe von Google Translate alles erklärt. Das Frühstück wurde liebevoll hergerichtet und man konnte gemütlich auf der Terrasse frühstücken. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Wir waren am Wochenende da und aus der Altstadt schallt laute Partymusik den Berg herauf. Dafür kann aber natürlich die Gastgeberin nichts.

Nos han hecho sentir como en casa, ha sido super flexible con nosotras para el desayuno. Las vistas desde la terraza es espectacular! Complicado llegar en coche por culpe de maps pero te lo explican muy bien ellos por mensaje.

• Roelofs (10/5): Niet makkelijk te berijken maar het verblijf is heerlijk. - De gastvrouw, We konden de plaats niet vinden en de gastvrouw kwam ons ophalen met haar auto. De plaats heeft een geweldig balkon met fantastisch uitzicht waar we ontbeten.

Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren die je graag helpen. Locatie is wat lastig te vinden maar ook daar helpen ze goed mee door een routebeschrijving te sturen zodat je niet vast komt te zitten in de nauwe steile straatjes. Alles was prima.

The room that we booked first was without window and very dark which was not visible from the photos. We had to change to more expensive room (+50% of the price) and that room was very good. Also there is no place to cook which was a surprise for us because we saw kitchen on the photos. Breakfast is very poor, was useless for us.

• Guest (10/5): - Værten var den sødeste og skønneste person man kunne forestille sig. Hun snakker ikke engelsk, men hendes gæstfrihed stråler i gennem hende. Udsigten er helt formidabel. Det var så skønt at kunne sidde på terrassen og nyde udsigten.

• Christine (9/5): Tolles kleines familiäres Guesthouse mit wunderschöner Terrasse - mit lohnenswertem, kleinem anstrengenden Aufstieg - Kleines Guesthouse von einer lieben Familie geführt. Die Gastgeberin Maria gibt sich größte Mühe und führt ihre Unterkunft mit viel Liebe. Alles ist spotless sauber. Ein absolutes Highlight ist die Terrasse mit herrlichem Blick auf Gjirokastra und die Burg. Diese Aussicht muss man allerdings mit einem recht steilen Fußweg in Kauf nehmen, nichts für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung. Aber der kleine Marsch lohnt sich absolut! Zum Old Basar Viertel geht man etwa 5-10 Minuten durch hübsche verwinkelte Gassen. Wir hatten 2 Zimmer, von dem eines recht einfach war (Doppelbett plus ein Einzelbett auf einer Minigalerie). Bei dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war dies aber absolut ok, alles ist mit der Beschreibung und Fotos klar dargestellt. Aus unserer Sicht klare Empfehlung!

From the terrace, there are incredible views over the town and of the castle .The owner Maria is delightful and kind and we communicated efficiently with Google translate. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The walk up the hill is well worth the view! The castle is a fabulous place to visit.

• sophie (10/5): La plus belle vue de Girokaster - La gentillesse de nos hôtes, la vue de la terrasse est impressionnante (on ne peut pas s'en lasser), on est à 10 minutes des sites d'interets, le petit déjeuner est copieux, il y a un parking pour se garer Compte tenu de sa localisation en hauteur, il faut passer par des routes pentues et étroites où il est compliqué de se croiser. Le jeu en vaut toutefois la chandelle.

• Tamara (8/5): Der Ausblick ist das Highlight der Unterkunft - Die Aussicht von der großen Terrasse ist der hammer, die Gastgeberin auch super nett (kann aber kein Englisch, aber mit Hilfe von Übersetzer App klappt alles wunderbar). Die Zimmer sind Standard, man hat alles, was man für eine Nacht braucht (Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank) aber auch nicht viel mehr. Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist etwas abenteuerlich, man bekommt aber von der Gastgeberin eine Anleitung, wie man dort hin findet. Trotzdem nichts für "unsichere Autofahrer" in den engen, steilen Gassen.
• Frida (10/5): - Clean rooms and a very nice balcony with a stunning view over Gjirokastër. A charming villa and Maria is super sweet, she makes the experience feel like home. Accesible by car if you follow the map uploaded by the hotel, and we were very happy with the parking spot at the hotel instead of parking in the narrow streets. A bit of a climb uphill but it only takes 10 minutes to reach the heart of the center and the Old Bazaar. Highly recommend.

