- Bradley (9/5): Great place to stay but it does need to be sunny so you can utilise the outside space - The location and the terrace on the Grand Canal were fantastic The inside could do with a little TLC to spruce it up a bit
- Shaun (10/5): -
- Jayne (8/5): - The location was lovely and the bed comfortable. There was a musty smell the whole time
- francesca (4/5): So disappointed on the accommodation that we left early - Breakfast was good The bed was so uncomfortable and small that my back started hurting and we had to leave one day early, and i do not have back problems so that was not the issue. The room was too small, and the entire room including the bathroom needed to be updated, the bedspread felt dirty, and also the drapes, the room was so noisy due to the canal so i did not sleep for 2 nights. The shutters and window just did not keep out the noise. So
- Vecsera (7/5): Szép régi épület régi berendezésekkel amire ráférne mehgfelelő törődés. - A környezet szép volt. Sajnos volt több felmerülő peobléma a fűtéssel, melegvízzel, ajtózárral, villamos hálózattal.
- Isabelle (8/5): - La petite terrasse collective au bord du Grand canal.
Le quartier calme a proximité des restaurants et des sites touristiques.
- Jose (9/5): Great place for Venice lovers and lovers in general. - Amazing location by the Grand Canal. Room with a view.
- Hazel (8/5): Great location, fantastic host and great view from balcony. - The location, grand canal side balcony and our host who was lovely. Mosquitoes but can’t be helped. I got bitten badly.
- David (7/5): Lovely location on the Grand Canal - Location location location Bit scruffy although clean. Lots of electric wires everywhere. And shared entrance with room upstairs so not 100% secure

- Roger (8/5): All that we had hoped for. - Great location and fantastic balcony directly on the Grand Canal. We loved sitting on the deck with a glass of wine watching all the gondoliers and water taxis go by. We could have comfortably sat there all day if there was not the rest of Venice to explore. For us the location and balcony were perfect and we would definitely come again. As others have reported the apartment is a little run down and a modern hotel room should not be expected in this historic building.
- Naomi (10/5): Amazing - the accomodation was so private, felt totally safe, and 2 mins walk away from the Vapor’s to to get us whereve - Location was 10/10 - 2 mins walk to lovely local shops and restaurants - 10mins on to at marks square but the area we were in was so lovely - a nice break away from the business of other areas!
The deck was outstanding - we spent hours reading and drinking in that deck, watching the world go by! Nothing to dislike
- Marisa (8/5): Great location to watch the works go by - Location and balcony on the canal was a once in a lifetime experience and our host was lovely Furnishings in bedroom too old world/grandma . Mostly the carpet . Also smelt very stuffy . Could do with updating kitchen/coffee supplies as they felt as if they had been there for months . It would be nice to have some milk in the fridge . Be warned the balcony is not exclusive as other guests can access it . Dissapointing to come home to relax and find it occupied
- Angela (7/5): Good - Great location!!
- Tami (10/5): Very nice place to stay in Venice! - Love the location! I couldn’t stay longer
- Lisa (4/5): Had a great time. Burano was beautiful - Location on the Grand Canal with a balcony was nice. Bathroom was clean. Complementary Prosecco. Hostess was helpful. Room needs to be remodeled and updated. Balcony could use better seating accommodations.
- Richard (10/5): Live like Palazzo People for a while - This place won't be for everyone, like if you are expecting a standard-feeling 4* hotel experience, but for those who appreciate what it offers, it is stunning! Just to stay in a 16C palazzo, the entirety of which is impressive. The room has a comfortable bed and effort has been made to provide supplies in a small space. The dock on the Grand Canal (and the same view from the bedroom) provides hours of watching life and watercraft go by. The host provides a GPS location to find the palazzo, which is important because Google Maps has trouble find the address exactly. Being aware of some of the drawbacks can prepare for enjoyment of the rare experience of being waterfront on the Grand Canal. The room itself is just a bedroom and bathroom, with limited space for even suitcases: the dock and "living room" were actually shared, technically with the hosts, who live upstairs, as access to the dock/boat. They were not there at the time, so we had it to ourselves. Not sure what protocol they would use if they did need to access it. Also, contrary to the information about the accommodation, there was still a fair amount of boat traffic on the canal all night long - not the big boats, but water taxis and more, which wasn't so bad either. Finally, there were mosquitos and an occasional damp smell (there were several air fresheners in the unit).
