• Isaac Simons (10/5): ¡Una experiencia inolvidable! - La atención de doña Diana, su hijo y su hermano fue excelente. Nos hicieron sentir en casa, muy atentos en todo momento a nuestras necesidades. El desayuno y el almuerzo son deliciosos. Las instalaciones son muy cómodas, con baño privado, todo muy limpio y ordenado. Bien ventiladas. Había suficiente agua, y llega buena señal telefónica (Movistar y Tigo) y además me ofrecieron otros paseos a un precio insuperable. Nos llevaron al plancton iridiscente y fue una experiencia unica. Si quieres pasar unos días desconectado y disfrutar de verdadera tranquilidad, sin duda este es el mejor alojamiento. Es importante tener presente que en la zona no hay electricidad, en estás cabañas tienen planta eléctrica la cual encienden un tiempo en la noche para cargar celulares. Sin embargo, esto no fue limitante para disfrutar de unos buenos días de relax. La playa es hermosa con aguas cristalinas y arena blanca. Sin duda volveremos a alojarnos con ustedes y los recomendaremos. Que no haya electricidad, pero esto no es culpa del alojamiento.

• Luke (8/5): - Perfect location, right on the quieter part of the beach. Property has a store and restaurant which were both great and reasonably priced, hosts were fantastic (even with our very lacking Spanish skills) always made sure we were comfortable and happy. As is with all of Baru there is only limited electricity (6pm-11pm) so make sure you’re fully charged before you arrive and be prepared for a warm nights sleep

• Amanda Hvidberg (10/5): - Isla Baru and the beach is a primitive place - but if you are prepared for this, this place is a lovely little gem between all the very touristic places on the beach. Lovely view from the terrace, nice lunch and the owner was very, very kind to us - offering advice on general prices on the beach and arranging transfer by boat to Cartagena. Would definitely book again

La cabaña cómoda, limpia y bien cuidada. La atención de Stiven fue increíble, siempre amable, servicial y pendiente de todo lo que necesitaba ¡me hizo sentir como en casa! • Heather (1/5): Don't go here - Meeting a new friend from Brazil, the view, and the woman w I didn't feel safe. There was no lock for the door to my room. The owner was manipulative, dishonest and overcharged me for everything. The place was difficult to get to and when I arrived at the place to meet him, even my cab driver said he didn't feel ok leaving me there and that he didn't trust anyone. The web description is a lie. The ventilation was a fan, run only by a generator that smelled strongly of gas so the whole room was like a garage. The electricity is only on for a few hours in the evening. When I said I wanted to leave the owner said he would charge $100 USD for the boat, then decided $80... I booked the water taxi for 20 cop for both me and the other woman there who didn't feel safe either. Then once I left and asked for a refund for only 2 nights, he began accusing me of burning sheets and a mattress for smoking marijuana, which didn't happen (I have a vape of nicotine, nothing else). He then said he would charge me for helping carry my bags the day before. Over 100,000 cop. He was rude, machismo, and blaming, desperate for money in the way of a vulture. The neighboring places had many people, enjoying the beach his place had none. More than likely the negative energy and ugly vibes. He charged me different amounts for what I wanted to buy than the other guest. When I asked to exchange money his rate was way higher than what the normal exchange rate is, even in Cartagena. Then he wanted to get it all by charging more than normal for a simple lunch. While the breakfast was made with care, it was not at all what the web description said. Totally misleading. I have traveled extensively, lived in many places with many cultures around the world and I have never been treated so poorly with less than zero respect. He said I expected a 5 star hotel which is also not the case, I wanted a safe clean environment, which was not provided.

Não tem luz durante o dia, as portas não tem chave, e a todo momento você precisa conferir na calculadora se estão cobrando corretamente, eles querem cobrar porcentagem e valores diferentes a todo momento. Da comida ou da diária do hostel. Infelizmente não é possível confiar.

• Enda (9/5): A great choice. - Very relaxed place with good food and drinks which are reasonably priced. All the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Playa Blanca isn't a party spot, it's for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful beach and the location of Vista Linda is perfect for that. It is on the quieter side of the beach so it is less crowded and there are not many vendors there.
• Bronagh (10/5): 10/10! - We had an amazing stay at Vista Linda. We originally booked for only one night as we didn't know how we'd handle the lack of air conditioning but there is good ventilation in the cabana. We stayed for an extra night and would have stayed longer if our itinerary had allowed for it! Manuel is so kind and friendly, he was a great help in organising transport to Barú and the mangrove and plankton tours, or even just chatting and having a drink with us. Roxana is amazing, whipping up delicious food in the kitchen and keeping the place spotless. Food portions are huge and very prices for both food and drink are very reasonable. The cabana is in a good location, away from the busiest section of the beach, although be aware there are still some boats where you enter the water. We have no complaints whatsoever, everything is as described. If you are accepting of the basic facilities on offer on Barú in general you'll not have any troubles here. I doubt you'd get a better, more relaxing atmosphere for a similar price.