There was a kitchen that could be used by guests with tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and kettle. The host could not speak much English but we managed as she used the translator on her phone. The breakfast was very good which was served on the terrace. We chose the deluxe room with the private bathroom just outside the door. This was ok apart from when the flush didn't work. The solution, unbeknown to us was to use the shower head and point it down the toilet.

Breakfast was served on the terrace with a beautiful view of the town and the castle. Keep in mind the road to get there is steep but that is Gjirokaster! Drive carefully and follow the directions given by the owner as google map is'nt reliable over there.

The bathroom didn’t have a proper shower cabin, so showering felt a bit different, but it actually added to the whole experience in a quirky way. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, with a few local touches. Maria, the host, was incredibly kind and made me feel at home. I’d definitely stay here again.

The owner lady Maria was the best ever person. At least for her, it's worth staying, a kind and wonderful lady. Great host with great breakfast. Loved it!

Apesar de nao saber ingles, ela se desempenha para deixar as pessoas, o mais confortável possível, eu amei a minha estadia lá e poderia ficar bem mais. Bom, foi um pouco complicado chegar com gps, precisamos de ajuda dos locais. mas isso nao atrapalhou em nada.

Da qui si può ammirare tutta la città, il castello e godersi sia un fantastico panorama durante la notte che l'alba alla mattina durante la colazione, abbondante e con a disposizione tutto il necessario. La camera era molto accogliente e abbiamo trovato tutto quello che ci serviva. Il posto è un pochino difficile da raggiungere ma poco prima del nostro arrivo abbiamo ricevuto le indicazioni super dettagliate e senza fatica abbiamo raggiunto questo paradiso. Ci ritornerei immediatamente!

• Markus (5/5): Nicht noch einmal! - Die Aussicht ist sehr gut. Die Terrasse liegt schön. Das Frühstück war gut. Recht schwierig zu finden weil Google Maps nicht die Straßen zeigt, die man auch fahren kann. Den Screenshot den wir bin der Unterkunft erhalten haben war nicht gut gemacht. Der Weg hoch ist etwas länger und steil. Es gibt dort Mücken die ganz fies beißen!! Nachts war in einer Nacht durchgehend sehr lautes Hundegebell vom Nachbarhund. Schlaf kaum möglich Wir haben nicht die Zimmer erhalten die wir gebucht haben! Die Besitzerin hat uns andere Zimmer angeboten. Ein 2 Bett statt 3 Bett Zimmer. Das andere war ein 3 Bett Zimmer aber sehr klein und die sehr kleine Toilette mit Dusche (!) außerhalb des Zimmers! Und beide Zimmer hinten im Haus im unteren Stock am Berg ohne Aussicht. Dunkel und feucht. Dazu waren noch zwei weitere Doppelzimmer im gleichen Wohnraum (und das bei außerhalb des Zimmers liegender Toilette!!); Diese waren jedoch frei, weil wir die einzigen Gäste waren. (Warum nur? - Dafür war der Zugang zur Terrasse besser erreichbar.) Gebucht hatten wir 2 3 Bett Zimmer mit Aussicht auf die Stadt im oberen Stock. - Wir hatten das Angebot von ihr angenommen, weil sie uns gesagt hat, dass die Zimmer nur 40 € + 60 € kosten sollen. Am Ende wollte sie aber trotzdem die gebuchten 80 € + 100 €!! Ein Sprachproblem schließe ich aus, weil sie mit dem Google Übersetzer arbeitet und uns dort die Zahlen 40 €+ 60 € gezeigt hat. Sie hat uns damit am Ende die gebuchte und richtige Leistung vorenthalten! Diese Zimmer waren das Geld nicht Wert.Wir haben trotzdem bezahlt, weil wir uns von so was nicht den Urlaub kaputt machen lassen wollen. Letztlich ist es nur Geld und zu viel schlechte Laune nicht Wert. Dennoch an die Plattform Booking.com: Das geht so nicht und vielleicht sind wir nicht die ersten und einzigen denen das passiert ist. (Oder es muss halt deutlich klarer kommuniziert werden.) Hier bitte ich darum, dafür zu sorgen dass das nicht mehr vorkommen kann. Eigentlich stünde und sogar eine ne Erstattung zu und auch das bitte ich zu prüfen.