- Van (10/5): Best view on the Grand Canal. - I loved the location and the patio on the Grand Canal was amazing.
- Jerry (3/5): Watch your wallet- good luck finding the Red button - Location was fine since it was on the canal, but was difficult to find in the dark; the system of 4 keys and many gates was annoying and the various explanations were very awkward. One of the cleaning ladies warned me that another was a pickpocket; my money belt, with USD, did disappear.
On a trivial matter, the movie selections were laughable, and the scrapbook/instructions was very poor.
- Vindhya (8/5): Very good - Loved the view from the patio and the entrance to the suite, it felt serene and a bit secluded.
The host was helpful and very easily reachable. The locking system was not easy, our room door did not lock entirely, but the door before that did. However there were 3 different sets of keys to open, each time we entered, which took too much time.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is beautiful and is tucked away in a very quiet area of Venice, but still very close to all the popular areas. It had everything we needed and more, and the view from the balcony is fab. We spent hours here just watching people in their boats going by.
- Don (8/5): Very good -
- James (8/5): Very good - The personal dock right on the Grand Canal is an amazing feature and makes for a lovely place to enjoy your morning coffee.
- Lauren (6/5): It was good but - The location was perfect. Easy to walk everywhere. Leah was super helpful and made it easy to find the place The AC unit was a window unit that I had to reenforce so hot air didn’t blow back in. It is not private the living area is shared with above rooms. We were sitting on the deck and there were people getting off a boat and covering it up.
- Inna (10/5): Appartment on Grand Cana - Karen is a wonderful host. The apartment is on the Grand Canal, the unbelievable view and seagull visits build a unic atmosphere of this suite. Nothing
- Graham (8/5): Beautiful location on the grand canal, a feel of Old Venice - Magnificent location and setting on the grand canal As Venice was so hot the air conditioning could have been better and could benefit from having a safe in the room.
- Stewart (8/5): Honeymoon Suite August 24 - The location on the canal and the outdoor seating area directly on the Grand Canal. Nothing better that we saw.
If you are after an authentic Venetian experience staying in an apartment on the water then this is for you.
Takes a bit of finding but very unique place. The host sent someone to meet us at the water bus stop so that really helped us otherwise would have taken a bit of finding. With our luggage it was cramped space wise. Would suit a weekend traveler not a 5 week trip itinerary.
Aircon died one night and it was unbearable. The host got it fixed next day.
We knew it would be a bit different so we went with the flow.
- Wendy (5/5): Passable - The balcony was dated but nice. It is not an apartment, it is an ensuite bedroom in someone's house, no idea how this is a honeymoon suite when there are notes to say upstairs can hear the bathroom fan, passion killer!!! Only lovebites were from the mosquitoes, we had bites on bites, did not sleep for 3 nights and not in a good way 😑 🤣, aircon is a big portal thing that rattled and hissed and made more noise than my husbands snoring, which tbh takes some doing. Did not meet the owner but she seemed nice via phone and txt.
- Jaap (10/5): My stay in the honeymoon suite in Venice was an unforgettable experience. - • Exceptional Service: Karen was exceptionally nice and made sure everything was taken care of. Her hospitality truly stood out.
• Prime Location: The suite’s location on the main canal is a one-in-a-million gem. We spent every morning and evening watching boats and gondolas floating by, which was absolutely fabulous.
• Comfort and Ambiance: The suite offered a comfortable and romantic ambiance, perfect for a honeymoon.
• Attention to Detail: Despite initial doubts due to the limited pictures and reviews, the property exceeded expectations with its attention to detail and overall quality.
I am quite particular when it comes to choosing accommodations and can spend days finding the right location. At first, the honeymoon suite in Venice seemed like a bit of a gamble due to the limited pictures and reviews. However, this turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made.
Karen’s exceptional hospitality made our stay incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. She ensured everything was taken care of, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time in Venice. The suite’s porch on the main canal provided an unforgettable experience. Watching boats and gondolas floating by every morning and evening was a highlight of our trip.
