An excellent base for a visit to Florence also an excellent base for train trips to other Tuscan cities Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Bologna and even Rome. Steps up were fine for us but could be an issue for some. Nothing
Sara (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Large comfortable bed and bedroom, clean, safe and quiet central location. Friendly and helpful host despite the language barrier (I need to work on my Italian!). Close to the Duomo and good local bars and eateries (Il Giova is excellent to dine). Good facilities generally but wine glasses would have been a plus. There are 3 number 42s on the street so clearer instructions about this and where the nearest street rubbish bins are (opposite Conad supermarket) would have been helpful. 4 sets of stairs to climb so you need to be fit!