• Sea2Sea (10/5): Warm and welcoming with a magnificent view - I feel so lucky to have stayed at Panoramic Vlachos, the perfect spot for exploring Gjirokaster fortress. I booked online just a short time before I arrived, and Maria was so gracious when I just sort of appeared, hot and a bit tired. Her hosting style is is very warm and positive but never intrusive. This is a beautiful guesthouse, immaculate and high quality. My room was one of 4 that opens to a lounge and kitchen. There's a huge patio with magnificent views of the castle--lovely in the daytime but even more so at night. I encourage you to choose this place! Nothing. But bring good walking shoes--Gjirokaster is steep!
• Ruzi (10/5): Magische uitzicht - Fantastisch uitzicht, zeer lekker ontbijt, Maria en Spiro hartelijke mensen, zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Een fantastische tuin met allerlei bloemen en fruitbomen. Een koffie drinken op hun terras met een open zicht op Gjirokastra was een onvergetelijke ervaring. Dikke merci 👏👏👏 aan de eigenaren om deze ervaring te mogen beleven Pamje fantastike , unieke qe rralle e gjen ne ndonje 🏨 . • Heike (10/5): - Die Lage war sensationell. Der Blick auf die zu Füßen liegende Stadt und Festung sind genial. Wir genossen sehr diese Aussicht. Auch die Gastgeber - vor allem Maria - waren super nett. Das Früstück war traditionell, wir nahmen es auf der Terrasse ein, mit diesem super Ausblick.
• Suzanne (9/5): Panorama is right for this lovely terrace. - The terrace and its view over the town and castle are fantastic. Our room opened on to the terrace so was also great. It was very clean and the large bed was comfortable. Maria was friendly and communicated with us through translation and smiles. It's not their problem because the host provided a warning about a road closure, but we still got into trouble on the incredibly steep and narrow roads. So be prepared and study the map beforehand. • Soloman (8/5): - Stunning views from the apartment and a truly lovely host Maria. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back. The apartment is high up the hill which was definitely a climb, but it's doable and shouldn't put you off booking. We weren't aware that the kitchen facilities were shared and only used for breakfast.
• Mirna (7/5): Bel panorama su Argirocastro - La cordialità di Maria, che gestisce la struttura. Il panorama mozzafiato dal terrazzo. La mattina abbiamo fatto colazione, sul terrazzo della struttura. Si vede tutta Argirocastro dall'alto, veramente bello. La strada per arrivare su è difficile da trovare e le strade sono strette. Al primo tentativo ci siamo sbagliati, nonostante fosse arrivata una mail dalla struttura con una mappa, non facile da comprendere. Pensandoci, per migliorare questo problema i gestori potrebbero farsi trovare nella vicina piazzetta del cinema ed accompagnare i clienti che arrivano. La nostra stanza aveva una finestra ed una porta esterna che si affacciavano sul muro della casa vicina.
• Alicja (10/5): - Pomimo niełatwego dojazdu (strome wąskie uliczki), gdy docierasz na miejsce wiesz, że trud był tego wart: - Przemiła właścicielka, która wkłada mnóstwo serca w to miejsce i podchodzi do gości jak do rodziny ❤️ - Pyszne śniadanie, którym można delektować się przy pięknych widokach z tarasu na panoramę miasta i zamek (oraz w towarzystwie małych kotków ❤️) - Przestronny pokój ze smart tv i szybkim wifi (z bezpośrednim wyjściem na taras) - Kilka minut pieszo do znanych uliczek z restauracjami i sklepami Zdecydowanie warto! -
• Tomasz (9/5): - Śniadanko niezbyt wystawne, ale wystarczające. Mili i pomocni gospodarze. No i niesamowite położenie obiektu. Trudność z dotarciem na właściwy adres. Sami tubylcy mieli kłopot ze wskazaniem miejsca.
• Rupert (8/5): - Wunderbare Gastgeber, sensationelle Aussicht. Kehrseite der tollen Lage ist ein relativ langer Ab- bzw. Aufstieg zum belebten Altstadtzentrum.
• Klaudia (8/5): - Powitała nas bardzo sympatyczna gospodyni Maria. Pokój był czysty z wygodnym łóżkiem ale łazienka była bardzo mała. Piękny widok rozpościerający się z tarasu i bardzo blisko do miasta były największymi zaletami tego noclegu. Ciężko tam trafić autem bo Google Maps nie działa. Gospodarze wysyłają mapkę jak dostać się do hotelu. Dostaliśmy pokój z widokiem na góry, który znajdował się na parterze i wychodził na taras, na którym przesiadywali inni goście więc jest mało prywatności. Śniadanie było kiepskie, bardzo słodkie i mały wybór produktów.