Although the entrance was initially difficult to find, the staff’s excellent assistance quickly resolved this issue. The two days we spent here were definitely too short, and I am already planning to return to Venice. Without a doubt, I would not consider staying anywhere else. This honeymoon suite is a true gem, offering a unique and magical experience that exceeded all my expectations. Like a hidden gem.. The entrance was a bit hidden as well. The staff helped me excellent, and waited for me to arrive and guide us to the property.
- Rafael (10/5): Exceptional. - Most fantastic location on the grand canal. The feel of the old Venice and the terrace on the grand canal .
- Tanya (10/5): Great location worth it for the view . - Location was fantastic. Bedding was very comfortable . Views are amazing. The room itself was clean but lots of webs and bathroom was a bit dirty. Bathroom had a terrible smell every night like baby poop . It was unbearable. Lots of mold in the bathroom.
The apartment and outside seating area just needs some updating . Also lots of ants inside bathroom.
- Robert (9/5): Great location away from the tourist traffic of Venice. - Great location in a more residential area. Right on the canal so you wake up with the water and boats almost at water level. Water bus a short walk. Good WiFi allowing us to work with Zoom and email. AC was a portable unit that cooled the room quite well, but could have been quieter.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (6/5): Great location but run down property - Location on the Grand Canal It’s very difficult to find because google maps doesn’t recognize the street address so you have to use GPS coordinators which is quite challenging when you’re navigation the city. The property is kind of run down - loose shower curtain, torn drapes, no pillows on the balcony seat, balcony full of spider webs, felt grungy. The host gave us a set of four keys as we needed to go through several extremely heavy iron doors.
- Luxmore (9/5): Superb - This beautiful Venezian building is at the perfect location with an incredible view. You can sit and enjoy being ON the Grand Canal from the dock or your room. There is plenty of space on the main floor to use and it's still very private. Arriving was a bit challenging because the address is difficult to find. The bathroom does have a slight odor as well.
- Kevin (8/5): Very good - The balcony The garden light is not working
- Robert (10/5): Great stay for an awesome city. - The apartment was walking distance to all of the Venice best places to visit list.
- Maria (8/5): Very good - We loved the location and the balcony on the Grand Canal. There were few issues....but Karin the owner was amazing and all got sorted quickly.
- May (10/5): Such an amazing experience. The owner is good with follow up and communications. Caretaker at the property is the sweete - location is close to all main sites. amazing view from the deck. the caretaker lady is such an amazing and sweet person who will make sure you have everything you need. u will have to share with guests from upstairs bedroom if there were any but no one was there while we were staying so we didn’t have any issue.
- Julie (10/5): the best place to stay in Venice. karen is a legend and an amazing host - the best place to stay in Venice. karen is a legend and an amazing host
- Robin (10/5): excellent - Location on terrace on Grand Canal enjoying glass of wine perfect for what we wanted
- Simon (6/5): Pleasant - Fantastic location and we loved it. It all centres on the balcony outside, overlooking the canal between Accademia and Rialto. We spent many happy hours there watching the world go by. We also appreciated the welcoming bottle of bubbly. We found the best place in venice to eat out was the restaurant at the crossroads just 50m from the gate. Delicious. We all expect a little exaggeration in descriptions, a wide-angle lens for pics, etc, but to call this a 'honeymoon suite' is going too far! Honeymoon couples expect privacy, and to find on arrival the only private part was a small en-suite bedroom, and the outer sitting room and balcony was in fact shared with the rooms on the 1st floor, could be extremely annoying and upsetting. The balcony seats are immediately outside the bedroom window. Several other reviewers have commented on this, and it should be made much clearer at the pre-booking stage.
On a practical note, please fix the 4 dangerously protruding screws on the bathroom threshold, which are just waiting to tear the skin of an unwary bare foot and ruin someone's holiday.
- Kathy (10/5): We felt right at home and part of the city. - We loved the porch on the Grand Canal! Felt like a local watching the boats pass by. I’d highly recommend it! No complaints.
- Rosalynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (7/5): Excellent location, accommodation tired. - Location was fantastic The accommodation was very tired.