• Corinne (10/5): Great Beach Escape - Great location, especially in the afternoon and morning when there are less people. Food was very good. Manuel and Roxanna were very helpful with coordinating transport. Definitely a better idea to book here 1-2 nights instead of doing a tour.

Attention was fantastic, Rosana, Manuel and Sore were very kind, very helpful, efficient and friendly, always made us feel as we were  in home. We loved the breakfast which was included. Highly recommendable place.

• Anthony (10/5): Felt VIP, fed well, great prices - The location is in playa tranquila, we taxi'd (use indriver or have the host help you with a taxi) from Manga in Cartagena for 71k COP (~1 hr drive). We walked from the parking lot along the beach for 20 mins to the Cabana where Manuel, the host, let us into our room hours early and prepared chairs and umbrellas for us. We were the only ones staying in one of the two rooms upstairs and it was great having hammocks and lounge chairs, amazing views and all to ourselves. I recommend swimming in the morning with a snorkel mask (he lent us some) before a lot of the fish hide from the boats! The food was delicious (you must try the coconut rice), in large quanities and affordable. He also helps arrange tours like an evening bioluminescent plankton tour (takes about 1 hr and was ~35k cop per person) and an afternoon snorkeling 4 islands tour (90k per person). He also arranged a boat to take us straight from his place to Cartagena at the end of our stay (40k per person). We had an amazing time there and would definitely go back! There were a lot of boats and jet skis in/out in the water where we were swimming or snorkelling which made it uncomfortable to be inside the water longer.

• Sandra (8/5): Nice place to chill and just enjoy life - Location was good, bit of a walk down the beach in heat if you have luggage but worth it as you are away from the harassment of beach sellers. Lovely place to just chill out for a couple of days and do nothing. Very good breakfast and dinner. If you're like me and need toilet at night have to go downstairs.

• Oisin (10/5): Rustic beachside hut at popular beach, run by a friendly and competent couple - Perfect location on playa tranquila, the quieter side of playa blanca. Keep in mind that this is a popular day-use beach with no electrical connection or water mains. Electricity is provided by a generator when needed- this is RUSTIC, like going to cabin. That being said, Vista Linda was perfect. Friendly hosts, delicious breakfast and meal options, beautiful view of the Caribbean sea, and peaceful nights. Rosana and Manuel are fantastic hosts, who helped provide tours and excursions at fair prices and with charming locals. If you're looking for a rustic getaway on this popular beach, this cabana is a fantastic option. Nothing
• Pete (10/5): great location, friendly staff - Great little inn located on Playa Blanca. The amenities are basic, but well worth the price. friendly hosts and great views! getting to and from the property was a bit challenging, but the hosts made it as seamless as possible. we arrived by taxi from Cartagena and the drop off location is at the far end of Playa Blanca. Here I experienced some of the most aggressive vendors and hawkers trying to carry your bags for you. Vista Linda owner made it very clear not to use any of them and he came to pick us up. a short boat ride later, we were at the hotel.
• Verena (9/5): Rustic Cabaña right at the beach with amazing food and drinks - We had an amazing experience in this little Hostal. It’s right at the beach and everything is there, really great food (especially the fresh fish) and tasty cocktails. Manuel and everybody else are super caring and attentive. We took the plankton tour one evening which was also a really great experience. Nothing just you have to know that it’s a basic/simple accommodation without electricity except when the generator is running in the evening but that just added to the experience in our opinion.

• George (10/5): An Amazing Stay In Playa Blanca - We absolutely loved our stay at Vista Linda. The location couldn’t be better- situated on the quieter end of the beach. The room was of a good size and we found the bed to be very comfy. The hosts were frequently cleaning all areas of the property. The cleanliness is exceptional. The balcony area provides a great spot for meals- especially breakfast with a coffee overlooking the sea. We eat exclusively at Vista Linda and didn’t see a reason to not do so- the food was excellent and the portions massive! I also think given the portion sizes and the quality of the food the menu is priced well. Finally the hosts are very friendly and very welcoming. We would love to return!
• Nicole (10/5): Lovely cabanas, great food, exceptional hosts right on the beach - As beach-front as you can get! Awesome lounging chairs right at the edge of the water, or more options on their second level if you want to get away from the vendors walking along the beach. It was on a quieter part of the beach, which is what I wanted. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful, couldn’t have asked for anything more. There are only 2 cabañas, so they are always available to help if needed. Delicious food, and loved the included breakfast. Do the bioluminescence tour… it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen!

