• Neringa (7/5): Good but could be better - Very nice staff. It was easy to communicate at the office, as well on WhatsApp. A pleasant distance was maintained, but attention and care were enough. The room was cleaned daily, very clean (even too much! E.g. they changed the toilet paper and towels daily). It's great to have an opportunity to cook, spend time on the terrace with a view of Pucara de Quitor. The room is not too hot. Strong wifi. The quality of the rooms could be improved. Kitchen is small, you had to squeeze in with other people, there were not enough utensils (e.g. pans). The sink was somewhere else, outside, so other residents wasted a lot of drinking water. The bed was not comfortable, because it has wheels and it is impossible to sit - you slip. Our shower door did not close because it was swollen from moisture, the toilet tank leaked water, so we constantly turned off the water.

• Katarzyna (10/5): Best Stay at Atacama - My best stay during my trip to South America. If you are looking for cheap, safe, clean and quiet accommodation for a family or a couple, this is the best place in San Pedro! Staff wonderful, helpful in every way. The cleaning lady (every day!) did an excellent job, I admire it. the amenities are OK. it's warm, cozy, comfortable, you can cook dinner and do laundry.

The kitchen was small but had everything we needed and there was a lovely upstairs open air sitting area with great sunset views. Service was great, very responsive, and we were able to order a taxi to the centre with ease as the manager did it for us. Room was great, super clean, comfortable mattress and with hot water. Lovely kitchen area - again, really clean. Wi-Fi good. Thank you! The hostel is a 15 minute-ish walk from the plaza, which we were able to walk with our bags on the way there as it’s flat all the way. Maybe if you need a taxi the manager might be able to organise it for you via messages - as it was hard to get a taxi in Atacama from the centre.
• Marta (8/5): Very good - Nice kitchen facilities and terrace. The bathroom is compact but the shower was nice and warm. They also offer a laundry service which is really reasonably priced. Our clothes were cleaned and dried really well - which was very much appreciated after three days in the Bolivian salt flats. In the context of Chile, the price of the room is fairly normal, but if you’re coming from elsewhere in South America - you’ll feel ripped off. It’s way overpriced for how basic the facilities are. We didn’t find the staff particularly helpful either - asked them if they could book a taxi to the town centre because we had our heavy luggage and they refused saying it was only a 10min walk so we didn’t need a taxi 🤣!

The common area is in the center of the building with all the bedrooms surrounding it, so it can be noisy at times. No shelves/cabinets to put away your stuff in the bedrooms.

Unfortunately the walls were so thin, it was extremely loud at night with people talking right outside our door and window and dogs barking all night. Even with earplugs it was very loud.

• Oana (9/5): Superb - It's a nice little place with a kitchen and terrace a bit further from the center, but an easy walk to anything important. I would have given it a 10, had it not been for the laundry situation. We asked if we could do laundry and the owner/manager said he'd "tell the girl". She told us it's 5000pesos and that she'd do it, since the washing machine was already occupied. We though it was a bummer it's no longer for free like previous reviews suggest, but at least we don't have to worry about it and we left. When we got back later, at one point we realised our laundry isn't hanging up to dry anywhere and that there isn't any space for it anyway. We checked the laundry mashine and our stuff was still in there dripping wet. So we whatsapped the owner/manager, who reacted immediately, put our laundry on a spin cycle, hung up some more wire for our clothes and we could then finally hang up our laundry ourselves. I don't think the girl used any detergent, because our clothes didn't smell clean and they still had dirt on them. I don't mind paying for a service, if I actually get that service. But this wasn't the case.