• Lukas (9/5): - Maria is just one of the best, friendliest, heartwarming hosts I have ever met. The location of the guest house is perfect for everything there is to see and do in Gjirokastra. Maria is so helpful with everything and she welcomed us like family members coming home from a long journey. Thank you so much!
• Ruben (7/5): Prachtige locatie, maar klein. - De locatie is geweldig. Een prachtig uitzicht over de stad en het kasteel. De host is super vriendelijk en maakt het graag naar je zin. Het ontbijt was heerlijk. Erg prettig om buiten een heerlijk terras te hebben met uitzicht op de stad, maar ook een binnenruimte voorzien van alle benodigdheden. We hadden een deluxe kamer. Maar hier was niets van te merken. Het was een erg klein 2 persoonsbed met op een verhoging nog een 1 persoonsbed, hier kon ik (1,70m) net staan. De badkamer is te bereiken via de woonkamer. Ook deze heel erg klein. Je staat tegenover/boven het toilet te douchen. Alles wordt nat. De ruimte is ongeveer 1m bij 1,5m

Les rues sont très très pentues

• Mariana Feldman (10/5): - Proprietária extremamente gentil, comida muito gostosa, localização ótima, da para ir a pé aos pontos importantes, vista linda, quartos limpos e confortáveis. Difícil de chegar lá, google maps não funciona. A proprietária enviou fotos com o caminho que foram um pouco difíceis, mas essenciais para chegar lá! Muito difícil dirigir em Gjirokaster. Banheiro externo ao quarto e bem pequeno, alagava ao tomar banho.
• Julia (10/5): - Maria ist eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es gibt dort gefiltertes Wasser und man hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick über die Altstadt. Man sollte keine Angst vor Berganfahren und engen Gassen haben ;)
• Mayra (9/5): Super mooi uitzicht en heel vriendelijk ontvangst nemen - Prachtige locatie, heel mooi uitzicht over Gjirokaster. Super vriendelijke gastvrouw en -heer, meedenkend bij vragen. Ontbijt was heel goed geregeld en het bed lag heerlijk! Kleine douchecabine i.v.m. hoekmuur in de cabine. Locatie is lastig te vinden via Google maps.
• aman (7/5): - Un endroit exceptionnel avec une vue sur une ville exceptionnelle. Un couple de propriétaires qui essait de faire de son mieux. L'annonce Booking ne correspond pas à la réalité. La chambre n'avait pas de balcon et offrait encore moins une vue... et nous étions seuls, nous la changer pour une autre aurait été bienvenu... Le petit dejeuner est aussi quelconque comparé à ceux pris dans d'autres Guesthouses demandant bien moins cher...

• Laura (10/5): Lovely host, amazing views - Maria welcomed us like we were family, and she had even put a candle, petals and two glasses of wine in our room to help celebrate our honeymoon. The views from the terrace were amazing, you can see all of the old town and there are great views of the fortress too. We really enjoyed spending our evening here with a beer and the amazing views. Despite the property being so high up, it is only a short walk to the main streets in old town (perhaps only a 5 min walk). Thank you so much Maria!
