I even forgot something when I leave, before she was kind to coordinate with me for the parcel to be transported to me safely. I enjoyed the breakfast too.

Queried after 2pm on when it will be done,to be told the cleaning stops at 2pm.Just uncomfortable.When it has so much potential.

I was under the impression I had booked another room with the bathtub. When I told them that I didnt book this room, they expected me to pay more money for the room I thought I already paid for. I had to pay cash for the extra AND the card machine was conveniently not working. Was this extra money I had to pay a scam? I couldnt speak to the owner about it either nor was it possible to verify on booking.com. Either the info on booking.com is incorrect or I was incorrectly moved to a different room. Either which way, I am not happy I had to pay in.

Reception & Room Allocation Upon arrival, the receiving personnel allocated me an incorrect room, which was also reserved for another guest. If I had not noticed this error, the situation would have only been discovered when the other guest checked in. This reflects a lack of attention to detail in managing bookings. Room Facility vs Reality The room subsequently allocated did not match the description provided on Booking.com. It lacked the promised view, slippers, and bathrobes, hair dryer which were clearly advertised. Upgrade Experience I had to upgrade to another room with a view, but even then, basic housekeeping standards were not met. The bins had not been emptied from the previous guest, there was no toilet paper, no milk in the fridge, and no welcome water provided. These oversights are unacceptable for guest comfort. Breakfast Quality On the day of checkout, I ordered cappuccino and beef sausages for myself and my partner. Unfortunately, the milk used was spoiled, forming lumps on top of the cappuccino, and both sausages were burnt at the tips and extremely hard. This raises serious concerns about food handling and preparation standards. Recommendations for Improvement Staff training in food handling and preparation. Proper room preparation and cleaning protocols before guest arrival. Improved accuracy in managing and reading bookings to avoid allocation errors. I trust you will take these concerns seriously and implement the necessary improvements to ensure future guests have a better experience because your establishment is great and has potential to attract more guests.

The rooms are rustic but needs a lot of elevation so that you can enjoy the space.The house needs a revamp not major just to elevate the rustic feel.The bathroom amenities should be provided and be available on demand .

- Katey (5/5): - The venue was close to where we needed to go I didn't like the fact that when I booked my room, Booking.com automatically allocated us two rooms and charged us accordingly. When we arrived, the one room (family room) was big enough for us, and when trying to cancel the other room through booking.com, I would have forfeited all that I paid. Additionally, trying to contact the owner to resolve this issue has been rather challenging. It's been a week, and I'm still waiting for a response. Furthermore, the breakfast is quite expensive at R150 per person. We were there with three small children who only wanted cereal.

Very unhappy.as iam from far I could have just booked near - I like the place it's very quite abd peaceful but the treatment that we git fron reception and Sammy was very rude. They made us feel like beggars. The tv was not working in the room allocate to us. Sammy said he will sort it out the next day which was the day we have check out. We standing at reception @19h00 with no room allocated to us.This behavior is unacceptable. The TV was not working as we ask for help The manager he refused to assist and said he is in meeting at night. As I asked them to check it when we checked in at 14,:00.What was we supposed to do the whole evening .

- Nitash (8/5): Good location and staff. - Gallo Manor is a beautiful B&B located in Sandon area of Joburg. The place is in a gated community so we felt very safe. Angie, who works there is absolutely incredible - super helpful and friendly and available for questions and help while we were there. We stayed in 2 of the rooms. The first one on the ground floor had a beautiful walk out patio and the garden is stunning. The second was a triple room upstairs but could have fit four people as it had a queen bed and 2 single beds. This room was a little dated and two of the single beds were tucked into a nook between two walls with no space to walk, which made them a little claustrophobic. The bathroom in this room was also dated, and the shower had lower pressure. Everything was good except the shower in the triple room upstairs. There are also no elevators in the B&B but staff will help you get your bags upstairs.

- Dennis (5/5): Entspricht nicht den angegebenen fünf Sternen, ist aber von der Preisleistung in Ordnung - Liegt in einer sicheren Umgebung und ist zum übernachten ausreichend. Wenn man den Preis sieht pro Nacht und pro Person, dann ist es gerecht, was man bekommt. Das Haus ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen, und alles entspricht sicherlich keinen fünf Sternen wie angegeben, maximal drei Sterne. Bäder sind uralt und Fliesen kaputt. Teppichböden, Schränke. alles sehr sehr alt. Frühstück ist sehr sehr einfach gehalten und es gibt keine Wurst oder Käse. Am Pool stehen schräge Schrauben aus dem Boden.

I woke up a lil later than I should have on my 2nd morning and I was grateful that the staff could still accommodate me. The staff (Linda and Kudzi) is really responsive and helpful at all times which goes a really long way. My room opened up to a rooftop terrace which I really really loved. The birds chirping and water flowing in ponds while catching some sun made for perfect mornings. They also offer extensions by the hour at quite affordable rates which is great on check out days when you're having a really lazy morning. location felt safe which I appreciated I had to wait of a bit long before being checked in as I was told that the keys to the room were not on location and had to be delivered by someone else. This was a bit of an inconvenience as I had to alter my plans. The handheld shower in my bathroom sprayed water on connection points which left the floors wet which I really did not like. Tiles on the bathroom floors could use a a bit of a revamp as well. The most uncomfortable part for me was how the tv and its stand shakes as if it would fall everytime I walked past it. This may be due to the floors being wooden but that felt like a disaster waiting to happen which I was not keen on paying for.

- Karen (4/5): Faded grandeur - Centrally located. My recent stay at Gallo Manor, specifically in what I believe was the African Room, conveyed a distinct impression of faded grandeur. It is apparent that this establishment once possessed a more distinguished character, which has unfortunately diminished over time. Upon arrival, several aspects of the accommodation indicated a need for significant attention. The bedding in the room exhibited noticeable holes, suggesting a state of considerable wear. Similarly, the bath towels presented frayed edges, indicative of prolonged use beyond their optimal lifespan. Within the shower, a tile was cracked and observed to be detaching from the wall, a clear maintenance concern. Furthermore, the carpet in the room was visibly soiled, detracting from the overall cleanliness and presentation of the guesthouse. The door to the garden and one of the cupboards were just haphazardly closed with a chain and padlock - not something you would expect to see in a well maintained establishment. The breakfast service proved to be a disappointment. Specifically, the omelette provided contained a substantial quantity of peppers, an ingredient that was not offered as an optional addition, leading to an unsatisfactory culinary experience. The overall quality and selection of the breakfast offerings were below expected standards. In conclusion, I would not recommend this establishment given its current state. It is in urgent need of comprehensive maintenance and revitalization to ensure its continued viability and to meet contemporary guest expectations.

Our room was perfect, spacious, warm and we loved everything about the place. The staff welcomed us with warmth, we were assisted my Mellisa who made our stay so peaceful.