• Tiril (10/5): 100% recommend - Had the best stay here for two nights! All the staff were so welcoming and friendly, breakfast was lovely and the dinner portions were huge, so great value for money. The place was always clean as they were wiping the floors and cleaning all day. Amazing view from the balcony, especially during sunset. They also provide nice sunbeds on the beach and they look after your stuff while you're out swimming. The beach is stunning and the property lays in a more quiet part of the beach, however still lots of vendors passing by. It makes all the difference to your visit to stay the night rather than just go on a day trip. Loved the hammocks on the balcony. The room was basic, but comfortable and really nice to have the mosquito net. The temperature during the night was better than expected, actually quite cool even without fans. Wish there would be free filtered water as the water bottles are quite expensive (8000p for 1L, which is the biggest they have). Not sure if there actually was wifi, but I had great reception with my Claro data. If you're really senstive to smells and sounds, you might find the smell of gas and the noise from the generator annoying, but it didn't really bother me.
• Brendan (4/5): Disappointing - The fish was very good. So, this place is in a beautiful spot right on the water, there is a lovely balcony from which you can eat breakfast read and relax, right above the water. However, there are two rooms( well one with a partition in the middle and a shared ceiling ) and the side we stayed in was right above an area filled with petrol cannisters. The hotel doubles as a gas station for the many boats cruising the shore. This creates a very strong smell of gas that filled our room to the point of waking us up. We had planned on three nights but only stayed one. It could also have been a cultural thing. When we explained why we were moving, the owner responded to our concerns with 'that's the beach'. So, it could be that the expectation not to breathe in gas fumes was my bad, in all seriousness. I believe the owner stays on sight right next to the canisters so must be fine with it. On the other hand , if you can handle the smell, or you are in the bed closest to the beach, its a great deal.
• Dan (10/5): Clean, affordable, great food - There are only two rooms above the store, restaurant and bar. The staff keep the entire place incredibly clean by constantly sweeping sand, water and any litter. It seems they have a policy to clean the bathroom toilet and two showers every time after someone uses it. The food is surprisingly excellent. A hearty breakfast was included and the menu for lunch and dinner are large portions and tasty. The staff are very friendly. They securely stored our luggage after we checked out so we could enjoy the water. The terrace overlooks the ocean. The bed is comfortable with a mosquito net too. Like many places along the beach, the electricity is only from 6-10pm in the evening. It can be loud but just enjoy evening on the chairs right on the beach and go to bed after 10pm. It’s fine but just know electricity is limited.

• Platenberga (9/5): Superb - Very good place for relaxing and chilling. Very good vibe. Great location, not so crowded. Clean. Recommend to stay minimum 2 nights. You can enjoy beach in evening and morning when there is not so many tourists. Great sunset and most perfect view to the calm sea, when you drink your morning coffee. Breakfast also very good, which are included in the price. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would come again for sure.
• Petra (9/5): Great hostel on the beach with airy room. - It has only 2 rooms, so quiet. You can order lunch and dinner; get big portions. And breakfast is included. Nothing. Maybe the lots of stones (parts of dead corral) in the sea; recommend water shoes!
• Erika (10/5): feel like a home - We had a very good time here. The couple's warm hospitality, kindness, delicious food, clean environment, everything is perfect. It is very luxurious to sleep while listening to the sound of the waves. It's about a 20 minute walk from the parking lot. If you have a lot of luggage, please use the porter service and ship. (Only 5 minutes on the boat.) If you are unsure, please consult the owner. There is a pick-up service. The location of the accommodation is not on the main beach, Not crowded. There are also only two rooms. You can spend your time slowly. I think water is very precious here. Not much water in the shower. But I think this is a local problem. To enjoy nature, we need to understand it. If you want perfect convenience, go to another area. Manuel always took care of us. It's just the right distance. Perfect I think. I get what I want when I want it. I was surprised. I appreciate it very much. I really wanted to extend my stay. I would love to stay here again. Thank you Manuel and Roxanne. I felt warm and happy. nothing.
• Noam (8/5): Very good - Perfect location, right on the beach, In a bit quieter area. The staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was good. Clean. There is electricity only for a few hours, in the night it got very hot. The bathroom is not near the room, you need to go a floor down if you want to use it.
